Delicious food prepared by Gerald and his team!
Wonderful hospitality service by Anne and Timothy!
My colleagues and I will be back again and again - next time for the Porchetta and Sticky pork ribs!
Visited for a private event. Had also done so a few years ago. Glad to see that their focus remains the same and the attention they pay to good service and delicious food. Call in advance to make a booking to support this social enterprise.
Ordered grilled salmon and it was wonderfully done. The salmon was served freshly baked, skin was crispy while the meat was grilled to perfection, keeping the tenderness and juiciness. The restaurant is also open for events booking, very good for private team lunches. Great food for great cause!
Pleasant ambience with delightful food cooked with much thought! Fresh ingredients with nice garnishing! The lunch set comes with tea and a delicious walnut brownie !
Really awesome place w great food and ambience. My hubs and I were very impressed w the oxtail goulash - so much that we even asked to takeaway 2 more sets home! The people there were very lovely and friendly too. Highly recommended!
Stumbled upon this lovely restaurant while at Enabling Village yesterday and best of all, it's a social enterprise which employs special needs adults.
The food was really yummy and there's a different set menu daily; we had pumpkin soup, roast chicken leg with walnut pesto & pomegranate, pear tart/salted caramel brownie and coffee.
The host, Anne, was really warm and friendly, along with the lovely waitstaff. I hope to be back soon :)
Soul Food exemplifies the kind of initiative our society truly needs – a heartwarming dedication to nurturing differently abled children, empowering them to flourish independently. This remarkable establishment not only supports a noble cause but also offers outstanding value for money, providing meals crafted from premium ingredients, completely devoid of any shortcuts or low-quality fillers. Compliments to Chef Gerald for his culinary prowess, Anne for her wonderful contributions, and Cheryl, the beacon of warmth and dedication at Soul Food. It's not just a restaurant; it's a haven with a purpose, where every bite tells a story of inclusion and excellence.
The food is amazing. The Duck confit and mushroom soup set were delicious (served on Tues into further notice) and the duck was prepared excellently, prob can compare to those 5-star restaurants in the taste, quality and plating aesthetic. The service was great! Under the guidance of Anne, the wait staff were attentive and very helpful, knew what to do and when. The chef came out to explain the dishes, and everyone was basically so cheerful, which made for a lovely and relaxed lunch ambience. Would definitely go again soon, and I highly recommend this place to everyone!
It was my first time heading there not expecting much. The ambient and vibe were cool, but looks pretty standard. The waiters and some stuff are those with special needs, yet they did an excellent job in serving. Good way to provide opportunities and new experiences for customers too. The food? It was so good I was super shocked. It tasted exquisite and almost like fine dining. However not 5 stars because of very short opening hours (12-2pm) and also you do not have options to select from menu. What you eat depends on what is served that day, and it's very specific.
Excellent tasting food and very good service .$30nett for 3 course with focaccia bread and butter served and with choice of illy coffee or Clipper tea is really reasonable pricing. Highly recommended !
Came for dinner with a group of 18 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. And for a good cause as well. Have a chat with the proprietor to learn the story behind this establishment.
Simple dishes with good quality, and the most important, a good cause. Recommended to set up your moral compass listening to the manager of the place while enjoying a nice meal.
Delicious food, cosy atmosphere.
Excellent food and service.
Enjoy a wonderful meal and feel good doing it. Why would you go anywhere else?
Really good food! And great initiative as well, to train and hire people with special needs:)
