Use to dine here but today there are new dishes at 20% discount. The crab meat toufu and honey ginger chicken very good. Soup of the day also good. Services also good. Staff very attentative. Like it. Will come again to try the new dishes.

Join the long queue if you didn't make reservations early enough. Pleasant bilingual service. First serving of mantou took more than half an hour to arrive but the second serving which we ordered when the first arrived, came 5 minutes after. The ginger fried rice was the best dish we had. Fragrant and something different from the usual yang chow fried rice. The long beans was cooked properly so it didn't squeak when eaten. Samsui chicken came with a generous serving of ginger. Tofu was a bit well done on the bottom but the crisp exterior housed silky smooth tofu. Tomato egg was a favourite too. Belacan chilli kang kong was not as spicy as expected, was sweeter than normal.

Is good to have a room for small group gathering. Staffs are friendly, food are nice, especially the white chicken with ginger sauce, taste yummy 😋

Went on a weekday evening, restuarant now so packed. Their signature samsu chicken and sambar potato leave is recommended. The single person serving of clay pot rice is not really nice and not value for money. Restuarant should at least serve a glass if plain water if guest do not wish for tea.

Ordered 2 set meals for 2 tables of 8. Service very underwhelming. Had to approach staff for service. No auto refill of tea - have to call for it. No change of plates considering we had fish n prawns in the set meal. Totally no customer service. Not sure if I will go back.

I love their Samsui Chicken. The meat is tender and its goes well with the ginger paste. The rest of the stuff we ordered is just average. Their sweet Sour pork - portion is small for the price. The Venison dish is too salty. The lotus root soup is a bit watered down. I will go back to have their Samsui chicken again and try their other chef's recommendation. Service staff is helpful and attentive.

It's my second time to visit this restaurant. Samsui chicken is always a must-try - the chicken is fresh and the signature ginger sauce is authentic. The service is also great. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because the soup is a bit pricy ($16.9 for middle portion excluding GST, but the taste and the meat texture is awesome).

I went there last year with three other. We ordered an entire set meal for 4 people for around 200 over dollars. I think there were lots of food at there and we almost cannot eat finish. What's good about the place is that they allowed their customers to stay for as long as possible. We stayed at there talking for around 4 hours. The place have nice decoration and we sat at a table near the window. When the food came, some were nice but some don't seem to be cook properly. The chicken in the soup was hard and very dry. Balance of flavor on each dish is not really good. Standard is mild level but they skill keep it. Restaurant don't really have the image of its original culinary skills. I don't really recommend this place for the food because I think it is a waste of money over there. but if u are going for group meetings which will stay at a certain place for a long time, I think this will be the place. It is also near the mrt station by the way. Thank you.

This was my first visit to the Soup Restaurant in a few years. The food did not disappoint and most importantly, great service (by server Ms Luvern) made our evening. Luvern was approachable, prompt and attentive to our needs. Look forward to our next visit.

Soup Restaurant has a variety of options. They can also make several dishes vegetarian upon request. The Samsui Ginger Chicken was good. The chicken pieces were tender. It was even better when the chicken was topped with the ginger and wrapped with the lettuce. The Blackpepper Venison was also good. The meat was very tender and the sauce was quite strong in flavor. The Ginger Onion Fish Slices was also good. The fish meat was cooked well (still flaky and not dry). The seasoning was also good. The Tomato Egg was also good. The sauce had more prominent sweet flavor with some tanginess to it. The egg was also still quite runny.

Staff was quite slow in response. Took more than 10 mins to get us a second helping of ginger for the samsui chicken. Not sure if they were reluctant to provide, maybe one plate of chicken can only have 1 portion of the ginger? Table setting was slow.

Contrary to its English name, this branch restaurant doesn't only have soup in its menu. It is a Chinese restaurant serving dishes with a local flavour. Its popular dish is the Samsui chicken which is a garlic sauce with chicken and cabbage wrap. Prepare for long queues mostly during dinner times. $20 per pax would suffice for a good meal. Go for the free flow tea.
