Ms Rachel’s teaching helped me improve in Chem greatly and boosted my confidence in the subject. She is very patient and detailed in her explanations. She also hows us experiments to let us visualise the concepts and deepen our understanding. Her notes are very concised and convenient to refer to. Ms Rachel’s lessons are always super enjoyable due to her enthusiastic teaching. I particularly like her style of lessons where students can feedback the topics that they are weak on and ask her to go through them. Her short quizzes at the start of the lessons always help to review our knowledge and indentify areas that we need help in. Ms Rachel has helped me jump from a C6 in Sec 3 to B3 in prelims!

Twig Learning Centre has played a large role in boosting my chemistry grades. Mr Koh is an amazing tutor as he is able to simplify even the most difficult chemistry concepts into an understandable and digestible format that makes it much easier to learn. The notes provided are highly comprehensive and each lesson is heavily focused on applying the concepts by doing practice questions rather than just learning content. Nearing exams, many practice question banks for all topics will be provided complete with detailed answer keys, and I really appreciate Mr Koh’s willingness to answer any queries that I encountered while revising. Moreover, for Practical exams, physical mock practicals conducted on site helped me familiarise myself with the practical skills before the exam. I am grateful for Mr Koh’s tutelage and I highly recommend Twig to anyone who needs help with A Level chemistry and is looking to see a major improvement in their grades.

Mr Koh is an extremely dedicated and passionate Chemistry teacher. He was always willing to take me up on my requests for consultations outside of class, and provided numerous opportunities for us to clarify our understanding during class as well. Mr Koh's quizzes on both commonly-tested and challenging questions during class stretched my thinking and made me more confident in my ability to handle the more difficult questions that would inevitably appear in examinations. Donnell Koh’s lessons are engaging and exam-oriented rather than just lecturing and rehashing what’s done in school. He has a knack for pushing you to think deeply and not be lulled into thinking you understand when you actually don’t. He does so by giving tough past A level and prelim questions in the in-class worksheets after teaching each concept. This forces us to go beyond merely knowing the concepts but actually applying and internalising them. Personally, I think this was a very effective mode of learning because it preps us towards the type of questions that will be asked in the exams. To top it off, Donnell Koh authors very useful books that summaries the Chemistry H2 syllabus which proved to be invaluable to me closer to the exams. Donnell Koh also provides ample practice before exams to cover a wide range of questions for each topic, because practice makes perfect! His delivery is also very clear, and he will provide in-depth explanations. His dedication to his students extends even beyond classroom hours. During consultations, he takes the time to help diagnose your weakness and answer as many questions as you have (which is a lot if you take H2 Chemistry).

I had tuition with Mr Koh at Twig Learning Centre for about 1.5 years and in my time there, I was always provided with extensive and useful resources. Mr Koh helped me learn to enjoy Chemistry and improve in time for my A levels. He never fails to provide extra help if required after classes and prides in his effective teaching methods. He even goes the extra mile to hold extra MCQ trials leading up to our national examinations.

Ms rachel’s classes are very entertaining and effective as she is able to simplify complex concepts for us using elaborate examples and comparisons to allow us to better understand the topics. Before joining her class, I was unable to grasp a few chemistry concepts and was struggling in answering questions due to my lack of understanding. However after joining Ms Rachel’s class I am now more confident in answering chemistry questions as my understanding of topics is stronger thanks to Ms Rachel, who puts a lot of effort into her work. Ms Rachel is also very passionate and it always shows when she conducts lessons and never fails to grace the class with a smile on her face. Mr Koh has helped me tremendously in my Chemistry through the hands-on and unique way he teaches and allows us to practice questions on the spot! Got my A in H2 Chemistry, thanks to Twig Learning Center :-) I struggled with Chemistry throughout secondary school and decided to take tuition here in JC1. It was the right decision; I never had trouble understanding Chemistry concepts even though it's one of the toughest subjects in JC. Mr Koh's teaching style is very clear and his notes are among the best I've used in my school life (even compared to top JC notes). He is very experienced and is very familiar with what Cambridge examiners want, so his teaching is very focused and helped me greatly improve my answering technique. He also provided us with a lot of question banks and test papers; honestly I didn't even use my school's materials and only used Mr Koh's materials when I was revising for my A's. I recommended him to a friend who had been failing Chemistry up until mid-JC2, and even he got his A in the end. It's never too late!

I did H2 chemistry under Mr Donnell Koh :) He was a really patient teacher who also knew his stuff really well! He often helped me out with stuff outside the H2 syllabus such as Chem Olympiad questions yet he also doesn’t fail to pay special attention to those who need more help, even though it means staying back for an entire hour! Really conducive learning environment and awesome teacher!

Mr Koh is clear and concise in his explanations which helped me understand the very trying H2 Chem syllabus more easily. On top of that, the resources provided in the form of summary notes and question materials for practice gave me much needed exposure to all kinds of questions which weren’t covered in the school syllabus.
