Little Part 2 Cafe: A Hidden Culinary Gem 🍔
I visited Little Part 2 Cafe at noon, and the cozy ambiance welcomed me. Its unassuming facade hinted at something special—a cozy retreat away from the bustling city.
Stepping inside, I was enveloped in a comforting ambiance. Wooden accents adorned the walls, and soft lighting created an intimate setting. The chatter of fellow diners added to the charm. It felt like a secret shared among those who knew.
The menu unfolded before me, a delightful mix of flavors. Brunch options beckoned—the promise of runny eggs and crispy bacon.
We had the Big Part Breakfast and Spicy Seafood Linguine which were delicious!
The creamy Latte was just nice too.
Will return to try the other dishes soon. 😊
Stopped by for a drink on a nice quiet Sunday afternoon. Nice place to chill. The drink (Blackcurrant Sparkling Citrus) was pleasing to the eye and tasted good too. Will come back to try the food next time.
Came back today. Sat on the same place and ordered the same drink. Even though it’s been 2 months, the guy remembered me.
Was almost empty when we visited on a weekend evening. Seems to be a pet friendly establishment. Food was just alright and felt slightly overpriced for the quality and portion served.
Cozy little dog friendly cafe. Pleasantly surprised at the quality & taste of food. Had the spinach & 3 cheese pizza - really good. The beef stew was very well done too - tender & flavourful. Highly recommended - esp for pawrents.. can make some pet food pls?
Nice cozy environment. One of the less crowded cafe allowing pets. Nice clean environment. Good food selection just a little more than I expected base on quantity given. Overall nice cafe to chill with your pet dog.
Had a pleasant experience dining with Little Parts 2 Cafe. The Pet Friendly area is well ventilated and clean. My dog was treated to a clean bowl of water and treats.
Whenever I bring my dogs to the vet, we sure come here for food. The service and food are good. The most important is pet friendly.
Hidden gem in Sunset way!! Really awesome food, attentive service and great atmosphere. I had the chicken roulade, which was cooked and prepared perfectly. Also a nice surprise that they don’t charge gst and service tax. Would visit again!
Great cafe/bar to chill with minimalistic vibes. Many options for food and alcohol (different variety). Awesome food and drinks!
chanced upon this super cute spot! decent prices (NO GST! & SERVICE CHARGE!!), food was well portioned and yummy. i had the spam fries and calamari
Overall food is good except Lamb. Staff is excellence!
Overall ambience is fine can have better deco.
Good food place with great staff. The sausage taste a bit off that day
Ambience - 4/5 stars
Service - 5/5 Stars
Food - 3/5 Stars
Located in a cozy corner of sunset way, it was nice and quiet on a Saturday afternoon. With the absence of the rambunctious dinner crowd of Chin Hiat Live Seafood next door, it makes for a great location for weekend catching up brunch and lunch amongst family and friends.
Due to the heatwave that we are currently experiencing, i opted to be seated indoors. Perhaps due to the intensity of the sun, indoor seating did not provide me much relief from the heat, and the air-conditioning felt meager at best.
I ordered the following initially:
Mussels in white wine (500g) - 4/5 stars
A hearty serving of Mussels in white wine, onion and garlic, served with 2 pieces of toast for you to soak up the broth. One of the things i look out for in Mussels dishes is the presence of any Mussels still sealed shut after cooking, which to my delight there were none. Mussels were nice and plump, not very uniform in size but negligible due to quality. Onions went really well with the toast, but i found the broth to be a tad too salty. A paper bag was provided to discard the shells, good attention to a small but important detail. Great start to the meal.
Chicken Roulade - 4/5 Stars
Chicken thighs wrapped around apple and bacon filling grilled to perfection, paired with a cream-mushroom sauce and boiled vegetables. By itself, the chicken Roulade felt flat, but paired with the accompanying cream-baed sauce, it toned down the saltiness and opened up a plethora of flavors. Just enough bacon to compliment the taste of the chicken without overpowering it, and a little acidity from the tartness of the apple to bring forth the flavors. Much better than the usual chicken roulade stiffed with cheese commonly found in other establishments. Alternating the chicken with the vegetables which were light but not bland, it was a great dish overall. Once again, salt could be reduced a little due to the nature of the ingredients.
I enjoyed the first two dishes so much that, against the better judgement of my calorie-counting brain, I ordered one more:
Smoked-duck linguine in pesto with ikura - 2/5 stars
Unfortunately this dish proved to be my downfall. The entire composition was flat, summarised with one word - salty. The smoked duck was salty. The ikura was salty. The pesto was salty. It was gruelling to finish. Being a huge fan of pesto, it was to my dismay that the pesto here did not include pine nuts, just olive oil, cilantro and garlic. Hence, even though the linguine was evenly coated by the pesto oil, ultimately it felt dry much like an Aglio Olio instead. The heavy flavors of the 3 ingredients blended into one indistinctive flavor, with my only respite coming from the cherry tomatoes which i had to ration to finish the dish.
The service here on the other hand, was absolutely excellent. The waiting staff did not interrupt me while i was browsing the menu outside but invited me in the moment i looked up from the menu. I left my bag on the floor out of habit, they noticed and offered a chair. Initially, i was provided with only a fork and knife due to not requiring a spoon for my first two dishes, once i ordered my pasta a spoon was brought over immediately. Lastly, the one thing I've always appreciated was being asked how my meal was, which they did.
Service was really friendly and the place has unique drinks and dishes. Almost everything we ordered was enjoyable.
Same environment with the same vibe from the guys at Little Part One Cafe.
Now Little Part II Cafe.
Good food at a reasonable price. The menu was pretty diverse. I particularly liked the maple glazed bacon pizza and scallop ikura mentaiko pasta.
