Reviews of Toa Payoh Mall
🟠 Toa Payoh Mall *✅️ estd since 1970
Toa Payoh Central, Singapore
🟦 Toa Payoh Mall at the town center is a bustling heritage neighbourhood mall packed with lots of retail shops ( hairsalons, fruit stores, coffeeshops, beauty shops, mobile phone shops, household goods shops, pastry shops, etc)
🟧 Located in the heart of Toa Payoh Central, this vibrant shopping hub offers a plethora of retail activities for visitors of all ages.
● We shop here for the daily necessities in life. 🟢 There is also a famous Banyan Tree Shrine small temple here.
Toa Payoh is the first indoor air conditioned bus interchange built in Singapore at 2000. There are many shops around here. This is a very convenient neighbourhood mall where you can reach here in bus or MRT. There is a mega Popular book stall above the interchange. HBD developing board is also around the corner.
- There is a Vietnamese baguette shop (Viet9) at the alley next to the mall.
- It is very convenient for shopping, dining.
The place that always flood by peoples.
TPY is matured estate, many old folks hang around here.
This place is like many stalls & foods , but when reached here I will feel like the things not “central” enough, direction quite messy, just my personal feeling.
Happy 2022, Huat a ~
Nice food at Hanuman!
The fried fish Thai style was especially worth it at $9.90.
The price is now raised to $12.90. A steep rise of 30%. The business appeared to be affected negatively.
I used to hanging out with some friends a few years back in this area, a few places for food court as well, and I love to spend some times at the library as well. This place very legendary for me and some friends
An old mall with a variety of shops and eating places. Bank,Bakery , Clinics and Plant nursery.Price is reasonable.
Nice place to shop and dine. Can find all the things you need in one place from food clothes, bookstore, hardware, spectacles, grocery, nailshop, medical and dental clinic, salon,TCM,fruit stall, furniture shop.
Good if you like outdoors. No Aircon unless you are in the interchange and housing board building. Toilets are so-so. Lots of food and many clothes are cheap and good. Very convenient to go to since it's close to bus interchange and MRT station.
I enjoy coming to this place.
You can find almost everything that you need from products to services.
Neighborhood mall, with loads of bank, eateries, shops, supermarket.
A 1 stop for daily necessities
Unlike the newer type of malls housed together in a building this mall is made up of different types of shops including coffee shops accessible to everyone. Probably built during the 70s each block contains rows of shops selling clothes, shoes, spectacles, knick knacks, fruits, mobile phones, etc. It has an old world charm.
Those buying Chinese New year decorations this shop has a lot to choose from. Conveniently just one floor above the mrt there's food and shopping.
Clean, super convenient, variety of shops to choose from.
Bought a desktop small fan from Happy Kiddy today. There was no charging cable inside. The lady at the shop said keep the receipt and if there's anything wrong, to go back within 3 days. Hope they will provide me with the cable when I return this evening to inform them.
This is quite a old mall and has been here for many, many years. You can find plenty of hawker food around the mall. The food is also great and price is very reasonable. You will love to walk around the mall that you can find plenty of various products and necessaries besides food. NTUC has a big supermarket here to meet your daily needs. Popular is also here to provide you with your education needs and wants. Kiddy Palace has a big shop here that provide you with your children's needs and toys. DBS Bank, UOB and OCBC has a branch in this mall to meet your financial needs. Yes HDB head office is here that handle all your financial needs and transactions. See how big is this mall.
It's definitely a hub - get all the essentials in one spot - groceries, personal hygiene products..... I like it for the Large Popular book store that isn't too crowded. Koufu food court right round the corner has decent roast meat too.
Best Valued ABC Soup with NO MSG !!!
Highly Recommended !!!
Great food and old memories... This is the place for delicious Malay food . Nasi Lemak and Mee siam.
This wanton stall is good. Prices reasonable. Nice place a after meal.
