Reviews of Kiwami: Ramen & Gyoza Bar (Jewel)
Food quality was top-notch, best gyoza i’ve tasted in a ramen restaurant. Had the wagyu ramen and it was amazingly delicious! My partner had the yuzu ramen and she commented that it was her first time having such a refreshing, non-greasy ramen :)
I got the premium Kiwami tonkotsu ramen regular for $17. It’s a really good ramen. I like the strong flavours of the broth, very rich and salty. It goes really well with all the ingredients in there. What I liked the most was the pork. It’s really soft and flavourful! Maybe it was marinated in some soy sauce base, but it’s really good and thick.
The satay gyoza was pretty good too. $10 for 5 pieces is a bit pricey, but good flavours. We also got the charcoal karaage which is very good. Very hot, juicy and crispy, really yummy and savoury. I like the mayo as it adds an extra contrast to the flavours.
The environment is nice and cosy, portions are just nice. I recommend trying out the ramen here.
was craving for ramen and i chanced upon this place. got me a small ramen, husband got the steak fried rice (which they promised the beef wld be fully cooked), and a gyoza to share. was worried we wouldn’t get a seat cos they don’t accept reservations, but when we arrived thankfully there was a 2seater for us. if you’d like a seat pls go early to avoid the crowd/queue! service by Maricel was great:-) so were the other 2 male staff (one with specs and one with centre parting). thank you!
Food was incredibly flavorful and balanced. Perfectly cooked meat in the ramen (nice broth too!), great pairing sauce for gyoza, and chili sauce with the fried soft shell crab sliders. Would highly recommend.
Staff are very friendly and attentive to our order.
Food was great and serving is generous.
Serving time is about 10-15 mins.
Excellent and friendly service from Ms Maricel and Hannah, recommending us what to eat. Yummy ramen.. delicious soup.. tried different soup bases.. all is yummy..
Delicious ramen with an extensive and detailed menu. Our 2 ramen combos were an excellent value and so tasty. I also recommend the yuzu tea! Our server was kind and funny!
Been returning here every time I come to Jewel and the food is just yummmms. They have plant based maze soba too!
Friendly and wonderful staffs. Good environment and nice bar!
Soup base is delicious. Ingredients are great! 👍👍👍
Ate $11++ Premium Black Tonkatsu Ramen (Small). I have a smaller appetite so this is perfect for me. The entire meal is very delicious and I finished all the broth as well. I will likely come again to try another flavor.
I heard that your meat, the chasu is good. Indeed, when I tried it it melts in your mouth. The problem is the noodles, it breaks easily, and average and the broth is too salty. Don't really like your shoyu also, its just full of salt.
What is the point of ramen if your meat is good, but base is bad?
Black tonkotsu ramen and shoyu ramen is unfortunate 2/5,though the meat is 5/5.
However, your steak fried rice is very delicious. The rice is of good quality and beef is extremely juicy. 5/5 for the steak rice. Unfortunately, it is a shame that for a ramen shop, your rice is good bit ramen is not that good.
Decent but not fantastic.
Good enough for casual eat and Ramen, but not for serious Ramen meals.
Even when we finish our mains,
Our side dish was not served
Came on a weekday afternoon
Not very crowded
So no idea what’s is the delay
2nd time here
Food is alright but seems to have issue with the way the serve or receive the order
We are looking for something to eat around jewel while waiting for our flight and luckily we stumbled upon this Ramen/Gyoza bar. We ordered mentaiko gyoza, premium black tonkatsu ramen, wagyu rame and matcha crepe. Everything was delicious! And the staff are friendly too! We’ll definitely visit this again and recommend to others.
We initially wanted to skip this place as it looked really posh, but then we saw the menu and realised that its prices were very affordable!
The food was truly delicious. And the unique mushroom cocktail was surprisingly good! Super pleased with the vegetarian options too. Great ambience, yummy food, good service, affordable prices, would definitely go again.
Excellent service by the crew and good was delicious and reasonably priced.
