It's a beautiful place to have a meal. We ordered the Barramundi fillet, Seabass ceviche and Tarte Flambée. We also had the Açaì bowl for dessert. Will definitely return to try other dishes!

We had the Angus Beef Rib Eye, Truffle & Mushroom Mafaldine Pasta and Crepe with Citron Butter and Vanilla Ice Cream. We liked the pasta and crepe but the beef was underwhelming. We had better ones. The atmosphere is pretty nice. The service was good, thanks to Mas and Jecaine. It was a nice touch for the birthday candle. Overall, we would still give it another visit, probably to try out other dishes besides the beef.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this cafe as it offers a vibrant, laid-back atmosphere that combines tropical charm with French chic. The space is filled with greenery, natural wood accents, and plenty of natural light through large windows, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. With its rustic decor, cosy and spacious seating, the cafe provides a relaxed vibe that makes it ideal for a casual brunch or a leisurely afternoon. We tried the Caesar salad, mushroom truffle pasta, and truffle sweet potato fries. I was pleasantly surprised by how filling the salad was, thanks to the generous portions of chicken and ham, which made it a complete meal. I’d definitely return to this outlet! Note: Best to park at i12 katong and walk over!

Really fantastic quality of food, good service and great ambiance. Music choice is not something I usually notice, but here it seemed really well thought out, varied with a variety of genres that seemed to fit the chilled cafe vibe. Eggs Benedict was absolutely fantastic with crispy and wafer-thin prosciutto type bacon. I enjoyed every bite. Coffee was good and strong. Light and airy vibe with variety of locals and internationals.

While the food is good, the service was very inconsistent: The beverages and my husband's dish came out pretty quick, but my dish came almost an hour after, so my husband was already done with his food by the time I started. The servers weren't even apologetic about it, just saying "It's coming" when we asked... If you are ok with the wait, do try the food, as it is very good, especially the brunch dishes. I would recommend visiting other locations, such as Tiong Bahru, where the service is better.

The food definitely lived up to the Merci Marcel standards. We ordered the scrambled eggs, ravioles de Royan, and a cappuccino. The eggs and coffee were great, and the pasta was amazing, though it did get a bit too cheesy for my taste. This dish would be better shared as it can be overwhelming for one person to finish. The vibe was on point. However, it was very busy since we went on a Saturday morning, making it hard to get the staff's attention. Overall, I would give it an 8.5/10

Had a very nice lunch here on a weekday. Ordered Barramundi fillet with ratatouille. The fish skin is very crispy and the fish is well cooked, just lack a bit of seasoning. The fish goes very well with ratatouille. Hope they can add also zucchini and eggplants into the ratatouille. The staff are friendly and nice. They even offered some flatbread to go with the ratatouille. The ambiance is chill and relaxing.

Food was incredible. We had one cheese with the cured Bayonne pork ham platter to start. Bread and butter was great. The Ravioles de Royans is unlike a regular Italian ravioli - each pasta is small and the cheese isn't overwhelming, so it was very welcoming. My wife and I also shared an Angus beef Ribeye, which came as slices and was delicious. Service by Nicole was great as well, frequent check-ins with suggestions helped. (i.e. she asked if we wanted to take away our starters so that we would have tummy space for our mains). Will come back when in the mood for fancier cuisine.

Food was not impressive. We ordered the beef flank and pork tenderloin but they were both dry and tough. Fried Camembert was alright but I’ve hard better. The homemade fries were decent, perhaps due to the dressing. In all honestly, food could’ve been much better. My companion was disappointed as the place looks really nice and it would be a great hangout place as the outdoor area is pet friendly. Staff were attentive and offered our dog a water bowl and seat cushion even without us asking. However, service was slow and missed out a couple of things - these were pointed out to them and they immediately rendered service recovery (kudos to the lady as well, thank you). Wine list was extensive though, and even the lower priced ones were decent. Would be back for happy hour I guess, but not for the food.

This Merci Marcel branch is a gem! It's spacious and has a warm, inviting atmosphere – perfect for catching up with friends or a casual family outing. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, especially towards my baby. They brought him a high chair right away. I had my usual iced matcha latte (sweet, always delicious!) and their decadent ravioli is simply divine. We'll definitely be back soon.

We had the pleasure of being served by the forever youthful Nicole. She is very friendly and making our dinner experience delightful. The food was awesome and we ordered a tad too much. The Salmon Tartare is a refreshing dish. We also ordered half a dozen of fresh oysters, fried Camembert, Arancini and Chicken tempura. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening!

