Reviews of The Daily Cut (Tanjong Pagar)
Convenient and a good go to option. Petite portion is sufficient on average, good variety of options and ordering via checklist paper makes the whole process seamless. Have to clear ur table once done, recommend staff to empty the bin more often.
Not a salad fan but discovered this establishment just last week and been a convert ever since. Great options to choose from and ingredients are fresh, especially love the kimchi, button mushrooms and pesto. Usually go for the pickup option on Deliveroo as they offer good discounts from time to time.
Best place to get salad! Just a pity that they don’t have any outlets near me. They have lots of interesting ingredients and taste so good.
Came for the salad, stayed for the pesto.
I remembered trying pesto for the first time ever here and was in love immediately, went back recently and the sauce is still great although volume reduced, as expected of shrinkflation.
Rest of the items like button mushrooms is still great, however their sweet potato is SUPER HARD -1⭐️ can make softer please and give more sauce?
$10.50 for the smallest bowl
The dory fish is very fragrant and texture was perfectly to my liking. Very worth the price especially with deliveroo's 50% off!! YUMS 😋
Amazingly well seasoned health bowl, beautiful variety of greens and proteins. Very tasty I really recommend. Food was prepared fresh and it was a delight eating them! The dressings were housemade and delicious.
They also serve drinks and they're mostly environmentally conscious with the food packaging. Service was fast too with a high level of hygiene!
Wished they served tap though, they do have unsweetened tea or juice.
We love The Daily Cut and the choices that they have on their seasonal menus. Unapologetically healthy food, TDC makes it trendy to eat healthy; we see many young working adults that make up the main bulk of the customers dining in.
I am not a huge fan of the small seating area but it is understandable given the small space available (and probably steep rental price too). Service staff is usually quick and efficient, but they did royally mess up one of my orders once. Forgivable as it has not happened often (phew!).
Other than that, we will continue to be customers here! Especially love the yummy tempeh as a non-meat protein option.
Simply perfect. There are several similar healthy food stalls around this area but many of them close early. So I’m really happy that I found this place near my office where I can get healthy dinner after work. And I buy from here almost every day. And I just love how you can build your own bowl to fit your need. And their website actually has a calculator showing the macros by choosing different ingredients for those who are particular about the numbers and need to do the tracking. Their fish fillet, lamb shoulder, brussel sprouts, sweet potato, quinoa, peanut sauce are my favorites.
Order through Deliveroo for an extra 25% off your bill when you pick up!
I got the petite size which was sufficient for me after a workout session. There were generous bits of chicken breast (not dry). I wish that the veggies were more and that they reduced the amount of sweet potato as I’m not into carbs.
Seating area is cramped and a bit dirty.
Generally ok. Ingredients are fresh but not so flavourful. The amount of dressings are not proportionated to the size of the salad. So after a few bites, you will end up with a dry, sad, lifeless bowl. Maybe it's their strategy to sell additonal servings of dressings. 😂
If you are into all about improving your health then this is restaurant for you. Great selections of proteins, greens and healthy carbs. Prepared fresh and tastes very clean and healthy too. Love how you can customize everything with a simple order sheet. Restaurant is well maintained and staff is quite helpful. Definitely will come back for more healthy grubs here.
If you find my review helpful, kindly drop it a like 👍🏻. Cheers !
Love the clean packaging and retail space. Always like daily cut and their food because the variety of ingredients. The portion is relatively fine if you get medium size. Small size portion might be too little for a meal.
Honestly don't know what I'd do without TDC - they make eating clean so simple and tasty! Steak continues to be as good as it was 5 years back, and their pesto vinaigrette is still the best around. Pity that the Marina One outlet has shut but glad to see the other outlets still doing well.
One of the tastier salad offerings around CBD. Service wise.. has been just average. They have a different menu every quarter or so. Often out of salmon which is my favourite. I feel the outlet in Raffles Place has a better chef, some vege are overcooked here oftentimes. It is very crowded during lunch time.
