Reviews of Peach Garden @ Thomson Plaza
Visited Thomson Plaza peach garden recently. The variety of dim sum on offer was impressive and the food was good. The haw gao was perfectly steamed with juicy prawns. Overall experience was good.
Delicious dimsum! We also ordered Asparagus with scallops - really huge portion. Such a treat to eat here.
Haven't been here for the longest time. Decided to come here for dim sum with my parents and we were not disappointed. The food quality is decent to good compared to other dim sum places. For some dishes they are even on par with hotel restaurant. The waitress that served us was a lovely 77 year old aunty, Maggie. We enjoyed our dim sum!
Tasty food. Excellence service. Nice ambience. Value for money.
Good dining spot for traditional dim sum served with push cart trolley. Staff were friendly and patient waiting for us to select our dishes. Good promotion and offers for senior citizens making it a more enjoyable experience for old folks like my wife and me.
The service was great with the attentiveness of the waitress. It was just nice.
Food was yummy and well presented. However, it had been an expensive dinner.
Great food and atmosphere. Staff and service is good too.
Ok la, the value for money part of their buffet is not too shabby. Special delicious mentions:
🐟 Fried fish (soon hock?)
🦐 Drunken Prawns
🐖 Crispy Roast Pork
🌼 Osmanthus Jelly
For what you can try and enjoy it’s good. What’s not so good is that they will spend time to upsell you mooncakes and keep asking, also oddly the staff is trying to discourage us from ordering more desserts at a buffet, it’s such an odd experience to be saying this. They did clear up and hurry us away to clear for the next dinner slot which is fine too. But the rest of the experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth. You guys could do a lot better 😌
I love this place that dim sum push car can view every items. And service is very positive.
Peking Duck and Stream Grouper earn 5 stars. The rest of the dishes are average. Need improve the quality of white rice. Overall services of servers is good and respond fast. The young cashier lady is friendly and polite. Ambience is good.
Came for the buffet, 6 pax. Portion is big for all dishes. Came with free Beijing Duck. Food tastes good for most of the dishes.
Service staff were attentive and friendly.
Special compliments to Elven for leading his team to exemplary service. Will come back again!
Went on a weekend. It happened that they were running a promotion for their dim sum as well. Had their dim sum and tried 2 of their desserts. The food was pretty good. Will come again.
I have been to the restaurant a few times with my family and friends. This is a alacarte buffet with 50% discount per pax. They enjoyed the food. On 6 Nov'24 I gave a treat to my hubby sisters and brother. They love the food so much and they thanks me for bring them such a delicious restaurant. My brother-in-law intend to invite all of us plus the nieces and nephew to the same restaurant again. Thank you Peach Garden @ Thomson Plaza for not disappointed my guests
We had an enjoyable lunch here. Service was great. The staff Maggie was polite and thoughtful. Will come here again!
This place just got renovated and I think what’s different are the new TV screens and ceiling. The seating area looks very similar.
Food is good as always and the trick is to book via Eatigo to get a good discount but even then, be prepared to still pay mid to high price for dinner.
One of the last few trolley dim sums left in Singapore. The dumplings were fresh and flavorful, especially the har gao and liusa bao that was steamed upon order. Great variety, friendly service, and cozy ambiance. Highly recommend!
This is a great Cantonese restaurant. Well cooked and flavourful. The prices are reasonable and the ambience of the location excellent. The service is exceptional, friendly and helpful not to mention fast as well. It's a place that I would revisit again. Take note on week days from 3pm till 5pm the dim sum is only 50 percent.
love the view and the fish is amazing, service is great all the staff are so nice
We came to celebrate my mother in law birthday. The service far exceeded our expectations and food was excellent. Waiters Xiao Yun and Jason were super attentive and made us feel like VIP. Highly recommended.
The service is quite patchy particularly when the place is full. Their front of house also thinks it's necessary to call you incessantly to confirm a reservation that was already confirmed by Chope, and then look surprised when you actually show up without picking up any of their calls. The food is pretty average but the dim sum buffet has pretty good value. Our teapot disappeared in the middle of service and it was quite difficult to get it returned; their staff seemed rather absent-minded and probably should be retrained.
We visited Peach Garden at Thomson Plaza outlet on a public holiday for their Afternoon Tea Dim Sum Buffet (3-5pm), did a reservation hence walk-in wait was immediate. Adult price is $28.80++, child is $19.80++. Currently, there is promotion of 1 dines free with 3 paying adults. Do note that the refillable hot chinese tea ($3.80 for 1 person) is not included in the buffet charge. Every week, there will be a few Dim Sum that are different.
