Reviews of Myung Ga II Tanjong Pagar
🐷 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐦 - $43
I have always avoided steamed pork belly of any kind because the fats are usually quite hard and gelatinous. BUTTTT THIS WAS BOMB!! Every single piece here was extremely tender and we had a hard time keeping the pieces intact 👀
🐖 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐮 - $21
If you love fried pork cutlet, you gotta try this Korean version that comes with a sweet and savoury sauce! Definitely different from the ones you see at Western and Japanese stores. Also love the little bit of purple rice they gave, went so well with the other soups we had too
🌶️ 𝐇𝐚𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐥 𝐉𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐠 - $21
This was spicy for me, but still very satisfying. Noodles were springy, and there were so many seafood in this! Portion is quite huge though, so definitely worth the $$
🦑 𝐇𝐚𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐮 𝐉𝐞𝐨𝐧 - $22
Had this previously, and we loved how crispy the exterior of the pancake was. As usual, they were generous with the ingredients too.
🧀 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐤𝐛𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐢 - $20
I usually don’t enjoy tteokbokki because of the sauce, the flavour just doesn’t sit right with me. However, I loved this so much that I kept going back for more. Slightly spicy, but the cheese helped.
🍚 𝐊𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐩 (𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐩/𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐚) - $12/$13
Generous fillings, well cooked rice, what more can you ask for in a kimbap?? I personally preferred the spam version for a cleaner taste
We’ve actually visited the OG outlet at Bukit Timah Plaza, and we’ve gotta say that this new outlet is way prettier and better organised than the other, so we’d definitely be returning to this one!
food was so yummy & prices are rly affordable too, with each dish that we ordered at less than $20! especially loved the cheese teobokki and the kimchi pork soup 😍 so flavourful yet not too salty 😋
their kimbap is also very fresh, highly recommend! indeed a gem in tanjong pagar restaurant stretch 🤩 great service & ambience too 😌
Been there twice as we like the food, and the portions are huge. The seafood pancake (not pictured) was really delicious - crispy and full of ingredients. We also enjoyed the tofu stew and the kimchi fried rice, while the fried chicken was not bad. The kimbap (beef too sweet) and ramen (beef too hard and soup not the tastiest) were average though. During our second visit for a late dinner, they gave us a free sidedish of kimbap and free yakult so that was a really nice touch. Overall great value for money👍
One of my favorite korean restaurants in SG! I had the most wonderful experience. The owner treated us warmly and was so kind to give us complementary kimbab rolls and canned drinks. The food was absolutely delicious, comforting and generous! I really enjoyed their banchan as well, I even asked for a refill many times. I have visited 5 times and the service and quality are so consistent. Also, I noticed a lot of Korean customers dining as well so I trust the taste is authentic. I think their prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size (note there is no GST).
I highly recommend the following dishes:
1. Bossam (best I ever had, soft and juicy)
2. Yukgaejang (so rich, the best soup here)
3. Seafood Pancake (crispy, really really tasty)
4. Donkatsu (unique and crispy)
5. Soy Garlic Chicken (i dare say best korean fried chicken in SG)
6. Tuna Mayo Kimbab / Spam Kimbab
7. Cheese Tteokbokki
8. Doenjang Jjigae
9. Kimchi Pancake
Overall, the food at this Korean restaurant is absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We had no complaints whatsoever. We especially appreciate how the dishes closely resemble the flavors we experienced in Korea. Highly recommend trying the seafood pancake—it's a standout!
The atmosphere is simple and comfortable, nothing too fancy, but very welcoming. The selection of Korean music playing adds a nice touch to the dining experience.
A great place for a genuine Korean meal!
The food here were delicious, and the service staff here were friendly despite working so hard to meet the needs of everyone.
The seafood pancake is definitely a must order, as it was the right level of batter control with a good ratio balance between umami & natural seafood sweetness.
Their Kimchi stew also impressed me as it was highly hearty, you can really sense the chef's sincerity behind every sip of the stew.
Overall highly recommended to come - but do come slightly earlier to avoid their peak hour crowd. Consider this to be a friendly advise hehe ☺️
Ordered their lunch deluxe set meal for 2 pax at $69.90. The food was very authentic & delicious. We were served with 5 types of refillable Banchan, and the portion for the lunch set was really generous. I personally felt that the set can easily feed 3 pax.
