Reviews of Meat n' Chill • Steak n' Ribs Restaurant
Craving a meaty feast? Look no further than Meat n' Chill. This unassuming spot in Singapore offers a satisfying menu that will leave your taste buds craving more.
I recently chanced upon this place and tried their spam fries, steak with sauteed mushrooms and fries, and truffle mac and cheese. The spam fries were crispy on the outside, with a hint of saltiness that perfectly complemented the savoury spam. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with the sauteed mushrooms adding a rich, earthy flavour. And the truffle mac and cheese? It was a creamy, cheesy delight, with the subtle truffle aroma elevating the dish to new heights.
Meat n' Chill is a must-visit if you're a meat lover. Its delicious food, friendly service, and cosy atmosphere make it the perfect spot for a satisfying meal.
Ordered the steak with the original pork ribs. Steak was cooked well and the red wine sauce was a nice pairing. Absolutely loved the ribs and the sides too! Added on the mussels and the sauce is chef kisses
BBQ ribs portion is very generous. Overall we enjoyed the different BBQ flavors we ordered. Service was average on the day we visited. One of the waiters was coughing quite a lot but did not use the mask at all times. Hence feeling a bit unhygienic especially for the restaurant setting.
The restaurant is pretty old and run down.
For a great dining experience, look no further than Meatnchill. Their Soy Garlic Wings are a must-try, boasting a perfect blend of sweet and savory with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The Bro Bruce Quesadilla shines with smoky BBQ pork and melted cheddar, complemented by a tangy ranch dip. And the New York Strip steak is not to be missed—it's tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Meatnchill is indeed a chill spot for food lover
overall enjoyed the food here, we spent about $150 for 5pax (incl 2 drinks)
• [special mention] ribs were really good! meat came off the bone sooooo easily & we loved the flavour as well :)
• tomato soup & garlic bread were average
• beef cubes were not bad, we liked the sauce a lot
• salmon w fries & corn were ok - the salmon was too salty but the fries were well seasoned and crispy
• truffle mac n cheese was pretty standard also
Had a wonderful experience at Meat n' Chill with their wide range of dishes.
The Quesadilla dish was one that stood out for me with their tender pulled pork, melded perfectly with melted cheese sandwiched between toasted tortillas, that paired heavenly with their ranch dip.
I tried the ribs with Alabama White Sauce and the Fudgy Brownie. The ribs were really tender and fell off the bone easily. It was moist and cooked to perfection. The fries were also crispy! The buttered corn was pretty standard. However, the brownie was a bit dry and not as fudgy as expected. All in all, I recommend trying out their ribs!
Food was satisfactory and met our expectations.
We had their 500gsm New Yolk Strip with red wine and mushroom sauce. The sauces were exceptional! Also had their original fries and flaming beef spaghetti. Somehow their fries tasted nicer than normal fries.
We walk-in without reservation on a weekend. There were plenty of available seats. My friends and I sat at the booth area, it was a little stuffy. Thankfully the restaurant provides stand fan.
Visited Meat n' Chill on a Thu night. There was a slight crowd at around 7.30 pm.
My friend and I ordered the Angus ribeye, prawn aligo olio, lamb ribs, cheesecake, and soup of the day.
The portion for each main dish was huge, and I loved its aligo olio the most. The pasta was flavorful, and the prawns covered 1/3 of the dish!
The service was fantastic! The waiters and waitress were attentive. They will come to check on our dining experience now and then.
Overall, I enjoyed myself and will come back to try the rest of the dishes.
The original flavoured ribs were quite tender and fell off the bone and the New York strip steak (cooked medium) was juicy and cooked well, paired with a red wine that complemented the steak perfectly. Special mention to the truffle fries that were crispy and savoury. Worth for the price point.
Original ribs taste the best with tender and juicy meat. Old god mother ribs is less tender and the Texas beef back ribs is slightly tough. All fall off the bones though. The 250g Angus ribeye is good as well (truffle taste is strong!).
