Reviews of Marcy's
Great flavours, variety of flavours and textures. Western dishes with some Asian influences. Good ingredients.
Pacific amberjack tiradito with Sundream tomatoes and Avruga caviar ($29) - Good. Fresh and the emulsion went well with the fish.
Live white clams Rockefeller with Calabrian chilli crumbs and Sichuan oil ($24) - Good. The chilli crumbs went well with the clams.
Crispy Brussels sprouts with apple gastrique and puffed wild rice ($15) - Good. Enjoyed the sweet, charred Brussels sprouts.
Mafaldine with raw red prawn, fried spot prawn and lime leaf ($35) - Excellent combination of large raw prawns and small fried prawns.
Le bête noire ($16) - Outstanding. The passionfruit puree went well with the chocolate cake.
Super cute restaurant with unique interior designs and lovely atmosphere!
Food is perfect for those who loves seafood as there's lots of options available!
Definitely would recommend having two appetisers, two mains and a dessert to share!
Absolutely ADORED my dinner here (prices are crazy steep) but!! I’d gladly return here again and again. Pork chops were flavorful, cooked to perfection with the best bite and texture, and was easily shared between two. The octopus rigatoni was also absolutely delicious with generous chunks of octopus. The charred Brussels sprouts were alright. You could skip those. The pecan pie sundae though? Absolutely phenomenal. The fact that almost every single dish was a win for me was enough for me to give this place a 5 star rating. Not to mention the vibe, venue, and playlists. Staff were also generous and went out of their way to make special occasions like birthdays meaningful as well. Loved this.
had one of the best meals i’ve had in a hot minute here last weekend!
the starters were undoubtedly the main event. marcy’s crab toast took my breath away with its umami buttery goodness, and the fritto misto was perfectly seasoned and executed with impressive refinement
the octopus rigatoni (while slightly overcooked for me & somewhat lacking cohesion — the elements felt a bit separate) featured the most tender octopus i’ve ever tasted. i didn’t know octopus could be cooked like that.
hamachi kama is one of my fav cuts of fish, and this was cooked very well & fish was very fresh! but this was p standard — nothing particularly genre defying or mind blowing. i liked the sauce a lot and wished there were more :-)
we almost gave the desserts a miss but were delighted by the pecan pie sundae — peanut buttery salty sweet goodness delivered across a range of textures and flavors? say less…
service was also excellent, and the interior was so vibey!! will definitely be back
impressed by this place. we had live clams, crab toast, prawn mafaldine and squid rigatoni. all were really good. highly recommend the mafaldine, taste was very unique with a italian-asian fusion spin - we really enjoyed it though it may not be for everyone.
other than that service was really good despite the crowd, we were well looked after and served. note that on crowded nights the place might be quite noisy, though we were fine with it.
great experience and will be back!
Been wanting to visit for ages and Marcy's exceeded my expectations!
Ambience was lovely. I went on a PH eve for dinner and despite the crowd, the space felt cozy rather than cramped and loud.
Food wise, we initially wanted to have a crudo but decided to be a little more adventurous and got the monkfish parfait instead— best decision of the evening. It was a harmonious, refreshing yet intensely umami combination of flavours that we couldn't get enough of. An absolute must have. Everything we had was so flavourful yet balanced. My only regret is not having a bigger appetite.
Service was also very warm and welcoming!
Recommend to come in a bigger group so you can try more dishes. Will be back!
The crab dishes came with fresh chunks of the meat - awesome for crab lovers out there. We also ordered the salmon Wellington which was an off-menu special. The fish was cooked perfectly being still pink in the middle, though the pastry crust could have been slightly crispier. Overall the food and dining experience were great.
Thanks for looking after us, a group of 14. We appreciate the kind hospitality from Daniel, and shout to the entire team and kitchen for being awesome. Will be back again for sure.
Amberjack, scallops, monkfish liver pate, prawn malfadine, pecan sundae were my personal faves
Nice ambience with good service from the team; food is good but no particular dish that gave us the wow factor. Party of 6 and for starter, we had the crab toast, Hokkaido scallop and crispy Brussels sprouts of which, we really enjoyed the Brussels spouts most. For mains, we had crab rice, rigatoni, Malfadine, catch of the day and Iberico pork chop. Good feedback on the Iberico pork chop, catch of the day and rigatoni. Ended off our meal with the pecan sundae and noir cake which we enjoyed.
