Reviews of Everyday Tour Company - Bespoke Food, Design & Culture Walks
We did the Street Art and Street Food tour, hosted by Kelvin - and it was such great fun! We were a group of 3 adults (2 visiting from Mexico and 1 who lives in Singapore). Strongly recommend if you’re in Singapore and looking to learn more about Little India and Chinatown.
Kelvin was super friendly, and seemed to know almost everyone in the hawker centers and stalls we visited. He was full of interesting facts about the history of those neighborhoods, and made sure we were well fed (stuffed, really) at the end of the tour. He did an awesome job!
Looking forward to trying another one of their tours sometime soon!
I had the wonderful experience of having a private tour with Kelvin. I reached out last minute to help create a private and catered tour for first time Singapore visitors. Communication was friendly, immediate, professional, and very very patient. When we actually met with Kelvin, he was extraordinary! I've had tours both group and personal all over the world, and Kelvin hands down was my favorite. He was extremely engaging and informative. He definitely understood what our group was looking for and was able to provide an extraordinarily insightful tour. He had visual aids that I haven't seen before (both online or at the museums) and also spoke from a very personal perspective which was refreshing. To be able to see Singapore with someone who was genuinely happy to share it was definitely an experience to never forget. Thank you so much Kelvin and Everyday Tour Company!
I rarely write reviews, but my experience with PS from Everyday Day Tour in Singapore was one I couldn't resist sharing. When I reached out to PS last minute, she accommodated me with remarkable promptness—just three hours later, I was embarking on an unforgettable journey through Singapore.
What stood out to me the most was the personalized nature of the tour. It was a private one-to-one tour (although PS also conducts group tours), PS made me feel like I was exploring Singapore with a close friend who was eager to share her hometown's treasures.
Having our own car allowed us to cover an impressive number of spots in just a few hours. As I was on a tight schedule due to it being a business trip, this flexibility was invaluable. PS's extensive knowledge of the city shone through as she provided historical insights and practical tips tailored to my interests and needs.
But what truly made the experience exceptional was the conversational tone of the tour. It felt less like a scripted guide leading me around and more like a genuine exchange with a friend, filled with fascinating insights and anecdotes. Our pace was entirely up to me—we sped up in places of interest and lingered in others, ensuring I got the most out of every stop.
One memorable highlight was stumbling upon “Chanel pop up”that we decided to explore on a whim. It's moments like these that truly make a tour unforgettable.
To top it off, PS went above and beyond by assisting me with navigating the city for some last-minute shopping needs at the end of the trip.
In summary, touring Singapore with PS was an absolute delight. If you're looking for a personalized, insightful, and thoroughly enjoyable tour experience, look no further than Everyday Day Tour with PS.
Being introduced to some delicious local flavours while P.S shared stories and insights to the community and history of the areas visited was a truly special way to get a sense of Singapore below the surface! P.S is an exceptionally warm, knowledgeable, and funny guide and we appreciated her kindly accommodating one of our group who required gluten free. It was a pleasure to hear from some of the vendors too. We left full but already planning our return to the places visited! If you’re looking for a fun and informative tour of Singapore, this is the one!
What a wonderful tour! Lots of information, delicious food (most of which I had tried for the first time) & great company! I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Singapore.
Had a company event food tour with PS, Angel and Alvin. Angel was the guide for my group and it has been as awesome day out. She was very informative and funny. All the team members had a great time and i highly recommend engaging them for your team activities!
We loved this food tour with PS! We were a group of 8 and asked for a private tour. It was the perfect way to start our trip - all the food was delicious and we also got a good intro into Singapore culture. We could even customise some of the options for vegetarians and specific dishes that people wanted to try. PS was super friendly and organised, she made sure we had some breaks out of the heat and everyone was comfortable. Highly highly recommend!
Interesting tour to understand Singapore!
