We have recently visited the restaurant twice since their announcement of absorbing the GST and service charges. The food is good and consistent, and the staff service is excellent. This time we ordered the hairy crabs and the staff, LiHong, even offered to cut the crabs as we are struggling with how to eat the crabs. We will definitely come back again.

Putien has consistently provided exceptional service, despite their already reasonable prices, and they’ve recently removed the service charge. They treat every customer like royalty, always going above and beyond expectations. For example, when I requested lime at their Kitchener Road location, the staff went out of their way to cut some for me, even though they don’t typically offer it to customers. The only reason I’m rating the food 4/5 is that I don’t eat pork, and their menu is quite pork-heavy. I would appreciate it if their seafood noodle soup was not pork-based. Currently, while there is a seafood option, it’s mixed with pork. It would be perfect for people like me if there were a seafood option without any pork. Otherwise, their service and value are outstanding, and their standards should be a benchmark for other establishments.

First time celebrating birthday at Putien. Though there is no parking lots nearby, we easily accessed the restaurant with valet service. The food was delicious though some portion was smaller than expected. My children enjoyed the authentic pu tien food as well! The manager, Yan Cheng and the staff, Ah Lian served us very well. A special thanks for Ah Lian who served us attentively. It was a surprise to end our meal with complimentary fruits other than singing a bd song.

We were served by Gui Ying. Most of us are 1st time visiting and she was patiently introduced each dish and explained. Which mades us feel welcome and comfortable. We celebrated 3 birthdays, cakes and fruits platter were on the house! We had ordered joyous set for 10 pax, worth it!

What an incredible experience! The food here was incredible! Very different tastes from the typical Chinese food. All the dishes where very well prepared and served. All the staff was extremely attentive to us. Also the environment is very nice. The food here is TOP. I had probably the best soup of my life ( Golden broth Buddha jumps over the wall). Every dish we tried had something different, a new touch that one rarely finds. For instance, desert with Dorian fruit that for a European it is tough to find. Very good prices also for a * Michelin. Definetely recommended!

This outlet, will be my first choice for dining in my future with my family(yesterday went with my wife and 2 daughter) Friendly front desk staff, serve me with smile and polite attitude. Ah Lian (I addressed her as 蓮姐）taking order and serve our table. I can feel she is quite friendly as some of customer really close with her. This outlet selling service first before we taste the food. Special food presentation at this outlet make us surprise. Overall food standard was great. I've checked the information and will bring my parents for dinner in future. The only disadvantage is the parking space, end up we parked at city square mall and walk there. Great work to all of staff at this branch. Keep it up.

Excellent Michelin rated Fujian food!!! We love everything we ordered, especially the Red Mushroom Seafood Lor Mee, Crispy Oysters, and their homemade hot sauce. The servers were all very attentive and helpful; Fanny especially stood out as she helped us with the selection.

I have had Putien a couple of times but everything just hit different in this outlet. The chefs are really good at bringing out the natural taste of the ingredients and every dish is so well seasoned. Truly deserving of the Michelin star! Service wise, the wait staffs are really attentive. I dropped 1 of my chopsticks and they spotted it really quickly and brought me a new one. Do visit them if you are looking for quality food and comfortable dining experience.

For people who drive and live near kitchener Road, it's very convenient to pick up grab orders from Putien. They have people stationed outside the shop. I stopped by car along the roadside, wind down my window and told him the order number, and he retrieved it for me.

We had the Bian Ru soup, (mini dumpling so cute and tasty. Soup was incredible) Braised beancurd with Chinese Cabbage soup (refreshing in its own way, the cabbage is so well braised. Green and soft yet slight crunch) deep Fried Yellow Croaker Fish (this is really heavenly. The fish is very tender yet fresh. The skin was very crispy) Traditional Bean Curd Stew with egg (It is a very interesting dish how they blend the beancurd and eggs together with a little yet beautifully sufficient clear vermicelli) Crispy Oyster (so good and crispy. Reminds me of childhood) Claypot Braised Abalone & Pork (this is so so so well braised, very tender and soft. We loved it so much that we scoop the sauce into the noodles too) Ca Ren (Mee Sue) (love the way they balanced the noodles with the ingredients of scallop, intestines, spring onions) Steamed Hairy Crab. We were extremely impressed by the food quality and the tastes. Every bite, every mouthful was so good. I especially love it when all the food served were extremely hot and stayed hot for a long time. All the ingredients were well done. I love it so much. It's never salty or oily like other Chinese restaurants. We tasted the ingredients perfectly as they were. They would also change the plates and bowls when needed. But the star right there was our server LiHong. I cannot speak mandarin well, she would try to fill in with English words for me to enable me to understand. Greatest of all was she was a very warm, friendly and kind person. She was very sweet towards my children. My children ate the hairy crabs too. She saw that the crabs were not eaten optimally and she found them; informed us adults so that they will not go to waste, and we savour the last bits of the crabs. During order taking, she did caution us not to over order, which is extremely discerning of her. Advised us to order again if needed to. True enough, we did struggle to finish the food. My daughter had me write this because she said she has never seen any person who loves her job so much and does it with such a humble pride. It is inspiring for us, especially the children. Having pride for one's work is something that we all should have & can learn from. LiHong truly prove this. She made our visit and meal the best! A special mention to the lady at the counter with black and purple shade hair. She was a sport and fun for my family when we were doing the lucky draw. Rarely a restaurant visit is made so special and enjoyable in a lighthearted way, but this surely made the cut.