Marcy's - an instant favourite. From the quality of the food, to the interior decor and atmosphere, and the service - a resoundingly stellar 5/5 across the board coming from me. Rarely have I ever dined in an establishment that has amazed me to this degree.
1. Food
Appended images for everyone's reference. Each and every dish holds their own, with bold and clean flavours that never fail to intrigue your tastebuds, and more importantly, satisfy your stomach. Special mention has to go to the 2 starters we tried: Pacific Amberjack Tiradito, and the eponymous Marcy's Crab toast. For us, they were without a doubt the stars of the dinner that night, and I heartily recommend everyone to give them a try. Flavours were bright, fresh, delightfully tart. Special hint: the sauces/gravy (not sure of th exact culinary term) were cleaned off the plate completely by us. Not to say the other dishes were weak, however. The octopus rigatoni and crab rice offered a denser, richer, carbohydrate focused experience which was a delight with every bite. Dessert wise, the pecan pie sundae was superbly rich, and ended off the meal perfectly for me. Small word of warning is that it can be a little heavy for those with smaller stomachs, especially if you have been feasting on their menu items prior.
2. Atmosphere and decor.
Undoubtedly crowded, and well deservedly so. Was it the best place for a romantic anniversary celebration? The photos speak for themselves, a darker, moodier lighting with lovely decor makes for a excellent environment, but the only thing that detracts from the atmosphere is the crowd, which is impossible to fault them for. Oh I must mention. The music is excellent too. Overall, still excellent.
3. Service.
Last and definitely not least. We were served by a few of the service staff who were all warm, friendly, and professional. However, I must dedicate a small passage to this gentleman amongst their staff. Unfortunately, I did not manage to get his name, but he was working on the night of 4/11/23. Off the bat, he knew my name, was aware of all the preferences we had indicated to them, including my partner's dietary requirements, and provided prompt service. He was also warm and accommodating, even to our request if we could switch to the bar seats for a drink after we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Definitely made the whole dining experience so much more fantastic.
My partner and I had a lovely anniversary dinner here. As of our visit, my review of Marcy's is that it stands loud and proud amongst many of the restaurants we have tried together. Please, do give Marcy's a visit.
Sublime.
Overall, it is an overhyped place that did not deliver to my expectations. Saw this restaurant/bar a lot on social media and decided to come here to celebrate my mom's birthday. A party of 6 and they gave us a pretty bad table right at the door. Hence, we did not get to enjoy much of the decor of the place.
We got the Brussel sprouts and crab toast to start. Brussel sprouts were sweet and nice. The crab toast was a letdown. It was supposed to be their signature, but the crab on top of the toast tasted just like boiled crab, little to no flavor. The toast was good though, just not the crab.
The mains all around were nothing spectacular. Got the Octopus rigatoni, red prawn malfadine, crab rice, iberico pork chop and the daily catch, which was a sea bream. The best would be the sea bream, they fried the skin of the fish with the scales and it added this crispness that was wonderful. Lastly, we got the pecan pie sundae for dessert. Probably the best dish out of the entire meal. Rich, creamy and just pure bliss!
Service was alright, nothing much to comment about it, because there was little of it. However, I got the feeling they were trying to convince us to buy more food than we actually need by emphasizing their menu is a sharing menu and told us to order more for all of us to share.
Would not be my first choice for a dinner place.
The restaurant provided an incredible dining experience with prompt food service that maintained a perfect balance between the starter and main course.
The crab toast was a unique delight, bursting with generous crab meat that is definitely worth a try.
The Brussels sprouts had a delightful air-fried flavor that emitted a distinctive and appealing aroma, although they were slightly oily. Nevertheless, I recommend trying them due to their unique fragrance.
The Iberico chop exceeded expectations with its surprisingly large and thick cut, suitable for sharing between two individuals. The slow cooking process seemed to have locked in the juices, resulting in an amazingly tender texture that is highly recommended, despite a touch of oiliness.