One significant point: creating an inclusive housing environment
PS is a great tour guide, she took us to some great places and was able to give us some great information and history of the areas we visited. The food along the way was awesome, we are really glad to have been able to get to see great parts of Singapore seamlessly without the hassle of navigating the places and local foods ourselves
Very happy tourists
Such an informative tour showcasing not only the best sights of Little India and Chinatown in Singapore, but also the sheer variety of scrumptious hawker cuisine that's available at very affordable price points. PS was also a great storyteller, and made sure to involve everyone during the tour so that they got the most out of it. Thanks for the lovely experience!
We just wrapped up a tour with Kelvin (Street Art and Food Tour) for our family of four and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great way to kick off our time in Singapore. We learned a lot about the country, and its diverse food culture and people. We were able to try many different foods we’ve never had. Being from NYC, that says a lot because we are exposed to quite a bit of different foods already. We were so stuffed at the end that Kelvin had some of our food as take away instead. Kelvin was just great! He was informative but kept us moving along without feeling rushed and found spots for us to rest at while waiting for the food. We really enjoyed our experience with Kelvin and would’ve missed out if we did not go on this tour. Kelvin did not bring us to the typical spots that I can likely Google myself and we appreciate that. Highly recommend!
We spent the morning with P S exploring the wonderful neighborhoods of Little India and Chinatown while trying exceptional Singaporean specialities - and - learning about the history, culture and daily life in Singapore. This experience is the most thoughtful (& delicious) introduction to all that Singapore has to offer. Trying the diverse food & drink offerings at the hawker centers - and walking through the backstreets that are rich in culture new & old, helps give a deeper appreciation for what an amazing place Singapore is. The highlight of course is having P S as your guide - she has put together a fabulous experience, she is warm, intelligent & full of incredible insights on both food & culture. Like all good hosts - she feels like an instant new best friend - full of tips and insider secrets - and she makes sure that you get to try the best of the best - plus so much more. Do not hesitate to book this experience - you will be all the richer for having the opportunity to hang out with P S and see & taste a little of Singapore with her.
In collaboration with Capella Singapore, this tour takes you hidden gems and lets you get into the melting pot that is Singapore. On this bespoke tour we visited Little India and Chinatown. Our guide was PS and she was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating to our needs.
We got to immerse ourselves in the hustle and bustle of Little India during Deepavali and it was busy was exciting. With garlands of fresh flowers, brightly coloured items, and sweets, it was well and truly a sight to see. We also got to visit a Hindu temple as well. Lots of street art for us to look at. At the end of this portion of the tour, Ps had a gorgeous box of Indian sweets for us to sample.
The next portion of the tour took us to Chinatown. We stopped by really fantastic and well formed art work on the walls which was fascinating and also interactive. Makes for some great pictures. We stopped by a Buddhist temple. At the end of the tour we had some lovely hawker food which adds to this immersive experience. Final stop is at a coffee house for a well earned beverage.
There is a bit of walking but there will be vans to transport you to each place. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing that covers your shoulders and knees as the temples require this.
I would highly recommend this tour as PS gave great historical facts, interesting tidbits and was extremely hospitable.
Thanks Kelvin for the detailed introduction and sharing during the tour.
1 thing to improve: shouldn't get the participants to walk on grass. That patch of grass outside oasis has reddish soil and dog's stools.
Many of us are wearing white shoes hence stained with reddish soil. It's more appropriate to lead us walking on proper pathways.
My family did a tour of Chinatown by Kelvin. First of all ETC were very responsive and flexible with the initial arrangements. During the tour Kelvin was fabulous and very accommodating with our toddler in tow and some of my father’s quirky questions. It was nicely paced for us with some air conditioning breaks which was muchly appreciated. We tried a variety of local foods, learnt some history, saw street art and temples with some good conversation. Highly recommend especially for first time visitors to Singapore!
PS was so knowledgeable. I’ve been to Singapore many times but learnt so much more on this tour. Incredible!! Will be telling all my friends and clients to book a tour with PS when they come to Singapore
Kelvin was absolutely amazing. He has great knowledge and experience in a great array of topics and is so patient with all of our questions. He was incredibly hospitable and made sure to give us the best food and beverages! Would highly recommend to anyone!