The must try recommendation from me will be the Steamed Siew Mai with Fish Roe, Steamed Chicken Feet with Spicy Sauce, Baked Mini Egg Tarts, Deep-fried Bean Skin with Prawn, Century Egg Porridge, Hot Greenbean Soup with Barley and Sweet Potato.
The disappointing dishes was the Roasted Crispy Peking Duck, it was not crispy and dry. The Steamed Dumpling in Spicy Sauce had way too much vinegar in it, couldn't taste the spiciness at all.
IMO the staff and service here is friendly, worth a visit if you would like to have Dim Sum buffet style. This place is ideal for big group of family/friends but recommended to make reservation as the day I visited, they were full house, and there was a last order cut off at 4.15-4.25pm.
First time here for a weekday lunch and surprised by the crowd! Food was mostly good. Enjoyed the carrot cake and fried ee Fu noodles the most. Chicken was standard and duck was good except some parts were too gamey.
We booked a private room at this outlet. Michelle, a staff here was exceptional with her service and take great pride in her work. Food was great but she made our experience special as we were celebrating my grandparents' birthdays! Thank you Michelle and team for making this celebration a special one!
Here's a short statement you could use:
We had a wonderful experience at Peach Garden, Thomson Plaze, for my dad's birthday celebration. The food was amazing, and a special thanks to Mr. Simon Hoe, the Assistant Manager, for his exceptional attention to detail. He introduced the perfect dishes, making the occasion even more memorable. Thank you for the excellent service!
Dinner buffet@50% was well worth it!
Celebrated my friend's birthday last night. The waiter Ah Kai was was attentive and service was good. Food i would say some are good some are just so so. Environment well, it was good that we dined at inside a room but because some other diners have kids, the kids were crying and it was quite unpleasant.
Very crowded and definitely needs reservations. Place is a little warm not sure if air conditions are faulty as the unit above me was dripping. Food wise was great. Most food served are hot. Dim sum as a good variety to choose from just that there is no menu. You have to order or ask or wait for the waitresses to tell you what they have on the carts. All in all the dim sum are delicious. Did not try the ala carte menu. Probably next time. Worth coming back for the food... but... please fix the air con!
Love the friendly aunts there. They really give their best to serve us. The dimsum is really legitimate. Almost everything is amazing. Hot favourites are 红油抄手, truffle dumpling, carrot cake and the Har Kow. Tea is great too. The food is too nice that we forget to take photo and there is discount too.
Very good food as usual but the menu prices are exorbitant. TIP: you can easily locate 50% off deals that can be used at this restaurant 🙃 so never pay full price as it’s not worth it. They also currently offer AYCE lunch and dinner a la carte buffet options if your party has 4 or more adults; the weekend early morning dimsum AYCE is also very reasonable at about $14 per person. I absolutely love their BBQ delights (roast honey pork and suckling pig) and the deep fried prawn in wasabi sauce is to die for. Would have given 5 stars if the regular menu prices were more reasonable. NOTE: (rather hefty) extra charges for tea, peanuts and towelettes.
Afternoon Tea Dim Sum Buffet with colleagues and friends.
We were late as we were caught in the rain, the staff was kind enough to give us a call to see if we were still coming.
Food was warm or hot when served to us.
In my personal opinion their quality of food were above average despite being a buffet.
We especially like their 北京鸭, 红油抄手,明虾饺,烧卖,虾饺,附皮卷,蛋挞,药材虾,凤爪, Ee Fu Noodles and many more
Service was a delight, the aunties were joking with us while serving us food. More like our mum worried that we might be hungry upon arrival and seated.
They recommended all the dishes when we are enjoying our meal and i would definitely say none of the dishes were disappointing.
Best of all, they let us order what we want and the amount of quantity even when we were told some of the items out and have to be made again.
Feel overpriced for the food we are served.
Standard is not as good anymore.
Also don't understand why they serve the peanut delicacy which is like for praying to the deceased.
This place has good food and comfortable seatings. The menu can be quite limited during festive season and the price are quite expensive. Overall the food is good and service is not bad. Good for having family gathering!
Great experience at Peach Garden Thomson Plaza earlier for my dad’s birthday for buffet dinner. Food was good and they were also consistently asking for feedback to improve. Given free Shou tou for my dad’s birthday. Thank you.
The handsome manager - Jorden did a good job and deserved a 👍
will be back again👌
Good a la carte buffet that has a promotional price of 50% off for parties with 4 or more people. Choice of dishes was sufficiently wide, and portions were quite large.