The staff provided exceptional and helpful service, taking the time to introduce and explain menu items when requested. Their experience and knowledge greatly enhanced the dining experience, making it an unexpectedly delightful visit. I look forward to returning.
The environment was perfect for a late fancy dinner! the staff were nice and helped recommend what dishes are peoples favourite. however the food could’ve been better despite the reviews. personal favourite was iberico pork chop though! since it was my girlfriends birthday they even complimented a small miso cake for us! the flavour though was a surprise 😅😅
Nicely designed restaurant with a lot of details and heavy on the reds and greens as the anchor of the design language. May need to enhance the lighting so that more photos can be captured.
Service team is energetic, well-versed and pleasant to engage.
As a seafood place, they serve them fresh but I thought most of the sauces are either too acidic or they hit the sour note too high up there - making it unpleasant and hard to mop up the sauces and condiments.
We ordered the pork under the recco of one of the service staff. The meat as nicely seared and felt like sous vide. The cut we had was mostly fat and had very little meat on it.
Crab toast was lovely. Scallop was fresh! These are the must order for starter.
It was all well but we had to stick with one miserable side plate from beginning to the end. The acidic liquid stuck with us through the main course and played a lot of tricks on our taste buds.
Then half way through the main course we heard a server offering to change the side plates for their main course. We felt abit annoyed but what to do?
Super good food! But kinda pricey given portion sizes :” recommend the crab toast, amberjack, prawn pasta and pork chop! If you indicate bday you also get a small slice of fudge cake with a candle, cute way to end the meal :) restaurant vibes are also suuuper cute. rmb to make a reso!
I love everything about this little gem! The food, the service, the decor & the vibe. It makes me feel like I'm in NYC almost! I love the idea behind the small plates so you can try more things. The food was amazing! Very innovative, clean, fresh flavours. My favourites were the crab toast, wagyu tartare, amberjack, scallop & swordfish crudo, and the pecan pie sundae (basically everything I ate) Be sure to order a cocktail from the bar, they are delicious! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone :) and I'll most certainly be coming back again!
Seafood was really good! The restaurant ambience had a really unique vibe inside as well!
Atmosphere strikes a good balance between intimate and not too formal. Food was fun just like the interior decor. Thank you to Cheryl especially for such attentive and lovely service!
The food was amazing. My group of 6 ordered a whole host of appetizers and mains. Even though everything was Michelin star standard, (thanks chef Ryan!) special shout out to the Hokkaido scallop, iberico chop and mafaldine. And because my friend was celebrating her 40th birthday, server Matthew arranged for a complimentary Brussel sprouts that were inhaled by all of us. All of us highly recommend it. We would have happily paid for it. And just before we left, bartender Ian presented all of us a complimentary shot to send us off happily. We'll definitely be back!
I seldom give me review to a restaurant, but I feel like to say something for the Marcy’s.
Featured in seafood, with little twists of Asian flavor. Shiso leaves in the raw Amberjack, kimchi in the mussel, lime leaves in the red prawn pasta. And of course, the fantastic cocktails from the friendly bartender.
Not just the quality, I appreciate the chef dedication to a wonderful feast for me and my wife. Will come back for more.
Love the service from Vin, Diva & Nick the drinks were fantastic, my favourite being Cafe Rosita. Thanks for hosting us!
Upon entering Marcy’s, you immediately feel at home. The decor takes on a victorian style but if your quirky aunt decided to add her own splash of DIY fun. We had beef tartare to start, which came with corn tortillas. It had a dash of chilli oil and cilantro which woke my palette up immediately. Followed by the crab toasts, which did not really do well for us. It had a bit too much of a soft bite as a whole. The crab rice and beef rigatoni though, were exceptional. The crab and octopus in both dishes respectively were SO TENDER and flavourful. I loved the octopus so much, but wished the sauce was a tad bit less salty.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Marcy’s and will be back for special occasions. Thank you for the team for making our Christmas memorable! 🎄🤶🏼❣️
updated review from my second visit, but the quality and taste of the food remained consistent, if not better than my previous visit. and managed to get some shots this time and you can see just how stunning this interior is!
one of the best restaurant experiences i've had in sg in awhile! other than the stunning interior and ambiance, the food and cocktails were really outstanding. i had the red prawn mafaldine and it was truly one of the best pastas i've had in my life, with the freshness of prawns and richness of the sauce. on top of all these, the servers were very friendly and accommodating to our requests, appreciate it so much!! 10/10 definitely visit this place
Love the food and ambience here! It’s a really nice place for celebrations. Brussels sprouts are perfectly crisp and tasty (reminds us of lok lok). Highlight for us was the pecan pie sundae😋 it had a really nice and gooey filling and buttery crust.
