The quality of the steak was really bad. Asked for medium rare but it came out well done. I don’t blame the cook but it was really horrendous. The mushroom soup was under flavored. In general, I just felt that the standard of the food was not up to expectations.

[July 2023] Fried stuff decently tasty. I really love their pisang goreng rendition though. They have a special milk foam drink. It’s really good too. Ambience above average. It’s cozy inside.

Been a fan of their deep fried spring chicken at other outlets. Brought family to this branch to try. Chicken was fried to perfection! Crunchy and fragrant, best I have had amongst the various branches. Tried their blooming onion, pretty decent, except the middle portion which could have been better separated for better frying. Overall a great dinning experience.

We ordered a crispy fried half chicken with rice ($10.90) and a smoked duck salad ($7.50). The portion for the fried chicken was large enough for two small eaters, especially the heaping of rice. The yellow rice tastes like your typical garlic chicken rice, no hint of turmeric was detected. The chicken was well seasoned without being too salty and the skin was nicely crisped. The coleslaw had really pronounced notes of onion, more than usual, so I liked it. The smoked duck salad was differs from the photo in the menu, with the smoked duck breast chopped into tiny pieces. The 90% cooked egg was a nice surprise as I did not expected it in a duck salad. The thousand island dressing tastes like it came from the supermarket but we were not expecting anything otherwise. To sum up, it's good no-frills local western food. Service was quick and I love their all-in pricing inclusive of service charge and GST. Will be back to try the fried onion blossom.

Nice and clean restaurant. Ordered Grilled Catch but found that the portion of the fish was a bit small. Chicken Chop and Happy set had average portion size, otherwise. Onion Blossom is a generous portion. Overall food was good for the price. Coffee was nice. Lastly, I ordered the Fired Chix Aisi Cream. I think the fried chicken skin was good, the ice cream was nice, but it doesn't go together, IMHO. But it's was nice to try though!

Ambiance was nice. Has a cafe feel about it. Different from other tender fresh restaurant. But recently, they seems to keep running out of ingredients. Mostly the onion blossom or fried chicken skin. The chicken pieces seems to have reduce in size too, likely due to the chicken shortage.

Good for the ambient and the price No Service Charge & No GST. So don't expect any service. Order from counter, collect beverage on the spot and food later at rear which the kitchen located Was there for coffee, thus only ordered the salted chicken wing as finger food. But the taste was far off. Latte was good and Bandung was refreshing.

Ate here for dinner. Ordered salted egg chicken chop pasta. The taste of the dish is really bland and disappointed. I could barely even taste the salted egg sauce, I could only taste the cream. Only thing that resemble salted egg was the yellow colour sauce in the plate. Ambience of the outlet is nice and comfy. Fairly spacious between tables. Just simply disappointed with the quality of the food.

Dine in thrice and i love the layout and ambience of the shop. Best on quiet weekdays to get my work done as well. Food tastes great. 1 lost star as my last visit- a non busy day, one of the waitress? (They dont take orders nor serve you) kept pacing back and forth in the shop and dusting the fixtures while patrons are eating… a total turn off to be really honest as i do have sensitive skin and hives might actually flare up any time. And it was just an annoying sight for a person to be pacing back and forth in a quiet, peaceful space. Nonetheless, will still recommend this outlet and keep patronising Tenderbest :)

Ample parking space and just walk a minute of two and you can see Tenderbest. Nice ambience and you can seat in aircon or opens space with fan. Place for family makan and gathering. The food at Jalan Kayu is delicious and I was woke up middle of night feeling thirsty...haha 😋

Always a fav to come to Tenderbest. This outlet is aesthetically the best to me, second to Punggol's. We ordered the half chicken & rice combo, fried mushrooms & calamari rings. Their dipping sauce is delicious. Their appetisers were very crispy & worth it based on portion to price ratio. The chicken's white meat though sadly felt a little too dry that night. Good place for a dinner date & bike back home 👌🏽 Total spent: $20/pax (inc a $2 drink each)

I love Tenderbest Makcik Tuckshop (I went to the one in Woodlands several times). The ambience is nice, the food is good and the price is reasonable. However, their Nasi Lemak could be better. The one I ordered had half an egg and their sambal isn’t that great.

Pretty good sister company of TenderFresh, considerably good fried chicken and price is ok. Love that chicken cutlet with fragrant rice and that white special sauce in it. Superb. Felt the roast chicken didn’t taste too tasty though.. quite plain on the inside. Chilli and skin are shiok.

We had the deep fried chicken skin and fish which was a pretty good combo. Fish was nicely fried to a crispy finish without losing the juiciness inside. The curry mayo was the star more than the meat with the unique flavour.

Overall not bad environment, the food is also not bad. There are quite a fair bit of variety and also fusion. The BBQ chicken wing is good with the chilli, just like those you would get at the east coast hawker centre. I like the inclusion of coffee and desserts as well. Overall, pricing is also affordable.

I am a regular customer at your restaurant. I love the food and the ambience. What more, it is very near to where I stay. A few days ago I bought some food and a slice of cake to takeaway. When I got home I noticed that the cake was not in the plastic bag. So today I decided to dine in and also to let the cashier know about the missing cake. Her respond was OK we will pack it for you later. I also have a takeaway order along with my dine in meals. Before our meals came, we were decided to let the waitress know to also prepare our takeaways. I saw the waitress spoke to the cashier before she disappeared at the back of the restaurant. We had to wait quite long after we finished our meals but still no sign of our takeaways. I checked with the guys preparing the meals and was told that they did not receive any instructions from the waitress nor the cashier about our takeaways. When I approached the Cashier, she claimed that she did not know about it. I also mentioned about the cake but she just gave me a blank stare. I decided to forgo the cake as I was furious. Please tell your frontline staff to improve on their communication skills and be more proactive when serving customers. By the way, your chefs are wonderfully nice and very helpful.

Nice ambience. Enjoyed the cappuccino there. Food is good but portion too little. Definitely insufficient for a guy. Had the pasta fo lunch, the sauce was adequate n tasty but spaghetti was too little. Need to go for prata next door.

Bought the beef sirloin with black pepper sauce. Served with fries and coleslaw. I have eaten at many places that serves sirloin and this is one of the good ones. Meat was done medium and perfectly cooked. Meat was tender and the fats melted as it went in my mouth. Even when its a takeaway, it tasted really good and i can only imagine how it tastes if we had eaten at the restaurant. Wife had the lamb chops. She is very picky on food but we didnt even have time to take a photo of our food coz it was too delicious to stop eating. Thumbs up to the chef today.