Probably one of my new favourite cafes right now! The vibes and atmosphere are amazing, food is excellent with high quality fresh ingredients, and their playlist is 1000/10! The sound system is commendable, with light and easy jazz in the background without being drowned by the sounds of conversations. It’s not noisy at all, creating a peaceful environment perfect for conversations. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, service is always top-notch! Not to mention the food, which was so delicious! I love that they have breakfast, daytime, afternoon break, dinner & weekend brunch menus, and they are open pretty much all day everyday, from 8:00-00:00 on Tues - Sat, 8:00-23:00 on Sun - Mon. What I’ve tried over several visits! 🤍 Homemade Fries (10/10) Homemade, tasty and delicious!! I loved this so much and everyone finished it so quickly. Definitely a must try at Merci Marcel! 🤍 Caesar Salad (10/10) One of the best salads I’ve had! Loved every bit of it. The ingredients were oh so fresh. 🤍 Marcel’s Waffle Iron Style Croiffle (10/10) Croissant waffle topped with caramelised banana (yum!), caramel & vanilla ice cream. This was heavenly! Highly recommend trying. The croiffle was buttery, slightly chewy and soo good~!! I fell in love 🥹❤️👍 i’ve ordered this twice so far! 🤍 Watermelon Juice So fresh and refreshing! Love that I can still taste some meat from the watermelons! If you’re in a group, you can also order it in a jar! 🤍 Seabass Ceviche (9/10) Tangy, sweet, sour, salty~ A mix of everything but it’s so delicious! The seabass is raw and served in small chunks, really enjoyable even though I don’t typically enjoy raw meats. 🤍 Tarte Flambée 1 (10/10) SO GOOD!!!!! Crispy pizza crust with apples, asparagus, blue cheese, organic ham 🥹 Highly recommend this, I really enjoyed all the vegetables, and the sweet and savoury flavour profile. Light and easy to share~ 🤍 Açai (11/10) Might have been the best açai I’ve had recently! The açai was delicious with generous servings of crunchy granola, coconut flakes, and lots of fruits! They definitely made an effort to doll up the space here at East Coast, to be consistent with the other Merci Marcel outlets around the island. Vibes are similar, from the moment you walk past to the point you enter and enjoy your food. The brunch and lunch menu is not super extensive, but it's sufficient for what you need. Some egg options, some bread options, and some pasta mains. Overall not bad, but not mind-blowing stand out. Had the poached eggs and the beef burger, and they were enjoyable. Good place for dates or gathering with friends, especially if you're meeting around the Katong / East Coast area.

Whether it's the food or service, this place deserves more than 5 stars! We were immediately seated down by the manager, Yumi, and her service was amazing. Since it was our first time here, she recommended the food to us and it all tasted amazing. The staff here are all attentive too and clears our plates fast, and our food did not take too long to be served. Everything was served well and ready to eat, the mains, starters and dessert was all delicious and left us wanting more. Big thanks to Yumi, she kept the place lively for us and made our dining experience a memorable one.

Been wanting to visit since it opened and we finally did for Saturday brunch. And it was a fantastic experience! We met the French owner who seated us and provided menus, then later returned to chat. The food was tasty and substantial. The coffees, really good. I had the club sandwich made with salmon, avocado and egg, while my husband enjoyed the croque marcel very much. Both came with a small green salad. Yes, we'll definitely return, probably for dinner to explore that menu and their wines which are all imported directly from France.

I brought my boys to Merci Marcel East Coast on my own recently. Throughout our breakfast, I was just so grateful for the service from your staff. As a mum, I appreciate and value the thoughtfulness of your staff even more than the food. But yes, the food was good too. Thank you to Joe who made sure we’re comfortable in our seats. Thank you to Nicole who made sure my order was right, and thank you to Darren who was not serving us but walked past our table and interacted with my one-year-old. Oh yes, I also like that I can pay via QR code anytime cause by the end of breakfast, the kids are tired and paying earlier really helps!

Food is really always very nice but this time very disappointed with the "non customer oriented " staff. We ordered a bottle of red wine from the menu. After a while the waitress (supposed to be a manager) told us the selected wine is not available so she suggested another wine. I said OK then but same price as the one we ordered. This is usually what should be done. Unfortunately there was just a NO. No discussion, no gesture... a bit disappointing. Anyway we will still continue patronising Merci Marcel

Lovely atmosphere and a great Euro French playlist. Nicole took great care of us. It feels like a slice of fantasy France right here in beautiful Singapore. Perfect for brunch, relaxed business meetings, and intimate dinners. It has a relaxing, playful, and stylish ambiance. It exudes French sophistication without the typical headaches. Our first time here well exceeded our experiences at another Merci Marcel branch. Their one-night-only (July 11) 4-course dinner special featured excellent pairings with rare Bordeaux wines at a romance-friendly price of $129++ per person! The tangy red thread running through the entre (raw trout with beetroot carpaccio) and main (roast duck on a crisp rosti bed with red cabbage) tied neatly with their accompanying wine selections. But the piece de resistance for me was the coupling of 3 unusual farm-cheeses with an exquisite Marguax 2016 -- a dessert platter that could/should have just ended there with finesse, since the final "deconstructed lemon meringue pie" was altogether too sweet for us, as most meringues are anyway. Thankfully, this was saved by a wonderful chocolate birthday cake (wordings, candle and all) arriving courtesy of Chef Kelvin, who had taken time out earlier to chat briefly with us and few other guests! Overall a personalised dining experience made even more memorable with their on-point service staff, friendly manager (and sommelier?) Yumi, and of course, Chef Kelvin (kudos to him for remembering my partner's name on the cake) -- all of whom seemed genuinely happy working through the restaurant's busy hours even at closing time.
