Reviews of Tiong Bahru Plaza
Good place for breakfast. They gave good coffee and teas. Delicious pastry for sure!
The mall has a relaxed vibe and is easily accessible by MRT, with Tiong Bahru station directly connected. There’s a nice balance of local and international dining options, and the cinema is a great plus for entertainment. It’s not as big as some other malls, but it’s perfect for those who prefer a less crowded, community feel.
Small Mall but have many popular retailers like Don Donki ,BHG and Popular coming soon next Jan 2025.Eateries are plenty with a food street too.
At Tiong Bahru Plaza to attend Tsao Foundation Learning Festival.
Many seniors attended the workshop.
Goodies bags, ice cream, pop corns - given free to the public.
Took a photo from 14th floor, nice view.
Tiong Bahru Plaza having some International & local food festival. Fried sweet potatoes $5 for 10 balls. Teochew meat pie - worth trying though is expensive - $4.50 per piece andcwait hour is 30 minutes.
Many interesting food there.
Tiong Bahru bakery has a brand new unit in Plaza Singapura that opened quite recently & that naturally feels bright & fresh as a result.
The layout meets the customer with the pastries & sandwich counter.
The cafe itself is spacious & bright & bigger than the first glance. The layout leads you in with tables & chairs along the aisle & ends with a large window facing the street.
Tiong Bahru has become famous for its pastries & the coffee is also really good. Very nice with a cafe that feels like an asset in a suitable part of the mall. Great first visit.
The mall is clean, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable shopping experience without the overwhelming crowds of larger malls. With a supermarket, healthcare services, and even a cinema, it’s a convenient one-stop destination for both quick errands and leisurely visits. Plus, its connection to the Tiong Bahru MRT makes getting there super easy.
Easily accessible and located 2-3 mins from the MRT. It’s quite a small popup event, considering it’s only two rows of store - Global food fair until 16 August. A local favourite seems to be the handmade Teochew meat puffs and this china egg roll pancake! Worth a visit only if you’re around the area
Crowded mall on top of Tiong Bahru MRT with anchor tenants NTUC Finest and UNIQLO, Golden Village cinema.
None exciting retail tenants otherwise.
Mostly mediocre food on food street level 2 and a crowded Kopitiam on level 3. Fast food joints are McDonald’s, Burger King on level 1, Mos Burger, KFC in B1.
Coffee places like Starbucks and 24 hr Coffee Bean Tea Leaf - are always packed and not many available seats. Cheaper local kopi joints like ToastBox and Yakun plus takeaway joints like Wokhey, ToriQ, Crave in B1 adds to the pack.
Overall just crowded especially on weekends.
The mall is connected to Tiong Bahru mrt which is very convenient. There are a lot of shops, fast food and restaurants. It has Daiso, Fairprice, Don Don Donki, Valu$ and a lot more.
Have been going past this place for ages. Has been updating over the years, restaurants are ok but the wait can be bad at pizza hut and sushiro🐌🐌🐌🐌, reviewing this time due to the relatively novel indoors Pazar malam which features live food. Such novelty is often not seen in Singapore but in China
Small mall with basics available. Also have cinema inside the mall. Choices of food have variety and there is food courts and fast food.
Tiong Bahru is a very old housing estate so it is only expected to see lots of elderly and aunties milling around the mall. What I really cannot tolerate are the lifts. They move really slowly and the doors open and close really slowly, pressing on already raw nerves. It is especially worse when the lifts are crowded and you can’t find a space to squeeze in. If you drive, available parking lots are usually found only at levels accessible only via lifts. Imagine the multiple frustrations experienced just getting from the car to the mall. The escalators are not much faster too. I almost always instinctively take the escalator nearest to the lift lobby at ground level which leads to to one end of the building on the second level where I need to walk all the way to the other end of the building just to take the escalator up to the higher levels.
Somehow, no matter how much they renovate, the corridors of the mall always remind me of the dark corridors of the HDB flat my grandmother used to live in at Kim Tian Road. That HDB estate has since been demolished, but I guess ghosts do not leave easily.
Another thing - background sounds. There’s always constant chatter in the background. Very difficult to find a place to listen to phone calls.
Oh well. Welcome to Tiong Bahru.
Loved the kampong feel with the National Day pasar malam.
Tiong Bahru Plaza is a very grand shopping mall. Fill with many eating outlets & retail shops. A magnificent shopping paradise.
