Reviews of St Francis Methodist School
It is a great school to work with, where the school would like every student to have a success story to tell. It is a school with a heart for students. Things are still improving, but the Principal, together with parents and teachers, will make it work. Together we can! :)
My children have been studying at SFMS for several years, from Primary to Secondary. The child has now grown into an optimistic, positive and confident child. As a mother of a child, I can see the school's continuous progress in teaching, discipline, character and logistics management in recent years. The school has children from different countries, different languages, different families, and different beliefs. It is indeed a big challenge for the school to educate the children to adapt to an all-English teaching environment. At the same time, it must also take care of the needs of these children during the transition process. Anxiety and discomfort. I can feel the inclusiveness of this school for children from different growth environments. The school has dedicated tutors to provide psychological counseling for children in need; especially in the upper grades of middle school, teachers will provide free counseling for children who are lagging behind in their respective subjects. Make-up lessons are provided to try to help underachieving children catch up with school progress.
The problem of bullying does not only exist in one school, but many schools in Singapore face this challenge. Interactive communication and cooperation between our school, parents, and children are very important. The three parties work together to create a good learning environment. In this regard, I am also pleased to see that the school has established such a home-school interaction group this year. I hope that St. Francis, an old Christian school, can develop even better in the future.
A happy and caring school where the Principal and Vice Principal will do their very best to help students gain admission to prestigious universities.
This is a friendly environment. The teachers are very caring.
superb school! team is dedicated ❤️
I joined SFMS in 2017. Over the years, I have become more confident with my teachers and friends’ support and encouragement. In 2019, I was appointed an ExCo member of the Student Council, holding the position of Head of Discipline. For this year’s Teacher’s Day celebration, organised by the Student Council, I was placed in charge of preparing gifts for all the teachers. It was my first time leading a team. From the initial discussion on suitable gifts to the gift presentation on the actual day, I’ve learnt to distribute responsibilities to my teammates in an organised and fair manner, provide guidance to them, and mitigate issues. In the end, we performed a great job together. This is one of the several valuable experiences at SFMS that I treasure.

No one is left behind.
I have nothing to say. The only thing that makes me miss this school, which is my first elementary school, is the teachers and classmates here, not the stairs where the fan is never turned on and the simple classrooms. There is even a hole in the floor of my classroom. Two years ago, the school launched an activity for us to donate money to improve the school. I donated 60, and it has been there until now. In addition to the change of food in the cafeteria to Chinese food, the other change is that a useless sign is added next to the iron gate. Overall, it is a good school and I have been here since the first grade. I want to say thank you to the teachers who taught me and say goodbye to this school. Goodbye to the school that accompanied me throughout elementary school.
I miss you. I went there from January 2016 to the end of May 2017, and it was really fun. Except sometimes I was late for school and stood outside in the hot and humid weather. Mr. Chong said something about being late by just one minute... I won't forget it, do you understand? ㅠㅡㅠ And Miss Elin, the chemistry teacher, thank you for liking me. And Miss... I can't remember her name, but thank you to the Indian teacher who taught me commerce! I miss you ㅠ