P.S. is the way to go if you want to get a tour of Singapore. Great communication, easy transaction, customized to fit our foodie tastes and she is just a fun person to hang out with. She arranged the sites and the driver. She has done a lot of research on the history and shared with us what it means to be a Singaporean of Chinese ethnicity. Book P.S. now for a well rounded tour with lots of treats along the way (durian, Kaya toast, Malay food, chicken, coffee and on and on and on)!
The HDB tour was great! Carey took us where we would never have went on our own and we learned a lot.
The street art and food art tour was fun, informative, delicious and we left filled with food and information about Singapore past and present. Kelvin was knowledgeable, upbeat and considerate. Highly highly recommended!!
PS and Kelvin were amazing! This was our first time in Singapore and they showed us so many amazing sights. They are with you the entire time and are both extremely knowledgeable and engaging. If you are looking for a tour these guys are world class.
Highly recommend this tour! You get to try so many different kinds of foods and see all sorts of different parts of Singapore. I did this when I first got to Singapore and I think it’s the perfect way to get to know the city.
Fantastic tour of various shops in Little India and Chinatown. Kelvin was amazing!
What a fantastic trip with P S! The trip was well organised, not a single second wasted. We learnt the history of Singapore and tasted some beautiful street delicacies.
P S is a great photographer too. We love the photos she's taken for us:-)
Loved the local and interactive experience of Singapore. Especially the history of different cuisines and cultures. Singapore Truly is a melting pot. Thanks Angel and Alvin for doing an awesome job!!
My friend and I went on the Public Housing Tour with Kelvin and it was amazing! He was super knowledgeable and put up with our (countless) questions about the city, housing, and living in Singapore. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn about Singapore life!
Carey provided a truly informative and valuable tour. Thanks to them, I had a very enlightening time learning about HDB. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the history and types of HDB.
The tour we took was really about the everyday of Singaporeans. We got to know all about the how real Singaporeans live in Singapore
Fantastic experience, Kelvin was a great host who made us discover Singapore. A great experience even for locals
Thank you so much
If you are in Singapore, make time for a food & art tour with P S - we are big travellers & both agreed this tour is in the top league! But book ahead as groups are small (👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼) and, importantly, don’t eat beforehand as food & drink tastings are plentiful & substantial! P S is very kind, generous & very knowledgeable about her own cultures but also globally as she is also a traveller & has lived & worked abroad. We loved her easy interactions with stall holders in the Hawker markets & really appreciated her advice about food/drink choices. Thanks again, P S!
Carey is a 5* tour guide. Knowledgeable and talkative
I highly, highly recommend the public housing tour. Since 80% of Singaporean residents live in government-sponsored public housing, I felt that learning more about these high-rise buildings around the city was key to really understanding Singapore itself. PS was a wonderful tour guide! As someone who grew up in public housing herself, lived abroad in the US & Europe, and currently owns her own unit now, she has the perfect insider knowledge to give a thorough, interesting, engaging tour. My friend and I peppered her with a hundred questions as we went along, and PS was delighted to answer every one of them. The tour had snacks, drinks, ice cream, and plenty of places to stop and rest, but the best part was spending the afternoon with a local resident who truly loves her city and was eager to share that love with us. Next time I’m here, I will definitely sign up for one of PS’s other tours!
I cannot recommend this tour enough! PS is so knowledgeable (and super kind and friendly, too). We didn’t really know what to expect, but we were attracted to her Public Housing tour because we were curious to hear more about how the average Singapore citizen lives. It was so cool to learn more about how Singapore develops its communities, urban development, and the day-to-day experience for most people. We had a million questions for her, and she answered all of them — patiently and thoroughly! We also tried a number of tasty Singaporean treats, which I wasn’t totally expecting. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
Very informative. Great insights into everyday life in Singapore.
Having been in Singapore for little over 4 years now, I have been to China town a few times and thought I knew all or most of it...However, my trip with Pei, revealed a completely different angle to the place. Pei has curated the routes and the points of interests with a lot of love and passion and it shows in her narrative...I highly recommend it! Thanks Pei.
