Reviews of Miss Saigon Singapore - Orchard Plaza
We got the Roasted Pork Banh Mi ($9.90) and Salt Baked Roast Chicken Banh Mi ($8.90) and they were both HEFTY!! Tons of ingredients and the baguette was wonderful
The Fresh Spring Rolls ($8.90) were pretty standard but prawns were fresh!
Only thing is that the space is really small, and you won’t be getting the best service. Still worth visiting for the food because it’s worth it for the price
100% HIDDEN GEM! Mmmmmmm I haven’t been to this mall for ages and I found this amazing Bánh mì !!!
I ordered their Banh Mi Thit (Dac Biet) Select 1 - Special Great Banh Mi !!! Mmmmmm super shiok! Really a must try ! along with their Vietnamese coffee !!! Woooooooo soooooo good and strong 😇
And my wifey ordered Banh My Chao with Bread (Mixed Beef, Sardine, Eggs) 🍳😊 taste great too. Wow I will be back for more.
Sadly not enough sitting area. They have a small corner of high table seats - can fit around 7-8 persons.
Finally tried this 24/7 Vietnamese shop everyone's been talking about. ..tbh Location wise is dodgy 😆 the space of restaurant is TINY. DO NOT come here with big group. Perfect for 2-3 pax kinda hang
1. Grilled BBQ pork banhmi $8.9
- BIGGEST baguette I've ever banhmi I've been served in my life. I don't think they'll cut in half for you but it's good to share for tiny eaters. Pork was sooooooooooo generous and baguette was hot and crispy.value for money though a bit salty for me in general
2. Grilled pork noodles $9.90
- I believe this is pho or some sort and everything was delicioussssssssssssssssss. The nuts, flavor, noodles were hot. Very filling
3. Iced red milk tea $3.9
- Nice but TOO FREAKING SWEET
4. Sweet potato fries $5
- not your usual type of fries.its like a tteokbokki but sweet potato but fried. It was generous and hot. We got tiring eventually of chewing lol and couldn't finish it. MUST be eaten hot as soon as served, do not keep it cold it doesn't taste good
Overall..if I'm nearby and craving, I would eat it
Great find in the city centre! Banh Mi tasted great and filling is a lot! Likes the coffee too. A crew is really polite but not so for a lady that can speaks Chinese.
It was really really small. 6 cramped barstool style seats. Aircon hardly intruding from the corridor. The Ban Minh super generous roast port, crispy baguette taste average. About $10 Good value not cheap. Pho at $12 decent too. Drinks $4.50 each. If only more space and more comfortable would be above average experience. But still acceptable and worth coming back. But since so small expect not to find seats.
Had both the grilled bbq pork and roasted pork Bahn mi. Lotsa meat, which made it really value for money. Limited seating.
Husband had the beef Bahn mi and beef pho but prefers the grilled bbq pork bahn mi instead. The grilled bbq pork in the bahn mi is more like a grilled pork patty or sausage.
best viet food i’ve had in singapore! taste is authentic, just like how you would have it in vietnam. so expect the coffee to be sweet, and taste to be very flavourful. 10/10 would be coming back again
HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My 3rd time trying a Banh Mi and i must say this Grilled BBQ Pork has TOPPED my list and will likely stay there forever!?!? Life changing banh mi at really affordable price.
The first bite was SOOOO CRISPY it almost sounded like potato chips! The filling is very well seasoned + generous. It took me about 25mins to savour through the goodie.
However seating area only has 3 tables of 2pax, i had to queue and wait for people dining in watching videos on their phones-.- Gave them a stare from the main entrance so they would stop watching video.
Banh Mi - Vietnamese Baguette
I'm not sure if I've eaten any Banh Mi before but wow this is superb! Just look at the amount of meat in the baguette, had to split it into 2 and eat it again 😅
It was flavorful and full of umami, got 2 different flavors of 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 and 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 both were equally delicious but if I were to really pick one it would be the grilled meat pork and I'm someone who doesn't really fancy a log of meat like that but I'm sold.