Very clean environment and nice ambience. Worth a visit if you are craving for nice bowl of ramen or gyoza 🥟
Brought my mum here to celebrate Mothers day. The shop is actually really small but i think they kind of shared space with the bbq shop next door? They allowed us to dine with their space if we agreed to leave before 7pm, which was fair enough time for us since we arrived early at about 5.45-6pm.
We tried to order a variety to share and i felt that their spicy ramen was the best out of all. The unagi rice was not too bad, but gets a little dry and gelat as you eat. Truffle edamame and the mazesoba was fine. The gyoza was nice but really overpriced though. It tasted just like any other gyoza so you are just paying for the presentation.
Soft shell crab sliders was smaller than i thought but it tasted fine. Overall the food is nice but just a little too pricey. That being said, i may still return to try their other ramen.
The yuzu ice cream was good. Other than the ice cream, the rest was pretty average - I tried the dry ramen and the soup ones but it was abit too salty for my liking. Note that the restaurant is abit smaller than expected.
The staff is really nice and friendly. We went after lunch hour. The environment is good and I like the ramen
The ramen tastes really good. Make sure you order the bigger size because you will surely ask for more. But what we love most is the crab cream croquette with truffle cream. 😏
The service was also superb. Glonie made sure that my elderly mom was accommodated properly.
Service was exceptional and food to die for! I enjoyed both items off the Autumn special menu! One word AMAZING! Gyoza in truffle sauce and the apple peach mocktaill, my taste buds are still bursting!!!!
Food, Ambience is great. Thiago at the Changi airport outlet was just brilliant reccomending me on what dishes to try. Kiwami is not noisy place and very peaceful
Best ramen I’ve tasted in Singapore
So good that it’s worth the effort to write a 5 star review
Food is so good! Ordered premium black tonkotso ramen and it was so good! But I like the tomato cheese gyoza the most. 😍
The service is also good esp. Maricel. Very accomodating and pleasant personality. 👏👏
Staff is very good and attentive. Food was great and I like that they have small portion option which is great for ladies or kids!
Good environment and serve by a friendly staff Maricel and Hannah
Ramen tastes good with rich flavor broth. But the service is really slow.
Had high expectations—got the premium tonkatsu ramen bowl (regular), but the broth wasn’t as flavourful as I hoped, and tasted lackluster (and strangely “artificial”? though I couldn’t pinpoint why). The ingredients however were great, especially the pork pieces and the egg! Honestly the meal was way too overpriced for the quality and taste in my opinion, but interesting to try a different ramen place for a change!
Also do note that water is charged here.
Food very nice premium black tonkotsu soup so nice must order
Kids love the ramen here and are always excited to come back. Soup is always finished. Great service and staffs as well.
Maricel was very hospitable! The dry ramen was SOOOOOO GOOOOD too - specially the plant based one! Must try :)
Went to Kiwami: Ramen & Gyoza Bar on a Saturday at about 11.30 am so it was just before the place gets crowded.
A very cosy restaurant that serves affordable food.
My friend and I tried the ramen in two different sizes, small and regular.
Overall a good place for Japanese food when you are in Jewel, and would love to visit the restaurant again to try out their other options again!
Great food and wonderful service by Shirley. Only set back is space is small and limited seating. Overall experience is good.
Decided on Kiwami for a late lunch and was overall pleasantly surprised. Put in an order of the Aburi Miyazaki Wagyu Tonkotsu Ramen, plus 2 servings of Gyoza (Tomato Cheese, Sanrantan) for 2 pax. As far as food goes, the ramen was a hit, but gyoza fell flat. I felt like perhaps the standard gyoza might have been better than their variations. That ramen though.. soup was robust, noodle was nice and springy (a bit on the softer side than al dente), and the wagyu was excellent. The additional sprinkling of fried garlic slices really elevated the dish as well.
Delectable food selection with an option to order smaller-sized portions, relatively compact but comfortable ambience, and attentive and hospitable staff made the dining experience a holistically positive one. Definitely recommend.
