Reviews of Pasta Brava
Had a wonderful dinner at pasta Brava. The hand made pasta is a must try , which is an optional upgrade but a must try as well as the seafood pasta . Recommend the beef ragu also
. Heard the squid ink is not bad so going back to try that next time. The pizza is not bad and quite worth the money
We also spoke to owner who turns out to be very nice!
Overall a very enjoyable dinner. Ragu beef is must try
a nice cosy traditional space.
food are rather authentic and taste decently well. huge menu.
love the lobster bisque.
saffeon cream risotto is aromatic but the rice seems alittle undercooked.
homemade gnocchi is alittle mushy rather than the usual chewy texture we had elsewhere.
home made tiramisu is good.
overall a nice homely experience. but price is rather steep maybe it ain't a big space hence the price to cover the cost.
Rating is a combination of food quality and price. I would say location and interior is the main thing that draw us here.
We order appetiser which is cold cuts and burrata and the menu said it is sgd26. Turn out the burrata was charge separately and total is sgd 54 for that appetiser. Totally not worth it.
Seafood pasta but really dont taste seafood at all. High chance it is frozen seafood
I dont think they have sommelier because the recommendation sucks. We tried different wine like you see on the receipt.
I just returned here 3 years after my first visit, and the pastas did not disappoint! We primarily had the vongole clam aglio olio and the stracci saffron seafood pasta. They were, in my opinion, excellent and flavourful.
However, we also had the Turkey & Pork Meatloaf + the Grilled Octopus salad. I found the octopus kinda disappointing, and would not call it authentic. Regarding the meatloaf…. We have nothing to say.
We topped off dinner with an XO Gin Large Tiramisu, which I really enjoyed. I would recommend it if you like gin in your cakes.
Should you visit Pasta Brava, I would highly recommend just exploring their pasta menu! I also highly appreciated the excellent service from the staff. Ambience was also cosy and relaxing.
I celebrated my 18th birthday at Pasta Brava and ordered pasta pizzas and a cake—it was so good! The pizza was fresh and tasty, the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the cake was moist and delicious, perfect for the occasion. The staff were super nice, and the whole vibe of the place made my birthday feel special. Definitely a great spot for celebrations! I will definitely come back again :)
Our favorite place for family gatherings. Great for special occasions.
Pasta and pizza are great as always. Love the special menus from time to time.
Dessert platter (for sharing) is nice but you won’t know what’s on it when you order (it’s a surprise!). We ordered two sets and both are slightly different. What a nice surprise for the kids.
Overall, very nice experience with the friendly and accommodating staffs. Pasta Brava is certainly a place that will come often!
Decided to try this place because of its location and decoration in a nice historic building. However was disappointed by the food quality. We didn’t go for those “hot” dishes such as squid ink pasta, saffron etc - we go for what we like. That is where we feel this place comes short. The garden salad portion is a joke for the price it charges. Yep inflation - We know that. But even dressing? We literally had to ask for more. And the salad tastes like it is from Fairprice. The shrimp in the seafood soup is dry and mean - must have been fridged for quite a well. Cold cut? You can also get it from any supermarket. The chicken pasta, which was highly recommend by the waiter, came out nice and proper - probably saved the night. But finally a large and lousy party turned the quiet dinning room to a bar - We quickly bowed out.
Good if you want to check out this place for its ambience. But please have a realistic expectation on food quality.
The second level is a super ideal place for a large group of between 10-20pax. Excellent ambience for a family or work gathering in privacy. Food arrived quickly upon ordering and was presented well and warm. Highly recommend the grilled meats.
Summary: Food and service were generally good. But for the price, I expect the taste to be better.
We ordered the garlic bread and burrata for starters. Burrata was good, but perhaps would be better with more pesto. In the end, I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar to enhance the flavour. Garlic bread was as it should be.
