Reviews of New Fut Kai Vegetarian Restaurant
The vegetarian food here is amazing with so many options to choose from and affordably priced. The service was great too with the staff being very kind. Note that they do close the kitchen 30 mins before.
Suitable for cooling weather - charcoal hotpot - soya soup base, nutritious and taste delicious 👍🏻
Been here for the second time and ordered the set course. I would say the food quantity is generous, and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. But there are some areas of improvement. First of all the sequence the dish should be served. We got served with the noodle dish first which makes us fill up pretty quickly. I think the hotpot soup dish is very heavy for a set/course meal, should change to a lighter soup. The suckling pig is not good, the taste is just sweetness. Not even close to Miaoyi's standard. This dish should be more of savoury with mild sweetness.
Editing with additional comments: Mala chicken is really good. A must try dish if you like Mala. Ee fu noodle is also tasty which the texture of the noodle and seasoning is managed well. Platter is also tasty with good variety of snacks.
One more important and worth to mentioned is that they do not uses those manufactured mock meats & etc, most dishes are made from scratch.
This is really GOOD vegetarian food. The hotpot is a must try. Staff friendly and responsive too. Only problem is location has limited parking options.
A small vegetarian restaurant that serves Chinese cuisine and traditional dishes. They also have steamboat options, but we decided to go for their ala carte menu instead.
Ordered the following: Kailan Beancurd Roll, Pumpkin sharkfin, Deepfried oyster mushroom with Pumkin Sauce, Vegetarian Roast Duck and Xiao Bai Cai.
My favourite is definitely the Deepfried Osyter mushroom with pumkin sauce. The oyster mushrooms was super crispy and fragrant, and the pumpkin sauce dip was the perfect sweet accompany.
Not so much impressed with the vegetable dishes since they weren't really properly chopped/cut and every piece came as a big chunk that my family started pushing off to each other.
Pumpkin Sharksfin came piping hot and I would be super pleased with this fact if it weren't for the fact that a portion of it dripped down my sister's leg when the waiter spilled it over her. And yes, she got burns from it, along with very insincere and unhelpful apologies.
So a summary? The food is okay, the price is alright too. But hopefully the next time if I ever visit, their service improves and they'll know what to do when they give someone second degree burns ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Vegetarian Army Stew Kimchi Hotpot and Spicy Chicken on the menu for a limited time. Portion is for 3 pax or even for 4 if the diners are small eaters. The vegetarian spam is super yummy and the tteokbokki is the softest i get tried. Guess what, the fried chicken is actually jackfruit!
Head over to IG : Joslovesfood for my food exploration journey.
Very good vegetarian food here! Especially ah ma fish head hotpot, pumpkin butter sauce mushroom, charcoal sesame toufu, shan yao toufu, etc. The sauce is special and nice taste! Recommended for any occasion.
Delicious food, they serve the best vegetarian dishes in Singapore. Recommend vegetarian duck, comes with mushroom filling.
The food is superb. Absolute delight of flavours. The laksa hot pot = execellent. MALA chicken, crispy duck tofu. Everything tastes so good. Olive fried rice is best. Coming back soon. Even the desserts are good
Title: A Vegetarian Delight!
Rating: ★★★★★
New Fut Kai is a vegetarian restaurant that truly impressed me. The warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and thoughtfully crafted menu made my dining experience exceptional. The Signature platter and Charcoal hotpot was bursting with flavors. Impeccable presentation. A must-visit for all vegetarian food enthusiasts. Highly recommended!
Vegetarian food is rlly nice! And staff (tall guy) was very friendly!♥️
New Fut Kai is a vegetarian restaurant that offers a wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes to cater to the increasingly health-conscious community. This humble establishment serves up delicious and healthy Chinese cuisine, and has quickly become one of the top vegetarian eateries in the city. With an extensive menu, customers can choose from a variety of options, from stir-fries to soups, noodles to rice, all made with fresh and flavorful ingredients. The restaurant is clean and cozy, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices are also very reasonable, making it a great value for money option for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Overall, if you're looking for a healthy and satisfying meal in a pleasant environment, New Fut Kai is definitely worth checking out.
Although I'm a meat lover, must say the deep-fried mushroom in Pumpkin Sauce is a winner! Hor-fun from the Daily Specials also good value.