Great place to go to when passing by thiong Bahru mrt station . Has a lot of great fool at the basement 1 area and the first floor has a food lane of all the junk and fast food that really makes it convenient when eating with groups to view all the options and decide fast . However I would advise to go during off peak hours as it easily fills up and becomes very packed especially on weekends .
This is a nice surprise for Muslims searching for Halal options.
Tiong Bahru mall is located at Tiong Bahru area, which is not an estate with high Muslim population. Yet, on the ground floor East Wing, this entire stretch is lined by one Halal certified restaurant after another. Kudos to Tiong Bahru mall management for giving Muslims an exclusive corner to eat.
Here is a listing:
Burger King
4 Fingers
Soup Spoon
Subway
Long John Silver's
Makisan
Check this corner out whenever you're at TB!

I Found It! At Diaso Tiong Bahru Plaza but now with GST at $2.16 . No longer at Tampines branch on my last visit. Read above review and comments on this item too. Very useful for cleaning toilet tiles. Alternative brand and more - Kao
Wonderful place to shop. Can purchase almost everything under one roof.
𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑁𝑂 𝑀𝑂𝑅𝐸 𝐷𝐴𝐼𝑆𝑂..

A really good place to Shop and Dine. From Stationaries to Gold ornaments and dining. Wonderful place to shop till you drop.
This plaza very nice. A lot of store here like bread talk, mcdonalds, kfc, Uniqlo, and more. Bank also have here like ocbc, posb, and etc. From this plaza can go to mrt directly. Very nice.
Shop assistant Ms Ikah at Bata Tiong Bahru Plaza is alone, yet she serves with beautiful smile, patient and tireless in searching for shoe sizes we need; she is professional n capable of handling more than 10 shoppers in her shop. She never get angry when i asked for sizes to try. She also highlighted to me on joining as batan member can get 10% discount.
She deserves my compliment and Batan is so fortunate to have her as your frontliner 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
Please do give her many pats on her shoulder 🙏💖
Nice place for mac. Food is good but they gave the wrong drink, gave me milo when I ordered coffee. Staff are all super busy and overworked. Then again that's macdonalds.
Not too crowded, nice place for eating and meeting friends, especially lunch time or afternoon tea.The MRT is just at Basement 2.
Awesome food selections at Tiong Bahru Plaza! The barista at Starbucks were real nice too.
Our usual makan place. U can get many things frm tis place. Convenient n nice. Luv the atmosphere here too. ❤️❤️❤️
The mall is slightly small but has enough shops to shop and eat.
Superb place with different shops ...gud place to buy amazing stuffs 👌
Great range of shops. NTUC Finest is one of the anchor tenant together with Macdonald's and Long John Silver.
Melodious piano music that heals the soul is being played during my visit there. You can find delicious local fare ie noodles etc in EATS and also fantastic mouth watering japanese food in Don Don Donki.
A nice mall with varieties. Sad that the food court is under renovations. Good that there were alternate food street at Basement 1 with mostly local foods. Atmosphere was good.
one of my fav places to go to like almost every day! And recently in this year of 2024, they renovated and opened a “Kopitiam Food Court” which is so convenient to eat in the whole day.
Consistent over the years, MRT underneath. Bus Stop at the door. Diaso and Don Dinki outlets to provide low cost Japanese everyday products. Japanese restaurants to compete with KFC. Burger King McD of course, A good NTUC in the basement. Banks and cafe shops. Convenient.
Great job for bringing the food fair to the mall! Area is small but offers great variety of food, esp when it has been years since there is a pasar malam at tiong area. Continue to keep this place vibrant!!
Cheap and nice place to shop with competitive price. There are also lots of fast food stalls and restaurants can be found in the Tiong Bahru Plaza.
The food court has been closed for a long time for renovation. It is supposed to be opened in Oct 2023. Hope it won't disappoint. Miss the Yong Tau Foo.
Nice place to shop, and very easy to find food. A wide variety of delicious food surronds Tiong Bahru Plaza as well. Even the Highline Residences that i transacted a few years back is completed.
Lots of store already moved out.
I almost fainted inside the plaza coz low blood sugar level last night, thanks for the nice ladies and gentlemen who stayed with me and walked me to the pickup point. The ladies at NTUC were also very helpful. I didn’t get their names at that time but I am grateful for their help! Big thanks!