For mains, we got the squid ink spaghetti and the seafood platter. Squid ink pasta was so-so, again, lacking flavour. The seafood platter was a hit and miss. Some items were good and some weren't. For example, the scallop was good, but the prawn was a bit mushy indicating it wasn't in the freshest state.
For dessert, we got the sticky date pudding. Tasted more like a cake than a pudding and way too little caramel. So this was quite disappointing.
All in all, an okay experience.
came on a saturday afternoon at about 3:30pm so it was empty inside. got my usual order of pasta (the one with the saffron cream which was their signature). i can’t believe how much the standards have dropped. this used to be my usual order for special occasions and it’s been 2 years since i visited. 2 years ago there were located at another part of tanjong pagar.
the scallop was chewy (over cooked) and no longer tender soft, and the prawn is the store brought shrimp instead of the BIGGG FRESH prawns. it seems to be half the size smaller too.
overall the dish is okay, but it wasn’t mind-blowing good as i remember.
i can’t help but feel a little scammed for this $30+ meal (for the pasta alone) because i could have just settled for something else at the maxwell food market right next door.
i won’t be returning :(
this used to be a top italian restaurant. what happened?
decor is still quaint and homely like their prev outlet but the food is no longer the same.
This is one of those places everyone talks about but you may or may not have decided that you want to give it a shot - this is your sign that you SHOULD. Best known as Pasta Brava, my boyfriend and I had the Stracci pasta with seafood and the Duck Parppardelle. What looks unassuming at first was one of the best pastas we’ve had in Singapore, not overpowering but with a distinct taste that takes you by surprise in all the best ways possible :) Of course, it was for a birthday celebration and we had the Sticky Date Pudding; hard to find a place that serves good dessert alongside their mains but it was just the right portion size!!!! :-) Food aside, loved the attention from the staff in particular the owner Sofi herself, Esther, Lydia and her entire crew :) This is a local gem you should definitely give a try.
Booked pasta brava for birthday celebration. The squid ink seafood spaghetti was fragrant. The stracci pasta was creamy. Pre-ordered birthday cake with berries. The staff were attentive and helpful.
Personally find the pasta quality high, and the experience solid. Of course, I went for the additional truffle cream sauce, got some prosecco, and ended with tiramisu. But through the entire evening, the Singaporean chinese uncle server was just especially friendly and lovely. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time, or else you likely won't get a seat, especially weekends. Price point is on the high side, but at Craig road area, you cannot really complain.
Very welcoming service from all the staff that’s on shift on that day 24 Aug 2023 dinner.
All food was served hot & portion was appropriate and adequate for 4 ladies
Will return again!
I went yesterday with my friends to celebrate my boss' birthday yesterday. Pasta Brava shifted to Scarlet hotel! Thanks to the staff who called to confirm reservation. :)
The food there is very nice and we enjoyed it. We even had 2 portions of seafood stew as the stew and the toasted garlic bread matches very well. :) The desserts are very nice too. We ordered 3 to share.
We would like to compliment the staff who made our visit wonderful:
1) Mr. Allan - He is very friendly and he is also very helpful and take initiative to help us check why our order took so long as we were very hungry. :) And he also recommended some nice wines to my boss and she is very pleased too. Thank you.
2) Ms. Lydia - The lovely manager who spend time with customers and she made us felt at home. She even brought us up to the roof bar and the view there is marvellous. Very friendly manager whom is very helpful. :) Thank you very much too! :)
3) Lastly, Ms. Sofi - The lady boss of the restaurant. She amused me with her Keto knowledge and she is also very friendly and approachable. Happy to know her. Thank you very much!
Overall experience, more than wonderful! :) If you want to have a small celebration, pls consider this venue! You will not regret this! :)
It’s my first time visiting this restaurant for lunch with my wife and baby daughter, little did I know this restaurant is a hidden gem of Singapore, we both ordered pasta and it is amazing, their melon prosciutto is great too, last but not least their tiramisu is light yet deliciously ended our wonderful lunch in this restaurant, don’t think any other restaurant in Singapore can match their pasta, or maybe we are just very hungry 🤣, but honestly do drop by this restaurant, their service staffs are amazing, especially Lydia and her team, please give them a raise!