The trifecta of great food, drinks, and service never fails to impress. It's a favorite spot among my friends and i, and for good reason - quality & consistency

an innovative culinary gem nestled in the cosy yet vibrant duxton hill, the restaurant is intimate, elegant and vintage, with every detail—from the scalloped lampshades reminiscent of seashells to the nostalgic jazz tunes filling the air—transporting me to what seemed like a majestic, bygone era.
we got their famous 🐙 𝙊𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙪𝙨 𝙍𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙞 [$35] with red wine-braised octopus and beef tendon. it was nothing like i’ve tried before, each spoonful of the red wine tomato sauce being rich and mellow and paired well with chunks of fresh octopus. i loved this!!
we also got their iconic 🦀 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙮'𝙨 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙗 𝙏𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩 [$26]—a generous pile of blue manna crab and smoked enoki atop a crispy slice of brioche toast covered with umami butter. the shreds of crab meat were satisfyingly zesty and i loved how the surrounding buttery meunière sauce complemented every bite.
lastly, we got their 🦀 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙗 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙚 [$37]—a large serving of rice in shellfish stock underlying soft shell crabs and guanciale. i really enjoyed how it delivered an unconventional seafood flavour that was blended with hints of sweetness. i’m a fan!!!
tldr—come here for a date night PLEASE!!!!! the vibes are beyond perfect and apiary is right around the corner for the perfect dessert to end the night 🤭
Had a wonderful time at Marcy’s with friends! The ambience was cozy and inviting, and the playlist set the perfect vibe for the evening. The food was incredible—special mention to the Iberico pork chops, which were absolutely delicious! Miguel was an amazing host, attentive and friendly, making the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!
Amazing time at Marcy’s! Food was really good and the service staff was great! It’s been a while since i’ve found a place in singapore that i’ll willingly go back again for. fantastic!
Marcy’s is true bistrot dining - there’s an inventiveness around the food but it’s not too heavy on the palate. Seafood focused but playful with a wider range of ingredients, this is a restaurant that’s worth stopping over for. Don’t skip the clams Rockefeller or the grilled octopus - they’re really good!
My first experience dining in a vintage setting like Marcy’s. Chandeliers glowed dimly that set the cosy atmosphere. Food are delicious with well balanced taste. A great balance mixed of fresh herbs. The beef tartare and amberjack are great raw starters. The chef’s Special for the day is Seabream. Could taste the sweet freshness of the the fillet in their special sauce. It tasted like red wine and sweet vinegar (I think so). Enjoyed this dish! The Red Prawn Mafaldine blended well in creamy sauce. Overall, nice food nice place with friendly crew.
Had a great meal at Marcy’s last night. We started off with the appetisers - the signature Crab Toast and it was so flavourful and delicious! We also had the mains - Rigatoni, Iberico Chop and Sea Bream (really loved the sauce!) and it definitely did not disappoint! We ended off with desserts (Pecan pie, Millionaire Bar and Calamansi Tart) and we wanted to have more! The house wine also paired well with all the food we ordered. The service we experienced was wonderful too from the team at Marcy’s. Good food and great hospitality overall - would definitely recommend my friends and family to come here.
This lovey restaurant has left the best impressions. Great ambience, fantastic food and excellent service!
Will definitely be back to try other dishes.
I love the food at Marcy's ! A perfect date night place without it being too fancy. You can tell by the number of "table for twos" set up that it's couple place. The area is not huge though so don't expect the intimate dining experience.
We ordered an Iberico pork chop and Hamachi collar to share with a side of brussel sprouts. The pork chop was tender and complemented the various flavours on the plate. The Hamachi collar is sweet and cooked lightly so that every bite is greeted with a firm and yet moist insides.
The dessert - my favourite is the pecan pie. Carmalised pecan on top of lush vanilla ice cream topped with cookie crumble - what else can top that???