If you're watching your diet, you can't go wrong with this place. I usually order my post workout meals here. Compared to other clean food establishments like Super Simple, I personally find Daily Cut's ingredients more flavorful and varied. But I wouldn't recommend dining in, the tables are small and cramped and it's very crowded most of the time.
I went with the petite size (half portion protein and 2 supplement for $9) with one additional supplement. The portion is already so big for $10! I specially picked items which were seasoned and cooked, all were fresh and yummy. Only the Brussels sprouts I found too hard.
Love that the menu gets revised every now and then. Good assortment of foods.
Deducting starts as I'm unsure why the Pesto has been missing. This has happened twice this week. Staff usually diligently checks that everything is in order; hence the confusion with sitting down to eat (takeaway order) only to find the pesto missing yet again.
Mix is good, but portion is quite little. Overall good experience, long queue but it moves pretty fast. Very environmentally friendly as well. Would recommend if you have a salad craving near tanjong pagar MRT.
Crowded. The poke bowl is dry and tasteless
Portion was not bad. But tasted really average. Maybe I had better ones elsewhere. The price is slightly on the high side thou. $12 for the regular with only 3 supplements.
5 stars for the food.
2+ stars for the service / seating area.
Food is good but don’t go there for amazing service or a smile. U queue to pay and also queue to collect the food. But u know what u gonna get.
1 star amount of waste generated, most things single use. Plastic cover over paper container, but that’s not gonna be recycled.
So 3 stars overall!
Great for takeaway.
Nice healthy fresh meal. Wide selection and easy to order. Great effort in promoting sustainability through use of compostable box and cultery but can do more to remove plastic bags and plastic condiments containers. Online preorder will be good to
Good variety of healthy options with a frequently rotating selection. Get the loyalty membership
Simple and healthy salad bowl made by customer choice. You can choose choice of proteins/toppings/sauces from Western to Asian style!
Fresh and flavorful. Long queue at lunch hour. If you want a full meal better go for a bigger size instead of petite ($9) as below.
The service and food that provided are really awesome. Looking forward for my next visit. Hope they will have more variety to choose in future 😜
The variety of options is great but it is a bit pricy for the quantity of food you get. Also, there are very few options for the sauces. I wish they would include more sauces with options to add chili. I love the roasted chicken here as an option for protein. It is tasty and healthy. Good for people who want to buy healthy food. However, filling up the paper can make the experience not so pleasant. I suggest they put up electronic ordering kiosks.
Absolutely one of the best bowls in Singapore. Let’s get it
The Cut that does not hurt my body. Healthy good food no gluten. Happy tummy.
Another visit. 9/9/20. Superb Plain Healthy food. Always a fav.
got my food relatively fast and was good!
Great promotion in March: 50% discount for self pick-up via Deliveroo app. The food has been exactly what I ordered, but occasionally they packed the wrong drink or forgot to include it. Reported to Deliveroo but Deliveroo did not offer any option to refund the drink.
I’ve frequently visited The Daily Cut in Tanjong Pagar and generally appreciate their food and service. However, one employee’s behavior has been concerning. From shouting numbers to addressing clients with a casual and sometimes condescending “halo”, it’s less than professional. While I understand the job can be tiring, maintaining professional behavior is essential. Due to this, I’m contemplating other options.
Filling and yummy..healthy choice and value for money meal!
Brown rice yums, so is de pasta option.
Couscous yums.
Onsen egg yums.
Beef skirt yums.
Always loved dailycut for its fresh ingredients and friendly service but today’s experience at guoco left me unimpressed. Mixed salad didn’t look fresh at all, brown edges and slightly wilted.