The staff and service was excellent. Free valet parking service is available (have to pay parking). Food was pretty good, with many hits. The below is from those that I ordered. The fried oyster and the lychee pork is very normal. Nice dishes are the bittergourd with honey, the 100 second stewed yellow croaker, the sesame pork bun, the pork trotters, the abalone and of course, the yam.

Amazing food and at a very reasonable price considering they have been awarded three Michelin stars! I treated myself to lunch here and had some beans and drunken cockles to start. The beans were simple but had nice flavor and were very good dipped in a little of the sweet chili sauce they have here. The cockles were the perfect balance of sweet, spicy and savory and with a bunch of garlic! I was surprised at how many came with the order. J didn't count how many were there, but it had to be at least three dozen. I had a bayberry tea with frozen berry cubes to drink. For my main dish I had the stewed sweet potato noodles. The taste was phenomenal and was a wonderful pairing of flavors. It was savory with a perfect balance of sweetness and again I was surprised at the large portion size for the price as I had only ordered a small. For dessert I had the lotus seed with white fungus soup which was very delicious. I savored every last bite of my meal and left feeling very satisfied without feeling overly full or heavy. All together my bill only came to $38 SGD. I was very impressed with the meal, the service and the still very reasonable pricing. It is easy to see why they have been awarded a Michelin star for the last three years in a row!

My mom brought her childhood friends here as they haven’t met in a long while. The ambience was classy, and lent a good environment for they to catch up. Food was clean-tasting, delicious and hearty. Putien outlets are good but somehow the Kitchener branch always stands out from the others. Service is impeccable with the staff (Gui Ying, who’s warm, friendly and knowledgeable) introducing the new dishes. The fact that 9% GST and 10% service charge are absorbed by the organisation while standards are maintained across the board deserve a very big thumbs up. Everyone had a great time and it is very much worth the value.

Have been eating Putien since it’s lor mee was $8, have not tried it after it increased in price until recently it got its Michelin Star. When I entered waitress would ask for allergies. We ordered the pea shoot (dou miao) on the recommendation from the waitress. The belachan on the pea shoot is not too overpowering, just to give a crispy pea shoot with a flavory belachan and a bland after taste. The lor mee would be better if there were more clams. The batang fish is the best in the area, the texture of the fish is very consistent throughout and it’s not too oily. I still can taste the sweetness of the fish when ever I bite it. The herbal jelly have a strong herbal smell that not most people can take it. Overall the experience is very good would revisit.

This branch of Putien is widely known to be the best amongst the chain, winning a Michelin star for years running. In normal times, the food and service are impeccable. However, for our 2021 reunion dinner, the service standards has really fallen short. Firstly, the dishes were all served at once (except dessert) within 10 mins of us being seated. While we understand that a CNY dinner outside is usually a rushed affair, the table really had no space for any more dishes, and we were constantly hustled to finish to make space. Next, we were asked for our credit card to settle the bill, without a chance to check it. This was about 15 mins in and barely after the food was finished serving and we have not started finishing. The old folks were understandably very upset about being pushed a bill without even starting to enjoy the dinner. This is, after all, an important family dinner at a Michelin Starred establishment where we paid over $100/head, and not some Kopitiam. We have had our reunion dinners at different establishments before, but none had ever been so rushed. At the very least, the serving of dishes was staggered such that there was a maximum of 2 at any time. To have 5 dishes served within 10 mins of being seated really sends a message for the diners to finish ASAP and f*** off. The food that evening still held up to the high standards that one has come to expect from Putien. Also, the attitudes of most of the service staff was fantastic, considering the rush and the fact that they had to be away from loved ones to work on such a special day. Speaking to some members of the staff, it was noted that they had 4 seatings of 75 mins that day, starting at 1630 and ending at 2030. Given such a busy schedule, it is no surprise that they had to in turn rush the diners so they can move on to the next groups. The decision also makes one wonder if the management is willing to give up its mission to serve up “an exceptional culinary experience to diners” to grab more money.

It's still worth a special trip to have a meal. I have eaten at this restaurant in the country and thought it tasted good. This should be their old store, with a local decoration style, unlike stores in ordinary shopping malls. The service is very good, and the whole process is in Chinese.