⭐️
Burgercraft: The 160g wagyu burgers are simply delicious. Made from the highest-grade Japanese A5 Tochigi Wagyu Strak and dry-aged Australian Angus Beef, juicy and flavourful! Special mention to Good O’ Classic burger and Smash Burger as they are the all time favourite!
Brunch: steak is cooked well and goes very well with the sauce. Scramble eggs are creamy and delicious! Ribs are very tender and taste wonderful with the sweet sauce. Tenderloin steak sandwich has a good mix of ingredients. Great brunch!
Had their grass-fed flat iron steak, together with 2 sides: fries and asparagus. Steak was thick and tasted very wholesome and satisfying. Liked echalote sauce more than red wine sauce. The fries were also super good!! crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. asparagus was surprisingly amazing also. Ended the meal with their homemade brownie which was so good I couldn’t stop eating
Very attentive service. Decent value. Ordered steak to be cooked medium but came out well done.
Tried making a reservation online but no reply, which i ended up calling. Anna was helpful with our reservation.
Upon arrival, we were seated but no one pointed out that menu was via QR code.
Ambience was comfy with booth seating available. Service is friendly.
Seafood platter was as described - Prawns, mussels and squid which were fresh and tasty. A more interesting sauce can be offered rather than a plain mayo.
Family platter was humongous tray which is good for 4 persons.
Tacos were excellent, minced beef was juicy. I suggest hitting this first before the others since it get soggy fast.
Angus beef was perfectly cooked to medium rare as requested. It was tender and flavorful. Superb! The sauce was a letdown as it was watery and tasteless. The beef was great by itself.
Braised chicken leg was tender but lacked in flavor.
Pork ribs were tender and could do with more sauce.
It would be nice to provide wet wipes or gloves since some of the food required hands.
A nice gesture of cheesecake with ice cream was complimentary for birthday.
Overall a pleasant experience which could be further enhanced with thoughtful details.
this place serves really amazing pork ribs. they were tender and easily came off the bone; the pork was not tough at all, and the flavours had unique tastes that stood out on their own! there was also a large variety of sides to choose from. the mashed potato and cheese fries stood out personally for me. we also tried the beef, which was ok but prok ribs was definitely the star for us. will be back to try more flavours!!
gentle reminder to reserve before visiting to avoid disappointment as the space is rather small and often packed with people 👌🏻
Meat and Chill is conveniently just a 5-minute walk away from Sixth Avenue MRT station. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including Bro Bruce Quesadillas, Soy Garlic Wings, and Signature Honey Mustard Ribs, all of which we ordered.
The Bro Bruce Quesadillas were tasty, Soy Garlic Wings were well-seasoned and had a nice crispiness to them. The Signature Honey Mustard Ribs were a standout dish paired with a delicious honey mustard glaze.
As for the sides, we opted for buttered corn and cornbread. The corn was sweet and buttery, while the cornbread was moist and had a nice crumbly texture with gravy.
The service at Meat and Chill was prompt and friendly, with the staff being attentive to our needs throughout our meal. The restaurant also had a cozy atmosphere with a rustic decor, making it a comfortable spot for a casual dinner.
Overall, our experience at Meat and Chill was enjoyable and the service was top-notch.
Laidback dining environment with very tender and well seasoned ribs! Good portion size and nice staff!
food was amazing, and extremely fast in their service, highly recommended. ambience was good except for a group being extremely loud during their meal
chilli fries was amazing and a highly recommended appetiser to start
Definitely a place worth trying! Firstly, it was convenient and easy to find being merely walking distance from Sixth Avenue MRT station. The ambience was great and staff were extremely friendly. What impressed me most was the food. I ordered the Signature Original Ribs which was tender and tasty. I would highly recommend this. At its 21 dollars price, you get an extremely generous portion of ribs and two sides! I also ordered the buffalo wings which had a nice crunchy bite, and spicy-sour sauce. The dessert is average, but overall an extemely pleasant experience and would definitely patronize again!
