Reviews of ComfortDelGro Driving Centre (Koven Branch)
Most of the instructors here are awesome.
They used their heart to teach and provide guidance.
I have the opportunity to learn from various instructors from different driving centres.
Pass on 1st try :) compared to other private instructors that don't really care if u pass or fail.
They actually really care and guide u through.
Be able to accept criticism, and they will guide u through all the modules. Don't be typical Singaporeans and make feedback about other driving insturctors ready and accept all feedback from them.
If they failed to clear, you mean u are not competent enough and practice again.
I rather you lose 97.01 than 400+ at TP and failed.
They don't earn money from gaining extra lesson from you.
They merely earn a living
Remember, be nice to the instructors so that you can get the most out of it.
You paid to learnt, gain the most out of it each lesson
Good option for people who stays in the NEL. The advantages of outpost student is more pro efficient in driving on main roads. It will take quite some time to travel to the ubi circuit for practice. Had a few encounter with various instructors, each of them have their different teaching style and tips. However, I am not very agreeable with the practice that most instructors I encountered will not start the lesson on time and gave the vibes that felt like they are lacking passion in their role as instructor. Despite seeing the student stand under the hot sun to wait, they continue their conversation with other instructors. As a student and given the steep pricing, every minute mattered especially when the lesson did not start on time. However, I’m thankful for the patient and valuable advice shared by the instructors.
The experience I had with CdC Kovan, particularly with Mr. Eddie and his team, was nothing short of exemplary. Despite the confusion about my account and booking, they extended their professionalism.
Mr. Eddie and his team patiently listened to my concerns and provided step-by-step guidance on closing the account seamlessly.
What stood out was Mr. Eddie's proactive approach, even while he was on holiday in Bangkok and being away from the office, he took the initiative to communicate with his team and ensure that I received the assistance I needed. This level of commitment is commendable and speaks about the values upheld by CdC.
Moreover, the promptness with which they processed the refund solidified my confidence in their service. It's reassuring to know that even in Mr. Eddie's absence, the team at CdC is capable and willing to extend a helping hand. Kudos team!
I was a school student with CDC at Kovan. I started my lessons in September this year. October, I had only 3 classes ( I forgot to book lessons in Aug) and then followed by November in full swing. In total, I had 23 lessons. December, I took a break, and just 2 days back, I passed my TP.
I am slightly an older student, married and with teenage kids, but none of the instructors treated me differently. They were super pleasant and detailed.
Punctuality and professionalism are there with these instructors. I had different Instructors during my course of learning driving with them, and all were super nice and made me comfortable.
My last couple of lessons in November were taught by one, Mr. Low. Initially, he was the one who was assigned to me, but he couldn't teach as he was on a long medical leave.
In the last few lessons, I learned a lot from him. A few days before, Xmas was my first TP, and I failed because of my Directional Change. I quickly went on to book a lesson before my next TP. Fortunately, someone cancelled their lessons on the eve of Xmas, and I was able to book 2 back-to-back lessons. On that day of lesson, I requested to my Instructor, whether I could concentrate and learn more in the circuit, he gladly obliged. It was a wonderful back-to-back lesson.
I am only full of praises for Mr Low and all the other Instructors. Some Instructors who filled in for Mr Low, were from Serangoon Central, Fernvale and Buangkok locations as well. They too made me at ease and were so helpful and professional. I will definitely get my last child to learn from Kovan Branch! Well done! Thanks for guiding me and making me pass my TP in 2 months.😊
The only issue with them is their phone line, difficult to get them via call but when we manage to reach them, they too, are super friendly and also very informative!
I was under Kovan branch, Punggol service point and passed on 2nd attempt (Failed 1st due to carelessness). Most instructors were very alert and most did not hesitate to scold me, but I know they had good intentions. Out of all the instructors, I felt Mr. John Chua was the most suited to my learning style as he helped me stay calm and never shouted at me or demoralised me, but explained things calmly to me. School had videos for the practical lesson topics, but they charged me about a dollar to watch them after I completed the corresponding topic with my instructors. The learner’s portal was unintuitive and outdated, and it took a fair bit of research to understand how it worked. However, CDC Kovan had excellent staff who helped me promptly and immensely via the phone.
Enrolling at the outpost gave me a chance to drive and familiarise myself with my neighbourhood, so it was good practical experience, but some lesson time was used up for travelling when lessons shifted to the circuit. I booked some back-to-back lessons (i.e. 2 consecutive sessions with same instructor) so we could stay in Ubi longer for more practice in the testing area. Some learners might prefer to enrol at Ubi instead to minimise this travel time. I booked my lessons once the slots were released on the 20th of each month, because missing that date would lead to a long wait (due to outposts being under One Team where you get assigned to one car and a small group of instructors).
The Instructors at Fernvale are very good, they gave me great tips for driving and not just for passing the test. Limiting each student to 10 lessons a month was a good change that CDC made to their lesson booking system, hopefully it stays that way post Covid.
Grateful to have met Instructor Luo Hongle (1135) from the CDC Kovan Branch. He is very detailed and would explain things in a step by step manner. Most importantly, he not only want his students to pass the driving test, but also to be a competent driver on the road!
Very good customer service. Easy to register. No need of appointment. Thank you officer
Service was smooth and clear