The Korean donkatsu was huge and yummy, definitely must try!
We also ordered the Korean fried chicken because we were craving for it.
Overall we had a very nice lunch here.
Lady boss Victoria is very very hospitable and the food is super duper yummy! She even served me with kimbaps after I shared with her that it is my birthday! Super thankful for the exemplary service and delicious food!
Will definitely be back again! Thank you once again ((:
Fantastic service from the Korean lady boss (?), everyone here is super friendly and great! The food came fast and well and everything feels authentic, though a tad bit on the oily side for the kimichi pancake. Love the refillable side dishes and the complimentary items that the staff kept giving us (like soda drinks, prawn crackers and even the small kimbab and yakult)
We tried their fried chicken spicy and though they stated mild, it was actually really spicy for us! But everything else was good and delicious and very much enjoyable
All the portion is great and worth the price!
Best if you can get a reservation early as it gets super crowded at dinner time.
💭𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍:

delicious and affordable korean food! love the kimbaps and seafood pancake! v hospitable as well with the free kimbap! will be back ☺️☺️
The food here is soooo good as always😍 Even though it was busy and there was a queue, the sajangnim was really kind and attentive, making sure we were taken care of. She even gave us some gimbap to enjoy while we waited, which was such a nice touch:)
The portions are HUGE, and everything tastes really authentic. My favs are the crispy seafood pancake and donkatsu!😋 Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving good Korean food!
The popular Korean restaurant Myng Ga II at Bukit Timah Plaza opened a second outlet at Tanjong Pagar last year. The whole gamut of Korean culinary classics we tried was unimaginably delicious.
𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝘆𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗷𝗶𝗺 (Cheese Steamed Egg): super fluffy with a good amount of cheese, this was a crowd pleaser.
𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗮𝗲 𝗝𝗷𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗲 (Army Stew): The humongous pot, with lots of spam, tofu, sausages, sliced pork and enoki mushrooms bubbling in a savoury broth, was exceptional.
𝗠𝘂𝗹-𝗡𝗮𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗺𝘆𝗲𝗼𝗻 (Cold Noodles): very refreshing, whetting our appetites for the forthcoming dishes.
𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗸𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂 (Pork Cutlet): this gigantic piece of porcine, fried to perfection, which was served with rice and a salad, was highly enjoyable.
𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗽: a marvellous medley that delighted our tastebuds.
𝗛𝗮𝗲𝗺𝘂𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗵𝘂 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝗻 (Seafood Pancake): this crispy pancake filled with shrimps and squid garnered unanimous approval.
𝗦𝗼𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻: the marination and execution were immaculate, so these turned out to be insanely irresistible.
Portions were MASSIVE….. my friend and I couldn’t finish a single dish we ordered (1 main each and a pancake to share). Great service as well! Seafood pancake was really good, jjampong was super flavourful and packed with ingredients. Would return again (and order lesser this time 😅)
this was such a yummy korean meal!! appreciate the big portions for a reasonable price:) will defo be back for the seafood jeon and jjamppong. owner was rly nice to give us a complimentary dish of kimbap too
Had dinner with very old friends and had a bomb! Ordered the fried chicken (soy glazed), kimchi jeon, doenjang seafood soup and hot plate pork/squid, they were all great! Very generous with the banchan and we had lots of freebies (the rolled eggs and yakult as well).
Thank you for having us! Highly recommended if you are around the area.
Great, friendly staff! The seafood pancake is a must-try—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I really enjoyed my experience here and can’t wait to try more items on the menu!
The portions are huge, and every dish tastes authentic! We got the bunsik set with tteokbokki, seafood pancake, seafood jjamppong - all tasted great & the staff is very attentive, refilling our side dishes promptly. I'll come back whenever I have cravings :)
I saw the review and was wondering if it is really that good and WOW! The lady boss is so friendly and that is what service should be like. The food was nice, the atmosphere was relaxing so what else can we ask for?
We had the spicy fish roe stew, cold noodle and soy chicken. Thanks for the free kimbap!
