Reviews of Nijuuichi Duxton Hill
Staffs are friendly and joyful.. Feel so relax during the meal.. Chef Glenn is very skillful and manage the sushi so well.. Will definitely be a first choice omakase restaurant to choose if I craving for omakase.. yummy!!
We had a wonderful Omakase lunch at 21 Nijuuichi.
The food was excellent in terms of the variety and quality. The sashimi were fresh and delicately served; the Aburi sushi was rich and moorish. Oh, I’m still thinking about how amazing that uni and tuna belly hand roll was.
The cooked dishes - the collagen soup; chawanmushi; mushroom tofu - were hearty and complementary supporting acts, with hints of Cantonese/Chinese influence.
The Japanese fruits were very premium and satisfying. And do go for the home made plum wine - it’s sweet and punchy. We had around 15-18 courses for lunch.
Service was brisk and polite, and Chef Marcus is wonderfully skilled and friendly. The ambiance is casual yet elevated, with an understated modern-luxe decor running throughout the space.
Keep up the good work. We will be back!
Had a great omakase at Nijuuichi for dinner. Appreciate that chef Glenn was meticulous in explaining each item and used both the English + Japanese names bcos my knowledge still needs some improvement (haha!). The sashimi items he prepared were all fresh and I especially enjoyed the superbly well-marbled tuna otoro. The restaurant was also well-decorated and bright enough to see what I'm eating, compared to some other places which sometimes tend to be a little too dark. Overall a good experience and would come back again.
Lux, quiet posh dining tucked in Duxton Hill enclave. Chef has many years of experience, having served top luminaries and diplomat.
The food was astounding. Tuna and scallop was divine and be sure to try their home-made umeshu. Excellent value for money omasake.
Truly an amazing experience. The food was sublime and the service was very attentive. Well worth a visit.
Every dish was delightful and excites different parts of the taste buds. Highly recommend
One of the best experiences for pure Japanese food.