Awsome place, worth the time and money spent
This mall was a frequent meeting place for socializing with my friends for eats, drinks and chats around 2008 for two years. First time back there in December 2023.
Many food Center's and GV Cinemas etc
Not a really large shopping place. But there still have NTUC, Yakun, Coffee beans, Kopitiam, etc. 👍🙂
Clean and well maintained. Handicap accessible and well laid out mall. There usually is a fair running on the first or second floor. A lot of food options available. The food court at the top has plenty of options for Chinese food. While the underground shops have a lot of Western options.
So easy accessible by public transport and once can watch movies, dine and have fun here. Shopping is also plentiiful!
A whole new experience compared to when it first started. This childhood mall has lost its students crowd to other malls. But still a well equipped mall with major banks, food outlets and things you can get for everyday needs. Below that's the MRT and outside you have at least ten buses towards city.
Nearest shopping centre, small but got everything we need most of the time, FairPrice, Daiso, Popular, Cinema, Clinics, Tuition Centres, Restaurants and cafes, bakeries.
Hope to have more new varieties of food
This place is so convenient for me to do all of my shopping .It has got possibly everything what I will be looking for..From your groceries to fashion ware . Food many One can get all kind of chicken dishes if you really have got the craving for it No problems about You can find inside 😋 the building outside of this Plaza food glorious food that's cook food uncooked you have the supermarket In fact almost everything you can find in this particular place. I find that it is so centralist . That is why 4 stars I would rate it.
Neighbourhood shopping mall. Great to shop and lots of food to eat. Convenient if you don't want to go down to orchard Rd. Have NTUC finest, popular bookshop, SKP, kiddy palace, ocbc bank, posb bank, Starbucks, watson, guardian, spec hut, daiso and kopitiam etc. Great place for families if you want to spend some time together for a shop around or window shopping.
Great shopping mall with lots of food as well. There are food at almost all levels with lots of varieties. Not easy to find parking during weekdays night and weekends. But there is multi storey car park near by and free parking on Sunday.
Neighbourhood shopping mall that has a large variety of food outlets on the 2nd floor extension. There is Taiwanese food, Indonesian food, mala Tang, nana curry, 舌尖尖etc. There are also some food outlets at the basement. Pretty wide range of retail outlets such as Challenger, Popular, Uniqlo. Food outlets include 4 Fingers, Burger King, Long John Silvers, KFC, McDonald's. They have bubble tea shops such as LiHo, Koi, Playmade. There are also some enrichment centres such as I Can Read, Stalford Learning etc. Do check out their website to see what are the latest outlets available in the shopping mall. You can also earn Fraser Points if you have the membership.
Four Leaves at basement has good deals
Great shopping mall with plenty of food choices to choose from. Though the entrance to the shopping mall and entrance to the MRT station is very disorganized. Could have been better sorted out instead of clashing with people going in different directions.
I live in TB so I shop and eat here daily. It's a great place very convenient from the MRT. Options for supermarket is only fair price which is expensive compared to others but quality is high. Food options are good with lower level food stalls no seating. The food courts on the high levels are the pick with seating
Went to Tiong Bahru Plaza last Saturday after going to the Famous train playground in the Tiong Bahru Park, sadly the food choices are very few and the price is very high compared to other Malls, the place is quite nice it got a Cinema Golden Village. There is also a old Video Rental shop which is now very rare
Great place to shop and access to all types of transportation. MRT, bus stop and taxi stand are all at a walking distance. The mall is very easy to navigate and it is a popular place for hangouts. But, wear a mask and keep your distance as COVID-19 is still here. Abide by the precautionary measures and stay healthy guys! 🤠
4 level shopping mall comprising supermarket, pharmacy, cafe, restaurant, fast food chain, bakery, fashion, shoes, hairdressers, pedicure, challengers, food court and cinema.
Tiong Bahru Plaza is a pretty decent mall. Its not too small but not that big. Has many different choices and good stalls. Wide variety of food choices, some personal favourites are Four Fingers & Catheterise. Even includes a GV movie to watch shows, however cinemas are not that big but a pretty decent size to watch movies at. Also love to shop at the Daiso to get stuff not too small and quite big that they sell most items.
This afternoon i witnessed a security guard told a woman that he is going to get a wheelchair for her father who having difficulties in getting out from the taxi and walking at the taxi stand drop off.