Yummy korean food! The Gimbaps were packed with flavours and nicely sliced per serving. The Kimchi Pancake was crispy. Kong Jjajang was full of flavour with bits of meat. They were very generous with the servings so we’d surely recommend it for groups and sharing! Service was excellent as well - they gave us extra roll of gimbap and a little bottle of Coyo Coyo drink for each of us. 💯 no bribes nor request for this review, their really service got us 👌🏼
All dishes are super delicious and come with huge portion, while price is reasonable. Service is also great. They also provide yughurt drink at the end for free!!
Great food, well priced and authentic! Only thing you should come early to get seats or make reservations. 🔥🔥🔥
Very good and well priced. Fried chicken was ok only not the best I’ve had. Otherwise, big portions and there’s no gst or rather it’s included in the prices which is great.
The food there is really really good and aiuthentic!!! Love the mandu and the pancake . The gimbap is super good
The food and service at “ Myung Ga II Tanjong Pagar” Restaurant in Singapore are top-notch! You won't find another place that offers kimbap as a complimentary service. Their signature menu item is the Tonkatsu, which is absolutely delicious, but all of their other dishes are also fantastic. You definitely won't be disappointed with your meal here!
The kimbap is really good, we had the spam one. Sooooo good. Will be back to try the others. Went for the tonkatsu and kimbap combi (kimbap was half portion and is more than enough). Spicy pork was really yummy too. Hope they do well and sticky around cos hard to get good kimbap. And first time having Korean tonkatsu. Sauce is spicy ketchup kind not like the Japanese kind. Price was also pretty ok compared to other Korean joints around. Service was good too. Will be back.
I had a great time eating dinner at the restaurant. The korean food is authentic, delicious, and there is such a wide range of selections. All staff were commited to excellent service and were very friendly. I highly recommend trying the kimbap, donkatsu, and naengmyeon. Will definitely be back soon!
Authentic Korean food. Felt transported to Korea! The spicy octopus rice is good. Great service! Highly recommend this place for a Korean food fix.
Myung Ga (명가) II has earned its reputation as a prominent name in Singapore's Korean food scene, and their second outlet in Tanjong Pagar continues to uphold their culinary heritage. With dishes rooted in authentic Korean family recipes, this restaurant offers a unique dining experience.
One highlight of dining at Myung Ga (명가) II is the complimentary free-flow banchan, which showcases their commitment to serving the best. The daily preparation of 10 kilos of kimchi using ginger, garlic, and fresh fruits ensures a traditional Korean touch. Additionally, the banchan includes less commonly seen items like salted seaweed stems, stir-fried anchovies, and egg rolls, adding variety and depth to the meal. 👍🏻😋
The Korean interpretation of donkatsu, a dish similar to Japanese Tonkatsu, stands out at Myung Ga (명가) II. Their version features a notably thinner profile, achieving a perfect crispiness while maintaining the quality of the meat. The cutlet pairs well with the sweet and velvety sauce, creating a delightful combination. 👍🏻😋😋
The Kimbaps at Myung Ga (명가) II are made fresh daily, with fillings like spam, bulgogi, and tuna mayo. Each roll is meticulously prepared, with every ingredient undergoing hours of preparation to ensure the utmost quality. The result is a firm and intact rice roll that bursts with flavor. The effort put into crafting these rolls is evident in every bite, leaving diners satisfied and smiling. 👍🏻😋
For those seeking a hearty stew, the Kimchi Jjigae at Myung Ga (명가) II is a must-try. Made without the use of MSG or pre-made stock cubes, this flavorful stew with pork is created through hours of simmering kelp, anchovies, and onions. The result is a rich broth that brings out the full flavors of the ingredients. 👍🏻😋😋
Other notable dishes include the Deulkkae Kalguksu, a creamy broth enriched with perilla seeds, and the Haemul Buchujeon, a seafood pancake with a unique flavor from fresh Korean chives. 👍🏻😋😋
Lastly, the Tanjong Pagar outlet offers the exclusive option of grilling the meticulously sliced Iberico Pork Belly yourself or getting the staff to do it for you. The result is a melt-in-your-mouth goodness that is sure to satisfy. 👍🏻😋😋
In conclusion, Myung Ga (명가) II's second outlet in Tanjong Pagar continues to impress with its authentic Korean dishes made from scratch using top-quality ingredients. From the complimentary banchan to the meticulously prepared kimbaps and hearty stews, dining at Myung Ga (명가) II is a delightful experience. 🤩🤩
tried several dishes at Myung ga II, including the seafood ramyeon, sesame kalguksu, and the seafood pancake(not in picture)!
