Reviews of Westgate
Westgate is a family-friendly mall in Jurong East, Singapore, boasting a wide range of shops and restaurants. It's conveniently located near Jurong East MRT station and bus interchange, making it easily accessible by public transport.
Here's a quick rundown of what Westgate offers:
Variety of shops: From popular fashion brands to electronics stores and specialty shops, you're sure to find what you're looking for at Westgate. Harvey Norman is at B1 and Sephora at Level 1.
Dining options: With a vast selection of restaurants and cafes, Westgate caters to all palates and budgets. Some of the prominent ones at L1 are ShakeShack, Collins, Wine Connection, Brozeit.
Sometimes there are performances at L1 Foyer during weekends evenings.
Overall, Westgate is a great all-round mall that caters to everyone's needs.
Lots of food options, nice play to dine and shop! Connects to various other malls as well like JEM and IMM
A rather new shopping mall in the west Singapore. Has the usual shops that populated most malls in Singapore. There is a children playground at the rooftop (that is currently closed due to Covid-19 situation). Most of the tenants are F&Bs. Several luxurious shops are located at ground level. Basement parking and food courts. The mall is connected to Ng Teng Fong General hospital and JEM shopping mall. There are also connecting shuttles to nearby IMM shopping mall.
I only went to this center to get my lego passport stamped at the lego store
This is one of the best mall in Singapore. Spacious , well maintained with indoor and outdoor shopping and dining area. Easy access with public transport and well linked to other malls around the close vicinity.
A sweet and simple mall with a million options to shop, eat and drink. Landed up with a mocha Frappuccino from star bucks and took a tour of the mall, particularly liked the DIY shop and the eating options, there is plenty of room for kids to run around in the indoor as well as the outdoor space of the mall, found even a ballet dance academy inside the mall
It was a really nice shopping mall. There was a nice variety of fashion, F&B and other stores. There is a McDonald’s between Westgate and JEM, though it is actually part of JEM. You can’t access it from JEM because they blocked the pathway so you have to go to the first floor. I loved the Kiddy Palace and Mr. DIY. The Popular was a bit small, though. The J-Walk was really useful as it connected a lot of malls, the Ng Teng Fong hospital and Jurong East MRT. I would really love to visit again. One of the best in Singapore.
The mall has stores which I personally enjoy, so I might be slight bias. AX, Royce, Godiva, timberland and Isetan Supermarket just to name a few of the existing tenants.
I particularly like the concept of the courtyard, a sheltered area of the mall that is left open and exposed. It’s not all brick and steel, with patches of green here and there and green walls too. Definitely better on the environment since the it means the air conditioning isn’t constantly running. However, as it was a gloomy rainy day when I visited so it wasn’t unbearably hot, not sure if it will be just as comfortable when it’s really hot out. Still, the mall suits my needs, and I will be back for sure.
This mall is linked to Jurong East MRT station and also next to JEM shopping ctr linked up by a bridge.. A moderate size mall with an array of shops and eateries.
Westgate.. hmm there's spotlight and cafes to try. Good if you're into cafe-ish type of environments for meal..
Nice place to get what you are looking for without the crowd of windows shoppers.
Eureka popcorn is like the best out there! I personally think it's even better than the big brands out there. Love the Salted egg, Dark Choco and Sea salt flavors. Try it to love it!
Lots of different types of shops so makes shopping experiences great
Very convenient place for shop! Well connected to Jurong East MRT, JEM shppoing mall, IMM and Ng Teng Fong general hospital.
Jeanne and brenda .... excellent service 🐕🦺 very patient with me ❣️! Wouldn't forget them 😅💓💪 please sure they stay with put OPPO
My most frequent mall since my fitness center is located here. Numerous restaurants for dining, a new Food junction just opened but food is soso. Not much of option if you thinking about shopping, you can just walk across to Gem.
It is like other malls with all the necessary stores
can be very crowded... due to the MRT nearby
Good variety of food to satisfy your craving for local food.
Very convenient have nearly everything
Personally I don't have good experience with the mall in term of the practicality and user experience in mind (especially the drivers)
𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐟𝐟 & 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐮𝐩 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭
The mall has the worse drop off and pick up area compare to jem next door. The design of the drop off/pick up is so small and tight and messy for any drivers to maneuver.
The taxi, PHV and private cars are all squeeze into the same small tiny area. The entire area is chaotic with or without rain.
Finally a mall with functional and accessible elevators.
Very convenient location, almost everything available - F&B, Harvey Norman, IT/telco shops, sportswears, banking services [DBS], educational/dancing/fitness centres etc.
One of the well diverse mall in West Singapore.
Love to shop here. Very convenient since just aside to Jurong East MRT.
Great shopping mall, you can get almost any thing you want and enjoy the food as well
Quite a nice place to shop.. lots variety of food to choose ..
