I was fetching my wife home at the KTPH taxi stand yesterday, on 24.7.24, and as I approached the taxi stand, there were 2 taxis waiting. As we were reaching the taxi stand, with me pushing my wife on a wheelchair who just had a day-surgery operation on her right leg, the taxi waiting in the front most position of the queue, started very slowly to move off. He must have seen me from his rear view mirror and most probably thought that taking me and my wife would be a hassle. Luckily for me, the second taxi had no qualms on taking me and my wife on. Due to his good service, at the end of the trip, I even gave him a small tip. Each and every one of us citizens of Singapore are mostly workers of a different skilled area. I dare say the majority of us worked hard for our money. We should realise that and help out each other in good times and bad. Never take advantage of the situations and help out whenever we can. So far, in most of my encounters with the majority of taxi or PHV drivers, they are mostly courteous, friendly, and helpful. I always try to initiate small talk to make the trip pleasant. Although there are a minority of them who pretend to be deaf and refuse to reciprocate even after I made some efforts. To these people, I believe they did not mingle much with others and, in turn, had a negative feeling towards people of other races, hence, in turn, becoming a racist person. Very unfortunate indeed... I am sorry that I do not have any photo to share...

Observed that there are very kind staff on standby to help passengers in need, eg the staff help to carry the bags for passengers while they board the car, or help to close the wheelchairs.
