Reviews of Tong Sheng Bak Kut Teh 同勝肉骨茶
One of the best herbal soup based bak kut teh. The bak kut teh come with mixture of pork and the inner parts. Their dry bak kut teh also very delicious. Highly recommended. We were also delighted by the friendly waiters who made us feel welcome.
I was brought by my friend here and OMG literally hidden gem. Love the food so much. One of the best bak kut teh. And the fish with garlic. Cant have enough.
Finally got to try this Bak Kut Teh near my neighbour, the soup is not the peppery kind and it's more to the sweet side. Love the meat balls and enoki mushroom in the soup. Didn't ask for a refill because we were so full.
They have so many things please check out their menu, worth a try.
Will bring my parents down to try the next time.
Herbal based BKT. They have both the dry and soup version. Feel that the broth can be stronger.
Surprised to find the shop provide abalone for the standard Bak Kut Teh set for individual portion. If you wanna to have a Malaysia version of Bak Kut teh, you have came to the right place. The soup is not peppery and has herbal flavours. Not too expensive and has plenty of selection. Definitely will come back again.
The portion quite small for small one, ordered liver and normal bah ku teh for 2 pax, not really enough
However, their price not expensive, so may just order bigger size if necessary
Taste ok, worth to try overall
Thought it is just Bak Kut teh. I found more foods are just as nice. Especially the fish and fried yam. Highly recommended.
Food:
Love this herbal bak kut teh! 😍 The soup is sweet, and there is a wide range of ingredients inside such as enoki mushroom, liver, meatball, pig's stomach etc. Only minor comment is the amount of ingredient for each type is a bit more limited (eg. For small size, there is mostly 2 pieces of each ingredient such as meatball and liver)
I've tried their other dishes before such as herbal chicken and bitter gourd egg, and they never fail me!
Ambience:
Ambience is also quite comfortable and cooling inside the restaurant.
Service:
Apart from asking to add soup and the serving of food, it is mainly self-service! Reasonable given the price :)
There are actually a few eatery there which are good. This a heart warming and comforting food on a empty day.
Lady serving us Only woke up when she nearly spill the chicken onto us. Yes, some sauce spilled on our clothes. She switched and turn into a very nice smiling girl (totally no more tired, bochap black face). Wished they were so nice and awake earlier so such thing will not happen in the first place.
:)
If you wanted to try an authentic Singapore food, this place is for you. The food is really great. Sometimes it is full, because they prefer to eat here. They have al fresco but they also have an area with ac.
Delicious and yummy herbal claypot bak kut teh. The soup is tasty however, we find the meat too little. They have dry and soup version and other nice dishes too. The thin mianxian is very slurpy but would be nice if can add some garnish.
Good service staff, and there is lot of parking available around this place. They also have table for 6-8 pax, suitable for family and group dining. Have aircon dine in option. Their herbal BKT is a must to try, served in clay pot that keep your soup hot/warm in the aircon dining area.
Nice aroma but taste wise, it's more to sweet side (umami). Decent food, if you passby then go eat. If not can give a pass. My personal feedback
Ba Ku Teh is herby Malaysian-style but not overwhelming. Remember to ask for Top up Soup for soup lovers. Vinegar Trotters is surprisingly soft and non-greasy and adored by my Mum. Its dark soya sauce is typically Malaysian style I.e. thick and sweet caramel and go very well with food. One can see that boss put in efforts into slightest details.
Having a meal here is a great way to reminiscence JB food but at comfort of SG.
Tasty and delicious herbal bak kut teh. Will return to try their other dishes!
Decent herbal bkt. Meat was tender. Seldom can find this quality bkt in singapore.
Best Malaysian version Bak Kut teh I have tried so far in Singapore. The dry version is great as well.
Place is quite secluded. Shophouse basis. Parking space is limited. Ordered Herbal Bak Kut Teh, Sesame Oil Chicken, You Tiow. Food has strong taste. A little bit sick due to strong flavours.
Definitely worthy of a visit for those seeking a satisfying meal in the Pandan - Teban area.
Air-conditioning offers a respite from the humidity so you see a fair number of office workers here.
Herbal BKT is an acquired taste. But as a whole you get good service and a decent menu here. There is something for every group or pocket.
There are lots of ingredients including a mini abalone but just two pieces of pork rib is the downer.
Love the generous ingredients given and owner readily top up soup upon request... But I feel if the sweetness is reduced for both the dry and soup version will be perfect... I prefer more to savoury than sweet. Will patronise often in the future.
Food was good and served quickly. The herbal one felt a bit too pricey for the portion served.
Love the vinegar pig trotters. A must have for me whenever I come here.
The herbal bkt tastes nice. I like the pig trotter in vinegar . Steam fish is also very fresh
Herbal Bkt, vinegar pork leg is very good. Price is reasonable too. Only no air con. Good if you miss Msia food
Dry Bak Kut Teh is so flavouring.
Ice coffee ☕ is damn good.
The soup and dry bak kut teh are tasty and everyone should try. Personally, never get bored eating it
Great Bak kut teh, definitely better than those overrated stores in Singapore, where their bak kut teh is basically just pepper soup
Dry BKT with some innards and three-egg spinach were delicious. Love the quiet neighbourhood too.
We have nice food there. This place remember me of JB bak Kut Teh that we can go in now.
Clean dining place, too hygienic that I can’t relate it with the bkt experience in KL or Klang🤣
1st visit, the soup is not bad, got the herbal taste.. Will try again..
Good foods, with air con, friendly staff, reasonable price. Will return.
Service good, delicious food
You can come here even if the weather is hot. There is air conditioning. The pork trotter vinegar and pork belly are delicious.
I saw a recommendation online and I just happened to pass by Pandan Garden so I stopped by to try it. The store looks like it has just opened not long ago because there are flower baskets and congratulatory messages outside the store.
We ordered the following dishes and three bowls of rice for the three of us, and specifically asked not to have pork belly in the bak kut teh soup. It was already past lunch time and during the epidemic prevention period, so there were not many customers in the store. I looked around the store and found that the tables and chairs were kept quite clean, but there were cans and paper towels all over the floor, as if no one had cleaned it for a long time. I was very puzzled, why is there no one taking care of the store that has just opened?
The dishes came, and I saw a lot of pork belly floating in the bak kut teh soup, so I immediately reported it to the store. After a while, the bak kut teh was served again, why is there still pork belly? ! This time I didn't report it to the store, thinking that if I can't even do the most basic listening, don't think other things will be done well. The amount of rice is pitifully small. A bowl of rice with star anise is not cheap, and it should be enough for one person to eat.
The dry and wet bak kut teh and rice noodle intestines are quite flavorful, which is the taste we like, which is why this review gets 3 stars. Another reason is that you can refill the soup. It's a pity that dining is not just about the delicious food. The cleanliness and comfort of the overall environment and the requirements for food will affect the taste buds and appetite of diners. I hope the store will pay more attention to it.
The herbal soup has a dry and sweet flavor, just like what I've had in Kuala Lumpur.
The braised pork is very tender.
Get your own sauce and chili.
There are birds lurking nearby, so it's recommended to sit down at the restaurant if eating alone.
Fragrant and delicious
Tongsheng Bak Kut Teh
The rare Bak Kut Teh with the sweet taste of Rehmannia glutinosa leaves a lingering aftertaste
