Reviews of Sanook Kitchen
Was quickly attended to at the entrance. Asked female malay staff, mas if the soup base has seafood. Mas quickly asked the chef and got back to me. MY SON has allergy, so we ordered green curry for him instead. When mas saw what my son was eating, she quickly told me that the green curry too has shrimp paste. I was so thankful to Mas for being attentive and kind!! KUDOS MAS !! There was another thai staff who was friendly too.
The food was delicious! We enjoyed our dinner so much!! Very satisfied with the portion and price. Will definitely go again!!! We left the restaurant happy and full!!
absolutely fabulous. had a mini birthday lunch and they presented us with a complimentary dessert for us! what a surprise! thank you for the food and very catchy thai music. brings me back to thailand while dining there. Kudos to Tampines 1 staff managing the lunch crowd.
Huge seating space and area which I love, for a mall the pricing for the food is considered ok, food served pretty quick and the amount is pretty decent.
Free flow of ice water which i like as none of their drink options are to my liking.
Will probably return to eat if I'm craving for Thai food
Edit: visited again and had their set meal. Food is generally okay but dont think it deserves 5 star though. Will stick to my original 4 stars. This place gets really crowded in the evening btw!
Tried their seafood hotpot. Good for about 2-3 pax. Seafood was fresh, soup was not too bad. Just that i hope it was more spicy rather than sweet, but good for those who cant take spicy.
Every table wee saw they serve a bowl of popcorn with the menu.
We didn’t get!, so the service is not standard.
Food taste not so bad.
Atmosphere looks clean and good.
Had a big spread of dishes
Clear Tom yum soup is highly recommended for people with flu. Seafood phad Thai was a tad sweeter. Honey chicken and basil minced chicken were very good.
The mango sticky rice dessert was ok albeit too much coconut cream turned the dish bland. Something different in a negative sense which I couldn’t decipher.
Staff was polite and paying attention to guests Dishes arrived on time. Both not usually found in Thai places..
AVOID TYE FRIED CHICKEN WING IF THE STUFFED WING IS UNAVAILABLE
Do visit…
Always loved the food here, quality is consistent and staff are always welcoming. Will be back again 🫶🏽
Really goood food, fresh food and the service is very fast. Price point is economical.. only thing is their spring rolls are extremely oily! Didn’t like it otherwise food is on point and spicy tangy. They give free popcorns for kids too that is really nice.. Our favourites are basil chicken, tom yum, mango salad, thai milk tea and thai coconut curry. 😋
3.5 stars
I’ve eaten at this chain in the past (y’know before inflation moved in) and I remember the food being quite amazing and affordable. now I’m not sure if the either are exactly true.
because of our new roommate inflation, everything basically value-added $2-$1, which lead to an average price per meal of around $8-$10. It’s not exorbitant, but the food isn’t all that amazing either. The pad thai was quite average and the Tom Yum soup was decent (though the chicken was a little tough). Thai-milk tea is as per usual!
Service is really friendly though, so bonus points for that.
- a broke student
Excellent place for Thai food lovers. The food tastes great and the ambience is excellent! The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Good thai food!
Place is clean
Will definitely come back
Ok ok only. I didn't give 5 stars because I found the food portion to be rather small compared to the price. They serve halal Thai food.
Loved the vegetarian sticky rice noodles. Missed the red ruby dessert though :) Lovely staff. Decent ambience. Quite a few options for vegetarians!
I love the free popcorn, it's a pretty good pre-appetiser to the main meals more over their service is quite consistent island wide so it's great
Superb food and the staff here are really polite. Authentic Thai food and hospitality.
Must Try Dishes
Thai Chendol
Tom Yum Soup
Fried Chicken with Thai Herb
Stir-Fry Kang Kong
Aroy Ti Sud (Excellent).... Number 1... 👍🏻
Delicious and decent portion, clean and cosy ambience, good service and friendly staffs.
Good place to crave authentic thai foods. Easy ordering system using qr code scan. Food taste was good and portions are Ok. Worth for the price.
Visited the place for a late lunch and we were catered immediately. You can choose from a menu paper showing food list with price, and a 👍🏻 for recommended/must-try ones.
We ordered mostly the recommended ones since it was our first time there. The Pad Thai Noodle, Chicken Stir-fried with Cashew Nut, Papaya salad, Mango Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk, and Iced Green Milk Tea. They served the drinks first followed by other orders, and have an option for the dessert to be served later.
The food’s taste and presentation were good, and the price was considerably fine per individual serving. Will surely come back here!😋
The food is really good. I really like mango salad, it tastes great
Good service ivy delicious food I love tampines1
Great food! Friendly staff. Quick service! Not to mention a great view of the Jewel.
Staff IVY gave me an excellent service .Syabas !!! IVY will be a great asset to this company
Love the attitude from Joanne, always giving us a huge smile
Food are delicious. Ambience is nice. Friendly service. Great experience. Satisfied! Recommended.
Nice thai food! Chicken Tom Yum was nice.
Thanks to Joanne for the good service. Food also good as usual.
Great service by Joanne, atmosphere was great and food came fast
the food very nice,, also the service by marcella very lovely..will come again to enjoy this kind of treat.
Joanne was fast and very helpful in the service and answered all our questions.
Takeaway 2 years ago: Personally I love the thai green beef curry but I feel like there should be more vegetable options, don't just limit to Kangkong, mixed vegetables...
UPDATE: I ate at this restaurant for dinner yesterday. Service was slow. I had already finished my Thai milk tea before I got the main course. The prawn omelette was oily that day, the kailan was ok, so was the crispy squid but not a big fan of the chili sauce. I love the Thai green chicken curry. Again, price was reasonable
One of the nicer Sanook Kitchen i ever ate. The ambience is pretty chill.