Extremely warm and pleasant staff coupled with a homely atmosphere, to top it all off, food quality exceeded expectations. Fun personalities running the house! Will definitely return! Hope to see the same faces when i do!
A good italian restaurant with great ambience and excellent serving staff.
We ordered the ravioli, aspargus soup, garlic bread and chocolate lava cake. All items were good though the ravioli felt a bit lacking.
A nice place to celebrate a special occasion.
Edit: In the second visit, I had the arrabiata pasta, fried ravioli with burrata, sticky dates syrup cake and the tiramisu. The desserts were bad but the main courses were really good.
Visited to celebrate partner's birthday. Guided through by Miss L during the reservation process. Great hospitality from ground staffs. Dinner was great, fresh proteins with perfectly cooked beef to our likings.. Was a lil disappointed with the lobster bisque (was hoping there would be a lil chunks of lobsy in it), but we finished till the last drop (flavourful! 😍). Great experience overall!
Ambience was great and cosy
Food was super
Service was good and made more fun when one of the service staff Lydia took over.
I had a wonderful time with my friends at Brava Pasta
their pasta never disappoints, im in love! their calamari appetizer was alright. their lava cake was dry with the tiniest flow of lava, their cake on the right of the photo was really nice though.
staff wasn't the most professional, but still very warm and welcoming in general. pasta brava has a very homey, authentic ambience that i love. definitely a place i'd bring my friends to for a casual dinner!
Celebrated my kid’s birthday at Pasta Brava today. Cozy restaurant and just really nice vibes. Service was good and the food was also gorgeous. Highly recommend!
The environment is lovely - beautiful decor and classy music! The service was great, waitresses were friendly and helped recommend dishes. Thank you!!
Went with a big group of 14 folks for our team lunch celebration. Restaurant manager was proactive and helped us preorder our food so everything was smooth. We also had our own dining area. Thank you!
We have been coming to Pasta Brava for the past 7 yrs for our Company Agm dinner , always amazing food and friendly services. they are moving to a bigger 3 storeys shop house in July . Looking forward to our next event in their bigger private rooms. Congrats 🥂
Ordered the squid ink pasta and mushroom risotto and I must say that both dishes are on point and made me want to return to try out other dishes. Only regret is my limited stomach capacity in one seating which means that I have to return few more trips to try out the other dishes, looking forward to the next dining experience at Pasta Brava. Highly recommended!
- rating: 7.9/10
- ate with: my boyfriend!
- ordered: duck ravioli, wine, lasagna, some type of soup that i forgot, tomato with bread
- PRICY
- went there for a romantic celebration of my birthday with my boyfriend!
- soup was bad… but the ravioli was really good!!
- dont trust the server there, we asked him to recommend us wine and he did not recommend us one that went with the food… :/
[ migrated review i did last time from the app Yummi ]
Nice atmosphere and good foods. I personally enjoyed the squid with veggies. Pasta and pizza satisfying dish too.
For the Dessert, i should of choosen chocolatr nova than apple cake😅
Located along Craig Road with old school furnishing and decor. Nicely done Italian cusine.
Tasty and savourful pasta.
Although I found the clams rather small in size.
Serves wine and coffee as beverages.
Pricey one the pocket.
Had a lovely experience organising a dinner for colleagues and friends with Pasta Brava. Firstly, the reservation process was efficient and stress free. I was not pressurised to have a minimum spend per pax just to secure the booking for 20 pax unlike other restaurants I approached. Lydia, who helped with the booking, was very professional - she offered to help prebook our orders to avoid long waiting times especially since there was another group dinner around the same time. She also gave us awesome recommendations for food and wine :) Although I did not specifically request for a private room, she managed to sit us in one, which allowed us to have unrestricted conversations within the group. All in all, we had a blast catching up over dinner at Pasta Brava! A great place to consider for group meals!
