Reviews of Katong V
Lovely, helpful, friendly staff and hotel with big rooms with fantastic huge shower, great water pressure and bathroom facilities. Lovely pool too. Restaurant expensive, didn't eat there. Booked 6 months ago and advised we needed early check in and would only be staying 9 hours during the day. Response was prompt, would see what they could do to accommodate our request. Room was ready at 9am , but we had to pay an extra 118 singapore dollars for early check in which was not advised earlier. That was disappointing.
Friendly staff and excellent service. Mall is conveniently located at the ground floor of the hotel and very close to other malls and MRT station.
A Nyonya stylish hotel in Katong area in Singapore. No MRT nearby, only take a taxi or buses. A historic but refurbished hotel, and almost every room is with a outdoor balcony. I stayed in Peranakan club room with a comfy bathtub. Katong is also local gourmet paradises in my mind.
Ample parking space at the back of the mall. NTUC Fairprice Finest is not crowded. Good place to shop.
Always has ample parking lots. Some nice little restaurants. Great for an evening trip to the supermarket as its not too crowded and even has a DIY shop as well. Could do with more variety of eateries.
Tomi Sushi has been around for some time .Pricy but fresh ingredient
Little mall cum office complex with hotel at the rear end.
NTUC Finest supermarket at ground floor stocks fairly wide range of quality products.
Rest of shop units comprise mix of little shops, offices, restaurants, beauty & grooming, educational & enrichment classes, etc.
Renovated to luxurious modern standards.
I like Katong V because of the NTUC supermarket there and the interesting bakeries, eateries and wine bar, all at the same level as the supermarket. Haven't ventured to the above shopping mall yet. It's a place where you can find several nicer lower budget hotels too. Bustling Parkway Parade mall is just opposite to it.
One of the few hotels in Singapore that got balcony, for those who doesn't like to be in the AC sealed room. Super nice area with lots of yoga and gym places, lots of different restaurants and quiet residential neighborhood. No train nearby though, parkway parade mall in 10 mins walking distance. The hotel is old and maintain alright, however once you open the balcony door the room gets crazy condensation and you end up in hammam instead of hotel. We complained about the black mold on the ceiling. The management moved us to another room, which is equally damp and super super humid, floor is slippery.
Good, small mall. Ample parking. Relatively quieter than other typical malls, and cleaner too. Great NTUC Fairprice. Great bakery (East of Manhattan). Great cafe (Group Therapy Cafe). Fantastic North Indian restaurant (Delhi6).
Small quaint mall in neighborhood. A FairPrice, a good hardware shop, a hotel, a laundry, a famous dining place, some eateries, and lots of small entities for educational support to young kids. You can get most of your weekly stuff done here, if you stay around this place.
Go there mostly for the NTUC Fair Price that's on the ground floor. Very small selection, and I find most similar items are priced higher than at other branches. I suppose it's targeted at tourists and other hotel guests in the area... or people to lazy to travel a little further to do their supermarket shopping.
Good and convenient for the neighbourhood. Not a lot of stores but there are the essentials. E.g NTUC Finest, Group Therapy cafe, an Indian and a Japanese restaurant. There is also East Manhattan Bakery that serve gluten free bakes.
Simple shopping arcade with a grocery store (FairPrice Finest), home fix store, and more. Discovered that this was where the Yugoslavian bakery is located as well (where the exit for FairPrice is)!
Nice location with a pretty good mix of shops and restos. Bright, clean and well lit. Looks like part of the revival at East Coast road
This is an ultra small mall that serves the locals. Not so much a destination.
There is a Fair Price and a dry cleaners as well as a small selection of small businesses.
The mall is also attached to a hotel.
Contains compact but well-stocked Fairprice Finest, several cafés - I love the flat white at Group Therapy Café, but that's subjective.
Number of child enrichment centres available too.
Its has a niche and relaxing shopping environment though is a rather small building. Good for shoppers who do not enjoy a crowded and noisy shopping trip.
Good .. All hotel services ..Nice to stay
This is the place near Parkway Parade. Katong V has a fair price finest. It has a few other stores in the nearby area. The place has got it going for a hotel, Restraunts, there are also other Bussiness just haven’t had visited.
Depends what you are looking for, but this is an easy to navigate small mall.
Nothing much to shop. Went there for a hair cut at Hairlux. Like the NTUC Finest as it was not crowded.