Food is always good during the times I patronise Sanook. Also, I dont have to wait too long for the food to arrive. Always a pleasant experience at Sanook (Tampines 1) :)
Food is very goof
Joanne - Very good and fast and kind
We had a delightful time here at Sanook. The ambiance is warm and the food was great! Especially the Deep Fried Sea Bass with Thai Sauce and the SuperBowl’s gravy was very tasty.
ivy very good service so kind and smiles alot!
Green curry is worth trying! Awesome
The food was amazing and although it was a peak period, it didn’t take long for the service crew to get us seated. Very friendly service crew as well :)
Your staff IVY at the Tampines 1 branch was very helpful. It was during busy lunch hour but she was taking the effort to keep checking on everyone’s order and identify which orders were taking a long time to come. I can see that she and the rest of your staff are very diligent workers that deserve commendation
Good food, atmosphere is nice and cozy
Food is good, especially the prawncake. However the desserts are so-so, too much ice in the chendol.
The worst thing about the visit is the ambience. Lots of screaming kids, and the place is really packed, cramped and loud + it feels like the ventilation isn't good. Nothing to do with the staff, they're just trying their best, always serving with a smile despite the noise and huge crowd.
Went down on a friday afternoon and really enjoyed myself. The stuff was super friendly and would definitely bring my family down again! KEEP UP THE GREAT SERVICE!
Quality of food at Sanook is always consistent and service is always so friendly! Dishes are cooked well - not too oily or spicy.
One of the yummiest tom yums I’ve ever tried
Had my department lunch there with 15 others. Nothing special. A typical Thai food outlet upgraded to be like a restaurant... but not there yet. Food and taste was just ok, ok. I have had better Thai food in neighbourhood coffee shops.Nothing worth mentioning.
Quick service ,serve food fast & hot. We celebrated birthday here and staff were so attentive.
Food very yummy and service very fast❤️
If you like VERY spicy food, this is the place 😬
Frequent the various Sanook outlets quite often and the food is always nice. Plus, the staff are really attentive and friendly! :)
Food was nice. Steam fish a bit fishy as it’s fresh water fish. Fried vege and egg are nice
I had a great experience at Sanook Tampines 1. The staff was friendly and patiently and homely actually. Frankly the food was ok but your service was awesome. Especially so to Ashraf (hope I got his name right) who handles the cashier at the time ( 27th April 2022 at 6.30pm )It was busy as it was dinner time but he took time to help us take a pic when my son requested n it’s not once that I asked for him but twice. He served us with a smile. Thumbs up to Ashraf and staff but this not be possible without a great management. Kudos to you!
Most of the dishes here are decent. One dish that stood out the most in particular was the Fried Thai Fish! Had a good time enjoying it for its size and its taste. The rest of the dishes were not too bad but not amazing!
First time trying sanook. Read about the mixed reviews, wasn't sure if we would be lucky tonight.
We wanted a light dinner and ordered for 2 pax..appetizers, stir fried vegetables and soup; chili tofu, mango salad, seafood yum Woon sen, Thai style kangkong and clear seafood Tom yum soup, 2 drinks and 1 serving of rice.
5 minutes into waiting time, the stir fried vegetables came thru, the stir fry kangkong was basic. The shock was the portion size. It was not a set menu, it was ala carte. The portion was clearly a serving for one. I asked the service crew if there was a mistake, the dish went away and came back with a portion size for 1.5 pax.
Next came the soup, it was delish, again the portion size, ala carte, 1xprawn + 2 slices of fish + plenty of straw mushrooms.
40 minutes into waiting time, I waived to the service crew and asked for the appetizers and tofu. 5 mins, then it appeared. Our expectations probably killed the standards of the food.
Total price paid for the food, was considerably more than the Set menu for 2pax at $38.20 before tax and service charge.
Increasingly, such experiences are very disappointing, makes me wonder if I am paying for food and rental. Service is absent. But my invoice includes service tax. Shrinkflation seems to be pandemic.
Perhaps the crew is doing their best to provide adequate service. But to return is to risk the same receiving the same fate.
Would you return? If you do, go for the set and avoid ala carte.
Good service from ivy food very nice I will bring my friends to come back again
Very polite customer service her name is Joanne in Tampines one
When I crave for Thai food (and there's not many halal options in my area), I'd go to Sanook Kitchen. The food is nice, the staffs are great (albeit at times slow due to peak hours, but they're always very attentive). Always a delight to dine in here. Would recommend a visit (or multiple) for good halal Thai food.
Great place for Japanese Food
very delicious will return
New place in Tampines1 so far all food ordered is good & tasty.
Delicious. Never could have just 1 plate of rice whenever I visit Sanook, yummy that I kept wanting to eat more. Clear tomyum soup was good. Had the $38.90 set meal with fried fish, clear tomyum soup and a vegetable dish, this meal able to cater for 3 pax. The sauce and dressing in the fried fish dish was full of flavour.👍
A little bit ex but the green curry is super tasty and the rice portion is too small. Only 4 stars due not many desserts to choose from too.
Thai food nice I love it
Food was excellent.Service crew was attentive, friendly and fast.(they are smiling always which is good)Keep up with the good service Sanook.Well done!!!
Food very good 😋 customer service excellent 👍
The food are good but waited for the food to be served fully took about almost half an hour.
The staff are extremely friendly. The food is very delicious.
Correct Thai food in Singapore🥰
Delicious Thai is the best, deliciously spicy.
❤️
Frequest customer to sanook. Great food and one of the best tom yam I've tasted. Tampines one is probably the best sanook outlet. Great service from current outlet supervisor Ivy!