Out of all, I’ll rate seafood pancake the highest because they were generous with their seafood and there were large pieces of squid.
The side dishes weren’t that outstanding for me, except the seaweed/ kelp one was good!
I really enjoyed their barley tea that was served on the side. Sooo refreshing :)
Food was really good, order 2 mains and it can feed 3 people. We got the Kimchi Jjigae and Cheese Tteokbokki, recommended. The Jjigae should be a bit spicy for the normal Singaporean who can eat Macspicy, the Cheese Tteokbokki is damn good, please get it. Lady boss was really nice!
Only thing I didn’t really like was the ventilation and the noise insulation wasn’t very good.
one of the best korean food i’ve had in sg!! rly authentic taste, reminds me of korea 🥹
the pork donkatsu was HUGE, it was cooked perfectly and was not tough at all. we had the seafood soondubu, the soup was super umami and had so much flavours - seafoody and spicy! it had a lot of seafood in it like mussels, clams, prawns and squid! we also got the naengmyeon which was very refreshing! the broth was light and there were slices of cucumber and pear to give more texture to the dish!
the side dishes were also soo tasty and generous! gyeranmari (egg rolls), kimchi, seasoned seaweed, anchovies and beansprouts. the seasoned beansprouts were probably the best i’ve had - it had a realy nutty flavour with a hint of spice!
the lady boss was also so kind to provide us with 2 free service drinks!
overall a really delicious meal and would definitely recommend to my family and friends! looking forward to the next time i come back to have this hearty and delicious korean food again!
I've seen expansions of this brand's name in Bukit Timah Plaza. And I'm glad that it's a familiar place seen in Tanjong Pagar as well. However, they are not related to Myung Ga III in Beauty World in any way, based on their clarification in the business reply to my review below 😳 Newly opened, and I look forward to its business flourishing here.🥳
💧 Korean cold barley tea is complimentary
🥗 Side dishes are complimentary. Only omelette, no refills.
🍲 Kimchi Sundubu, Kimchi Soft Tofu Stew ($17)
I was surprised how much kimchi & tofu go into this. It's like 20% soup, and the rest is aged kimchi with soft tofu. Though it is slightly too salty in my preference, the broth is tangy from the fermented kimchi and savoury from the seasonings. Tofu is silky and acts as a good plain base. Rice is provided, too.
I rate: 3.5/5 🌟
🍜 Haemul Kalguksu, Seafood Knife Cut Noodles ($16)
Seafood given is a small handful, and prawns are not very fresh though partially deshelled.2 mussels were given as well as clams. Soup, though light, was too salty for my preference as well. Noodles are Al dente and made from flour.
I rate: 3/5 🌟
🥟 Gunmandu, Fried Dumplings ($17)
With 8 pieces, it's rather huge for 1 dumpling, and I like how the fillings are full, juicy, and meaty. Vermicelli was in it along with soem veggies. It's piping hot as well. Dipping in the scallion & vinegar sauce cuts the grease.
I rate: 4/5 🌟
Bruh. I thought the place was overhyped cos I saw it all over TikTok. I had the haemul kalguksu and the steam egg with cheese. IT WAS THE BOMB. The sajangnim was also very friendly. Appreciated the free kimbap while waiting cos queue was long even on a weekday evening.
located along the stretch of korean places on tanjong pagar, Myung ga 2 offers a wide variety of korean dishes at affordable prices in a modern setting.
Dishes like Donkatsu, Kimbap, Seafood Jeon and Kimchi Soups are the stars, accompanied by lesser known dishes like Nakji Bokkeum (octopus stir fry) available to try as well which were exceptionally yummy too!
The service was fast and friendly, and I would love to return to try their other items on their extensive menu!!
I have been a customer at the Bukit Timah Plaza branch, and decided to visit the new branch in Tanjong Pagar. The quality of the food here is simply outstanding, mirroring the excellence I’ve come to expect.
Always warm hospitality from the lovely owner lady, who always greets guests with a welcoming smile. The staff are friendly and attentive.
The authenticity of the flavors is consistently amazing, making it a delightful experience every time.
If you appreciate the true essence of Korean cuisine, this is definitely the place to be.
Highly recommended!!