Authentic Italian food with Italian ambience, suitable for a dinner date with your partner or even a chill gathering with friends. The staffs are very welcoming and despite the serving being smaller than expected, it is still very filling to the tummy. A recommended place for pasta lovers :)
Celebrated my birthday with my family there yesterday. Excellent food with great service! Didn't get the name of the staff serving us but she was really friendly and helpful! Place was abit tight but they are moving soon to a bigger place soon! Will be back for the great Italian food!
Excellent customer service dedicated to everyone of us the diners, and staffs sang birthday song in harmony to congratulate the birthday boy.. Awesome food, awesome place, grateful for everything.. Keep up the good work guys:)
Service is excellent, nice atmosphere and yummy food. Portions of vegetables were a little small. Flavouring and cooking of the appetisers, main dish and dessert were very nicely done.
Good food, with fresh ingredients. The duck ragout was the standout but all the dishes we tried were solid. Ambience was pleasant, with attentive service. We would happily come back here!
We walked in without reservation today friday nite. This is our first visit. Ordered squid ink pasta and seafood pizza. Food is nice.. staffs are friendly. Worth a try.
The service team have a surprise birthday decorations on top of our ordered cakes🥳🥰 that was really so touching. Thank you very much as you brighten up my bad day🫰🌻❤️
The food was amazing! I really loved the pasta with saffron sauce. The sauce was so rich and creamy, and the prawns and scallops were really fresh! The mushrooms were fragrant too. Would definitely be back again for some authentic Italian food!
Went with my family (group of 5) on a Sunday evening. Service was excellent. Our server May was extremely patient and very polite. All the other servers were welcoming too. Ordered the tiramisu, chocate cake and sticky date pudding. Personally we felt that desserts we ordered were average. Pasta is amazing!
We were staying at The Scarlet hotel so this restaurant became our go to for several meals. The breakfast was great, as was lunch, and dinner was wonderful 👏 The staff there became friends and we can't speak highly enough of how friendly and lovely they were. They made going to the restaurant a wonderful experience.
Restaurant surrounding make us feel romantic when me n my gf having dinner here. Staff is polite and feel welcoming
Food here really nice.. Especially the grill seafood.. Is fresh n delicious
Here with group of friends. There’s actually still a private room at level 2. Food are awesome too! Will be back agai
Personally standard has lowered than before squid ink pasta was way too salty for enjoyment. Overall price was also on high side especially now more trendier with Italian restaurants are available.
Great atmosphere and ambience and serves great Italian food . Has good vegetarian as well and Keto options with pizza and pasta
Thank you Lydia for the fantastic recommendation
Do remember to ask her for the specials not found in their menu. Damn good! Great service.
Food was not bad. Got the spinach ravioli and carbonara bacon pizza. Not sure that I’d recommend a vegetarian here especially given the price. Pandan milkshake was a little diluted. Good service and nice ambience.
It starts with a normal reservation but the owner is very helpful and do the extra miles to arrange lots of things for us
The food, as many stated, is of very good quality and the price is reasonable, highly recommend
It was a spur of the moment decision to have our reunion dinner here and we were glad we did! 5 stars for the warm and friendly service! We were warmly welcomed and attended to by the service staff (particularly the lady in blue - unfortunately didn't manage to get her name).
Food was yummy and hearty too!
Lovely cosy restaurant and bar. Staff service is amazing and pasta highly recommended. Tried beef lasagne and Duck Ragu pasta. Both fantastic!
Food was superb, everything tasted really amazing and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming! Price range was a little bit on the pricier side but the quality of the food and service makes it all worth it! Didn't take photos because we just couldn't wait to eat them
Everything was delicious, and service was fantastic! Worth coming!
came in on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was maybe half-full. Haven't been here for some years and happy to see things were pretty much the same. Had the parma ham melon. stracci saffron cream pasta and mushroom pizza. menu had a notice that they were moving mid-year to nearby tras st. bill was c. $100 for 2pax. overall was a decent dinner.
