Love the food here though be prepared it will be more oily and salty like most Hunan food are. Snacks and ice cream are free as appetizers and dessert. Very kids friendly too, they have several non-spicy options like pumpkin soup, steamed egg and claypot tofu.

Very good customer service. Staff were all efficient and courteous. The quality of the food were amazingly delicious. We ordered the Sauerkraut fish in golden soup. Good amount of fish slices deep in the rich broth of soup stuff with lemon, corn pepper and chili, etc making it a great combination. Second dish was the steam pork ribs with taro. Not spicy or too salty. Good flavour and very delicious too. Expect to have alot of bones. To have a good balance we ordered the sour spicy cucumber that was very refreshing. Total bill add up $67.02.

Normally I won’t ever eat China food but daddy convinced me to try this Xiang Xiang place…. We ordered only 1 spicy dish which was the signature pork and almost every dish was good! To my surprise, even the cabbage was really tasty!

Waited nearly 2 hours for a table since 6pm, no choice peak period. Long long queue. Free flow crackers and ice cream while in queue. Spicy Bullfrog pot already sold out around 7pm 🤦🏻‍♂️. Food served within 10 mins (that’s very very fast). Stir fried Angus beef in 18 seconds, Sauerkraut fish in golden soup, steamed pork ribs with Taro (yam), white rice (yeah rice) deserved commendation. Other dishes we ordered taste average. But will return for other dishes.

Yummy food, with fast service at affordable price. Tried this newly opened branch at NEX, our favourite duo of Stir Fry Cauliflower and Green Pepper Pork. Recommended to book or allow at least 30 mins waiting time during peak hour such as weekend lunch and dinner time. Recently they changed the snacks, preferred the older version, but minimum impact.

Overall, food is very tasty and flavourful. My friend love the taro and steam pork rib, the taro was very fragrant and soft. Green chilli fried with sliced pork was good too, will be a plus point if the meat contains less tendon.

The rice is slightly sticky and watery for me, but still good. Toufu has unique texture, it doesn’t taste like normal toufu but like toufu paste. Love their sour fish soup with plenty of fish slices and great 老酸菜 taste. Free ice cream and snacks are quite a bonus !

The chilli fish head was well-balanced, spicy, salty, savory. Stir fried pork with green chilli was also another highlight, served piping hot on a small stove. Grind chilli with Century eggs was my personal favorite, although I might think that it's an acquired taste for some. Finally, give their wuchang rice a try, it's similar to japonica rice and is glutinous in texture. Not forgetting to get some lime ice cream after the meal to cool down the taste buds!!!

FOOD: Very authentic and very, very good flavours. The food is quite spicy in general, so if spiciness is your thing, you'll love it. There are some non-spicy options too, though those dishes aren't the focus and you can tell there isn't as much time and love put into them. SERVICE: The food always comes very quickly, so if you're hungry and cannot wait much longer before starving to death, this is a good place. The waiting staff are very attentive and very nice. Though they are generally understaffed, are rushing around and can't always tend to your needs. ATMOSPHERE: Very bright and nice modern Chinese aesthetic, the ceiling lights are well placed so you don't get blinded and the place has lots of wood and not too much glass so the noise of the crowd gets absorbed fairly well. Very thoughtful of the interior designer.

One of the best xiang xiang outlets i’ve been to. The atmosphere is clean and cozy! Food standard is still good with no noticeable difference between the other outlets. The only thing i don’t like is now their complementary snacks taste bad, having changed them to their own brand, presumably to save costs.

As for the food, fresh ingredients + big portions at a decent price, in which, quite a nice setup. Taste wise, acceptable as a local and also because I did not visit Hunan so can't really be a critic of this. However, timing for an execution can be improved, I waited 20 mins from 1 dish to another, a tofu then a dried chili chicken later. Not exaggerating, but basically based on calculated time of order chit versus the arrival time buffer with 15 mins. 1209pm order placed, the chic arrived when I asked at 1244pm, roughly. Is ok to let the guest know if there is delay rather a blind wait. Ambience, think whoever in charge of the outlet should set a check list to check on the ambience setting. The table I was lead to comes with the extreme loud music (Coffee House Pianist type), is quite a turn off. How about some Chinese Instrumental softy? When the place is packed, that music softness will also tone the emotion of diner and calm them. And, a table jammed with a pillar may not be desire spot for some. In general, when customer become loud, the loud music make them even more louder! Perhaps it is a style, but I don't enjoy the "Tour Guide" style of being lead to my table - maybe some would enjoys that. And, maybe a distance when one converse with guest. And obviously, most of them - just work. Checking of food satisfaction should be between meal not after meal; what is the logic of asking when I'm about to settle the bill and leave? I don't feel that my feedback is reckon and honor, I'm not expect freebies here but hospitality. Overall, it's a VERY GOOD BRAND of its class; returning to its would absolutely be encouraged but to bypass the possible shortfall. Hope my feedback will embrace, cheers!!