For our last meal in Singapore we wanted to try the local flavors in vegetarian options. And this restaurant proved to be the absolutely right place. The menu has numerous great options for vegetarians. And Indians/vegetarians who want to explore the local cuisine or asian cuisine in its authentic form, then this is the place. The people are friendly and the best thing was that they serve 3 different portions of each dish. So good saving without wastage
A bit pricey, but the food is great and service friendly. Well worth coming for celebrations.
This is my favourite vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. Mouth watering food menu and service. Always visit for friends gathering, celebrations and more. Must try hotpot!
Dessert is just so so 🥶
One of our favourite vegan-friendly restaurants to dine at.
The moment I found out they had vegan laksa hotpot, I knew I had to try it.
They also have other unique vegan dishes that can’t be found elsewhere, but need to go in a bigger group else we can’t finish them as the portions are very generous.
We tried the Yuzu Toufu for the first time, it was crispy & the sauce was so refreshing! It might be our new favourite side dish. Always an enjoyable experience 😆
Definitely recommend to go with your family!
Food is great, tasty and price reasonably. Only shortfall is one of the Vietnam(sounds like} service crew. Slow in her movement and lack zest.
Quaint little gem of a restaurant with some of the tastiest vegetarian fare you will find in Singapore. The place was crowded and fully booked. The tofu and steamboat were exceptional. With vegetarian steamboat there is no oil or gravy floating to the top. Mushroom starter snd noodle dish hit the spot. Ambience is simple and basic. Efficient unobtrusive service. Highly recommend.
New Fut Kai Vegetarian Restaurant offers a unique and delightful vegetarian dining experience that is definitely worth trying. With its delicious charcoal hotpot and hot wok dishes, stylish ambiance, and excellent service, this restaurant is sure to please both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diners alike.
Had their Soya miso hot pot (that uses traditional charcoal to heat the pot, who even does that now?!), 2 other dishes (asparagus & crispy "chicken") and a pot of flower tea. Food was very tasty and not oily. Good portion for 3 people and total bill came up to $70+. Fast service. Nice little hidden gem along Jalan Besar. Highly recommend.
Must try their Laksa Hotpot & Butter pumpkin Mushroom😋!
New Fut Kai Vegetarian Restaurant is a gem for vegetarians! Their food is authentic, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend trying their dim sum!
The food is very tasty and some dishes actually taste like real meat. The spread is good. A bit pricy but worth the money
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two or a fun night out with friends, this restaurant has something for everyone...
One of the best Chinese vegetarian restaurants in Singapore. Love their hotpots, especially the laksa. Slightly pricey, but the quality is very good.
Food super tasty - the mock Peking duck, sweet potato basket..
Friendly staff taking our order repeatedly stated we did not order enough dishes for our group of 7. But it's better to not over-order, as is customary at Chinese functions, as it generates a lot of food waste.
Foods is great especially their platter, must try.
Service crew were friendly.
Environment is good too.
My personal experience is that their service is good. Food is offered at afforable prices. Sevring of dishes is fast. I like the vegetarian "Nasi Lemak", the rice is fragrant and portion is just right for me, not too huge or too small.
Fantastic place for vegetarian cuisine. The charcoal sesame tofu and mala crispy chicken are really good.
A small cosy restaurant with friendly staff. Food is excellen....as good as top Chinese Restaurants. Can't believe it a Vegetarian Restaurant! Have to try, to appreciate and the good prices. It's been around for 18 years!
Satisfying lunch and surprise me with all sort of vegetarian variety. Value for money, worth trying and great taste
The food is good, there’s a variety of dishes and the staff are friendly. It is affordable as well.
It’s a nice place for vegetarian meal, yummy and healthy :)
Must visit a place for all vegetarian lovers. Tasty and delicious food
The food look nice and delicious 😋, and the service is good
Very delicious foods and super nice service
Variety of vegetarian dishes and options for a protein rich diet.
First review: I’ve been there several times and I love it all. The food is cooked with care and sincerity. Highly recommended!
Second review: I was a regular customer and recently their services disappoint me, found hair in the soup without any apology and the food was slow…
This is the first time I had vegetarian hotpot. It is a rare charcoal-style hotpot. I recommend the laksa hotpot, which is quite warming.
Very large selection of vegan HotPots and other vegan dishes. We had the Mushroom HotPot with travel. Delicious.
Delicious food, good service
The location is good and the food is good, but parking is a bit troublesome
Very good service, abundant dishes, affordable price
Add more shredded ginger and red glutinous rice flour to the red glutinous rice noodles. . . Super like 👍