P S is amazing! What a great tour. P S is so passionate and knowledgable, on top of being super personable and engaging. Delicious food (so much of it) and a huge variety on a relatively short tour. Great at facilitating groups of new friends, too - not all guides can do that! This is a MUST DO, especially early on in Singapore. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the wonderful tour. We really enjoyed learning more about the history and sights of this place. Your insights were very informative and engaging. Highly recommend. Kudos to PS.
Our tour of Singapore with P.S was most enjoyable. At first meeting it was like catching up with an old friend. Her knowledge on the food, culture and arts is comprehensive to say the least. She was accommodating of our "picky eater" and encouraging with the adventurous among us. I highly recommend that you book your tour with this business. You won't regret it.
PS and Kelvin were wonderful hosts!
The tour itself is great, not simply a food tour but also involves a bit of the history of the places we visit.
I enjoyed everything we ate and am extremely grateful for how PS accommodated my food restrictions without compromising the tour for the others. Great overall! Highly recommend!
My family and I try and do food tours when visiting a new city or country and this FoodTour was one of our favorites yet! P.S. was so personable and knowledgeable !
She showed us areas and introduced foods of Singapore that we would have missed out on if we were exploring on our own.
Kekvin was a fantastic guide. We enjoyed listening to his stories and the gourgeous food. Thanks a lot!
PS was very flexible with our ever changing requirements and the team (including guides) delivered the tour very well! Very engaging and many fond memories made :)
PS took 8 of us on a fantastic walking food tour through Chinatown. In addition to the fun food, we learned and saw a lot of historical and cultural things about Singapore. It was a lot of fun and we had many laughs. PS was awesome!
The Everyday Secrets of Singapore Public Housing Tour was a great introduction to the city and the way that people live here. P.S is an excellent, easygoing guide and is clearly passionate about her home and the unique achievements of the HDB. The tour is well organized to cover a lot in a small amount of time, and P.S had many recommendations for what to do next/how to find out more. The intimate format of the tour meant there was lots of time for questions, as well as time to try local coffee and treats. Great for planning and housing enthusiasts, but also a great way to catch a glimpse of ordinary life, away from the tourist circuit.
Went on a street art mural tour with PS as our tour guide and she was absolutely amazing! Despite being born and bred in Singapore, there is still so much for me to learn and PS has given me great insights to the Indian and Malay community of this multi racial country.
Not only did we get Instagramable pictures during the tour, we got a video montage of where we went to at the end of the day. These street art murals look amazing but what made it even more significant is the story behind them.
PS has also recommended so much great food throughout the tour and I was honestly so tempted to try out everything. But since my appetite doesn’t allow for it, I’m already planning my next trip back to the food stalls 😊
P.S. is a wonderfully enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. She helped lead bespoke tours around some of Singapore’s most interesting neighborhoods, and our group will be leaving the island with full minds and full stomachs. Thanks P.S.!
Wonderful job of showing the local foods! He was very warm and friendly!! Thank you!!
I had an excellent experience with PS. She taught me so much about food, culture, life, and art in Singapore. She showed me new foods and dishes that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own and answered all of my many questions. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour while visiting Singapore to learn beyond the surface level.
Our time with PS was amazing! She was very accommodating for our family, she was insightful, well-connected, and moved at a pace that was perfect for us. The highlight of our Singapore visit!
Incredible experience! How else could we have seen and enjoyed so much of Singapore in one day?! Thanks so much!!
I’ve lived in Singapore for over 30 years - and never had the opportunity to explore Singapore like i have with PS. It was wonderful to be introduced to important architectural homes as well as places of worship and the changes that they had to accommodate to the local climate. PS is very knowledgeable and I enjoyed my afternoon spent with her!
PS gave an incredible tour. We visited a variety of amazing places to eat. I learned a lot about the cuisine and history of Singapore. I had a great time touring the city with PS. This was one of the best tours I have ever taken.
Such a wonderful experience! PS is so knowledgeable, not only about food but also local culture and history. She was extremely friendly to our group and has an obvious connection with the vendors and restaurants we visited. 100% recommend this tour, and also recommend doing it at the beginning of your stay in Singapore to get a personal view of the city, feel more comfortable visiting spots you might not alone, and because PS hosts an AMA at the end, so you can get advice on other things to see and do, or simply get travel tips.