Cashier could have been more friendly and courteous at informing me that I need to tell him before I order, if I would like to key in my number for the loyalty programme. As a cashier, he should have asked instead.
i do not recommend a $10.50 salad bowl that has really dry sweet potatoes and maple tofu that does not taste supreme. creamy dill sauce is extremely light, wasn’t really to my liking. i heard the peri peri sauce is good tho
Most people reading this would know what food they serve but what makes me so thankful for TDC is the dedication of their staff. It’s such a thankless job having to stand the whole time and pack tens and tens of bowls with speed and accuracy. There’s literally a person at the end that checks each and every bowl. It goes for every FnB workers out there but the folks at TDC are really one of a kind, not losing smiles even when their legs are hurting :(( Please give them a raise and some seats to chill at during downtimes, I rarely see people complain about the efficient service at TDC and the staff should be rewarded for it
First time eating The Daily Cut and it didn't disappoint! The food here are fresh and delicious! Will come back here again. However, wish the staff could inform the guests if there are any items that need to wait (due to cooking). Just a heads up will be great :)
Healthy food and various selections to choose for. Fresh ingredients. Really like the sesame dressing.
It's a good salad mix, ingredients also change once in a while, which is appreciated.. but the sweet potatoes are a joke. Hello? Can you cut those maybe? I'm not Shrek! They are huuuuuuuuge LMAO! (Except last time, they were thin and completely overbaked and dry -.-)
I always enjoyed the food here. The food is fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly. Recently, I left my wallet at the store. The staff reached out to me via Linkedin just to return my wallet. Very grateful for the gesture!! Kudos to the staff!!
Food is okay, standard portion just like other healthy bowl. Long queue when everyone is finished work around 6pm, the queue moving quite fast.
Price is slightly more expensive compared to others
Great place to hang out with healthy bowl and friendly staff, keep it up!
Each single base, protein, topping and the sauce are fabulous! Would come back again and again for this!
Loved the dory from here for the longest time!
The staff was really friendly and kind to share that there was 50% promotion on deliveroo so in future we could use the promotion until March
Really appreciate the tip + the food here is really good for the calorie counters
Okay grain bowl food place. They do have changing ingredients.
The taste is good. Tempeh is nicely flavored with honey, the pesto goes well with the penne.
However, 1 portion of lettuce for base is a little bit small. You can choose vegetables as topping if you are looking for more veggie.
Great salad place in the CBD area of Singapore. They have great variety of healthy options, so many to choose from every time I come here to eat. What stands out is the fact that they change their menu every three months, based on the season and that way this place does not become boring after a point!
Great food that needs little introduction. A star off cause they got my order wrong a second time in peak hour.
Guys cmon!! Get your staff to read the label printed out so nicely. I’ll have to take off another star for every order messed up again.
Yummy food but it’s the 4th time to get undercooked brusselsprouts. 😭 please make them soft again like before.
Superb grain bowl place, every ingredient is seasoned well and there are many options to choose from in all categories (grains, veg, protein). Always a tasty meal!
Great quality food, just avoid peak lunch hour when the line is incredibly long. Prices are fair for the amount and quality you get. Limited seating
I eat at The Tanjong Pagar Centre outlet bi-weekly. Food is okay n I cant help but notice that the portions are getting lesser each time I visit. I probably wont go again and will look for alternative healthy meals.
Generally very good except staff should not work and keep chatting! We are worried about the saliva spraying over our foods 😳this happened in raffles place
Healthy food. Tastes great with great options and variety
Food nice n environment nice .
Food wise so so. The chicken was tender though.
All good here - reasonable portions of what is a relatively easy and healthy takeaway. Just don't understand why they keep running out of basics and also a tad on the pricy side for what it is
Big portions and quality food with lots of protein choices. Healthy but very tasty as well
One of the first & finest in SG! The place to go for quality clean eating! My go-to for tasty healthy food!
One of the best salads out there, menu very tastefully created and refreshed. Bring back the chili lime prawn!
Salad are not icy cold to my suprise. Food quality is medium. Taste is good without being very salty. Fast food style but healthy concepts. Pricy and yet container for food looks horrible in my personal opinion, as it reminds me of disposable vomitus container from hospital... Other than this, everything else is fine.
Super friendly stuff with fast turnaround time. Great collaboration with Virgin Active!
Great food for mid-week. Healthy and fresh.
Oh boy
My first love is the outlet at Raffles Place
Very nice food, strongly recommended for healthy eats.