I praised him for such good deed.
I give him a thumb up. Good Job.
May I suggest to the management to place a wheelchair nearby at the taxi stand for anyone in need. Especially presently we are having an aging population.
Thanks always
Timing bar plaza is a place filled with alot of things. Shops, and food stalls are whats basically there. However I find the place too cramped up and squeezey. I would not recommend to go there on a Sunday as it is extremely crowded and you are unable to move. But the food is mainly what so the best about the place because there is a wide variety of cuisines and you are sure to find something that you would like.
Nice Taiwan food. Just like you've taste in Taiwan. The hot soya bean really different from what you have been drinking outside (SG). Support
Ok. Neighbourhood mall with many convenient shops for day to day stuff. Some good eateries there. I usually head to Sushi Tei for Japanese food. The food court is nothing much to rave about thou. Well good place to spend some weekend time with family.
Nice food court here...
Very good place near many condos and hdbs and you can walk there and buy things conveniently. You can also access many places to eat like kopitiam mcdonalds kfc sushi teh there is also the play ground behind sushi teh
Glad to have a nice mall in the neighborhood.
A good place to buy groceries and necessities in one place. Only downside is too crowded most of the time. Now also have more new stores on both sides of the plaza.
Best place near my condo so far!
Navigating around is not easy... for me as I have been here for some time... good place to RDE nevertheless
Tiong Bahru Plaza has most of the amenities used by local people. Supermarkets, food outlets, banking and shopping centre all under one building. The Mass rapid transport is below the building. Easy bus routes at street level.
Food options are really limited even after the renovation. Food court food is improving. Not too bad for basic necessities.
Well, Tiong Bahru Plaza has A Fashion Store ,Like Uniglo, Jewellery Accessories, Food Like Mcdonald, Breaktalk, ,cafes , Like Koi Bubble Teas, Where U Can Meet U Buddy n BFF, N Restaurants Like Eighteen Chef n Food Court Kopitiam.
Small scale suburban mall, filled up with food stalls and restaurants. The scale doesn't provide full range of products, only limited to meet basic home requirements. No big name nor large size of restaurants available here other than Sushi Tei. The food served by 2nd floor food street Vietnamese restaurant was bad. Its Pho soup was tasteless, lemon grass chicken was too dry and BBQ pork sandwich lacked of flavor and juiciness. Not recommended. The mall was built on top of Tiong Bahru MRT station with limited car park lots. Served by many public buses and taxis. Don't expect much to see nor great food to eat.
Simple and small plaza. Good variety of food and there is a cinema.
Quite a gd place to shop & relax in the cinema but kopitiam has a fish stall which is very miserable w/their Fish slices. $4/for 4pcs sliced Fish. I'll never ever step in there to patronise that stall. Arrogant!
It had been so many years that the mall keep upgrading and compared to other malls it just keep improving and gets better! Keep up the good work!
Just closest to the accommodation. For more than 1 km, walking and exercising is OK.
Recently, DAISO and SUSHIRO have joined and it has become lively. There isn't anything worth going out of your way to, and the overall impression is gloomy, but there are many local shops, discount stores, and supermarkets, so I think it's very convenient if you're in the neighborhood. I'm also happy that it's directly connected to the station.
shopping center. There is a food court. supermarket. theater. Beauty salon. Clothing and accessories. Gold shop. Bank etc. . The underground floor of the shopping center is an express train station. . Outside the shopping mall is the station. The taxi station is very convenient for shopping.
Rivershire Condominium is located in an area near Tiong Bahru - Singapore
Convenient transportation and lots of delicious food. It was very lively. .
There are Lanzhou ramen, sushi, uniqlo, fairprice, daiso, liho, and McDonald's. The fruit store at Exit A of the subway station opposite is also great, especially the durian, which is always of good quality. It's so comprehensive that it embarrasses the masses on the Central Green Line. Thank u.
A compact neighborhood mall but it gets the job done for any of your basic needs. This mall has a Supermarket in the basement floor and a few eateries on bith the basement and the 2nd floor. And also not tk be fooled by it's slim appearance, this mall has a cinema on the 4th floor too. Should anyone pop by the surrounding area, I'd definitely recommend you cime down if you have free time. A nice and neat mall.
If I can walk around here, it would be to hold hands with you, the one I love.
