Reviews of Tai Cheong Bakery (Raffles City)
Received this Egg tarts from my customer , first time eating this egg tarts from this stall . Taste so good and fresh so Yummy . I post it my Facebook ( Food We Eat N Share in SG )
📍Tai Cheong at Raffles City. Small little koisk at this location.
😋 Gotten egg tart and pandan tart, which are both super smooth & yummy!
Buttery crust and soft filling. Pandan tart smells good however i cannot really get the pandan taste. Right amount of sweetness for both.
📣 Recommended!
Egg tarts are good. Loved the very buttery, fragrant, crumbly fresh crust. Egg filling had just the right moisture and sweetness.
Egg rolls, on the other hand, are grossly overpriced at $25. I was expecting the egg rolls to be much more buttery. It’s entirely possible to get a much cheaper option from a generic brand in a supermarket with the same quality. Lacklustre packaging on the tin too. Won’t give their egg rolls another go.
Surprised to see 1-for-1 closing sale at this outlet! Tai Cheong has the best egg tarts (including Pandan tart!), love the buttery crust! Cheese tart however was not as flavourful as Hokkaido cheese tarts. Highly recommend their pastries!
Will always buy the tarts back whenever I am in Raffles City. Bought the egg tart ($2.40), milk tart ($2.60) and durian tart ($3.90). All were delicious. I'd suggest one to eat the egg tart, followed by milk tart and durian tart so that you can taste the various layers and complexity of flavours. The custard was flavourful, smooth and not too sweet, the crust was buttery and fragrant. One of the better tasting tarts around. They also sell pandan tarts, coconut tarts, polo bread and other delicious pastries. Thumbs up!
Picked up the egg tart and pandan tart, which are both super tasty. I normally prefer flaky egg tart crust, but this buttery cookie crust is an exception. The crust really tastes like those tinned butter cookies and melts in your mouth. Not the egg tart to get for lots of filling but do it for the cookie crust!
My favourite egg tart shop! The egg tart was really delicious with absolutely fragrant crust. 👍 The durian cheese was interesting but not too mind-blowing.
Anniversary sale today 4 original eggtarts for $7.70
Bought 2 egg tarts to try for the first time. It was surprisingly light, both the crust and the custard inside. The crust though seemed a bit thick, which was inevitably assumed to be heavy, turned out to be so crumbly light, melted right after it touched the tongue. The custard didn't bring up any overwhelming eggy taste, again light, just a tinge of sweetness. This tart is the least sweet but nonetheless the most fav egg tart I've ever tried. Overall, I enjoyed the whole experience, maybe go back to try other pastries as well.
Staff are friendly. It was not too long of a queue on Sat late afternoon before dinner time. All kinds of pastries were available.
Egg tart & pandan tart were delicious! Sweetness was just nice and it smelled glorious.
The char siew tart & meat tart was a tad too sweet though.
Lovely egg tarts! I’m a repeat customer here. Egg tarts are baked freshly everyday.