Basic necessaries.3 banks.2 food courts.Popular book store,Starbucks Bread talk,
Typical Singapore mall with everything under 1 roof. Also has many old times shop houses with is nostalgic
An excellent mall having a wide range of merchandise and food, frequented by both heartlanders and office staff.
It is only a pity on the waste of electricity with each shop running their own air conditioning units and the cold air released into the open environment.
If only efforts were made to have central air conditioning, closing off the walkways with glass panels, and providing access points at relevant locations, a decision made after careful review and study by civil, mechanical, electrical, IT engineers and architects.
The savings made in electricity consumption and the impacts on the environment, sustainability, the promotion of a smart city with amenities that are safe and lively, adds to that of a liveable city.
Local neighbourhood shops, hawker style stalls, plenty plenty selection. Parking is convenient. No rush, slow yet quick services. People friendly, environment friendly, money friendly. One can get anything here. Pricing is local neighbour standard.
More shops to choose from, near a church. And most convenient for it is a bus interchange and red line mrt.
A good selection of bubble tea shops for your selection as well as a row of food stalls at the back. Corner roast duck stall is tasty but a little on the pricey side. There's a ntuc supermarket nearby too.
A very good and vibrant place. So many options to eat and take away. Connected to Toa Payoh MRT. Local market is at walking distance with pocket friendly stuff.
Super huge, easily lost. Get a guide and your direction sense before heading in. Courts can be a great landmark but don't count on it. Your better off allocating more time for shopping, prepared to spend more time than you think here.
I have stay in Toa Payoh Town for almost 20 to 30 years, here near my place at Lorong 1 and 2 we have 2 wet markets and food markets, Mcdonald and KFC, surrounded with more than 1o coffee shops, names it here we have, we have 1 Fijian Huay Guang (Hokkien Association)
Toa Payoh West Community Club and Toa Payoh Centre Community Club link with NPP and SOC (Special Operation Commands from MHA, good facilities and exercises facilities for seniors citizens, Active Aging centre and lot of happening around the estates.
Most importantly, in our estates here we have an important centre objects, THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, The Housing Board our grand symbol, we have lot of events carry out in our estates,.
Other, we have Converter, Courts, ERA property, Orange Grove Group etc.
THIS IS TOA PAYOH ESTATE, our grand symbol.
A very informaĺ mall to shop. Fruits stores in one corner reasonably priced. Hair cut at $2.00! Nearby coffees supply abundant of food. Cheap clothing shops will attract you .Need money? Many ATMs and money changers around!
Always a wonderful place to get all that you need. And it is well connected because there is bus depot and an MRT station below.
It is probably the best HDB estate in the whole country.
Convenience and connectivity. Good choice of food from kueh stalls to fast food restaurants, 2 food courts, bookstore, and banks. Air-conditioned bus interchange and MRT station.
Toa Payoh mall has rows of shops from household to dresses to gents wear and children accessories to cake shops and food stalls, good for shopping and Mrt is nearby, now there's a food fair other stalls from jewellery to games and plants, thanks
Many different stores to explore at! Don't have to walk so far and there's about 4 bubble tea outlets there😁 Go there often as it's cheap and can save energy + time, which is superrrr good for someone like me who is lazy🤪
This place has been status quo for years in regards to its environment & setting. Maybe can consider changing it to a shopping hub just like the AMK hub or jurong point hub - lots of space and opportunities to explore upgrading.
If you're on a budget, can get good meals for lower prices here. Tastes average.
Very localised mall. Not air conditioned. But very conveniently suited for banking with few banks here and a May Bank at the HDB Hub nearby.
The bus interchange waiting area is air-conditioned, with shops around.
Koufu coffee shop and Popular bookstore is also located there.
More than 10 years never been here, realize not too many fashion or boutique shop. Looking for exercise pants but finally still can get $5 /pc in the mall. Walked all around not too crowded but very convenient as once you get out from MRT. You can see HDB hub ahead.
Bustling. 1st air-conditioned bus interchange. Many food options which include common brand names like Toastbox, Ya Kun n Starbucks, as well as unusual ones like Delifrance, Mos Burger n Ichiban Boshi. Linked to HDB Head Office .
