I personally find Mr Wong's classes very enriching and it really helped me reach greater heights. Before I started to attend Mr Wong's English class, my writing and comprehension skills were horrendous. I was not very good at using special techniques and my storylines were often simplistic. However, ever since I started attending Mr Wong's classes, I definitely felt much more confident in using strong methods. Not only that, he also made lessons fun by cracking jokes here and there to liven up the class. With his help, my AL score was lifted up tremendously from AL5 to AL2. Last but not least, Mr Wong also taught us to be resilient. Even though he had some health challenges for a while, he still proactively taught the class and I think that that is definitely something to learn from. Thank you Mr Wong for all that you have done for me, I really appreciate it.

I joined Stepping Stones when I was in primary three and was part of Mr Wong’s class for the past 8 years. Mr Wong’s teaching style is unique because he incorporates stories and life values into his lessons, which made lessons much more fun and interesting. He also ensures that his students are well prepared for exams by preparing and providing his own notes which are very handy and useful. Moreover, instead of using hard copy worksheets for lessons, Mr Wong uses Google Classroom for our lessons where worksheets and notes are made more accessible and convenient for us. It has definitely been a pleasure to be his student and I really appreciate the fact that he puts in a lot of time and effort for his students. Thank you Mr Wong!

I enrolled in Mr Wong's English class in Sec 2 as my grades were constantly hovering around the low B4. Mr Wong's lessons were engaging, and he often encouraged us to speak up when in doubt. Mr Wong has been my English tuition teacher from primary 5 to secondary 4. He is a strict teacher who heavily devotes himself to teaching his students diligently albeit he cracks jokes frequently during class to lighten the atmosphere. I attended both the PSLE and O level workshops because my english result at the time was unsatisfactory since i only managed to get Bs or low As. To my surprise, I jumped from a B3 in my EL prelims to an A1 in O's and also got an A in PSLE!! Mr Wong also prioritizes getting homework done and encourages us to apply what he has taught us in our exams. All of our homework is assigned on google classroom too so it is really convenient to access my worksheets on any device as opposed to hardcopy ones. When it was approaching O's, Mr Wong's health was not the best but he still carried out lessons and even extra ones because he genuinely cared about us. As Mr Wong is passionate and serious about education, he is someone you can trust when you want to improve your english results but you have to put in the effort as well :-)

Stepping Stones Study Centre is a very conducive place for learning to take place. I’ve gone for classes there for a span of 2 years, and the centre has provided me with the ideal environment; it is quiet and comfortable, allowing students to have 100% concentration on their work. I’ve been under Mr Wong’s wing for 2 years, and he has allowed my English grade to improve tremendously from a B4 to eventual consistent A grades. Mr Wong uses Google Classroom to conduct his lessons, which I find more convenient compared to the conventional hard copy style. Since English is a heavy-content subject, I appreciate the easy access to the notes that he has prepared for us. It also provides easy reference and revision for me. Similarly, class work is very organised and teaching was flexible. Mr Wong also conducts annual O Level Workshops for his Secondary 4 students as well, and goes through his predictions for possible O Level questions that may appear in the upcoming papers. Furthermore, he is willing to go the extra mile for us. Aside from teaching, he provided us with a motivational speech at the end of the workshop to motivate us to give it our all. One takeaway was a quote he shared, ‘P.U.S.H. - Persevere Until Something Happens, Pray Until Something Happens and don’t give up until the time is up!’. With his endless support, I was able to achieve an A2 for my O Levels! I have also been under Mr Leong’s wing during my O Level year. I scored B4 and F9 for Emath and Amath respectively for my Secondary 3 EOY exams. Mr Leong focused on my weaker topics, and especially emphasised on practice for Amath as it was a tedious and more complex subject. With much support from Mr Leong and endless practice from myself, I improved to an A1 during a short period of time. Mr Leong’s mix class of Secondary 3 and 4 students also allowed me to revise on past topics taught, and he encouraged the Secondary 4 students to listen to a recap on such topics. Similar to Mr Wong, Mr Leong also conducts O Level Workshops for Emath and Amath. During the workshops, he would go through past questions that he believed would be tested and unusual questions that may make a reappearance. He also goes the extra mile for us to ensure that he fully prepares us for the paper, even if it means extra lessons. As a result, I achieved an A2 and B3 for Emath and Amath respectively for O Levels! Overall, the teachers in Stepping Stones Study Centre are very supportive and passionate about teaching, and they saw me through my O Levels without once doubting me. I thank you both, Mr Wong and Mr Leong, wholeheartedly. I am very grateful to have been your student.

