Reviews of Makan Melaka Cendol
The curry puff was really good. So was the fried banana. The cendol seems really popular, even in drink form.
Curry puff was cheap and you can buy just one which I appreciated.
One of the best chendol in sg, I'm quite regular here, always here for the soto ayam and mee soto together with their chendol, for my preference will be the corn chendol, today had my lunch here decided to have nasi lemak. Not bad, better than those hawker center ones which used to be so nice and cheap but not now.
Pretty good chendol with good variety..
But I also prefer their Kuehs and curry puffs. Lots of traditional stuff.. But like the goreng pisang the most.. nice crispy doigh with a softer ans sweet pisang!! yummy. Nice decorations decent service and both inside and outdoor seatings.. enjoy
Nice chendol Melaka & Goreng Pisang Melaka here. Other local Malay dishes like nasi lemak, soto ayam and mee rebus are also available too. The only negative is they don't serve hot drinks like coffee and teh tarik here but only chendol. limited seating area so avoid peak periods when coming down.
Had the traditional chendol, banana balls and fried chicken wings.
Chendol was simple and refreshing. Sweet and slightly salty? Not the icy kind.. became drinkable rather quickly.
Banana balls were chewy sort. Goreng pisang was sadly sold out.
Chicken wings were great, their sambal goes well with it. Many tables around were having their nasi lemak. Legit alternative to Changi village hawker versions.
Service was great, friendly with a smile!
Makan Melaka is located at Changi Village. Nice Vintage look shop with varieties of Malay food.
Flavor is authentic to Melaka Chendol. More coconut would be great. However is is very very good. Way better than the nyonya Chendol at airport road or bukit timah food center.
Value for money from $1.50 onwards. Love it! Melaka Chendol right at Singapore soil. 👍
Allowed to add more brown sugar if you find that the chendol served is not favourful enough.
Can give it a try if you're at Changi V area.
It's quite average for me. Ask for extra chendol and a little bit more gula melaka... it tastes a lot better.
Great vibe. Love the outdoor seating and great if you are riding as you can park and eat. It's got nice nasi lemak, simple. I tried the cendol and it's probably best to eat on the spot.
Went here for lunch as I had some work at Changi area...So far I have tried the nasi lemak which was superb!! The chicken was served hot and crispy, they used basmati rice and the sambal was perfect!! They might be lacking on the peanuts at that time or maybe they don't serve it at all since some people have allergies but overall it was a great experience having lunch there. The queue was also short as I went there on a weekday. Next I tried their pisang goreng. Remember to ask for the chilli and you dip it and eat it, best believe man!! No regrets. For dessert, I tried the chendol Melaka. The gula Melaka was a bit overwhelming but maybe it should taste this way or I might have drank it too fast. Overall atmosphere over there was warm and cosy and the staff were very friendly. They have a toilet and wash basin at the back too.
Taste good but abit too sweet. Always long queue. Price very fair.
Cheap good honest cendol, good
Simple Cendol with not a lot of fancy ingredients in the original one (you can add red bean, durian and stuff). The flavour quite sweet but it’s a lot of gula Melaka, good quite value. On top of that Changi Village hot day there is the appropriate place for cendol, a lot of bike riders go and que up.
Brings back memories of eating chendol in melaka... literally. The chendol here is more like Malaysia version. Juts chendol, gula malaka n ice. But they do have alot of different versions which are Singapore -like w durian...redbean etc. U can choose. Enjoyed the chendol. During lunch time when hawker is crowded n you want a cooling place to sit n chill...here is a good alternative at very affo price
Pretty good bowl or melaka styled chendol for just $2 a bowl. The bowl was salty and sweet at the same time, service was also very fast. I love the taste of the corn being used for the chendol itself, often times you will probably see long queue at this stall as well!
No-frills shop that sells Malay fare. Most people came here for the chendol which was cheap and good. The gula melaka in the chendol was substantial but surprisingly, not too sweet. You can choose to customise with the different toppings. The shop is found just opposite the hawker centre.
The shaved ice used to be fine. Now there are bits of rough ice. The quantity of the chendol has also shrunk inspite of the price increase. Got better chendol elsewhere. Not coming back.
I like the chendol here. I always eat the chendol whenever I come to Changi village. Cycling here from Marine Parade is 25km and the chendol seems to take away the tiredness. Price is reasonable too.
I went to the new outlet at Haig Road.
Both Assam pedas & Cendol are super tasty. It’s Yummylicious.
Rating 5 ⭐️ 5 😋
10 mins queue and busy place after lunch hour. Chendol not too sweet, I think that’s why it appeals to many people. But I personally prefer it sweet. Price is very reasonable.
Had a bowl of original chendol $1.70 up from $1.50 from the last time I ate.
This time, there's very little green stuff and not enough gula melaka.
Chendol...yummmmz
Not the factory prepared stuff...can differentiate from its light green plump chendol
Do ask for more gula melaka to get the real kick...heck...more chendol and red beans too
Red bean Cendol was too sweet and the cendol too soft. Still many to solved my cendol craving! I give Average!
Cendol BEST OF BEST...like in Melaka Lah
MUST TRY
Great tasting chendol...closest you can get without going to melaka for it
The best and affordable. Must try their Durian Chendol, RM8.
Best cendol ever tasted in SG. Closest taste to Malaysia cendol
Cheap and good! Can also add more kidney beans. So shiok.
Best authentic cendol in Singapore!
One of the best Malacca style Chendol in Singapore
Closes early, around 7-8p.m.
Cendol was ok and cozy place
Good and cheap food!
Average
Average chendol
The closest thing to the taste of Malacca Cendol in Malaysia.
This small shop often has a long line, but it's worth the wait.
The coconut sugar in the Cendol I tried this time had a slightly burnt and bitter taste, which was a minor flaw. It's definitely my go-to choice in Changi on a hot day.
Very nice cendol and Wadeh...shiok lah
Very tasty. Come here to enjoy cendol and sea air. Great fried banana with soy sauce chili. Crazy power