The decor is eclectic with a plush velvet feel around the place and sits behind a very unassuming door.
Reservations are available at two timings and requires a deposit 48 hrs before. No shows will have a $50 imposed which is reasonable for a limited seating space such as this.
Really pleased with the hubs for finding this little spot. 10/10 will recommend!
Nice spot! Honestly no complaints on service and ambience. Food was good too. The pecan pie sundae was not so good, gelato didn't have much in terms of taste. But all other food was great. We got Altamura, Beef tartare, Iberico porkchops and Crab rice.
Had a sublime dining experience at Marcy's. A great addition to Singapore's dining scene as there's nothing else quite like it here. The food is modern Latin with South East Asian influences, with a heavy focus on seafood focus. Almost every dish was a hit. Definitely order the oysters, scallops, octopus pasta, madaldine prawn pasta, and the homemade pecan pie sundae. Their cocktails are an absolute must order as well. Great decor and vibe too!
Had my birthday at Marcy's
It was a pity that I could not try their cocktails(due to my condition) because they all seemed very good.
I had a pleasant surprise when they served me me their signature pecan pie ice cream(I think that's what it's called) for my birthday.
Great food in general, and service could not have been better.
Love the restaurant’s “old world charm” deco and it is a place to visit if you love seafood! Third time there and their sauces leave me wanting for more!
Must order
-Crab toast
-Hokkaido scallops
-Mussels with brioche and home made butter
(The brioche was SO good that we ordered 2 portions to soak up the sauce from the mussels but I ate it with mounds of super smooth butter on top of the toast- to hell w calories!)
- we tried the octopus which was nicely grilled over bincho but felt the “sambal” like sauce was too much and over powered the octopus - which was a bit of a shame….
- Red Prawn Malfadine (MUST ORDER) the sauce is umami and rich like a prawn/lobster bisque
- Black Rice with Uni and Ika (firefly squid)
Was delicious but the Ika had a strong fishy taste when you bit into it…. (You either love it or hate it)
- we always order the deconstructed pecan pie. THE BEST!
Our first time. We like the atmosphere, food and service. The food is interesting though my partner says a bit on the salty side. Innovative can I say that? The guy that serviced our table is friendly n helpful. Will visit again.
Really impressed by the attentive waitstaff! Brought my wife there for her birthday and he immediately noticed she was pregnant and recommended a good mocktail, ensured that the raw seafood was cooked, and even capped off with a non alcoholic substitute shot for her after the meal.
The prawn malfadine is a must try. I'm particular about handmade pastas but this was really good.
The vibe is also great with a cozy ambience. Bonus: waiter is good at taking your photo too.
Lovely place with a great ambience. It was great that my kids could come a long too. Every single dish was a hit with us! Only wished I could eat more!!! Thanks for also being super attentive to our needs like refilling our water and helping us with a family picture. We would love to be back again and I'd highly recommend everyone to patronise.
5 stars for this meal; whoever was in charge of the playlist for today - impeccable!
Good thing first: the squid lnk uni rice was super delicious. Bad thing: pork chop was way too salty even for my salty tongue, service was fantastic for some but aloof for some. Worse thing is at this price point I know your dining hours limit don't need to shove my bill to me when I don't ask for it.
An amazing cozy restaurant tucked away at Duxton Road. Homely ambience and fantastic food! Try all the seafood - snapper, octopus, crab toast, clams, prawns etc. Every dish was masterfully put together. Would definitely come back again.
Felt like home. This place is such a gem. The food was unassuming and well done. Sit at the bar, where you get to try the great cocktails while you're there. The only down side is the lack of more cocktails to try but I'm.sure the bacon cocktail will leave you satisfied. ( Also pls order the grilled brocolini , you will thank me) would be back soon , with a new liver and a bigger appetite. Come hang out on the lower "east" side of Duxton!
I never usually write reviews, but I have made an exception for Marcys. Staff exceptional, especially the American (apologies if I have it wrong) bar tender… the food recommendations were excellent and I walked away entertained and completely satisfied. I will be telling everyone to try here!
Great ambience, decent tasting seafood restaurant. Suitable for intimate dates, gathering and overall a nice place to visit. Total damage ~$160
Signature dessert is a must try!