✨Banh Mi Heo Quay - Roasted Pork $9
✨Banh Mi Nem Nuong - Grilled Meat Pork Rolls $9
Both ham & pate and the roast pork are packed with meat, sauce and butter. Also generous with coriander and cucumber. Bread toasted and chewy.
Extra bird's eye chilli on the side available.
Ham banh mi preferred but both are good enough here to try.
Every visit to the town, we must buy this back! Have been repeatedly visiting and buying their banh mi. I lost count. Tried their grilled pork, pork dumplings, beef piper lolot and roasted pork. They all taste so good. They are very generous with the ingredients too..
The bahn mi was really good, a lot of meat inside and the bread was toasted on the outside, soft on the inside.
But the seating area is a bit squeeze so I recommend takeaways or coming alone or in pairs.
Tastes really good! But the grilled pork was sold out at 11am… they seem to have a lot of orders via delivery service
Good find here at the heart of orchard. Banh Mi could be one of the best I have tasted in Singapore. Pho has great tasting soup but lacking in the herb and lime and the beef slice was tough.
Baguette was so crispy and paired really well with the salty charred and juicy roasted pork! Will be back to try more
This small joint is a heaven for banh mi lovers! First look at the banh mi had me going HOLY-MOLLY at the sheer size and how stuffed the buns were. I had the bbq pork and it was juicy and tenderrrrr and I love the aromatic veggie and pate at the bottom. The buns are so crispy and crunchy. Man oh man, so happy I discovered this place!
Ordered:
- Roast Pork Bahnmi, $9.90
- Fried Spring Rolls, $9.90
- 2x Ice Vietnamese Milk Coffee, $4.50 each
Roast pork bahnmi was shiok. No pork smell, crunchy skin. I asked for an extra egg but I think he forgot to add it. Told him and got a refund for the egg.
Fried spring rolls are good, but not as big as the Ang Mo Kio branch (Bahnmi Saigon). I expected 3 fat spring rolls but got 5 small ones. 5 small spring rolls for $9.90 feel more expensive then if they served the 3 fat ones. Taste wise, they tasted just as good 👍
Ice vietnamese milk coffee never disappoints. Strong, milky, sweet but not too sweet.
Best banh mi I’ve eaten. Tastes a tier above the rest of the banh mis i’ve tried in sg. very generous portion of meat and pickled veggies, cucumber, cilantro(u can opt out if u dont want), with pate spread on the crispy bread. Slightly prefer the signature to the bbq pork but both are good
downsides:
- Place is quite hot and stuffy, limited seating
- not sure why they want to artificially inflate their google rating with fake reviews
Great value for money. Authentic. Bread is crispy yet soft and very significant filling. Will be back.
Having had some of the best bahn mi in Hoi an, this bahn mi definitely can rival them.
Ordered the grilled bbq pork bahn mi. The portion was huge and the amount of sauce is just right. Not too watery.
Would have given 5 stars if not for the dining space constraint.
Tiny place but good vibes. Banh mi was really good - the bread had a great bite and all the fillings were flavourful. We got the beef special (beef wrapped in a leaf of sorts) and the bbq pork, both were good. The ice lemon tea had a nice kick to it and helped wash everything down.
Definitely one of the few places that are so generous with their toppings for bahn mi! It’s also a short walk from somerset mrt, definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. Got the best seller - mixed ham bahn mi!
Dropped by at a recommendation of my friend. This is a sister outlet of the Saigon Banh Mi in AMK.
We bought the signature and grilled pork Banh Mi for sharing, and also the yellow rice roll. Food was tasty, and coffee was good!
Definitely will be back to try the other Banh Mis.
The place is rather small, so best to take out or dine in solo.
Place is quite cramped with little seating but food is fresh and delicious.
Traditional Bahn mi #1 is great as always. The beef pho broth was great along with the noodles. Beef was tough. Fresh spring rolls were a bit disappointing as the rice paper skin was dry, thick, and chewy.
Would recommend the Bahn mi and instant noodles!