Visited for weekday lunch. As the front seats were all taken up, we thought we had to wait. But there were seats available behind.
Food took a little longer to arrive. ~20-30 mins for a ramen, fried rice and 2 sides.
The original bowl of ramen is a small sized portion. Probably upsize if you are expecting a normal portion of ramen. Taste of the tonkotsu ramen was so-so. Better options available in Jewel.
Very tasty ramen. Place is small so it is very likely that you have to wait to get a table.
Great scallops and gyoza, crab was a little fishy but nice service (provided free tea for review)
Good dinner experience! Comfortable seating for me to consume my food :) The food is yummy. The service crew are so attentive and friendly and able to answer my questions. Furthermore, the food is delicious :)
Extremely thirsty after meal. One pregnant staff was reprimanding another staff throughout my meal there, loud and noisy. Won't go back.
Very rich and nice ramen! The gyoza is also very nice! My second time here and definitely will be back for more!
The visit was perfect and the BEEF fried rice was so soft. The gyoza was perfect and crispy. The tomato and cheese gyoza goes too well together
Service was amazing, atmosphere was also very nice, but the ramen was definitely a little bit of salty.
Love the laksa’s broth. Lobster wasn’t that fresh nor good but the broth was really amazing. Had the black garlic broth too, that’s really nice as well. Where has this ramen place been hiding all my life? 😆
Nice ramen place located at Jewel. The ramen tasted really good. Recommended!
Pretty decent and fairly priced ramen and gyoza bar. The restaurant is fairly small, yet doesn’t feel cramped. Bar seating is spacious enough to be comfortable and service is fairly decent.
Abundant in food choices and an even more impressive line up of booze. The ramen tastes pretty good and service is reasonably quick.
Nothing impressive to write home about, but it definitely does not disappoint. It’s a great place to satisfy your hunger before your next flight.
Would appreciate it if they included hooks under the table for bags, considering the crowd would most probably be travellers laying over Singapore until their next flight.
Would be even better if they defaulted to English too, for the same reason.
Nitpicks apart, I can recommend them.
Since 2 shops are same group so I asked for 2 menus from the ramen and the bpq. And we tried both of these place. Very nice
I don’t normally write reviews but this is hands down one of my favourite ramen restaurants! The chashu is great and I love how you can opt for a smaller bowl of ramen at a more affordable price too
Very fragrant soup and springy noodles, first time trying their charcoal karaage and it was interesting. Highly recommend, will come back again!
Really good ramen place. The broth was really light and rich. We had the chilli oil and roasted garlic. The gyoza was really good - thin skin. Refillable tea too. Would go back to try the drinks and desserts next time.
Food arrived promptly though it would have been better if our appetizers came before our mains.
The thick pork broth in the Ramen was hearty and delicious.
My partner ordered the mala Ramen and was coughing quite badly, waitress Shirley promptly brought us 2 glasses of water on her own initiative which pleasantly surprised us.
Food is great. One of the best Yuzu flavoured ramen I had. Pork slices are super juicy, tender and the thick cut is super delicious.
Staff are very courteous and helpful.
Highly recommended.
Just touched down from Tokyo. It was 7pm and can't locate a place to sit down. Everywhere was packed and we decided initially to go home till we locate this sanctuary which has 4 empty seats. Ordered the red chilies ramen and surprisingly good.
Responsive staff and food taste good. Their bar table design very caring with platform for foot placement.
We chanced upon this place at Jewel and had a great meal with great service. We had the premium ramen which reminded me of my trip in Japan, the wagyu mazesoba and wagyu fried rice were excellent. The meat was tender and the dish was flavourful. We had a server who was super friendly and attentive.
The gyoza was average with the black vinegar source (you can choose from a selection of other vinegar sources) though.
I'm a relatively small eater and I had the regular size noodle which was just right. If you are a big eater I suggest you order some of the other side dishes too.
The wagyu ramen was flavourful and the noodles were cooked just right. Had the kani mazesoba (dry ramen) for the first time, which was something different from the usual soup ramen. Loved the broth of the spicy red ramen! Service staff was friendly and catered to our needs promptly.