DAMN BUSSSSSST recommend the crab toast.. we ended up ordering 2
Really enjoyed the dining experience here. Loved the oysters, clams, rice and pasta options. Cocktails are great too and huge thanks to bartender Ian for the amazing hospitality
Had a really great time here. The food was delicious and service was great! I would recommend the Brussel sprouts and crab toast. Props to the waiters for making us feel at home and being so friendly., The ambience is great as well.
I’m 97% sure I got laid because I brought my date to Marcy’s.
The food was dope, the hospitality was dope-er.
The vibes was immaculate.
I did very little to end the night with a bang.
Merci Marcy’s!
Food was excellent. Especially recommend the desserts - if you're there with a party, get one of each as they all offer something different. Service was warm and friendly and really made it a pleasant evening.
Marcy's is a delight. Offering a selection of dishes with an approachable complexity. One that often connects flavors you have tasted before but presented in new and exciting ways that make it a singular dining experience with a curated decor to match. A perfect place for small gatherings or an intimate date night.
In an effort to not make this a very long read I will highlight three dishes that I continue to think about almost a week after my meal. The first is the Hokkaido Scallop Crudo. As soon as I had my first bite I knew a wonderful dining experience laid ahead. This dish is bright in flavors; from the freshness of the scallops to the accompanying coconut leche tigre with chive oil; and the roe, caviar, and cucumbers offering a needed textural contrast. A total knockout.
The second dish that surprised me was the Spicy Clam Rockerfeller. A take on a New Orleans favorite with a kick from the Sichuan oil. I could have snacked on these all night.
My undisputed star of the night was the Malfadine. When you hear raw and fried prawn in a dish you expect it to be fishy but this dish is so well balanced. The pasta is perfectly al-dente. coated generously in sauce which brings the whole thing together. I didn't want to share this one. The raw and fried prawns worked so well together. I can't wait to eat this again.
In addition to the spectacular dishes, the cocktails offered are just as exciting and you can easily find something to pair with your favorites on the menu.
One additional note; the exceptional service and attentiveness offered by the staff at Marcy's only added to a wonderful dining experience.
Amazing food, amazing services and amazing ambience. Celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here and everything met our expectations ❤️ Red Prawn Mafaldine was our favourite.
Excellent vibe, great food, even greater service. Amazing for dates in my opinion.
A little slice of West Village in Duxton! A small, but carefully curated menu that’s fantastically executed. Solid and reasonably priced cocktails, convivial service, and a gorgeous interior. Such a gem! Book before it becomes impossible to.
Food and service were overall pretty good.

One of the best dining experiences ever! From the regal interior to the impeccable service to the tantalising food, it's a full experience through and through. Highly recommend! Thank you owner for the wonderful hospitality 🥰
The food and atmosphere was great! The service was prompt. Definitely worth the visit if you have a reservation.
I'm knocking two stars off because we were snapped at by the Chinese waiter when we arrived slightly early before our reservation. Having some decorum goes a long way.
Cozy retro place. Crab toast is recommended.
Service is attentive and friendly
Very impressive. The clams and mussels were so good, we ordered two! The amberjack is also recommended. Cocktails are decent, and all at an approachable price!
Great experience overall! Enjoyed every dishes (photo did not do the justice) and cocktails were amazing. Super friend staffs especially Matt who served our table, he provides the best service. Devoured every single bit of Monkfish liver appetiser recommended by Matt. Love the vintagey ambience too
Heard pretty decent things about this place so we decided to check out their brunch. Tbh it really wasn’t much to shout about. We had the amberjack rosti, tamago french toast & po’boy.
The rosti was the highlight out of all the dishes we had. The amberjack was the star here and the roasted grapes added a nice touch to the dish. Can’t go wrong with burrata so not much to say there.
The french toast was a little too sweet for my liking and there were bits of crab shell in there that wasn’t really too pleasant. The po’boy wasn’t that great either and tbh you could probably get a better one from Bubba Gump. The side salads that accompanied both dishes were pretty basic as well.
We might have to come back and try their dinner menu. But If you’re looking for a great seafood-based joint for brunch, go check out Humpback a couple of streets over instead.