I tried multiple Korean restaurant in Singapore and this is my first pick. Others tasted like somebody followed on Youtube, but this restaurant is lit. I felt like I am eating at real neighborhood restaurants in Korea. As a Korean, I recommend this place. Not expensive, good food, kind service.
I had bossam, seafood tofu stew, kimbap, nakjidupbap
This is a new opening casual place. Bunsik jib. We ordered Pork curtlet and kimchi fried rice for dinner. Their pork curtlet was tasty and big enough to share for two. Kimbab was offered on house. New clean place to visit. Good n polite Korean lady manager was a big help.
Second time coming. Food was yummy as usual but the pancake was a little soggy today despite the outside being charred. That said, the flavour is still on point. Always love the friendly employees here!
1. Queue system was very poor. Groups of ppl were just standing outside, staff had no system to take down details of ppl queuing, and had to constantly go out to ask how many in each group, and who came first.
2. Food was definitely not up to par, considering that the original branch standard is really high. The jjampong was lacking in flavour, no depth. Altang was ok, but also no depth. The kimchi pancake was good, crispy.
Overall portions were very big, service staff were very attentive and nice.
Thought the food was great but we were rushed out at the end and food that wasn’t finished was cleared off the table, which tainted the experience (we had made a reservation and were there for just about an hour at that point).
Clearly a popular (but small) place that seems to be quite understaffed. Best to make a booking on the weekends.
came on a friday night at 6:45pm and unexpectedly queued for 1h 45mins due to low turnover rate. was getting frustrated and kindly feedbacked to the lady boss while queuing, and the service recovery afterwards was really exceptional. besides the complimentary kimbap which 사장님 was single-handedly serving to waiting guests outside, she personally came to our table with a complimentary plate of tteokbokki which completely took us by surprise, and then came over again with 2 free canned drinks (this was all on top of us ordering seafood pancake and kimchi ramyeon). she also took our orders beforehand such that our food came almost immediately upon us getting our table.
i've never seen and experienced this level of attentive service, especially on the part of a restaurant owner. with 사장님's non-obligatory kind gestures out of her own goodwill plus her professionalism and calmness in handling customers who were far more frustrated than i was despite how busy the night was, i left the restaurant with utmost respect for her and the rest of the staff. i've been patronising the other branches for many years and will definitely be keeping 명가 on my list of favorite Korean restaurants. really huge portions at wallet-friendly prices and the taste is delectable like how i've always known it to be. thank you 사장님❤
The food was superbly good! Portions were huge for 2, we had to takeaway~
At first the jjamppong had great spice, but severely lacked salt. Luckily the lady boss approached to check in, then we brought it up. She had it replaced immediately and after that i tasted perfectttt so much depth savoury seafoody spicy broth~ so if you do encounter the same problem, do not hesitate to bring it up
We also had seafood pancake which confidently topped my list in comparison to other places
The stir fried pork came with rice and it paired so well, we couldnt resist while waiting, seriously this is a MUST!
Everything summed up to about $60 (no GST btw) which I must say is very affordable for such quality and portion~ the lady boss service was too good, until i paiseh LOL
Will definitely come back 🔥 Though, please expect to wait for an hour, they only accept call in reservations for 5 pax & up
Exceptional dining experience at Myung Ga ll (Tanjong Pagar)! The delicious food satisfied our hunger completely, and the generous side dishes were a delightful addition.
The attentive service from the Korean lady pretty boss (look like a kdrama actress) added a personal touch, making our visit truly memorable.