Came at 11am and was empty but more people came later on, staff was very friendly and we ordered oolong milk tea, lemon tea, bread 3 and 12 🥪 food was very good and packed with alot of veggies and meatball was very yummy 😋 drinks were good as well (milk tea on the sweeter side and lemon tea was nice too)
High tables and stools were used and limited seated area, do recommend giving them a try and go to level 2 orchard plaza to find them 🫠 bill came to a total of 25+, really very filling and bread was much softer (than banh mi saigon imo) but still crispy 👍 would consider coming back to try the other items as they have alot of other Vietnamese dishes 🤩
came here after gym at 12am and had the best bahn mi of my life. Cozy shop with the best bahn mi and great viet edm music!
Good banh mi in the Orchard area. Tiny place with seating for maybe 3-4 so takeaway is a better option
Generous fillings, warm bun nice flavour. I would go again to try other flavours. Got the grilled pork bahn Mi for $8.90 and it was like a grilled pork sausage, sweet and savoury. First time have it that way but I liked it. Location is very central. Mall is old but intriguing.
Went there several times, taste so good! Try the roasted pork and the intestine and ear ones!
Authentic banh mi and milk tea. Similar to what you can get in vietnam
Solid Vietnamese food option in town, approx a 5-10 minute walk straight out of Somerset too! Had the Banh mi (roast pork!) and the broken rice (not on the menu, but you just have to ask for it!) was tasty and affordable. Loved that they were accommodating about the sweetness of the viet milk coffee (requested for less sweet). Not much seating area though—best for a takeaway situation. Loved everything about the food though!
Authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi. We tried both the BBQ pork and the crispy pork Banh Mi and both very good. Personally preferred the crispy pork. Each Sandwich was < $10. The bread is well toasted - has that nice crunch and crumble without being too crumbly.
On top of that we tried the fresh sprint rolls and they give you 3 sizable rolls for < $10. It is fresh and the sauce adds the right touch of sour sweet spice to the dish that makes it a crowd pleaser.
The best part is this place is open 24-hours. Good fix for a midnight snack if you're on orchard.
Nice juicy and tasty banh mi. Too large for me to finish.
I recently visited Bahn Mi Saigon Orchard, and it was an absolute delight! The bahn mi sandwiches were bursting with flavor, thanks to the perfect combination of fresh ingredients and traditional Vietnamese spices. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the fillings were generously portioned and packed with delicious grilled meats, vibrant herbs, pickled vegetables, and zesty sauces. The quality of ingredients was evident in every bite, and the service was friendly and attentive. Bahn Mi Saigon Orchard is a must-visit for Vietnamese cuisine lovers in Orchard!
The Banh Mi wasn’t good. The bread has a flavour in jt and the flavour wasn’t balance. Don’t know why they got such a high rating on Google and everyone is recommending it. The place is super cramp and messy. Can’t get in properly.
The overflowing reviews here are kind of hit and miss because this place is nowhere as cheap or good as it's being promoted to be.
Ordered fresh spring roll and I got a pre-made one where the rice paper was already hardened and very hard to chew. And it was expensive for what it is. Should've just gone to another place.
Everytime I come here and order a roast pork bahn mi I’m always shocked by how much meat you get on the sandwich for under $10, and how I’m able to finish that huge sandwich. Always a pleasure to eat here!
Great Banh Mi at affordable prices. Good portion sizes so you wont feel too full nor too hungry. Every bite is a flavor bomb.
Delicious food with many options for customers to choose, friendly staffs and owner, good service provided. Highly recommend to anyone want to try Vietnamese cuisine
Yummy authentic Vietnamese food! Will revisit again :) very friendly staff as well.
Love the Bhan mi here
Very delicious Vietnamese bread, with a lot of meat, the bread is very crispy and delicious, it is worth eating, but the chili is very spicy, so be careful and practical
Supporting Vietnamese bread in Singapore is very delicious
The bread is very delicious
The bread is very delicious...🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Second visit to Miss Saigon, and it somehow got even better at the Orchard outlet. The Banh Mi was an absolute winner – packed with fresh, vibrant flavors. I might explore other meat options next time, but the overall experience was amazing.
Tried their Banh Chuoi? (Goreng Pisang to me) for the first time, and wow – it reminded me of Taiwanese sweet potato balls, with a gooey banana center. A little more than more on the oily side, but still super indulgent and worth a try.
