Today i enjoyed having grilled fish for lunch here. Fish is good quality and other dishes taste good too. Servers are quick to serve and there is a hand washing sink. Tissues are provided on table and washing sink. A pleasant dining experience here.

We chanced upon this after getting a queue from HDL. After getting pulled in by the somewhat whimsical mishmash interior design, we took a look at the menu and decided to give it a try since craving for hot, spicy and mala dishes. Ordered a bunch of dishes as seen in the photos. Most are decently well done. What caught our taste bud's attention was the 麻得跳, bullfrog in spicy peppercorn oil. Although we had plenty of Sze Chuan dishes before, this interesting gem is new and tastes equally fascinating. The other notable dish is the 串串, tapas-styled skewers grilled to perfection. We tried small portions of the lamb and intestines. It was really good. These would go well with beer. Lastly, service is decent. Some of the waitresses might be pretty new as they would remark with interest on interesting dishes they haven't seen before. The young counter front waitress was a little loud unfortunately, but given that she has to manage delivery drivers, crowd control and lead customers in to their tables, it is understandable.

Went during time , only one table customer. This restaurant opens for 1year plus to 2 , and the timing just hit covid 19. Circuit breaker, semi lockdown, heighten alert, it is impressive that it is still brave through it. There’s lunch menu available in weekdays lunch 11 am to 4pm All are noodles, Price is same as menu, just you can add $2.50 to get a drink, a side and 2 chicken skewers. Quite worth it. Food wise has room to improve. But the staff who attended us was friendly and helpful Will come back again for more 川菜和烤串

Nice looking place that attracted us. We were given a seat at a corner, table space was ok, not crampy. Staff tend to shout across the store to host customers in. 🙉 Service level acceptable.👌 We ordered the Kaoyu, Lazi Ji and some skewers. Lazi Ji in generous portion. Not oily, not overly spicy or sweet. Proportion of chilli and chicken pcs was good. 👍 Skewers were kinda of disappointing. The lamb skewers were tender. Shitake mushroom was quite bad, its so sweet... why?! Not sure if its meant be be like that but really not for me! 😓 Grilled Fish - We chose Hot Spicy with Pepper. Fish type - they only serve Qing Jiang Fish. Fish needed awhile to be warm up after serving. There was no other side ingredients in it, not even beansprouts. 🤔 Soup was oily & too salty! we requested for add on of soup but of not much help..😖 For Fish wise, it was big, soft and very fresh.👍 Drinks - Homemade lemon tea and lime juice, both ok. Grilled fish @ $42.80 Total $82 for 2 pax.

The grilled fish was not very hot when serve. Took some time before fish heat up. Suggest ordering less side dishes as the grilled fish already have their own complementary side dishes inside. I ordered the 蒜香favour which is not too bad but think 麻辣one is better which I would order if come again. Grilled veggie and meat side is quite salty. Will suggest the 鸡胗(very nice) and 羊肉串(quite good but need order at least 3) 猪腰子is not nice will suggest skip that. Overall decent restaurant but don't get your expectation too high.

Went there for dinner with my wife yesterday. I can say it was the best grilled fish I had though I'm not such a big grill fish eater. The service was good and the waiter was patient to introduce the dishes to us. When we ordered the fish, rice and drinks, the waitress informed us kindly that we could get the set meal which is 1 grilled fish, 2 veg, 2 meat, 2 rice and 2 drinks for $49.90 which was quite a good deal. Ordered some of the skewers as well and they were delicious. Loved the ambience and even the songs playing the background were slow Chinese pop music which I enjoyed. Definitely will be back again.

Visited it twice, both times taste is pale. The price is also on the higher side for the location. How to determine whether the Chinese food restaurant is good or not, just look at its menu. Authentic SiChuan cuisine restaurant won’t offer Dongbei food and bbq fish. Vice versa. This restaurant is another example of trying to offer all kinds of food but can’t meet the taste standard.