Store is at basement food court
Nice fragrance tu tu Kueh filling is not dry will always purchase some when pass by.
Its cover lots of expensive brands on west coast.nice place but if you are looking for average price then not worth.
Good shopping experience, clean environment, this shopping mall have a first class restroom, and have a lot of places for you to rest.
A labyrinth of shops. This mall is connected to another and every turns brings a row of different shops - easy way to get lost 😆. That said, it’s got a good mix of high street boutiques and regular shops that you often find in malls in Singapore.
An amazing place joined together by J - Walk. Super convenient for the students, family and tourists. Easy access to a hospital and the train station.
Has many malls and food courts. Love hanging out there.
Gigantic shopping mall also like JEM. Great food... Almost like a second orchard road.
Great vibrant mall near Jurong East interchange
The servers very courteous friendly especially one young guy. Do very good recommendations food for us to order. We have eaten the food and soup very yummy. We will recommend to friends and will go again there for lunch or dinner. The outlet name Yun Nan Thanks
Nice shopping mall complementing the others around the Jurong East area. Has several eateries worth visiting including Ippudo ramen, Tim Ho Wan and Zaffron Kitchen. There's also a play area at the top. Great for families.
Edit 2024: Several restaurants, shops have changed hands including Zaffron which is no longer in Westgate.
A mark better than the usual heartland mall. Owndays here is better than the 3 I've patronised.
Westgate is beside Jurong East MRT so very convenient to access the mall. One of the well organized mall. I could see more crowd in Level L1, B1 & B2 compare to L2-L5. Is it because of the restaurants, food court and Gaming timeouts arranged there?? The mall is very spacious. Good to visit in weekends
Odd half air conditioned and half open air place. While the open concept is intriguing, the result is shops become rather widely spaced apart and sometimes hard to find if looking for specific shops.
One of the best shopping centres in the West side of Singapore.
Wide range of eateries. Discovered Vibes cafe recently. Lovely place and conducive ambience to have conversations. Price of beverages are reasonable. Expect to fork out between $10 to $20 for meals.
4 stars for a good/restaurant mall... shopping wise, not terribly exciting. A few important shops like Popular Book Store, Spotlight.
Great ramen options here. Brotzeit is a good option for beers and German food. Happy to see a new Wine Connection restaurant open too. Can't go past Tim Ho Wan and Paradise for Chinese options, plus famous Feng Sheng Hao Taiwanese cafe There's also a Shake Shack.
Parking here is not good, always a long queue. I suggest parking across the road at NTFGH and crossing the overhead bridge to Westgate.
Westgate in Jurong East, Singapore, is a bustling and modern shopping mall that provides a comprehensive retail and dining experience. It's an excellent place to visit for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
The mall's design is inviting and easy to navigate, featuring a range of stores and brands, from fashion boutiques and electronics shops to lifestyle and home decor outlets. It's also home to several anchor tenants, offering a diverse selection of products to suit various preferences.
One of the standout features of Westgate is its extensive dining options. The mall boasts a plethora of eateries, from casual food courts with local and international cuisine to restaurants offering a more upscale dining experience. Whether you're in the mood for traditional Singaporean fare or global flavors, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings.

Parking can be a challenge during peak hours, as Westgate is located in a busy part of Jurong East. However, the convenience of being near other attractions and public transport options, like the Jurong East MRT station and bus interchange, makes it an accessible and well-connected place to visit.
In summary, Westgate in Jurong East is a vibrant shopping and lifestyle hub that offers a diverse range of retail and dining experiences. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, it's an excellent destination to explore, shop, dine, and be entertained.
Nice mall, decently crowded, costlier one
It is very big and that there are a lot of people shopping. Due to safe management measures, the entrance to the mall is centralise at level 2, which makes it a bit inconvenient for shoppers if they want to go through the mall at other entrances. It takes a longer time to reach the shops that used to be convenient to reach. Overall a very decent central market in the hub of Jurong East and that it had many accessible facilities.
Good place for children to play and to buy children stuff.. And have variety of foods and bakeries.. Food court is good . Easily can engage children for 2 to 3 hours in the indoor and outdoor activities.. Spotlight has become more attractive and Popular also opened here in this mall, Already we have kiddy palace and other famous shops ... Anjappar Indian restaurant along with many multi cuisine restaurant.. And lot and lots ..
Biggest mall at east of Singapore. A lot of offices surrounding this Westgate.
30 sec from Jurong East mrt.
Good place for shopping and eating
Fabulous it's all worth for good
Vast variety of food options but the quality is just standard and abit pricey. Good place for windows shopping which parents waiting for their children knock off from tuition upstairs. There's a fun children playground at the top floor which kids will definitely enjoy.
Cozy shopping mall with a range of restaurants, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Germans, fast food, cafeteria etc. and many merchandise to spend your day at. Live bands on certain night of the week near Brotzeit restaurant liven up the ambience with soothing music and songs. Nice place to chill out definitely.
