K.Located inside orchard gateway (level 3 & 4). Perfect place for introverts to find peace in the midst of hustling bustling orchard area 🤣. Good place for working or reading (you can bring your own book), only mineral water allowed. Will be back here for a reading/working session one day ❤️

lover and looking for a quiet and peaceful place, then this is the answer. There are desks that f you want to study and comfortable seats for reading.
It’s a bit tricky to find it: take the escalator to the 3rd floor inside the mall.
L. P.It's a spacious and quiet library with an excellent design. Unfortunately, most visitors were engaged in activities on their phones, with only a few actually reading books.
K.Very accessible, just nearby from Somerset MRT Station and Orchard Road. The Library is well-managed and organised.
You can clearly see a panoramic view of books with diverse contents! A great and peaceful hideout from the outside noisy streets.
A. C.This place was amazing. With thousand books, starting from magazine, fiction novel, science, health, and many more, this is a pure heaven for you who love to read the book.
The atmosphere was so peaceful, quiet, but bring the happiness. You can read the book with happy feelings.
The decorations of the book shelf are also cool, if you look from above, it looks like a snake. Wavy. Nice for taking a photo also.

Divided into The Studio and The Loft, library@orchard spoil visitors with its vast array of programmes and reading choices.
Featuring a collection size of approximately 100, 000 titles, designated display areas and three programme zones, library@orchard works both as a community space and a contemplative cavern. Beautifully designed little library with a wide array of literature, from design to magazines.
Y. B.A little library in busy Orchard Road, a nice sanctuary for people who want to read ( or just simply rest ) in a peaceful and quiet environment.
R. C.Amazingly well stocked library in the mall. Huge selection of design related books at Level 2, and also magazines in Level 1. There's also an event space for talks. Overall great atmosphere overlooking landscapes, but could provide a bit more seatings. Level 2 entrance faces a card game shop so it gets noisy at that area whenever the sliding door opens.
A. Y.Im not sure about the collection of the books, but this library was so beautiful. Love the interior, the arc book shelves, some reading spots in front of a huge windows (beautiful scenery) and some even in a more private spaces. Everything were very well thought and fun. Definitely will attract youngsters to read here.
c. l.A super cool and accessible library known for its design related resources. There’s always ample seats and everything is kept clean and tidy.
However at the back end of the top floor (see photo) is always noisy😵 Somehow I always hear people knocking on doors and loudly asking for the librarian- which then leads to even louder and long conversations🤦🏽♀️

Still one of the best library as people there for the book or study, not taking the library as napping place with "free" aircorn.
X. L.Nice double storey library. Seats available along the full length windows where you can oversee the busy Orchard area. Nice design. However if you are intending to go grab some books for younger kids, you'll be disappointed, no kids section.

R. S.library@Orchard is located at Orchard Gateway level 3 since 23 October 2014. It is a boutique library for people to read to gain knowledge in the center of hustle bustle Orchard Road shopping belt.
B. K.Nice place to relax and read or just catch up on some tasks on the computer. The staff are strict about bringing food and drinks into the library, as they should be.
Great view from the full-length windows ~ many seats available :)
Definitely a great choice if you have some time to kill or just want a break from shopping or walking around town 👌

M.library@orchard is a super hipster and well-designed public library that is centered on lifestyle, design and the applied arts. Located on the 3rd and 4th level of Orchard Gateway. Nearest MRT Station is Somerset. The library has many seats as well as a reliable and fast Wi-Fi.
Fun fact: library@orchard is Singapore's first public library that sought public suggestions and feedback on its design.
A. d. F.Got nice view of the outdoor at the 2nd floor, wasn't able to take a photo though. It does not have printing services btw. But all in all, this lib is better than the ones near residential area as it is quieter, and the interior is good! 👍👍

Though there are tourists in the library who talk loudly as they comment on the photos they take for each other!! I actually asked them to keep the volume down. Could nlb staff please enforce this. C. O.Quiet oasis in a concrete dystopia. Cosy cubby holes & restful seats dotted amid the trees of knowledge and leaves of learning. Serenity in sweet repose and solitude. Jarred only by the occasional noisy wild life snorting around in a cloud of oblivious obnoxiousness. Fortunately these are a rare species. A refuge otherwise well preserved for a brief respite for weary souls.