I am proud my daughter enrolled and graduated from this tuition center under the guidance from Mr Wong and also Mr Leong. Thanks to them, my daughter scored A2 for both English and Emaths for this year O levels, and also improved grade to B3 for Amaths which she usually struggled. I was completely blown away by my girl's English O Level result after only 4 (Physical) + 2(online) lessons with Mr Wong, which improved her grade from C6 to A2! “Excellent tutor who goes above and beyond to ensure that his students are well-equipped with the materials being taught in class. He never hesitates to give additional resources and feedback to his students and treats all equally.” Mr Wong always reminds all students to be on time for class (NO ONE dare to late⏰🤭) and to complete / submit all worksheets so that he can review and provide feedback or guidance; he indicates learning points that all the students can learn. I came to know Mr Augustine Wong's English classes through the recommendations of my elder sister who shared with me that Mr Wong is a very dedicated, kind and patient teacher in SSSC. I looked forward to every one of his English lesson because he would simplify the most difficult and boring topics such Reported Speech, Synthesis and Transformation, etc into an interesting and funny lesson for his students to learn and grasp with full understandings. Many of the classroom topics taught by Mr Wong via Google technology were very crucial in preparing for my school as well as PSLE examinations. In addition, the ambience of SSSC especially the Google Classroom was effective and conducive for my learning as I can do/revise the topics at anytime. She joined just before prelims and showed great improvements in her grades to B3 in prelims and finally A2 in O level examinations. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to Mr Wong. I used to be a pessimistic student who did not have confidence especially in English. However, having rejoined Mr Wong’s class in 2020 and attended his O Level Workshop, I found a deeper understanding and knowledge for the subject. For the past 7 years I have been in Stepping Stones I must say I really learnt many valuable lessons including life lessons. I am grateful for Mr Wong as he was always there for us students, he is consistently thinking of new teaching methods to help us horne our English skills. Not only that, but also Mr Wong would set up workshops for students taking both PSLE and O/N levels even though he has multiple classes to teach. Mrs Chan is also a teacher who is very kind and helpful when it comes to work, she will always be there for us students whenever we have a math question to ask not only that she will also help us with our schoolwork if needed. Mr Lex is a very nice teacher, he is always concerned of what's going on with the students and will try not to make the Chemistry classes too boring. He is a very chill guy and outgoing person so students will not feel that awkward during his class. Overall, Stepping Stones Study Centre is a really good Stepping Stone for students who are weak in their subjects as the teachers there are all very kind and helpful.

I joined Stepping Stones since I was P6. Although Mr Wong was fierce and sometimes quite scaring,I knew he did it for my own good. On the other hand, he is also funny and would always tell us stories that are motivational and entertaining. In July 2019, I approach the Stepping Stone Study Centre to look for "O" Level A Math tuition for my daughter. However, I met Mr Wong in the centre whose is English Tutor. He introduce his English "O Level workshop " to my daughter and persuade her to join the workshop. End-up I enrolled my daughter in A Math and English workshop. I'm really thankful that Mr Wong and Ms Liza had help my daughter to pull her English's grade from Grade C to A2 and A Math's from Grade C to B3. It is impossible to put a price tag on the kind of education our child receives because as a teacher, your guidance are truly priceless. Especially, Mr Wong , He had postpone his surgery and insist on finish his last lesson with his students before the O Level. I can feel your genuine concern, she is so lucky to have a Tutor like you. I really like the learning environment the center provides. The teachers there allow students to learn using fun and innovative ways , especially my English tutor, Mr Wong. His humorous lessons really allowed me to gain interest in English while his precise explanation let me understand more about the topic, allowing me to score an AL 2 in my prelims but unfortunately I scored an AL3 in my PSLE. Mrs Wong taught me Science and I found her very kind and very willing to give a second chance to her pupils if they do something wrong. I am a student of Mr Wong(English), Mr Lex(Chemistry), and Mr Leong(AE Math). I have received my result for N-level combined science, A math and E math with the score of A1 for all 3 subjects. Through their teaching, they have helped me to build my confidence level and improve my grade from a borderline pass to an A1. Mr Wong uses Google Classroom to teach us. 2023 Dec 22 It has been a great year and my youngest child did well in her PSLE English and at the same time she managed to also pass her Chinese which she didn't quite grasp it. We signed up for the additional workshop for all the PSLE subjects and at the very end the sign-up for Chinese workshop didn't meet the minimum requirement. Regardless, Mr. Wong decided to honour it and my child got the best 1-on-1 attention. I think Stepping Stones is not just a tuition centre but a centre that cared for students and the the WhatsApp group chat is well managed with the latest information, reminder and even keeping track if the students are coming for classes and if students has passed up their homework. Stepping Stones had become parents' extra eyes as the teachers continue to deliver the tuitions and workshops. Thank you, Mr. Wong & the teachers for the motivation and the encouragement to students who are struggling. I wouldn't say the teachers are good, they have been exceptionally awesome! ~Mrs Chua 2021 Without a doubt, I will rate Stepping Stones 5 stars because of their dedication not only as a tuition center but the teachers who taught my girls had given them guidance and nurture when they are met with difficulties and unable to cope. Before I enrolled into Mrs Wong's class when I was in Primary 5, I was always getting only an A for English. However, Mrs Wong taught me many different and good techniques to help me score in my English. She is also always very patient with me. Thanks to Mrs Wong, I got an A* for my PSLE English. She has been an amazing teacher. I also enrolled in her Science class and she has helped me a lot. She always tries her best to answer my questions. Mrs Wong also taught me techniques on how to phrase my answers for booklet b - something that I really struggled with. Although I only managed to get an A for science in my PSLE this year, I have gotten an A* for my SA2 thanks to her. I really owe it to Mrs Wong for my success today. From the three months I’ve been following Mr Wong, I know that he is a patient and likeable teacher.He often cracks jokes to make the lesson more interesting. Mr Wong knows a lot of things , other than a teacher he is also a “walking dictionary”. He is a strict but caring teacher that wants the best for us. He would go through a topic until the whole class got it. As the days pass by, one can tell that he is more worried than all of us. The learning environment is nice and quiet, perfect for studying. The staff are also friendly and willing to help. Thanks to them, I have gotten Astar for English and has obtained a high score of 265+2 as the aggregate score.

