First time trying this Korean joint and was very impressed with its banchan offering but even more so with the quality of its bbq meat. What made the experience even better was the quality of service from Honey. Honey was impeccable and the quality of her grilling skills rivaled those ahjumma that I experienced while living in Seoul. I also love that they offer 4 condiments to go with the meat. This included freshly grated wasabi, sea salt, samjang and mustard. I can’t wait to be back to try the non-bbq stuff 👍👍👍

The place was quite empty when we arrive for lunch on a public holiday. We were given a mall room for five of us. It was quite squeezy and the table was too small for our food. The food was quite good especially the barbeque meat. The ginseng chicken soup was not intense with very light in ginseng flavour. The pancake was good. The kimchi soup was much better. Limited range of banchan even though it was free flow. The service was good and responsive.

My first time visit Story One. We had a wonderful time at Story One. Food was delicious , the service was very good. Staff Xiao Chuang (Michael), young guy his service was very good. He also helped us to grill the meat and the meat was juicy and tender. The side dishes were very good too. We loved the Spicy Cold Noodles. The ambience is very comfy and smokeless. After meal, we don’t smell like just finished a BBQ session. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and I will definitely go back to them again.

I love the banchan here so much I would pay to bring some home. At first I was disappointed that japchae wasn’t on the menu, but turns out it was given free as a side dish! The staff here grill the meat for you, and we tried the beef striploin and pork collar - both were tasty and tender. We don’t recommend the kimchi pancake here though. It was mostly fried flour, slightly hard and we could barely find any kimchi inside. Would still return for the meat and banchan anyways!

We chance upon this place whiie looking for a saturday night family dinner venue. Earlier reviews were great for both the food and atmosphere. And boy they arent WRONG ! Having made reservations, we were quickly shown to our table and the BanChan came almost immediately. Service was prompt and orders taken. We gone for the Beef-Pork set and having the BBQ-ing done by someone else is a real PLUS. Not to mention its done on a charcoal grill with little smoke escaping from the U-shaped exhaust duct, a very interesting design indeed. The meats are matching to its price. A must mention is the Kimchi pancake, one of the crispiest i have tried in SG. Overall, this is not the usual K-BBQ, a more atas version indeed. The overal experience is enjoyable and would call for a return visit to try the rest of the menu items.

I Love the environment to dine here, the waitresses are super attentive, drinks and panchan are refilled without you asking, they in turn asked the customer whether you want a refill. Thumbs up for this top service mentality. Food tastes great its just in front of the big parking lot so if you are driving, it’s easier to find a parking. Aged Kurobuta really tastes good, the waitresses also cooks for us, we enjoyed it so much and would recommend people coming again.

Great food and ambience. We ordered Pork Jowl and Prime Beef Cubes for meat. On top of that, we ordered 3 soups : samgyetang, pork bone soup and the hangover soup. We also ordered vegetable pancake Staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the private room they provided us.

I was craving for gamjatang and decided to give this new restaurant a try. It was really good and the portion is huge. I also like their kimchi pancake and noodle. Everything was so good but I just hope they have better service. The service is quite slow despite the fact that they don’t have a lot of guests yet.

The quality of the meat is undoubtedly good. However, for the price paid, service was pretty bad. The restaurant was just too busy on a Friday night and the waitress had a difficult time juggling between two tables (both in the same private room) and managing the BBQ quality. Our meats were slightly burned (see the black bits, there were more but we already ate it before I remembered to take a pic) and a tad over cooked as she didn’t keep a timely eye on it. One fat piece of pork even dropped to the chair and she just said sorry and laughed it off lol.

Check out the number of Banchan!! I think this might be the place with the most variety and good quality ones too! The meat selection is also good. We went with Premium Pork Jowl and Pork Belly. It’s bbq at your table, see that gadget! Not smoky at all. Highly recommended and will return! (Had the steam egg but forgot to take photo lol)

We had a birthday celebration, a group of 8. I was very disappointed they did not inform me that it’s two tables of 4s in a room. It was hard to entertain and have good conversation with separate tables. Altho the food is great and service staff try their best to be quick, I would’ve appreciated being informed about the table arrangement. Would not have celebrated a birthday this way.