Actually only went to the food court. Good variety. The muah chee and rojak stalls are famous. Bought some of the former. A tad too sweet. Two flavours available - original and black sesame. Later was nice, not overwhelming. Quite generous with the peanuts.
Also bought saba fish from Korean stall. Not bad. A little fishy but I suppose that's to be expected.
Just like any other heartland malls, there will be a supermarket, convenience store, bakery, pharmacy, basic F&B joints, etc
Very convenient to run banking errands here. UOB, OCBC, Maybank are within walking distance from each other. POSB/DBS seemed to be only having an auto lobby now.
NTUC is always crowded and more expensive than other supermarket, but this location is convenient
Quite a few changes since my last visit abt 9-10mth ago. Soup Spoon replaced Bao Today and there's also Xing Hua Village set the back alley of hawkers serving up good Hokkien and Heng Hwa dishes plus some dimsum too. For now you might wanna take advantage of the 11am-5pm 20% discount on dimsum promo... very worth it and tasty plus generous portions too ! Esp the Yam Taro Springroll... remained crisp & hot even twds the end of the meal and more dessert than main if you ask me, i.e. on the sweet side jot savoury.
Several shops in this area that is a diversity from the malls. Good place to walk around and enjoy your day.
Its the main market place in Toa Payoh district which is predominanty an HDB estate. Complete with a MRT (Red Line), Bus Interchange, airconditioned mall and plenty of food and dining options. Food courts here serve some of the most sumptuous local dishes. The place is well equipped with other services like banks, post office, stationary and bookstore etc. Good place overall for the near by resident to hangout at over a weekend.
Thanks to Alvin, the assistant manager of Watson Toa Payoh mall branch for helping to exchange my wrong item which I had purchased from the Thomas plaza branch on Sunday. Great guy! Keep up the good work!😀
Nice place to explore in Toa payo. Almost you get all the items needed. Enjoy walking to Mall road.
U can buy almost all the things u need for the home n the food is very nice too. Public transport is one of the best in Singapore.
Plenty of eateries behind those frontal shops, the Chinese steamboat and steam fish are value for money. There are 2 parking area, one in the HDB mall and the other HDB hub basement. The mall parking is free on Sunday and HDB per entry ($1.5) after 6pm, chose wisely. The Malaysia food good, but the portion could be little small for a guy.
Many choices of foods. But ventilation need improvement.
Crowded. Many shops with nice tasty food. Different cuisines satisfy your palatte. P.rice are rather reasonable.
Quite a large sprawling mall with an eclectic selection of shops for all budgets, from the economical "$2" shops to department stores, from coffee shops to restaurants. Also great for walkabouts to explore the area.
l like the place they have many durians and fruits. Household supply cosmestics body lotion and shampoo. Many clothings and shoes and bags. Money changers and soybean dessert and drinks. Shop till you drop.
Crowded and busy most of the time , food courts are at best average and items sold are getting more expensive
DR kanika is kind and passionate doctor.she understood my concerns and treated me accordingly. one thing i didnt like is waiting for hours .she is always totally packed.but i feel thts a gud sign one can say people believe in her ,so they ready to wait for hours.😊
Typical old school heartland mall. There are quite a number bubble tea and bakeries here if you want snacks. There's also a HK roast stall at the back if you're into HK style roast meat and there is a Tiong Bahru Bao outlet here to get your Chinese steam bun (bao) fix. I personally find that Tiong Bahru Bao offers one of the best baos in SG, the rest are pretty mediocre in my opinion.
Great place with lots of shops which covers it all. But if you are in for a jiffy.. the nearest washroom is your biggest nightmare as the nearest is either using those in the kopitiam or further away at hdb hub which you can do your jiffy in comfort.
Convenience n cheaper to shop.
Crowded over weekend. Many food varieties
This place has anything that you are looking for, even a christmas decor
I have always like the Japanese food that. The teriyaki chicken and salmon set is my favourite.