I loved coming to this place. Yes, past tense. Because nowadays, I only like going here. Been supporting this place ever since I discovered it which wasn't long after they opened. Things I always order include skewers (beef, lamb, prawns, shishamo, sausage, pork intestines), shredded beef stir-fried with chili, garlic xiao bai chye, deep fried spicy intestines. The food used be be great, attentive service and serving portions were generous. (Though with the price tag, its just nice). Recent visits however has been met with over cooked skewers, cheaper cuts of beef (no longer tender but a lot of gristle and chewy). Even the serving portions have decreased. My wife and I who are foodies have always experienced this trend with many restaurants. We discover a place, find that its good, and we start to visit it often (at one point we actually ate here almost weekly). Then, after a while, the establishment starts to go down a spiral. Sometimes the owners/management gets complacent/arrogant, sometimes they start to cut corners by getting cheaper/lower quality ingredients. Sometimes they just cannot keep up with the demand/growth. 9 out of 10 places we find good eventually go downhill, causing us to visit less frequently until we stop visiting it altogether and it closes down. From what I see, this place has now began its downward spiral. We will still visit it for the time being when we have cravings for skewers, but unless they pull up their socks soon, the fall from grace will be quick.

Ordered barbecue pork (min order 3 stick, 0.80$ per stick), barbecue chicken wings (2.50$ for 2 winglet on stick) wasn’t juicy and fragrant, mouthfeel is dry and tough, spices combination is not fascinating. Had better Chinese barbecue before somewhere in bugis Chinese restaurant. Ordered barbecue mushroom too (2 mushroom cap on a stick for 1.20$), shrooms were juicy but spices combination is again, odd and not fantastic. Barbecue scallop (4.80 per scallop), lots of minced garlic with glass noodles on top of scallop. Taste is normal but hugely overpriced, do not recommend anyone to order. Lastly, ordered a set of barbecue fish (49.90$ per set, 2 vege + 2 meat + 2 drinks + 2 white rice). Fish portion is generous, whole fish is fresh and with little to no fishy smell. Gravy/ sauce can be refilled. Taste is good but not fantastic. No “wow” factor. Total meal is about 80$ After gst and service charge. For this price range versus the food quality, I will not revisit. Overall food quality is medium low standards. Price is premium.

🥩Guobaorou Guobaorou is very authentic! The sweet and sour taste is just right, and there is also a hint of lemon flavor. It is just right to eat it when it is crispy when it comes out of the pan! 🦐Mustard Shrimp Balls The taste of shrimp balls is also very good! The amount of mustard is just right so it doesn't overwhelm the others~ The shrimp tastes very fresh and goes very well with rice. 🐟Spicy and sour grilled fish. This grilled fish is particularly delicious. The fish meat is very tender. As it cooks under the fire, it becomes more and more delicious. The more you eat, the more delicious it becomes. The portion is also very large~ 🍢Grilled skewers The grilled skewers are also very delicious. My favorites are the beef ribs and pork belly. The beef ribs are particularly chewy and the pork belly is grilled fragrant and crispy. You can really eat a big bowl! 🍜Korean cold noodles are sour and sweet, especially the egg in the cold noodles is really the best!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere. I went to have dinner with my friends without making a reservation! There are many choices of grilled fish. The double-pepper grilled fish is not particularly spicy, but a bit salty. Ask him to add soup and it will be much better. Recommend the grilled skewers and ice noodles! 🤤 Will go again!

Grilled fish is as good as fish exploration. It has a strong garlic flavor. Although it is a bit salty, the staff often adds soup and rice to neutralize it. If you don’t like spicy food, I recommend the garlic flavor! The kebabs are very delicious and a strong flavor dish. It goes well with tea or beer. Mutton is recommended. If you are afraid of mutton smell, you can also try it. The packaging for the takeaway is not sloppy either, and the insulation effect is good. The skewers are delicious even for takeout.

Last night I had dinner with friends at this restaurant. Maybe because it's not a weekend, the food is served very quickly, and the waiters are also enthusiastic. Grilled fish with vine pepper, salt and pepper pig's trotters and grilled skewers are must-orders every time. The taste is authentic and makes you feel like you are back in China.