Employees are not the most attentive…we waited so long for the re-fill of the side dishes & water. + there was a cockroach that crawled onto the table. I made a fuss but the employee was like “are you ok? Maybe it came in cause it’s hot outside.” Which made me very upset...i asked to speak to the supervisor but nobody came 🤷‍♀️ But apart from that, meat was fresh and they cook it for you so no complaints there… and gamjatang is the best i have had in Singapore so far. Just that it would have been nice to see at least the manager to keep the service standards around there…

By the people from Don Dae Bak. I believe this is their higher end concept. But even at this price point it is worth it. They served 9! Delicious banchan that can be counted as a meal, interesting and tender kbbq meat compared to the joints around and the most AMAZING sundubu i had in sg, it had crab inside. Service was immaculate too. Great find.

She expertly grilled our meats to perfection and offered great pairing suggestions. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. Very good Korean restaurant with BBQ. Staff will do the BBQ for you. The exhaust system is fantastic. You don't walk out smelling like BBQ. Ban Chan is very tasty. Stew quail eggs is a must try.

2nd time here and I booked for a bd celebration and I came early. Friends were still not there. I told the lady that I forgot all abt the cake and went to buy. Left my stuff there. My gfs arrived and the nice lady told them I went toilet instead of telling them I was out. So nice of her haha! That's great service! As usual the food was fantastic and loved the side dishes! Will come back again and recommend my friends here!

This is my second visit to the restaurant in less than two weeks and the experience keeps getting better. 有惊喜 (which means got elements of surprise). (1) We were glad to see that the exquisite and unique spread of banchan (including the favourite potato pancakes) were still available for top ups. But we were pleasantly surprised by an additional two dishes of banchan, making it a perfect 10! (2) We tried the barbecued meat this time and it was served with ‘refillable’ vegetables and condiments (normal for Korean bbq). But we didn’t expect to find freshly grated wasabi as well as perilla leaves. (3) We tried the kimchi jigae last round and was one of the best we had tried. But the hangover soup hit another level and not a drop was wasted, though we couldn’t finish the generous amount of tender meat which came off easily from the bone. Waitresses remain attentive. Prices may seem a bit higher than other Korean restaurants at the first glance but it’s actually very good value for money considering the quality of food and the spread of banchan. We were there to celebrate two colleagues’ birthdays and needless to say, they were very pleased with the choice. Definitely a restaurant that we would like to stay around for a long time to come !

Fantastic Authentic Korean food cooked by excellent chef skills here. We taste the Love in each dish and the Korean authenticity here with each mouth. The broth is cooked to perfection with the meat falling off the bone. Do not be intimidated by the price the price reflects the quality ingredients used in each dish. Come try, it will not be ur last. Its our second time coming back to dine here! We had their specialty （hangover soup) twice , this dish is very rare in singapore. The seaweed soup is perfect for postpartum and they use high quality seaweed and WAGYU for the broth!! The ginseng chicken soup is by far the best we have tasted in Singapore / Korea. Solid Chicken with meat just falling off the bone tasty and hearty! Cheers to Story One Korean Restaurant.

The banchan is a meal of its own, the potato pancakes are to die for...hopefully the dishes remain freeflow They keep checking if the sides are refilled, my colleague wanted a well-done egg for his bibimbaq and they gladly took it back to redo it. Exploring Singapore’s food scene is an adventure full of surprises. In this city, you can not only taste a variety of delicious local dishes, but also discover many mouth-watering international delicacies. What I want to share today is my experience exploring Korean barbecue in Singapore. I heard that there is a high-profile Korean barbecue restaurant in Singapore, attracting countless food lovers to try it. So, I decided to go and find out. When I arrived at the store, I was attracted by its unique appearance: a perfect blend of modern decoration and traditional Korean elements, which made people look forward to it. As soon as I entered the store, the smell of barbecue immediately whetted my appetite. The lighting in the store is soft, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the waiters greet guests with smiles. I was shown a seat and my culinary journey began immediately. There were so many choices on the menu that I decided to try their signature dish. The first thing served is fresh lettuce, pickled kimchi and various sauces, accompanied by the fragrant barbecue. I picked up a piece of meat with chopsticks and put it on the stove to roast. After a while, the meat was fragrant and golden. I then wrapped it in lettuce leaves, added kimchi and sauce, and took a bite. The mouthful of fresh aroma and Korean seasoning made me have endless aftertaste. As time went by, I tasted various signature dishes in the store, including roast beef, roast pork belly, etc. Every dish is unique and delicious, which makes me a full meal. Not only that, the atmosphere in the store is also very lively, with bursts of laughter and conversations coming from the surrounding customers from time to time, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. After eating the delicious Korean BBQ, I left the store satisfied. This food exploration trip not only allowed me to taste authentic Korean food, but also experienced Singapore’s unique food culture and human touch. I have no doubt that this will be a meal I will never forget.