Don't like the China woman worker. Rude
Easy excess to public transport MRT and buses. Taxi stand located at the main road. Easy pick up for grab drivers.
Good food, professional hairstylists can never find on any shopping mall. Prices reasonable. Buses convenient. Opposite to Parkway.
Everything under the roof. So many different choice for your household product. Many mobile repair shops too. Bonus is all the coffee shops around the corner.
Lots of shops at the Mall with cheap eats
A favorite place to pass through, on the way home. NTUC Fairprice on level 1 and a bigger floor space in the basement, selling fresh groceries. There are pharmacies, like NTUC Unity and Watsons, with pharmacists on duty. There are banks like DBS, UOB, OCBC, & MayBank. There is a Singapore Post. You can get a $3 haircut from competitive hair salons. There is a food court on level 2 and another in the basement. You can buy from McDonald's, Mos Burger, KFC, Burger King & Subway. For stationery, there is Popular. Will gladly pass by, every day.
Happening place, good for tourist to mingle with local...many food and fruits stall, coffee place, aircon and non aircon. Many shops as well
I enjoyed shopping and eating at TP mall.
It's very convenient.
Near the train station and lots of Halal foods and shopping here is exciting and cheap.
The merchandise there is value for money. Good Food is least expensive as compare to downtown area.
one of the oldest estates in SG, always brings back lots of childhood memories growing up - popular hangout place for students then and now..
The hdb hub is situated right at the centre of the town centre. A popular food centre at the basement is always crowded. The place is easily accessible by bus or mrt.
Actually there was less crowd. But quite a number of shops are open. You must go and buy these mangoes which were cheap.
The teochew tim sum is pretty good. $$. And there is a Giant Supermarket right below the restaurant. Conveniently set up for you.
One of my favourite hunts. Neighbourhood shops and eateries as well as establishments such as Ya Kun, Watsons, Miniso etc etc.
Plenty of shopping, banks, eateries but also super crowded. One of the most crowded place in Singapore.
Great place if you are looking for a haircut, grabbing a quick bite / bubble tea or doing groceries shopping
You can still get good bargains from the shops here household goods
Not a bad neighbourhood place with lots of good food and some good shops, very conveniently located above MRT station.
Wide varieties of Small individual shops, especially great place to make your glasses with a number of shops for comparison.
Nice place many nice food to eat,the duck rice and also Michelin curry puff real yummy.
Always crowded and full of all sorts of business. Good place to buy and sell handphone.
One of the busiest towns in Singapore, there is a large flow of people every weekend. Various activities are often held in Toa Payoh Plaza, making it a favorite commercial center for surrounding residents.
There are bus interchanges, subways, and HDB for public access. In addition to department stores, banks, post offices, and various types of shops and restaurants, it is a good place for low-income consumers.
Interesting
It feels very different from the layout of other shopping malls.
I really like this place, it's spacious. The rice noodle stall is always packed. The store also sells a lot of gadgets, so you can browse around. There are haircuts and money changers. . Not bad, not bad
.
I rarely go to Toa Payoh Center for shopping, but I like to go to Toa Payoh Shopping Center to eat or eat: because it is a place with all kinds of food, and there are many large fast food chains. After eating, you can take it home and just go to the taxi stand to pick up a meal. Just a car.
Among the three major bus terminals in Toa Payoh, it is the main public bus transfer station, leading to the MRT red station. There is the HDB headquarters and many active shops. When you are tired or hungry, there are food courts on the upper and lower floors. There are not too many coffee shops on the ground floor for snacks. No1: If you go to eat it, you will know whether it is good/not (good). Of course, that stall is well fried and there are plenty of fresh peanuts. Because he is also an expert
Many of the photos shared by people were not taken here. In fact, this is just a commercial street... There are many coffee shops and various shops on the street. It is very lively from noon to afternoon. It is close to the subway station and bus interchange, which is very convenient. Shopping here