We had a wonderful tour of Chinatown with P.S yesterday! Not just the touristy bits but we also explored the fringes and learnt so much about the history of Singapore. My boys really enjoyed checking out all the murals and tracking them in their little booklets. We then went to Chinatown Complex food court for the Yusheng (prosperity salad) experience. P.S ensured that she got us the vegetarian option very quickly. The boys also got ang paos from her and we all read our fortunes as per our sign - Horse, Dog, Snake etc. It was a truly special, authentic and bespoke experience. I'll definitely be booking many more tours with P.S again!
Excellent guide from Kelvin. He is very productive and provide the various info.
Thank you PS for an insight and wonderful Tour of Singapore! I loved learning about the history and murals of how Singapore became singapore today. Also the authentic Singapore snacks along the way were SO GOOD!!
Appreciate you taking me and my partner around and teaching us about SG
Such a cool experience! Kelvin was an amazing guide -- super knowledgeable and entertaining!
I'm Singaporean and residing in KL currently. Haven't been back to SG in over a year. So glad I participated in the Crazy Rich Asian virtual tour. PS, our host, took us on a virtual tour around key locations in Singapore that was part of the film. She also imparted good information on the history and facts of Singapore. We had little fun quizzes along the way and she kept the tour very interactive. Would highly recommend her tours. So do keep a look out for the next one. ☺️
I highly recommend Everyday Tour Company's walking tours of Singapore! PS is a fountain of knowledge, and the small group format is great. Her tours generously and respectfully bring us to unexpected sites, and explore the historical and contemporary nuances of Singaporean life. A great way to learn about Singapore! Wonderfully paced with a balance of exploration and moments of reprieve from the heat of the city.
Had a great time making the Singapore Sling with Everyday Tour Company as part of a virtual event. Ingredients were delivered over to my place promptly and in great condition, and the instructions given were clear and concise. Most importantly, the cocktail was delicious! Will definitely do this again :) Thanks so much for this experience!
Thanks for the wonderful experience! The Singapore Art Week sketching workshop combined some introduction to the history and architecture of the area with hands-on a drawing session. The workshop was well integrated, well researched and thought through. Even though I am a local, I learnt some new things about the area! I especially appreciated the tips that the guide shared on how to include travel sketching into my own travels. This tour is well worth and time and money.
WOW!!! There are so many things that I didn't know about Singapore (being a Singaporean myself)!!
My mom and I enjoyed the Art Deco Architecture Tour walking around Tiong Bahru. The food is great, the murals are nostalgic and the estate is simply beautiful... of course not forgetting our super friendly and engaging guide - PS.
PS did a wonderful tour of HDBs. She was very professional, on-time, and responsive in her communications. Her knowledge of HDBs and Singapore was very evident in her organization of the agenda and how she led the discussions. It was a logical progression that helped me learn the history, the current state, and where the HDBs were heading to in the future.
I also had a separate private Singapore History tour with PS. She was able to custom design a tour to my interests. I highly recommend her.
Absolutely fascinating! I learned so much about Singapore’s history and P.S. took us to the best food places. We have done two tours so far (HDB and Tiong Bahru) and 100% plan on more. This is fun with friends or even colleagues—I plan on taking my team on a tour.
PS, I love you! We did the street food tour, and it was incredible. PS has a vibrant energy, a depth of knowledge, and a wonderful presence. The tour was replete with delicious food, local history, and rich culture. Would do all over again. Do yourself a favour and come hungry.
Great tour with PS. She is passionate about her city and her people. We love learning about the Public Housing and taste some yummy treats. PS went above and beyond to make our experience unique. Highly recommended.
We joined street art and street food tour, and it was the most memorable part of our trip to Singapore. She blended stories and food of Singapore so well that we could see so many places which wouldn't have noticed without her.
I went on the online experience "On the Trail of the Crazy Rich Asians" and loved it! As a Singaporean living overseas it's nice to see familiar sights yet learn new things about them. PS was very helpful with specific suggestions, and told us which stalls to go to, and at what time to avoid the crowds. Highly recommended!