Staffs are friendly and actively checking on our orders. Food was nice and definitely recommending their yuzu ice cream!
Enjoyed the bowl of delicious ramen here at jewel, changi airport!
Thank you Maricel for making our experience better.
The Cha Shu pork was so fatty, tender and flavourful! The best I’ve ever had
Nice staffs and delicious food
Staff was attentive when handling our queries and was patient. Food is fantastic. Service was fast and efficient too. Highly recommend
Both ramen and gyoza were yummy and good that there is small portion option
Cashier lady was extremely rude, first she insisted there was a menu at the front of the store for me to view when there wasn’t, then when i had finished my meal and was sitting down to reply some emails, she came to ask me to settle the bill, even though it wasn’t near closing time at all. She responds to everything as though money is owed to her, lol. Rest of the service staff are okay. Food was nice.
Love that they offer small portions. Tasty ramen too
The place is inviting and cozy. The service is good. The food is excellent. Glonie, our service attendant is courteous, friendly and very accomodating. Highly recommended to our families and friends.
We had an excellent experience at the restaurant, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. The service was outstanding, and Maricel, who assisted us, was especially fantastic. As a Filipino myself, I was delighted to see Maricel's warm and accommodating approach to customer service. She made us feel welcome and attended to all of our needs throughout the meal. I appreciate her attention to detail and her friendly demeanor, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Maricel, for your excellent service, and thank you to the restaurant for a wonderful meal.
Kiwami is our favourite ramen place , not only for their good food but also great in service with friendly & professional staff . Kudos to Glonie for her good service!
Food was great especially the pork and service was fast and efficient
Mrs. Maricel Very Good Servant and approaching, friendly, Very good Food 😊❤️
Yummy Ramen & Gyoza!
Warm & friendly service by Maricel & her team.
Nice ramen place, many different varieties to try.
Very good food, kind staff (cherley, maricel, hana), very good atmosphere
Nice ambience. Great taste of bot ramen n fried rice. Thank you for the juice compliment for my daughter 😊
Quick and attentive service
Dining here was great! Service and food were exceptional. Glonie and Thuta were very very kind and helpful. 10/10!
Good food and service staff
Wow...... their wagyu is perfection .. ramen.. perfection...
The lobster laksa was great
Excellent ramen. Very tasty broth. I had the red tonkostu. The pork is much better quality than most places. Great gyoza dip.
Food is nice and service is great, highly recommend to have something to eat.
🏠Environment: The small restaurant on the first floor of Jewel Changi is small, but it has very high ratings on Google. You must try it.
💁🏻♀️Service: The service is pretty average. I ordered a dumpling and waited for half an hour but it still didn’t come. We didn’t wait until we urged the waiter to wait for a while before he came late. I guess he missed the order. There weren’t many in the store. It's not easy to miss an order when there are only one customer. What's more, hot water here is charged.
🍽️Taste:
👉Tomato Gyoza $10 - It is one of the must-order dishes according to the Internet. It is an ordinary fried dumpling with tomato juice and cheese. It looks quite unique but tastes average.
👉Premium Black Tonkotsu Ramen (small) $11 - The ramen here has regular and small portions to choose from, which is good. The ramen is well-deserved, the soup is very delicious, and you won’t feel dry after eating. The meat is Fresh and tender, the noodles are chewy.
👉Wagyu Ramen Small $16 - Better quality Wagyu beef, very tender, and the milky white soup is also delicious.
Very good service
We ordered a tonkotsu ramen. Very tasty and recommended. We compared a few others visually and we immediately liked this one.
The tonkotsu ramen broth is rich and the chashu is a large piece of pork cutlet, making it a great place to have a hearty meal. Beer quality is good too
Delicious exchanges, we recommend
Tonkotsu ramen was delicious. Cha shu was unique and amazingly good. Partner loved that there were smaller portions available too.
It is very relaxing the food is very nivellce