M. S.Went here just to take a picture. The place is clean. Quiet since it’s a library. My shoes is a bit chunky and a bit heavy which makes a quick noise in every step so I’m a bit ashamed. I saw some staff usually checks the shelves which is nice. If I am a book lover, this will be a haven for me
Y. S.This library has miscellaneous books, choose what ever you like to read. the design of this library is spectacular. There are plenty of places you can sit and read books or do your exercise. Very quiet surroundings and some corners also have good views. Reading improves concentration and reduces stress.
E. P.Photogenic public library that has a unique and sleep interior design. They mostly offers arts and design related books and fictions, where one can sit and enjoy them leisurely. Take note that there is no children books in this library.

N. W.Great place for those interested in art and design. I really like the environment here especially the natural light.
However, the layout of the non-fiction books on the second floor can be frustrating to navigate especially for titles that don’t fall into the design section.
Also, the second floor entrance near the book return point is right next to a card game shop, and during busier times the ruckus can be heard from inside the library. If you really need quiet to focus, I recommend the pods or the row of seats near the staircase.

Y. S.It's kind of a niche library for design. There's a huge section dedicated to it. The interior design there is also really really nice. They even have ladders for you to climb to get to the higher books. I do recommend it if you are looking for inspiration for designs, or just want to enjoy your time in a really nice-looking and exciting library.

Awesome seating arrangement, great ambience, very helpful staff and good use of automation ensures that the members get a holistic, hassle free experience... Would definitely recommend the place to anyone who wants to read good books and relax. And let their family enjoy shopping while they chill at the library! :D
P. H.Fantastic collection experience. Took the lift nearest to the MRT exit and saw the book collection locker right outside the lift lobby on L3. Total time spent from train platform to the library and back to the platform was less than 5 mins.
P. C.Super location for tourists and locals who like reading. There are comfortable seats, lots of books, Chinese and English. You can just go in and find your preferred books, sit and read in quiet corners. All free. Excellent. Thank you Singapore!

W.If you’re in the mood to laugh at narcissistic teenagers trying to capture their OOTD shot for Instagram or perhaps wonder why they are glancing pensively into space while holding a book; only to realise oh their callow friend is at the background or level 2 taking a photo for them.. LOOK NO FURTHER, this IS the place where you lose all hope in our future ironically in a space filled with knowledge. 🤔
That aside, if you do visit the library like a mature human being for the sake of basking in some literature, this library here is one of the best in Singapore. Not only do they have updated and a wide array of books, the decor and ambience will lift up your spirits too thus satisfying all senses aesthetically and spiritually.
Only issue is, do they really have to locate the bookdrop at such an inconvenient location. Weird.
S.A really quiet and empty library in orchard central. After shopping you may want to head down here to read a book or have a rest as there are ample seats available. The library is very conducive and many students come here to study.

Y. Y.The most beautiful library in Singapore overlooking the city, there are different books on different topics, you can read as much as you want or just sit and admire the view, the main thing is to maintain silence.
E. T.Very beautiful library. There are plenty of chairs to sit and relax and read. It's very quiet and everyone is very disciplined. The stairs are a check-in spot, and many people take pictures here (sometimes it hinders people from going up and down. It would be better if there is a staircase for going up and down).
There are many traditional Chinese books, but there is no children's section.
N. R. R.There is a sad story in this place. At that time, the plan was to explore this place while taking photos, the place is really Instagrammable. Accidentally, I saw someone who was busy chatting with his "friend". There I immediately came to the conclusion that the figure in each story was the person. Hopefully you will always be happy and can move on to a more serious stage.