2019 was probably one the best years I had so far and one of the reasons were the lesson I had with Mr Wong. the lesson were interesting and full of laughter with Mr Wong joking around. Although he would scold us at sometimes, it was mainly because he was really passionate about teaching and also because he wanted to help us. He even taught us complicated words that teachers wouldn't teach in school. I used to achieve lower B grades for English but after attending his lessons, I got an A for English in PSLE.

I’ve only join Stepping Stones Study Center 4 months before my O’levels. I was in Ms Lisa's E/A math class and to my surprise, her lessons weren’t as boring as I thought. You can approach her for help anytime and she will be more than willing to answer your questions. She is also very patient, she will repeat and repeat the explanation to you until you get it. She made math easy! With her help, I managed to improve from a C5 in A Math and a C6 in E math during prelims to B3 in both A and E Math in O’ levels. I also joined the O level workshop conducted by Mr Wong. At first, I wasn’t willing to join the workshop as I felt that I don’t have time for the workshop and that the workshop won’t help me a lot. After some persuasion from my mom and Mr Wong himself, I unwillingly agreed to join. However, after the first lesson, I start to look forward to every lesson. Mr Wong makes jokes to liven up the mood of the students. He also uses google classroom to conduct his lessons which I find very convenient as I can access the notes he posted anywhere and anytime as long as my phone is with me. I’m touched when he postponed his surgery just so that he can teach us the last lesson before our O’level. I also like how he will point out your mistakes as soon as you make it. Lessons here are very much different from other tuition centres because for certain lessons such as English, laptops were being used to do work instead of the mundane pen and paper work. Thanks to Mr Lex, my Chemistry teacher who had guided me through my upper secondary life and helped me achieve my A2 in my O'levels . In his lessons, he does not teach like how other teachers would teach showing slides on visualiser, passing down notes etc. Instead, he will guide us through by jotting down the notes on the board every lesson and explaining the concept of it to us. As a student who is not so hardworking, I found it really helpful as compared to notes like how teachers in school will teach. All the memorising work is done in class, and not much extra effort is needed to self study. I joined stepping stones in 2017 (p3) for private tuition in English when my English was literally at p1 level. Mr wong helped me built up my foundation and I left the center after a few months but i joined back last year(2019 p5) to start my preparation for psle in 2020 I have to admit Mr Wong my English teacher really helped me a lot. I was pretty weak wen I first joined back but with mr Wong’s encouraging talks and useful study tips I improved a lot and got an A for PSLE English. The PSLE workshop was another highlight of the center. This is where Mr wong will give us motivational talks and extra practices. It was really worth joining as things taught here gave us a better understanding of grammar rules and made us more exposed to new vocabs. Mr wong is really good at teaching compo writing. He has many special technics that will help u to ace ur writing. His classes are really fun not gonna lie. It’s not only learning and doing worksheets here, he would always throw some jokes in between teaching to make the atmosphere less tensed. ( his jokes are always funny somehow) They always got us laughing like monkeys 🐒. Mr wong caters to every child as every one will have a different standard and he will consider for everyone by always assuring if the pace of lesson is good. By asking if we have any questions and also by asking if everyone is able to catch up. Honestly, his scoldings were one of the best memories. His scoldings showed how dedicated and passionate he was. He wanted each one of us to excel and be better. His scoldings never fails to make us reflect on our mistakes! Stepping stones, indeed a professional tuition center. Stepping Stones Study Centre has provided my son, Jun Hao, an extra platform to further his academic studies during his primary and secondary school days. With his english tutor, Mr Wong's continuous support and encouragement, he was able to further improve himself academically beyond what the school had taught him. Mr Wong has strong belief that not only Jun Hao but also his students, would be able to succeed in their O Levels and even gave extra hours of free tuition to coach them during their final O Level Sprint. It was undoubtedly a great decision to enrol Jun Hao under Mr Wong's classes since Primary 4 all the way to Secondary 4. Mr Wong has greatly assisted in teaching my son and his consistent efforts has certainly paid off. My son has achieved results of L1R4-7 and L1R5-9 for his O Levels and part of his ahievements comes from Mr Wong's hard work.