Small restaurant along bukit timah Road, cosy feel, great songs and of cause, the food quality is great too! Tried their pork ribs, tender and juicy..must try! Grilled chicken salad and buffalo wings were fantastic too...
Pretty nice place to chill. Like really chill also cuz the aircon very strong haha. Wont be here if not for company organised gathering. Anyways, beef main dishes here recommended. However, the beef cubes for appetizer is a bit tougher than expected but still decent. The Lotus Biscotti shake is not too sweet and just nice for me. Was looking forward to the desserts actually but quite disappointed. The waffles are hard and taste very floury. Brownies are big and chunky, not recommended to have with mains alone but good for sharing else will not be able to finish. Oh oh and for the sides, the chilli cheese fries is highly recommended, same if not better than Carl's Jr(yes there's minced beef in it!).
Visited this place with a friend because it was a 3-minute walk away from Sixth Avenue MRT, super convenient. Ordered 3 items - Hickory Signature Pork Ribs ($22), Steak ($19) and Spam Fries ($7). Really loved the ribs because they were sooo tender and fell off the bone easily! It was very flavourful and quite value for money as the ribs were large pieces. The steak was a little tough (in my opinion) but had good flavour and had a great sauce. We could choose 4 sides in total - really recommend the Truffle Fries (+$3) for its strong truffle and parmesan taste and also the portion, and recommend the Buttered Corn. We left the place super satisfied, which emphasises how value for money this place is. Ambience was nice on a weekday, great for catch-ups. Staff were friendly too :) Get the ribs if you ever visit, really no regrets. Will come again!
Went to Meat n' Chill with my partner for a date night, and it was lovely. Great service from the staffs there and the food taste great with generous portions!
We ordered the mac and cheese, angus ribeye, chilli cheese fries and soup of the day!
We got medium well steak, and it was done nicely with still a little pinkish meat in the middle. The meat and sauce was fragrant and tender.
And we love the chilli fries! And the portion is huge, really value for money. Will definitely return for more~
Meat n’ Chill serves great meat and good comfort food. Meat is cooked well, service is prompt and dessert was good. Excellent place to chill and its near a train station as well. One comment: Maybe they could invest in one more tablet for taking orders as we had to wait for another table to finish taking their orders before coming over to take ours.
I love the Garlic Sauce Buffalo Wings, the chicken is tender and juicy yet crispy on the outside.
It's my first time trying something like the Original Pork Ribs and the quality of the food is really commendable. The size of the serving is generous and would be great to order and share it with friends as I would definitely not be able to finish it on my own.
Overall, the ambience is amazing, would be a place I'd love to chill and hang out with my friends after work. The staff and service are great. She made an effort to explain and recommend which dishes are more suited to our tastes and was being very patient with us.
The food here was delicious! I'm usually rather picky when it comes to western food but the food here was so good without overdoing the flavours. The portions especially are very large and therefore very worth the price.
I ordered the Cubano Sandwich and Apple Cobbler and I do not say this lightly; it tasted divine!
Highly recommend the Bro Bruce Quesadilla as starter to share. Others like the baked mussels looks interesting but didn’t try. For mains, had the Angus ribeye and it was cooked to my perfection. A tad bit salty but the sauce that came with it was not too strong and it balances it out. Also had the Journey to the Yeast and I love it! Tender but maybe a bit cooked already. Looking at their selection of ribs, definitely be back again to try others. The pulled pork in the quesadillas were so good, I think I should order their Cubano sandwich next time too.
I tried the Mango Siracha Rib, a special release by Meat N Chill as it was their 7th birthday. The meat was seasoned perfectly and the meat fell off the bone smoothly and easily, will give it a 8/10. had a really full and hearty meal as the portions are big, alongside the side dish that we ordered ( fries and coleslaw). the staff are really helpful and friendly and even offered to ask if we wanted to change seat as we were sitting under the air condition. perfect place for a dinner getaway with old friends with the cosy and comfortable environment.
cosy place, food was good tried the honey mustard pork ribs and calamari. calamari batter could be more crispy but the squid itself was tender. pork ribs were tender and had good flavour! sides were quite standard (you can skip the mash potato).
overall a good experience with good service!