Highly recommend this place for authentic Korean cuisine and warm hospitality. :)
Free kimbap handmade by lady boss when she's there!! 😍😍 My fav was the sweet & refreshing crab kimbap 😋😋 Loved how she didn't skimp on liao (ingredients) — I think the rice was max 20% of each roll 🤣🤣
Our other orders:
🌶️ Kimchi Pancake ($20) ⭐️ 10/10
BEST kimchi pancake in SG 🙏🙏 With a chewy interior and crispy exterior, this was a JOY to eat — a lot of kimchi pancakes need the dip for an enjoyable bite, but I loved how flavourful and savoury this was even without the dip 😋😋 It's a MASSIVE PORTION (can share between ~3 pax) so definitely rec getting one to share!! 👍👍
🍲 Sundubu Kimchi Tofu Stew ($19) ⭐️ 8.5/10
A comforting classic with the softest, silkiest tofu I've seen in any SG kimchi stew 🤤🤤 With generous servings of both tofu and kimchi, this also comes with purple rice so it can definitely feed two small/medium eaters!! 👍👍
🍗 XXL Donkatsu ($20) ⭐️ 7.5/10
We knew we were COOKED when this was served — how can one donkatsu be so HUMONGOUS??!! 😭😭 It's my first time having Korean donkatsu, which differs from Japanese ones in two ways: (1) the Korean cutlet is thinner and crispier, and (2) the sauce is thicker and more tomatoey 👍👍 A delicious dish served with pickled yellow radish, baked beans, coleslaw and purple rice, easily feeding two!! 😍😍
Korean food tends to be SO overpriced in SG so their NO GST policy is truly a SAVIOUR 🙏🙏🙏 There's also refillable banchan, with my sister's fav kimchi in SG for its sweet-spicy flavours 🫶🫶
Definitely a restaurant that I'll be returning to!! ❤️❤️
*sponsored meal, but all opinions are my own
The most authentic Korean restaurant in town with a passionate lady boss. Got to know that a lot of their ingredients are from Korea, yet they are priced way lower than other restaurants. My favourite is their Octopus rice and Kimchi Jiggae. My friend loves their Gimbap but we didnt manage to order as it was just me and my partner. The cheesy egg had the right amount cheese!!
Will be back soon and I am alrdy craving for the octopus rice now as I type this.
My absolute favorite korean restaurant in Singapore. Dwenjang Jigae is a must try, so hearty and yummy. Seafood pancake is phenomenal, seafood is very fresh and pancake is crispy! The banchan is hearty and delicious, and the boss is super nice! Definitely must try in Singapore. I love Myung Ga II ❤️
food is brilliant, is pretty much the same taste as south korea's food! owner is extremely kind and generous as well :) will be back with my friends!
Great Korean food at Tanjong. Definitely recommend octopus and seafood pancake and beef soup. The service crew is very friendly too:)) will definitely come back again.
Soooo happy my fav Korean place opened another outlet in Tanjong Pagar!! If you love cold noodles, this is the place for you cos I’ve never tasted naengmyeon as good as this place makes it!! Their TP outlet is as consistent as the Bukit Timah plaza one :^) highly recommend!!
We were 2 people that day so we only got a few dishes (kimchi soondobo, naengmyeon & kimbap) but if we had more people I’d also get the pancakes!! They’re super crispy, flavourful and not overly greasy.
What I love abt the kimchi soup is that it doesn’t just taste like kimchi put in stock, but I think they fry the kimchi first before cooking it in the soup cos it’s so flavourful?! 10/10 I love this place!!
The lady boss is also the sweetest!! She’s so attentive & welcoming. Highly recommend coming here anytime for a meal!! :-)
Here’s a halfway through the meal pic cos we couldn’t wait to dig in LOL
First trial, because seeing good review.
Very very delicious cheese tteokboki. Korean soybsauce chicken also delicious. Banchan also delicious.
Staff very attentive. Very happy to enjoy meal here.
It’s a Nice place! I like the fried chicken, taste real flavour full with the sauce., fresh pancake fits real well with it’s sauce
Recommend the seafood pancake and sundubu! Amazed by the free banchan, with egg omelette
Food is great, atmosphere is lively with nice background music. Reasonably priced food with decent portions
Portion is great and taste is authentic too ! Ordered the steamed egg, pancake (reccomended) & beef stew
Exceptional dining experience! The proportion of ingredients in each dish is incredibly generous, ensuring a satisfying meal every time. The flavors are perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice and seasoning – never too salty or overwhelming. Moreover, the service here is impeccable; the staff are warm, attentive, and always eager to assist. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine and top-notch hospitality!
Lady boss and her staff were really nice and welcoming! Even gave us kimbap and some drinks on the house?!
Food was amazing. Authentic, served pretty quickly and tasted like I was back in Korea! Defo would recommend this outlet ❤️🫶🏻 thank you for the amazing meal!