I would like to thank Mr Lex for teaching me Pure Chemistry for the past year leading up to my O levels. I had been consistently failing chemistry since secondary 3 and barely understood the materials. Joining this chemistry tuition helped improved my chemistry grades tremendously. Lex's lessons were always fun and engaging which made chemistry more enjoyable for me. He also made sure that every student was caught up during lessons. He would often conduct tests which helped me to memorize the content and realize where I was still lacking. In the end I managed to score an A2 for my O levels. I would recommend his classes to everyone who looks to pull up their chemistry results.

I joined Stepping Stones just a month before N levels and my marks improved alot. From a usual U grade to grade 4 in my sciences. I was taught by Mr Lex Lim, a super fun teacher that makes lesson very interesting and enriching, it made me look forward to every lesson. His lesson is very easy to understand and follow along. He always make sure we understand by asking us questions related to the topic discussed and even outside of lessons we can message him any questions or doubts we have and he will reply almost instantly. It was already mid year and months till the O level examinations yet I was struggling to produce good results and had difficulty coping with my studies. Getting E8 for Amath, C6 for Emath and C6 for Chemistry, I was completely unprepared to take my O level examinations. In a final attempt to boost my grades before O levels, my parent enrolled me into the Math and Chemistry tuition classes early 2018 in hopes that I will improve. I am glad and thankful to all the staff in the tuition centre for making that possible. Due to the unprecedented and countless guidance from the tuition teachers in the tuition centre, I was able to achieve an A2 for Amath, B3 for Emath and A2 for Chemistry. From a raw L1R5 of 30 and raw L1R4 of 22 for prelims, I was able to thrive my way to a raw L1R5 of 15 and a raw L1R4 of 11 I would like to specially mention these staff who have made my experience there a meaningful one which includes the counter staffs for always making our encounters pleasant and for always preparing a conducive and comfortable classes for us to study in. My chemistry teacher, Mr Lex for showing endless support and never failing to make his students laugh with his unconventional yet effective teaching methods. He is able to deliver crucial and important knowledge for us to achieve not only a distinction in Chemistry but also how to improve ourselves as students in life. Finally my math teacher, Mr Leong, for being there for us when we needed your help during crucial times, explaining thoroughly with patience and making sure we understood the key mathematical concepts. He has prepared countless of materials for us such as practice papers and mathematical notes for our convenience. I truly am thankful for all the support I have been given by the staff in the tuition centre. Even though I enrolled late (in Secondary 4), the teachers were able to prepare me sufficiently before the O levels examination. But of course their help must be accompanied by self hard work and dedication in order to excel. Thank you Stepping Stone.

I have achieved A2 for Math Nlevels thanks to mrs chan who have guided me throughout this secondary school life. Ever since sec1, i always been failing math or boarder line pass. But after i joined stepping stone tuition, i have improved tremendously in my math. From U grade all the way to A2 in my Nlevels, the study environment in the tuition centre is very peaceful and quiet as is it a small group. Even though i might be noisy at times, mrs chan is very patient with me and didnt gave up on teaching me
