We always love their dim sum and a glass of draft beer. And we always feel welcomed by the friendly Chunlan. She's such a warm and heartwarming person, always greeting us with a smile whenever we walk by. We've actually been wanting to review Sum Dim Sum for a while, and we finally got around to it today. We decided to skip the dim sum this time, as we had some earlier this morning, but we couldn't resist trying their zi char after Chunlan raved about it. We ordered the fish slice hor fun and seafood white bee hoon, along with a glass of draft Horgarden and a glass of draft Heineken. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of both the bee hoon and the hor fun. For just $11 ish, we felt like we got a lot of food. Both dishes were delicious, with fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces. Donkey particularly loved the zi char - she said it had a strong, savory aroma and taste that reminded her of wok hei, and she really enjoyed it. We actually think the zi char here is even better than what you can find at some of the nearby restaurants in Tebing Lane. The price point for the zi char was very reasonable, and the restaurant was nice and cool, making for a very comfortable dining experience. Chunlan's service was exceptional, as always. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and enjoyed our meal. Sum Dim Sum has earned a well-deserved 4.5-star rating on Google Reviews, based on over 700 reviews. That speaks volumes about the quality of this place! While we understand that experiences can vary, our experience was definitely in line with the positive feedback we read. Overall, we highly recommend Sum Dim Sum. They have delicious dim sum, and their zi char is a must-try too! Also Chunlan's friendly service adds an extra touch of warmth to the experience.

Seaweed soup, chicken feet with abalone sauce, Sichuan Spicy Wonton in Chili Oil, long beans with dried shrimp 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. The prawn paste chicken lacks a prawn paste fragrance. But the crispiness is definitely on point. Gonna try their dim sum buffet next, $30.80 for 90min.

Had a lovely meal at Sum Dim Sum Punggol! Their custard buns are a must-try – the buns are perfectly soft and fluffy, with a generous amount of creamy custard filling that isn’t overly sweet. Definitely a highlight for me! My partner enjoyed their egg fried rice, which was well-cooked and flavorful. We also ordered the sambal kang kong, which had just the right amount of spice to satisfy both mild spice lovers like me and those who enjoy something spicier. A cozy spot with delicious dishes – definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area while cycling the pcn trail.

We ordered KL Hokkien Mee, Wat Dan Yee Mee, and Har Kaw. Personally, I feel the food is up to standard, but it's on the pricey side. The serving time is a bit slow, even though there are not many people yet. Indoor seating is very limited, and outdoor seating can be warm with lots of mosquitoes in the evening.

Recommend the Carrot Cake, chee cheong fun, pandan fried char siew bao and siew Mai. It's really quite good. Dim sum on average about $5 per dish. They offer dim sum buffet at $28.80 per pax before tax, my honest take on it is you have to be damn hungry or have a above average appetite to get your money worth. This outlet also offers zhi char options, we ordered a salted vege soup at $7.90. Came here about 8pm on a Thursday evening. Not much crowd, food took about 15-20min to serve. Very chill vibes near residential area, alcoholic drinks are also available here. Will come again if we crave for dim sum at night. Parking is very convenient here, if you're price sensitive can consider parallel parking along Sing See Soon nursery and walk in.

Frankly speaking 3 stars is considered quite generous for the experience had there >.< but considering the weekend hectic situation and the waitress’s apologetic stance.. I guessed we will considered it to be an one-off occurrence. We arrived at Punggol East contained park on a weekend for dinner, and almost all of the container restaurants are packed with people! The restaurant has a small air-conditioned area, and most of their dining section are outdoor so it can be quite stuffy. We ordered salmon bento and fish&chips, and we were told that waiting time is 45 mins. The food ended up arriving only 1 hr 20 mins later.. and that was after we went to counter to check on it.. apparently they have forgotten the order. But the way they took order didn’t instilled much confidence in the first place :( my bottle of carlsberg took almost 20 mins haha. The food finally came in a paper box, with a resemblance to our army cookhouse takeout box (army guys will understand haha). The fish and chips was underwhelming.. the crust was too hard but overall the taste was ok. Fries were cold too, which didn’t helped the overall experience. The salmon was decent. All in all, quite a mediocre experience but we shall attribute it to a hectic weekend, most of the staff seems quite young and inexperienced. We really like the concept of container pop up restaurant next to the river, so that people can drop by for food and drinks after cycling, hopefully the experience would be improved in future :)

I'm curious how they keep their 4.5 rating... Food extremely poor quality... Some items, even kopitiam taste better than here. Food Republic in the NEX has much better dimsum quality (7/10 vs 2/10), so there will be no more next round. #service quality is excellent, particularly their person in charge 蘭姐; otherwise, 1 star will be awarded. #According to their person in charge, they only opened their Punggol branch about a month ago, to be fair, we will try their Jalan Besar branch in the future and amend the food review if necessary.

We spent around $18 per person, no drinks. Food was normal nothing fantastic but I think the price is reasonable. The beef in the beef noodles was tough, chicken feet star anise was too heavy. Only thing good was that dumpling in the chilli vinegar mix. Also the wait for our food was ridiculous 40 mins. For this kind of steam food shouldn’t the basket go on the steamer immediately when the food is ordered? And 40 mins for pre-cooked chicken feet. Kitchen probably can’t multitask. I wouldn’t visit again due to the long wait time. Also the lady at the counter gets people to give 5 star reviews on google. So I wouldn’t trust star ratings.

Went there on a weekday and it was not crowded.The service waiter is good and polite.We ordered a set of pork bento,a set of fish & chips and a sea platter set.The taste of the pork is good, tender and marinated well, the fish taste not bad , crispy on the outside soft tender inside, the sea platter set is not bad also. However there are two down sides. One : all three dishes are slightly overprice considering the portions and presentations, two : all the fried chips are at the bottom of the dishes.This causes the chips to become wet and not so crispy due to the dripping of sauces from the foods above. The ambience of dining there is good and is quite cooling due to year end north - east monsoon winds The overal experience is good for this meal.However try not to go on Saturday and Sunday evenings as will be very crowded and will spoil your mood and appetite due to long waiting time, difficulty to get tables and possibly some not so up to standard service.