My family visited this place with some tourist friends who had three young kids. While it’s difficult to get a reservation on weekends specially with three young kids, pasta brava not only accepted the reservation but also were super patient with the kids. Extremely kids friendly restaurant, very warm staff, great ambience and awesome food. Strongly recommend this place to all!
Other than pizza, I didn't really think there was any items which was fantastic. Price is high especially for the meat platter. For $238, portion is really small for 3 to 4 pax.
Keto food is superb. Try out the new keto chilli crab fried rice ! Delicious without the calories
I’ve tried many many vongoles, and the one here at pasta brava is still the best. Service was great too, thank you! :)
I have been missing their pasta for the longest. From the time at Craig road to the place where they are now.
Their food is really delicious up to standard.
Lydia’s service is marvellous!
I will def come here again!
I ordered a lobster bisque and seafood truffle cream pasta. The food was great as it was very flavorful. They were also generous with the ingredients as there was a large amount of prawns and a big crayfish.
Besides the food, the staff were also very friendly and the atmosphere made the place feel very cosy
Best pasta I’ve ever had. Tiramisu was amazing too.
Awesome food and lovely friendly service. The pizza and tiramisu are to die for, and their drinks selection is super interesting with flavoured coffee (tiramisu, creme brulee, lavender, gingerbread) alcoholic coffee, plus vietnamese coconut coffee. And chili hot chocolate!
Authentic Italian pastas, risottos and pizzas which tasted nothing short of amazing. What was even more amazing was the service team who were highly attentive throughout the night with constant check-ins on our group. Shout out to Lydia, Evis and Eric for their impeccable service and warm hospitality. Lady boss was also enthusiastic in recommending good dish selections and specials!
- Group chilling at the rooftop bar
Pasta Brava & Sofi Keto Cafe, An Italian Restaurant which has a rich 32 years of history in Singapore. Will definitely come again next time.🤗 atmosphere is conducive, service is great and attentive, authentic Italian cuisine. Excellent place for hosting your important guests and yet great to bring family for a hearty gathering.🥰 Love it!
Super great service and food! Tried the sautéed prawn appetizer, squid ink pasta and the beef ravioli. They were all really delicious! The acai bowl was just alright tho
Spent my birthday here. Love the team. Excellent service. Love the the food here especially the squid ink pasta. Loving it.
Amazing food and even better service! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The meatballs are definitely recommended as well as many types of pizza which are all fabulous
- certainly Italian style! Also the meatballs are Devine! ++ would recommended!
Had the Linguine Regina Del Mare - linguine with seafood and tomato sauce. Very tasty and could only wish there was more. Also had the Apple Speculoos Dessert.
Service was good and prompt - Evis was very attentive.
The shop has a homely and calm atmosphere. The location is great and you can see Maxwell Hawker Center below.
The employees work hard and I have a good impression of them. It's very fast.
As for the food, the taste was okay, but the display was not good enough. Especially the bruschetta feels lonely.
The wine is about twice the market price, so it's a little expensive. If you're looking forward to wine, this may not be the place to visit.
The squid ink pasta was very delicious.
Great discovery.
Thank you again for accepting us at such a late hour, the kitchen closed after our order was served.
The dishes were very good.
A small downside is the price, but we are in Singapore, so no surprise.
I got in in the evening without a reservation. You can choose the amount of wine, so it's easy to order. The clerk was also cheerful and pleasant.
All staff are friendly.
The pasta is so delicious.
I had calamari, gamberi, and garlic bread as appetizers and it was really delicious.
I ordered risotto with meat, stracci al gamberi pasta, vongole alio olio pasta, and lamb rack, and there wasn't a single thing that wasn't delicious.
I recommend Lava cake.
It's definitely a good restaurant except that the place is a bit small.
The food is delicious and the staff are good cooks and do a good job 😊 Pasta brava is the best..
Pasta, pizza, classic Italian, delicious.