I ordered the Ribs and thoroughly enjoyed my meal as the meat was very tender and easily fell off the bone (no messy fingers!) The price was reasonable for a huge serving of the ribs as well as 2 side dishes. I also ordered the Bro Bruce Quesadilla which had a perfect ratio of meat to cheese and it was served with a delightful ranch sauce. Its close proximity to the MRT also made it really convenient to get to.
Highly recommmend the crispy skin grilled salmon. Loved that it was perfectly cooked to the right juicy texture. The sautéed mushrooms side dish was rich and flavorful too. The root beer float was also very good as it had a generous scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream.
The staff was also hospitable and polite. Great cosy place to unwind!
Friendly staff amd cozy atmosphere. I ordered the signature original ribs along with coleslaw and fries, the ribs sauce tasted slighty sour with a hint of alcohol although im not too sure what the sauce was, it was not too bad. Had the sweet oreo milkshake as well. Overall a nice experience if you want to have a meal with a friend!
Great cosy restaurant to hang out with friends, ordered the steak with some sides. Portions were generous although steak was a little dry. Sides were amazing, will definitely come back again for their ribs.
I tried the flat iron steak with mushroom sauce, with a side of truffle fries and butter corn. The steak was juicy and tender, and the truffle fries was very flavourful. We also had desert, the apple crumble and it was AMAZING! The crumble was sweet and crunchy, and it was topped off with ice cream. The atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Overall, definitely recommended!
Their buffalo wings are quite yummy and ribs were good. Chilli cheese fries was good too. It’s a casual American restaurant where prices are reasonable.
Best ribs I've ever had (honey mustard): the meat is soft and flavorful, and unlike so many places that rely on overpowering sauces this one did not need that at all. The Buffalo wings and steak were superb too but I still have to put this place down as primarily for the excellent ribs.
Plating is simple yet still nice, service is excellent from booking till leaving, overall I had a blast. Just note the 1.5-hr limit as well as the limited bookings - places this good and accessible are definitely crowded at peak hours.
Ordered the Honey Mustard Pork Ribs & Carribean Pork Ribs. Ribs were really meaty, juicy and fall-off the bone tender! Personally preferred the Honey Mustard marinade as the sweet and savoury taste was perfectly balanced. Ordered a side of straight-cut fries, coleslaw and buttered corn. The fries are probably the BEST i’ve eaten - super crisp and well-seasoned, didn’t get soggy even at the end of the meal. The portion of the ribs was A LOT especially for two pax - would suggest getting a portion of ribs and something else from the menu to share.
The ribs we had were really well done, the meat tender and falling easily off the bone, tasty and a delight to eat. I also enjoyed the pulled pork quesadillas that were served with a sauce that set off the flavour of the meaty wonderfully. It was a rather porky evening, when I think about our food choices, but I have no regrets. 😁
I ordered the Grass Fed Ribeye which was divinely flavourful, and I upgraded my side dish to truffle fries for just SG$3. We also had the Shira XO Beef Ribs was very lovely. The meal was paired with the cozy and charming atmosphere of the restaurant. Very much enjoyed my experience here at Meat n' Chill!
Had some steak and fries here. Lovely atmosphere as well as tasty sides. Steak was of great consistency. Enjoyed my experience!
I went to this restaurant with my friends after school to relax. Luckily the restaurant is close to the train station and if you don't like the train there are plenty of buses going there. The restaurant was not dirty and the service was very good. We ordered the ribs but I didn't like them very much. I would recommend the fries or the pasta.
It’s delicious~^^ I want to come again next time
Had an excellent experience ordering delivery from Meat n’ Chill for Christmas dinner this year. Replies were prompt and they were attentive to my questions. The delivery was on time as well. The food came well packaged and it was so delicious! Will definitely be ordering or dining there again!
