Reviews of The Saigon
Absolutely a hidden gem at Punggol! Plus you can use CDC. There is so much meat in the pho and the dry vermicelli is so flavourful! Will definitely become a frequent.
Authentic but limited selection of Vietnamese food but they all taste very good especially if you love grilled pork. The beef stew is quite a large portion at $9.80. Order an extra baguette and share it!
Have been buying lunch there once a week for around 2 months. Food taste and portion wise is consistent. Lady boss is friendly. I would say it's one of the best vietnamese food in singapore.
Had the Bun Bo Hue on a rainy day, hit all the right spots.
Although BBH is not a Saigon dish, the bowl of noodles tasted very close, if not the same as the ones I’ve had in Saigon. A better reference point would be the Pho Bo, which I will order the next time.
Noodles came filled to the brim with ingredients including a healthy serving of vegetables and herbs.
Truly a hidden gem, though I’m worried the single lady manning the stall will not be able to cope with a long queue.
The menu is super extensive, featuring pho Bo to grilled pork to bun rieu (crab noodles) and banh mi!
Just missing a bun cha to seal the deal.
Big portion. Good priced. Delicious.<10min walk frm waterway point and you get to save half the price from eating at So Pho, while enjoying same/better quality food.
Only downside is its at a kopitiam without aircon.
Had the grill pork, beef pho and another dish. More than enough to be enjoyed by two.
The food is great, and the lady boss is friendly, but the opening hours are inconsistent. It would be helpful if it was updated promptly to prevent customers from making wasted trips.
Bun rieu was good but coffee shop is very stuffy. Prices are $1 to $2 higher than normal but not outrageous. The entrées ranged from 7.50 to 9.80 iirc. I may try the bun thit nuong or banh mi next time.
I saw another review dissing the stall for lack of variety. I was actually surprised by the large menu. Also, bun bo hue is not from saigon, but this stall serves it despite its name.
They also have homemade viet yogurt.
If you liked this stall please try Banh Mi Be Bi in Aljunied.
Good value for money. Well cooked vietnamese food.
Beef pho had a generous portion of noodles and beef slices / beef meats and soup stock was rich and tasty.
Owner is also quite friendly and pleasant to speak to.
Good food. Has restaurant level quality food. The pho stock is well balanced and has some sweetness, I like it a lot. My daughter liked it as well.
best Com tam (Pork rice) in Singapore. V authentic. A bit far from mrt
Nice