My fav Great Eastern office among the 5 I've been for over 30 years.
Change of new stores quite often. Hope for better shopping experience
It is one of the great Malls with many amenities and shops for all ages! You can bring your family there for fun and laughter! There is a playground at the TOP floor for kids. My family went there and had a great experience there and will definitely go back there again!
It’s one of the best shopping malls in the west part of Singapore.
Mall has many eateries especially those located at level 1. In term of shopping experience it is not that fantastic. West gate is usually crowded during the weekdays afternoon and evening as there are many business units which are around the area. Furthermore, it is next to the public hospital which also draw some crowd who are in transit. It will be nice to see the mall arrange more activities and events.
Kids friendly with lots of space for them to run around. Also have a wide variety of food to consider for meals and chill out. Happy hour promotion are available. Live music too.
Westgate carries nice products that I like. It carries new brands like Fila, Anta and others. It's a great place to dine and shop.
A giant mall within walking distance to jurong east mrt station. Many shops, from food to fashion, is located there. Very clean with air conditioner to cool you down. Staff are helpful, kind, friendly and cheerful. Had our meal there and it is delicious. Even had a playground at the top. What a great experience!
Love the range of shops but feels like a maze in there. I get overwhelms easily.
The children playground above is interesting though just that the particular day that I went, most of the parents looks like they are not having fun...how sad.
Probably swings for adults?
Shopping mall that you will need sport shoes, coz everything connected you just really want to walk explore..
I come here for become personal shopper for my customers and yes some stuff i found here!!!
Nice shopping centre. Needs more directory maps bcos the basement levels are separated by car parking.
Salad bar, I like it.
This mall has the most wonderful rooftop playground and water play area - all free - and a great challenge for kids who love to climb. Superb variety of retail and dining concepts too.
Big mall. Very crowded during weekends
Aircon.many shops but atas
Lots of places to eat, a large variety of shops. Easy to get there even though it is hidden by construction works at Jurong East MRT Station.
Went for lunch @Hanok...
Superb Korean dishes...beverages such as d Yuza hot tea n bandung yogurt lychee drink.....reasonable price....great staff n service...
Would definitely make a comeback!
Nice place to shop and lots of food stalls. In fact you can get everything under 1 roof.
Loads of food options from levels 1 to 5. Shopping is great too. Nice gardens at the upper floors to hangout at night when its not hot.
good mall but lost its glory after Isetan left, now is occupied by china supermarket and Harvey Norman
My — and my wife's — favourite dig right now is the Bebe Goreng Pak Ndut's outlet, located at B1 of Westgate. It is accessible from a dedicated escalator, right outside one of the entrances.
The last time we were there, a queue had formed, due to the limited number of seats. I suppose the diners were enjoying themselves too much (as my wife and I were) to relinquish the seats sooner.
We had a dish of scrumptious fried chicken with white rice, a bowl of sour soup, and a delicious helping of chendol. The meal was perfectly splendid, and we had a lively chat that we forgot that a line is waiting for us to finish up, outside.
The staff had a professional way of letting us know of this, and we left soon after they clear up the dishes. This itself earn Westgate the 5-star.
Shopping center in Singapore where, in addition to many shops, there are various recreational activities for the little ones (for example an art school and a teaching point for the principles of computer science and robotics) as well as pure entertainment.
31-10-2023 Comment: I went out for a meal with my eldest daughter again today. This time they chose to eat at the snack restaurant "Lotte Dynasty" in Westgate Plaza in Jurong East. After arriving, they ordered several home-cooked snacks and desserts, including: original steamed dumplings, shredded radish cakes, fried noodles with osmanthus meat (photo missing), pork chop fried rice, pan-fried pumpkin cakes, and palace donkey rolling , aloe vera, osmanthus honey, Pu'er tea, etc. However, these side dishes are relatively soft foods, which are delicious and suit my taste. I have ordered these foods every time I have been here before. Time passed quickly. After I had eaten, I stayed in the square for a while. At this time, my daughter said that she wanted to go home to deal with some things, so she took me home first!
Today I just went to Lotte Dynasty for dinner with my daughter. After eating, we went home and didn’t go around for a while. Therefore, I don’t know much about the situation and cannot provide correct and detailed information. Thank you!
Ok, delicious food, diverse...
There are many shops near the MRT station and they are very spacious. There is a large and fun children's play area on the top floor, which is great~~
Taking the middle and upper route, there are many famous restaurants and brand-name shops on the B2 floor. There are 328 Katong Café, Vietnamese restaurants, etc.
He look like two big shopping mall joint together, but, no direction board, difficult to look for restaurant, it will be easier to find cystal jade if I go there again, is ok lah, from MRT go into mall easily, very inconvence for me oohs....☺️😁 Jiang Lizhu (Singapore)