Must haves: steamed fish, lemongrass dessert (to cut through the fried foods), drunken prawn, fried chicken, broths
Skip: wasabi prawn (got "jelat" quite quickly), fried eggplant (not well seasoned)
Tea was fairly pricey at $4.20 per pax.
Came here during lunch enjoying the Tim sum promo. Tim sum is really nice! And I enjoy the ambiance and service is awesome. Very attentive!
Food was good, is very worth it for the price. But portion was too huge, would be better if some can be cut by half.
CNY 2020 menu. They had taken out the $88 menu without notice. Left with the cheapest $118++ menu and above. Food is still generally ok. Charged the kids same price for tea as adult from the same pot. That's quite ex. Pre-dinner snacks was at $8 per plate. That's very ex ....
Went for the dinner buffet. Food was ok..the prawns were a disappointment, not the freshest.. the rest were ok. The waiter and waitress that served us were efficient and kind.
However there is no control at the front. When patrons cut queue, the host didn't care and just served the one that cut queue. Very disappointing.
Very good food and atmosphere. Manager Simon Hoe very good at recommending food. Especially the shark cartilage soup and kurobuta pork cube.
My family had our dinner here over the cny period (初七). We were informed by staff that the eatigo discount could be applied to ala carte items. I thought the food was delicious, and appreciated having a vegetarian option for yu sheng.
There were hits and misses from previous visits, but we enjoyed our dinner very much this evening and are more open to visiting this branch again. Kudos to the hardworking staff who delivered fast and friendly service during a busy season.
Went there for Eatigo 50% off deals which really a good deal given a 4stars as the fish was recommended by the staffs tat cos UP: of $100over after a 50% still got to cost us at least a $60++ and not gonna recommend it as u could get about 3 whole fish from other decent restaurant at the price u paid for the rest was soso not a wow given a 4stars due to the atmosphere as well as the great discount 😁👍🏻 service was up to standard for a restaurant like this.
Have been going here since my childhood and the food and service has been consistently excellent.
Tried their special offer of $5 Beijing duck. The rest of the duck was fried with ee fu noodles and was really tasty. The other dishes we ordered were enjoyed by all, especially the eggplant fried with pork floss.
Food is great and service is excellent, esp Angeline is very attentive and helpful.
Great dim sum selection
The dinning environment has been revamped. Perfect dim sum comfort food, with soft Christmas carols in the background. Love the pot of tea and the attentive service.
The food is excellent here. Well serve by Maggie and Angeline
Be reminded only 6 types of dim sum we're available during CNY. The dim sum are good in quality and quantity e.g. prawn dumping and abalone siu mah. Ambient environment, Good service attitude but need more service training.
Will come again on normal week days.
A very nice place for dinner. Celebrate our 1st day of the year. Great place with friendly waiters.
Food is nice but price is abit pricey.
Friendly staff, avoid their peak hours. There is vegetarian menu. Famous for their dim sum buffet.
My wife and I enjoyed the $2/= lobster noodles very much
I am from Malaysia~Johor Bahru, and today is my first time to dine at Peach Garden Thomson Plaza.
I would recommend you to eat their dim sum, which is delicious👍🏻Chicken feet, Xiao Long Bao, Taro Pork Ribs, and Dongpo Pork Steamed Buns.
The environment there is clean and comfortable.
I was also impressed by the waiter Simon Hoe, who introduced and explained each dish very carefully, and also talked to us interestingly. Let's have a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for your hard work❤️
On Wednesday, my friends and I went to Peace Garden located in Thomson Plaza for snacks. We ordered more than 10 types of dim sum. The steamed dim sum is very steamy when the lid is opened, and the fried dim sum is very crispy and delicious. The carrot cake with XO sauce tastes great, and we all like the shrimp balls, double-flavored salted egg and mustard. The beauty and nourishing shrimp ball braised Yi noodles also tastes very good. Finally, the poplar nectar dessert and sweet-scented osmanthus cake were also super delicious😋. The managers and waiters here are very professional and friendly. When we finally paid, we took out our ID card number and saw "2", and it was really great to get a 50% discount on all snacks. We decided to come back to Peace Garden Thomson Plaza next week.
The dim sum is delicious, very cost-effective, and the environment is OK. It is close to the Upperthomson subway station. Will come again
The food is good, served quickly, and the staff is friendly.
The dim sum used to be delicious, but now it may be made in a central kitchen and is not as good. Some handmade snacks are still advisable.
The dim sum is delicious and the staff are friendly.
The food is delicious and very filling. Worth trying❤️
