H. S.My child improved tremendously under the guidance of Tr Leroy. Apart from impacting knowledge, Tr Leroy also makes an effort to encourage and care for him. We have enrolled in many EL tuition centres over the past 6 years, and The Chalkboard Academy is the best. Thank you so much Tr Leroy!
s. w.We chanced upon The Chalkboard Academy from Facebook. For prelims, both Paper 1 and 2 improved tremendously. Teacher Leroy is really an excellent teacher. He is a knowledgeable and is very familiar with the English PSLE marking as well. He gives clear explanations and unique lessons. The boys said that the lessons are very interesting and also creative. They learnt about personification, show not tell, figurative language and tips on how to structure their compositions well. He is indeed a life saver. Thank you Teacher Leroy. Not forgetting the Admin, Hui Hsien, she handles administrative matters with compassion.
C.Started lessons with Teacher Leroy in April 2023. I can see my son's improvement with the tuition. Teacher Leroy's notes were good and comprehensive. He is caring and is willing to help students after lessons. My son saw an improvement of 2 AL grades after learning a short time with Teacher Leroy. Thank you for your efforts! Teacher Leroy is an experienced teacher who teaches from his heart, along with a sense of humour. My child always tells us that his lessons are never boring. Thank you Teacher Leroy for making English an interesting subject and credits to you for the AL1 achievement indeed!
L. L.My child attended Chalkboard’s PSLE prep class since P5. His composition writing skills have improved significantly. Teacher Leroy has also inspired my boy in writing creatively. My boy had enjoyed his lessons at Chalkboard which were engaging and fun.
A. D.I came across Teacher Leroy on one of the Facebook groups for PSLE support. We decided to enrol for the online P6 sessions conducted by Teacher Leroy @ The Chalkboard Academy and let me say we are delighted with the results.
Our son was struggling with Situational and Continuous writing at the start of the year. Our Son’s grades have improved, he got AL2 in English, thanks to the guidance of Teacher Leroy. The online sessions are well paced and there is material on the chalkboard website that you can refer to. Alternative sessions were promptly arranged when my son was unwell (as there were multiple sessions that were available all week).
We do recommend The Chalkboard Academy. For us the convenience of the online sessions and the expertise of the teacher were a big plus. Our Son enjoyed his learning journey.
T. W. W.Teacher Leroy is a very experienced former MOE teacher. He is a passionate writer and imparts key skills to the kids in writing engaging and interesting compositions. He is also well versed in the PSLE syllabus and teaches all the various exam components well. Both my sons attended PSLE workshops with him and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced and highly competent EL tutor.
J. B.The Chalk Academy was a good place for my son to learn English and especially compo writing. My son loved the fact that we could actually borrow story books as well. That inspired him to read and also do well in English Paper 1. He scored AL1 for PSLE. Kudos to Coach Leroy for spurring his interest and also guiding him with all the tips and great strategy for all the Paper 2 components. Will recommend to all PSLE STUDENTS! ALL THE BEST!
