Reviews of Masala Tandoor
Not the best food I have eaten but the quality was overall pretty good.
Roti was very hard and not like normal roti. The chilli baby corn we ordered was also decent but not as good as the ones that are served in other restraunts. The chilli paneer , fried rice were very tasty. There are lot of options for food much more than a lot of restraunts. The price for the food was also very affordable especially given the location. Overall everything was great.
Loved everything we ordered. We had a group of six(one vegetarian) and asked the owner what we should order. He helped us order various dishes and just the right portion. We had butter chicken, crispy veg with Manchurian sauce, fried potato, prawns and a fish dish. Especially love the sweet and spicy crispy veg. Would love to come back again when we’re in the area.
I recently dined at this restaurant with my family and had an exquisite experience. The variety of dishes, including the chilli chicken, chilli fish, malai kofta, butter chicken, cheese naan, garlic naan, ras malai, and gulab jamun, left my taste buds delighted.
Their service was exceptional, and the prices were surprisingly affordable.
Every bite was worth every cent spent, making it a must-try for anyone seeking a delightful culinary adventure.
The food is awesome, we had chicken & fish tikka, Prawn & buttered chicken, Chick peas & very flavoured naan. The restaurant decor is very simple more like a cafe. Don't drive, car park space is a challenge
Came for their opening weekend and was not disappointed!! 10/10 food, our favourite was the garlic naan and chicken 65. Flavour-packed food and good service, plus the place is super comfortable!
The food was so delicious! Good atmosphere. Very friendly! We felt very welcome!
Always happy to be here. 👍
😋
Amazing food and great service. It's my favorite Indian place to go to in Singapore. Trully a hidden gem.
What a find! We went there to celebrate my neither birthday and it didn't disappoint. Really good food and such reasonable prices. We ordered the Tandoori fish & malai chicken for starters.... and they were delicious! And had the prawn chilli masala, mutton mysore, dhal makhani, Palak paneer with Garlic naans for the main meal. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Will definitely go there again and try out the other things on the menu. 😉
The rasmalai desert was the only thing that could have been better. It was a bit watery, but tasted good.
Our go-to Indian food. Their new location is very nice and comfortable! Love their Butter Chicken, Cheese Naan, Chicken Tikka, and Chicken Lollipop! Highly recommended ❤️
Pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Naan was perfect, crisp on the outside and full of flavour. Was great even on its own without curry!
Palak paneer was outstanding with smoky flavours infused into the spinach and cheese.
The waitress was very kind to warn us the portions were big so we wouldn't over order and waste.
Because the food is freshly prepared, do expect to wait a little bit when it's crowded.
Will definitely return!
New location at 85 East Coast Road. Congrats on your very own restaurant. Looking forward to exploring your new menu.
My favourite place for naan and chicken Tikka. Glad they moved here instead of closing down after the marine parade shop closed
Good food and some unique dishes like the Lahori lamb chop and Shinwari chicken are not to be missed. The service though is an entirely different matter .... Be prepared for a long wait for your food and that is if you manage to catch the waiter and order ...
One of the most exemplary food joints in the entire nation when it comes to North Indian and Asian Fusion cuisine of the latter concoction. Taufiq, who is at the helm of the operations, is one stupendous individual who caters to your every gastronomical needs in more ways than one. Such exuberance coupled with a cosy ambiance accompanied with wondrous deco makes this place a definite one not to forgo in one's lifetime. Did I forget to mention that every item on the menu from the mouth watering naan to the palatable butter chicken is perfection personified? With such magnificence at Malasa Tandoor, it's akin to the world renowned Kohinoor diamond smack in the middle of Katong ☺️
It’s the best Indian food in the east. My husband and I come here weekly and for many years. Food is always so delightful. Family owned stall and fabulous gracious service always. Highly recommended
I have travelled a year in India and have been in Singapore for three years. I have had the best Indian food here ever ! We had 9 different dishes between 7 friends and all were amazing ! Rashid, I enjoyed your food in 81 before, but this is just fabulous. Good things come to good people. For sure I will come back when I am in Singapore in the future.
1)Shop at current address closed as shifted to 85 East Coast road #01-01,as Just now came on my way jogging walking for 80 minutes from hougang ,Unfortunately find the new address later after my lunch at local shop🥲
2)One of the best economical north indian food in Singapore like tekka market little india
Their samosa with raw mango chutney is best in Singapore
Naan and chicken tikka also very tasty
Very nice Indian shop along east coast road. I love their mixed veggies and butter chicken.
Went with a group of 3 close friends for dinner. It is conveniently located near I12 Katong shopping center. Definitely a plus point for people who work and live around there to enjoy and savour this standout restaurant that offers tasty North Indian foods that are of authentic flavors and consistent high food quality. Their extensive menu caters well to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
For starters, we ordered Chicken Tikka, lamb Sheek Kebab, Chilli Chicken, Chicken wings, Chilli prawns & Garlic naan. For main course, we ordered curry fish head and Basmati Rice Papadum. The starters were very flavorful, and are particularly noted for its perfect spice balance. The naans were soft and freshly baked which I would strongly recommend for garlic and naan lovers. Just the starters alone would make your day a fulfilling one. The mains of course were next to further enhance and sum up the entire dining experience. The curry fish head was the show stealer; the curry was not spicy and the combination of spices and ingredients brought out the authentic fragrance and taste of North Indian cuisine. Together with the soft and fragrant Basmati rice, it makes it more appetising. If my tummy is big enough for more storage, I would be more than happy to order more. I ended with a cup of hot Masala tea which was freshly prepared by the manager, Mr Taufik. That indeed aided with my digestion after that. Masala tea was also on point and I do not even need to add any sugar to it.
The restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for both casual dining and special occasions. Mr Taufik, Chef Mr Rashid and other staff were all very hospitable, and must be praised for their friendly and efficient service, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience. They also readily asked us if everything is good and are very open to any room for improvements if there are, so that they can constantly improve, continue to spread their success of authentic North Indian cuisines and satisfy any cravings.
Clean and comfortable environment with excellent value of food. Be sure not to miss this! Highly recommended to give it a try!
Had a great dinner today. New Indian place in the neighbourhood. We ordered
- Garlic Naan
- Lachha Paratha
- Prawn Garlic Pepper and Salt
- Chicken Jalfrezi (my favourite!)
Everything was perfectly seasoned and priced very affordable. Menu is quite extensive and would definitely be coming back
When Masala Tandoor moved out of their previous location at the Marine Parade coffeeshop, we were very sad as we love their briyani (best in SG for our tastebuds).
We finally discovered their new address after some search, and happy to learn they've transited into a restaurant! Congratulations!
Had the masala curry prawn, butter chicken, gobi manchurian and garlic naan. Dishes do not disappoint, still good! The butter chicken has a special taste thats different from other places, and even has a slight tinge of wok-hei. The garlic naan needs to strengthen its garlic flavour.
Will be back to support owners. They're authentic and hardworking, and of course to try their new range of dishes.
The food was lovely! Really enjoyed everything we ordered, especially their lemon coriander chicken soup. Would definitely be back again to try the rest of their menu.
We recently visited Masala Tandoor after walking past many times since their opening on East coast road. The food was absolutely exceptional. The mutton Do Pyaaza was so tender and fiery, whilst the chicken tikka masala was extremely smokey and flavourful. These dishes were some of the best we have eaten in Singapore. They do not serve alcohol in the restaurant but you can bring your own. Great food and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back.
Solid owner-ran indian food at reasonable prices! Best Chicken Tikka Bryani and butter chicken I've tasted in Singapore. Authentic homemade curries.
Wow wow wow! The fish nasi briyani and chicken tikka nasi briyani is one of the best i have tasted. The rice is super tasty with spices and is bursting with flavour. The curry sauce is perfect and goes well with the dishes. Their new restaurant at east coast road is cosy with great ambience and the husband and wife owners are so friendly warm and the hospitality there is top notch. Will definitely visit again. 😊
Very tasty and great value! I had the tikka chicken biryani, all for $7.
This family-run restaurant is a hidden gem in Katong (near the Red House) Everything that comes out of the kitchen will blow your mind, produced lovingly by Kashmiri chef Rashid. From the Bryani's to Mutton Mysore, from Grilled Paneer to Dal Makhani, even humble Raita is magic. You must order Naans to soak up every bit of sauce or dal because they don't skimp on ingredients here.
The pub crowd are drawn to less worthy resto's nearby where alcohol is served. A pity because they miss out on the swoon-worthy cuisine of Masala Tandoor.
This is really one of the better and more affordable place to go for roti, naan and North Indian food. The price is more than reasonable. The food is tasty. And the service is very very good. The owners son is very friendly and always recommends good stuff n let's you even try small portions.
Overall one of my favourite places for NI food.
Excellent food in a relaxing, old-school kopitiam. Amongst the best north Indian food I've had in Singapore and really great value for money. Very friendly owners too. Last time we had methi fish, bhindi dopiaza, tandoori chicken and garlic naan. Everything was delicious and the chicken very smokey and juicy.
Fairly reasonable price. Curry fish head was fresh. Overall, 4 stars rating
Great food with better environment since moving from MP . The friendly couple still churn out great Northern Indian Dishes
A good India restaurant in Katong - East cost road. Taste is good but portion size is small.
Best Indian food in Singapore! Will definitely come back again and highly recommend to everyone.
Best Indian food Ive ever had in Singapore. Chicken tikka and butter chicken masala along with fluffy and delicious garlic naan. Should be a Michelin star.
Delicious chicken tikka, tender and juicy inside and charcoal outside. Good naans in all flavors. Will have to try the other dishes next time.
Superb food - tried the methi fish, bhindi with spices, chicken tikka as well as the garlic and butter Naan and all were extremely flavourful and delicious. Prices were very reasonable too. Was definitely worth the trip from the North and we’ll be back again for sure!
Amazing food, my Christmas is complete! Prices very reasonable, 100% coming again and again and again!
They treat people very friendly. The food is really fresh and delicious! will come back again!nice food!

Excellent food from good people.
Foods are Not cheap here.
Good food.
Value for money
Absolutely excellent, a subtle cuisine with very well controlled flavors. I really enjoyed it. In addition, very attentive service. If like me you like spicy but not too much, you report it and the chef adapts. The quality of the products is remarkable. You can go there with your eyes closed.
Thanks again
Enjoy your food.....