Opulent and intimate drawing room vibes, with good food and service. The star of the night was the sea bream with scales fried to perfection. A good option for fancier meals.
If you are, like me, dying to travel but yet to book a holiday, you can get away for an hour or two in Marcy’s. With the intimacy of a speakeasy and the luxury of a Venetian dining room, we allowed ourselves to be transported through several delightful seafood courses. Of particular note - the scallops with sea grapes, which sat plumply in a perfectly balanced sauce, and the rigatoni with octopus, as hearty a stew as a nonna would make.
Fantastic food. Killer playlist and decor.
Would recommend despite a moody staff member. Singapore's food scene in a nutshell. 😅
Marcy’s was fantastic.
Highlights are the red prawn aguachile, fatty tuna crudo, and the iberico pork chop. The red prawns were delightfully sweet, and the sauce was exactly like something you’d find in Mexico City. The quality of the fatty tuna was top notch, and the added sea grapes were a textural delight The pork chop was cooked to perfection, and with the (absolutely addicting) chipotle butter, this dish was a perfect finisher.
Loved the drinks and the vibes as well - you can’t go wrong here.
Service was exceptional! Brought my own baked goods to celebrate a friend’s birthday (which they allowed with purchase of just a desert from them - we got the Pecan Pie Sundae which was YUM) and they plated it very beautifully for us! Needless to say we were all really impressed!
Great atmosphere with lovely hospitable staff. Food was excellent as well, like the starters like the Brussels sprouts and scallops, and ending off with the delicious pecan pie dessert. Would definitely be back here again for special occasions.
Food was v special esp the amberjack and pecan pie sundae! Super friendly and polite staff, Service was excellent. My reservation noted briefly that it was a birthday celebration and staff brought a small cake automatically! Thanks for the memorable experience!
Definitely the best experience we've had so far. We came during the peak hour but were tended to very quickly and got our seats immediately. The staff was super friendly. The food was fast and awesome! We loved the octopus rigatoni. It was my husband's 30th birthday and everyone made sure to make him feel special ❤️ Thank you for all the wishes and for a great night! We will definitely come back again.
Rlly considerate and hospitable staff who were knowledgeable and eager to share abt the food was the highlight of the experience. We got a good seat w nice ambience even though we were late to our reservation, and the food service was paced rlly nicely. The pork chop and amberjack were super delicious, and there were so many dishes we were craving but were too full to eat. soliddd
1. Service was good. Staff were attentive and quick despite us being seated at the far-end. We never had to ask for refills or for the empty plates to be cleared.
2. Food was decent, nothing special. Presentation and plating was good. Would not hurt to increase the size of the portions by 10-15%. Beef tartare (not as good as other french/italian restaurants in the area), monkfish liver parfait (loved it very much), spicy clams (nice if you’re a fan of mala flavour), scallop crudo (scallops were good but the sauce had a slightly funky taste), crab rice (crab meat was decent. Rice had a slightly overpowering smoky flavour), hamachi collar (the fish was good and tasted fresh. Sauce did not match the fish).
3. Atmosphere was great. However, we were seated right at the back which was cramped and more dimly lit than the main area. We assumed that the table was assigned because the place was fully booked, but that wasn’t the case as there were a couple of empty tables from the time we arrived till we left.
What a delight!
Amberjack, Octopus Rig and Iberico Chops any day makes a good good dinner and this, a gem of a place.
One con was the pecan sundae - the whole bowl was strangely clumped together and inseparable like my neighbours Romeo and Juliet, and it was rock solid hard!! ... like my hidden abs. Is non-creamy ice(-cream) a thing now?
I shall return for the food, but will skip the dessert.
Seafood, starter and pasta dishes are on point. Service staff are super friendly and helpful!
The restaurant has a full atmosphere and is suitable for couples, families, and friends to dine together. The portions of the meals are small and the taste is heavy. If you want to be full, you will need 60 Canadian dollars per person.
The dinner was amazing and Matt really took care of us. The meal was prepared by Chef Ryan and every dish left us wanting for more
Matt's service was excellent 🎉 This meal was unforgettable for us.
This is quite a shop.
Although the inside of the restaurant is a little dark, the food and service are excellent. Very satisfied.