This is a must-do while in Sinagpore and a highlight of our trip. P S was a wonderful host during our walking tour. When we arrived at the meeting place, our small group of 6 was next to a different walking group of 20 people and I appreciated that the intimate size of our group allowed us to have more personal connections and engaging conversation with P S. And we could get into more nooks and crannies in the markets and hawker centers, since there weren’t too many of us (which is the intent in order to give a more detailed tour). P S took us to see some street art and gave us food tastings that I never would have found on my own. And she provided lots of information about the culture and traditions behind the neighborhoods, art and recipes. When the heavy Singapore rains surprised us in the middle of our tour, P S was ready with ponchos for those of us not prepared to get wet. It was a great overview of two wonderful neighborhoods and their history and cuisine.
I booked a walking food tour with PS and I'm so glad that I did. She was a great guide: easy to talk to and willing to answer any and all questions. It felt like I had a friend in town showing me around! I learned some history and had yummy food. PS also sent a follow-up email listing other recommendations, which was helpful. Thanks again, PS! I had a great time.
Great experience in Singapore! Don't miss it🌟
We embarked on the Kampong Glam trail and it was fun learning about the street art, Sultan Mosque and Malay Heritage Center. PS is very knowledgeable and a good guide. Definitely will try other routes in the future!
This was no ordinary tour experience, there was a lot of interaction, engagement. Not only that, even as a local, I found that I had so much more to learn and appreciate about the place I call home.
P.S was engaging and I certainly enjoyed my time. The hour flew by too fast!
This tour was a lot of fun. PS is a great guide, sharing her local food and art knowledge as well local history. Getting off the tourist track was a great experience. I thought this was very good value and highly recommend the street food and street art tour.
We booked a food tour and had the best time ever. Our guide was funny, fun and knowlegable. We learnt not just about the history and architecture, but about the real lives of the locals.
Super!
Everyday Tour Company curated an interesting itinerary that is customized to one's unique sense of adventure! Highly recommended for anyone who wants a Michelin star guided tour experience!
An amazing tour and a brilliant guide - a total highlight of my trip to Singapore.
Very inspring, a great chance to get a glance on how’s the daily life looks like in Singapore
Charismatic and super knowlegable tour guide.
Joined the Crazy Rich Asians virtual tour. It was very enjoyable, interactive, informative and engaging.
A wonderful tour by P.S.
What more we can ask for!!!
Very interactive, friendly and much informative tour!!!!
Sightseeing and restaurants are great, but if you want to learn about other parts of Singapore, I definitely recommend the Public Housing Tour. You can learn about Singapore's common people's lifestyle and culture with PS's informative explanations. Definitely recommend!
When you look at the light and see it, look at it and see it. Partitioning, opening, studying, thinking, public Housing Tourをお勧めします!PSの充実な説明と共に、シンガポール庶民の生活文化に関してべます。是非お勧めです!
I booked the Foot & Street Art Tour quite spontaneously over the phone. The next morning we set off on foot and by MRT through Little India and Chinatown. Pei S. obviously enjoys showing us around the markets, picking out delicious snacks and introducing us to “her” Singapore. Asking questions was expressly allowed and so we not only learned something about food and art, but also about the country and its people, religion, politics and economics. In the end we were well fed and a lot more knowledgeable. My conclusion: A fantastic end to my 3-day trip to Singapore! The advantages of a tour with a maximum of 6 participants and with a local are obvious.
My goal was to try local food and it was achieved with flying colors. Furthermore, cultural aspects of Singapore are discovered. PS was very prepared and made herself available to answer my (many) questions.
For the first time, as a group of five, we participated in a half-day tour of Little India and the characteristic cultural streets of Katong Joo Chiat. The content is rich and the whole process is enjoyable. I saw Indian handicraft shops, spice shops, confectionery shops, clothing shops, and restaurants. I saw colorful buildings in Katong Joo Chiat, Nyonya specialty cultural and creative shops, and restaurants.