Very handy.. good selection of stores
A small shopping centre with very limited shopping. However there is a NTUC supermarket on the ground floor which is the main attraction.
It's our of the way and has an eclectic mix of shops, merchandise and food. Katong V is a nice change of pace from a typical run to Orchard Road.
You can find out several restaurants inside this shoppong mall. On the second floor, there is a Korean restaurant named Bonga which was good to have a lunch or dinner with foreign friends.
The NTUC Fair price Finest offers a good selection of goods including a small but interesting selection of wine
Besides the aerial yoga classes available here, we love the NTUC Finest supermarket. Always sticked with the things we need.
Small but accessible mall within a hotel. Plus point is that it has a Fairprice Finest supermarket.
Good for a relaxing weekend afternoon - FairPrice for grocery shopping, and a few decent cafes and restaurants for a meal.
Open parking at affordable rates, next to Katong V makes this an attractive option for family outings.
Small, yet suitable to your daily needs.
Cheapest parking you can find in SG. Visit this place for my grocery run & charge my car
The mall seems to lost it's attraction as many shops and food court has move out. Not many attraction now.
Good location.
Nice staff
Amazing Mall has loads of store, cafe indian restaurants and also Taekodo classes for kids
One of the more quiet and enclosed cinemas. Love going to the movie here because its less crowded.
Four Star hotel, but no Veg food available
Very basic. The fair price finest is the only usefull place. Lots of tuition centres
It's got the basics in a good way. Well-stocked fairprice and a great handful of cafes and bistros.
Quite a small but cosy mall amidst the busy stretch along east coast road.
Nice little shopping place. Reasonably priced and great service.
A small little mall under the hotel has some restaurant and a fixed price Shop.
I love the convenience of doing my groceries shopping at Fair price finest when sending my kids for classes in that area.
really small mall with not much except 2 small boutique cafes and NTUC finest!
New Playfacto School opened in the mall. Child friendly mall!
Very quiet. Even the NTUC Finest is not well stocked. Weird...
There is really nothing here except for a FairPrice, a Japanese restaurant, and lots of remedial classes for kids. Not a particularly happening mall.
Convenient shop for what you need
Clean and tidy. Neat for the purpose of the tenants, mainly children enrichment centres.
Nice big fairprice. Japanese food not bad. Other options limited.
Not many shops. However there is a good Korean restaurant located upstairs at level 3.
I like to buy there it's near me
Hotel with supermarket in ground floor, comfort hotel with swimming pool and access halte bus behind hotel, made this hotel so comfort
Quiet little mall, good Jap restaurant on level 2. But NTUC seems to be pricey
Super small mall for atas people. On top hotel
Great little mall. Good cafes and awesome Indian restaurant
Very good hotel from far east hospitality
. Great staff
Superb hotel very accommodating staff veey convenient location!
Used to be the Paramount Shopping Centre. Fair Price Finest is the main tenant, some restaurants, etc
Convenient shopping mall, wd a great service of all staff..
Small shopping mall with a few dining options. FairPrice Finest is good for grocery shopping.
Functional and comfortable place. Fair Price is a life saver.
Nice place to visit goid people around . Enjoyed it there
Good supermarket to get fresh stuff but rather pricey
Nice supermarket. But pretty small.
A bit small but nevertheless good place to go
We come here for the kid's enrichment classes, NTUC and Bread & Hearth.
Very small mall with Hotel attached.
Loved it... Items are easily available
Small neighbourhood mall. Usually go there for the traditional sushi place.
Nice, cosy and very clean.
I like the classy and peaceful ambience.
It’s ok
Splendid place for a local staycation.
Great place to watch movie..
I didn't stay there long but perfect for waiting for the KKKL bus in the air conditioning
A small shopping mall under the hotel. I didn't use the restaurant, but it was useful because there was a supermarket. The supermarket also sold simple sushi rolls.
I entered the Parapharmacy on Sunday morning. There was none
Doctor pharmacist but just a simple sales assistant.
I was looking for a diuretic drug or something like herbal tea, which unfortunately I had forgotten to bring...
The sales assistant simply took a look at the shelf and said she didn't know.....
Ppi I passed by some shops but without going in
and I can't add anything else!
Practical, on the ground floor of the hotel of the same name. Good dining options
Good accommodation with affordable amenities