Amazing service and food!! While waiting for seats, we were served with complimentary kimbap and drinks. The environment and food was very homely. It was a great experience particularly cos we were attended by Vicky who was very warm and ensure that we are well taken care of! Would definitely recommend! :)
The service is 10/10, the owner gave us free sides and a complimentary dish :") the atmosphere was great too love all the songs played
Celebrated two friends' birthdays & the host was very friendly and generous with some appetisers and drinks on the house.
Food was super good and lots of ingredients even though price point might be slightly steep. Highly recommend the jjamppong - soup super thick and flavourful, portion was huge. While waiting outside, the owner even gave us complimentary gimbap!! Super wholesome and nice owner would definitely come back again!
Friendly service and good authentic korean food. Will definitely come back again!
Good freshly made kimbap. Love the slice Iberia pork belly with sojo. Tried the soup and octopus, two thumbs up. Portion is very generous and good atmosphere too. Staff is attentive and friendly with sincere smile always on their faces. Overall food is very heart warming and generous portion. Good value for money! Must try.
Been here umpteen times! Service and food is excellent! Lady boss is very friendly and generous.
Love the food! And such friendly staff! Particularly loved the seafood pancake, bossam and japchae. The owner was extremely friendly and chatted with us. An excellent recommendation for Korean cuisine
The service was outstanding. Whenever we ran out of side dish, they nicely asked if we needed more. Then at the moment when we were contemplating whether to order kimbop or pancake, they offered us a complimentary kimbop which tasted awesome. The portion size was also HUGE. As a Korean, a complaint that I always have in mind is that SG portion size is small but the portion felt like I was home. In fact, I eat A LOT but couldn't finish the food cuz it was so generous. The sea food pancake was crispy inside-out and the wang tonkatsu (왕돈까스) was authentic with well balanced sauce. My crew also enjoyed kimchi jjigae and jaeyuk dupbap (제육덮밥) was good too. They also don't have GST people!!!! Would definitely revisit! 서비스 너무 감사합니다 사장님!! 그리고 사장님하고 언니들 넘호 예쁘신거 아닌가요 🥺🥺 또 다시 들리겠습니다~
Myung Ga II is already well-known in Bukit Timah area for its authentic, delicious Korean dishes. With such level of expectation, I visited the place for dinner which has been recently opened in Tanjong Pagar area.
Overall, it was very satisfactory for me and my family. The taste of the foods we ordered was matching or exceeding our expectation, and the amount was a lot despite of its reasonable price considering the restaurant is located in Central Business District. In addition, there are several new dishes available only in this branch including the pork belly BBQ. If you drink with some Korean alcoholic drinks, it would be perfect to enjoy the atmosphere. Great service and easy access by public transportation are also attractive for this place to come again.
I would recommend here if anybody wants to have proper Korean food at good price!
Had previously tried their OG shop back in Bukit Timah Plaza, and decided to give them a try in the new location.
Ordered the Soy Bean Paste Stew and Spam Gimbap. It was delicious, but would've appreciate a bit more ingredients for the soup!
Nonethless, the lady boss and staff were very friendly, and even gave us korean drinks at the end of the meal!
Best cold noodles I ever had. The stock and noodles were the best.
Authentic Korean food! Huge, huge portions so bring your friends to order a variety! Side dishes are refillable but we didn’t have too due to the amount of food. 🥰 will come back again!
Great place for everyday wholesome korean food. Seafood pancake and fried dumplings were good. Good banchan too. Friendly service and complimentary gimbap made our day!
Solid food quality with enormous servings! Banchan servings here is one of the best i’ve been to so far. My favourite dish is their donkatsu!
Seafood pancake was good, although it was slightly charred in the middle. We ordered many dishes and our faves were the Seafood Jjampong & the Naengmyeon.
good good
Every dish we ordered was a hit! Very attentive service, nice and clean space :)
amazing food and experience !! The owner was friendly and super accommodating❤️🔥❤️🔥🤩
Food was amazing ! Service was great too. Will def be back.
Noel have been excellent in the service food is excellent. Love this place
great food and friendly service
During my trip, I visited Universal because I really wanted to eat Korean food after playing a lot at Universal, and it was a restaurant I had no regrets about!!
The owner is really friendly and the food is all delicious~
I thought the amount would be small, but that wasn't the case at all!! You really give me a lot.
They also gave us kimbap as a service, and after the meal, they also gave us Birak sikhye and galbae drinks ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Myung Ga II @ Tanjong Pagar
Although the restaurant may be small, the quick turnover ensures a smooth dining experience. The food is authentic and delicious, with great pricing and well-curated food and drink sets available. Myung Ga II is definitely a must-visit for anyone craving quality Korean cuisine!
Myeongga II @ Tanjong Pagar
The restaurant is somewhat small, but the quick turnover makes for a pleasant dining experience. The food is authentic and delicious, well priced and has a well-organized food and drinks set. Myeongga II is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for high-quality Korean food!
I came here once when it was Seoulism before it changed to Myeongga, but the interior or atmosphere hasn't changed and the food seems like the Myeongga itself :)
I originally liked Myeongga’s pork cutlet, but I heard they had a snack set so I came to try it.
The lunch set is available only from 11-3, and as an additional menu item, there is Tteokbokki and Jjolmyeon. It says mini, but it is not a mini at all!!
The seaweed soup they gave us was delicious, but it's a shame that we couldn't eat it all because we were so full.
The kindness of the owner has already been written in many reviews, but it was nice to see him being really friendly and taking great care of each and every customer.
May you prosper~~
The owner is really friendly, and the atmosphere inside the store is nice💯
The food is so delicious that I definitely want to come back to eat again, and it's great to have a meal with a light glass of soju!!
The lady boss is very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere of the restaurant is really good as well.
Food is definitely good enough for me to want to come back again. Great place to have a good meal with a few bottles of soju!
The other menu items are delicious, but be sure to try the pork cutlet!! Eating pork cutlet and cold noodles is paradise. It's so delicious🥹🤤 Plus, they provided kimbap and drinks for the long wait,, warmth, which is hard to find in Singapore. The owner is so kind and pretty.
As I was waiting before entering, they provided free drinks and even served kimbap to keep me hungry. Enter in a good mood and stick to the entrance.
A perfect store with no gst! They just said it was a Korean restaurant.
I can't believe there is a Korean restaurant like this in Singapore, where there are only restaurants that don't even provide water, collect taxes, and provide the worst service.
The kimchi stew is better than Korea’s and the pork cutlet doesn’t have enough rice.
Even the rice was refilled twice. I don't think I would regret coming here and eating there instead of going to other strange Korean restaurants. And the Korean female staff was so kind.
Korean food is famousㅠㅠㅠㅠ It’s so delicious!! You must come here, absolutely!! I enjoyed it ~ All the food was so delicious..🥵🩷
I visited because I was thinking about Korean food while traveling. Usually, there are many restaurants that imitate Korean food, but this place just serves Korean food. The owner was really friendly, and I enjoyed the meal very much.
-The number one Korean restaurant in my heart!!
-The taste and quantity of food needs no explanation, and the owner's kindness and service are a bonus!!
-Recommended menu: Pork cutlet, kimchi stew, soybean paste stew, egg soup, octopus rice bowl, pork rice bowl, cold cold noodles with cold noodles, bibim cold noodles,... (Except for the ones I haven't tried yet, they are all really delicious.😉 )
After living in Singapore for a year, when I was tired of cooking every day, I first visited Myeongga 2 near Bukit Timah, my neighborhood. I went into a restaurant without any expectations and was blown away by the Korean taste I missed. I was blown away by the older sister-like kindness and beauty of the owner, and I was even more blown away by the price!! ...It has become a favorite restaurant since then. 😍 I went to Tanjong Paga the day after it opened and tried it for the first time. The thinly sliced pork belly melted in my mouth, and the cool and clean interior was the best environment to enjoy the food.
No matter how delicious it was, I don't leave reviews out of laziness... For the owner who is sincere about food and people, to spread the word because it's a shame that only I know about it, for Koreans who feel the shadow of the country, and for foreigners who don't know the taste of Korean food yet. For those... I highly recommend it!!!
It's a shame I don't have any pictures because I'm always busy eating with my nose buried in it~~
Try it for yourself~~👍👍 😋
The kimbap was so delicious that you could taste each ingredient. The sauce for the pork cutlet is also mouth-watering! I was very satisfied with the winding.
Eating pork belly and soju in Singapore made me feel like I was back home!
The fried fish cake and sauce provided were very delicious. I liked that the price was cheaper than other houses. I definitely plan to go again and try the menu I've never tried before.
