Reviews of Paws fur Life
Ginger was having chronic stomach problems for almost a year and despite us consulting her regular vet, the root cause wasn’t identified and with constant medication, the problem continued to persist and it became worse because the reoccurrence became more regular. Overtime, it caused her to have a stiff back as a result of the pain she experienced in her tummy because she would hunch. She became less active, sleeps all the time and her overall mood just wasn’t great. She stopped moving much and even stopped wagging her tail and it broke our hearts so badly.
Whilst asking around for another vet recommendation we could possibly seek a second opinion from regarding her tummy, we got to know about the Canine massage service provided by Paws fur Life. We read up about them and decided to give it a try because we will do whatever it takes for Ginger to feel better and be happy.
The first session proved to be effective because Ginger pooped so much the next morning — this is not abnormal because Karen advised us that she might poop more than usual since the massage is also a form of detox. Fast forward 4 months and 8 sessions later, Ginger is now back to her old “naughty”, active, demanding self and reclaimed her “throne” in the house (see attach photo of her on her standing on top of our sofa). Before she was unwell, this was her regular spot where she would typically jump onto and chill on a daily basis. Her posture is much better with no hunch backs and stiff legs; we can even see her wagging her tail now! Over the course of the 4 months, Ginger also started enjoying her fortnightly sessions with Karen and looks forward to a relaxed and detox massage every single time. We are so happy to witness Ginger’s recovery journey and we will continue to visit Karen as long as it helps Ginger regain her mobility and health!
We highly recommend canine massage session with Paws fur Life because it worked for our baby and for us as pawrents because we too can learn to be more mindful of our fur kids posture, general well being and quality of life. What’s more important than having a happy and healthy dog?
I attended the course and it was really fun and empowering. We learnt alot of massage techniques and applied hands on to our dogs on the spot. I was really impressed to see all the dogs sleeping soundly midway and till the end of the lesson. I highly recommend attending.
I recently attended the cooking class and enjoyed every bit of it. Siew Leng is very detailed and her passion for pet nutrition shines through in her teaching, making the class engaging and informative. I now feel confident in preparing well balanced meals for my senior chihuahua and highly recommend this class to all pet owners with pets of all ages!!
A wonderful experience with Siew Leng! Lots of learnings whilst creating a well-balanced diet, home cooked meal for my furbaby, Maple. Truly worth the 3-hour session and I highly recommend this for other pawrents to try as well!
Today attended the ‘Be Your Fur Kid’s Masterchef’ session, and it was incredibly informative and rewarding. The instructor (Siew Leng) did a fantastic job explaining how to create balanced, nutritious meals tailored for dogs. They covered essential nutrients, appropriate portions, and even shared tips on how to make meal prep easier while ensuring the food is both healthy and appetizing for our pets. I now feel confident in preparing home-cooked meals that will benefit my dog’s health. A must-attend for any pet parent looking to elevate their dog’s diet!
A very detailed and informative presentation. Learn alot from it and bring home lots of benefits for my furry grandson indeed. A very clean n comfortable environment and very warm coaches. Will surely recommend to friends.
Brought my senior furkid for a massage after attending a talk on "Massage your dog".
My 18 year old mini schnauzer has arthritis, among other health issues like pancreatis and kidney problem. Lately she's not as active as before and sleeps most of the time. After the massage, it's amazing that she can actually walk around the massage studio and had a sniff fest, something which she missed doing.
Karen is very patient and gentle. My dog feels so relaxed and thoroughly enjoys her massage. Can't wait for her next massage session.
Attended the Massage with TTouch Bodywork Course the next day. Brought my furkid for a hands on. The course is very interactive. Karen gave lots of information and shared the massage techniques which we practise with our dogs. Back home, I've been giving doggie her massage daily. She's able to stand and walk, something which she's not been doing for the past month. Thanks Karen.
Brought my 2 dogs to this class today and it was super insightful!
Karen has very good knowledge about TTouch massage as well as which conditions are good to do more of certain types of massage.
The environment is very relaxing. One of my dogs has seizure issues n despite that, he was able to relax and sit n lie down after awhile. Though he still has seizure episodes during the class, I m thankful Karen and rest of participants are patient with the episodes.
I had a much better understanding of massage, the strokes and most importantly the pressure applied on them.
Highly recommend the course for all dog owners as it will help u understand pain points of your dog and how to relief their pain. Great for dogs of all ages!
1) The trainer, Siew Leng is friendly, patience, knowlegable, passionate, well versed and professional in delivering the importance of having balanced and healthy diet for our fur kids.
2) Siew Leng generously shared with us on her thoughts and knowledges. Cleared explanations were given when questions were raised.
3) The lively cooking workshop was well organized with a small group of participants. Hence, we could interact amongst ourselves and trainer to the fullest with lots of laughters
4) After the workshop, I gained the knowledge in
a) planning a balanced and healthy diet for my fur kid.
b) creating meals with wide varieties of protein, carbohydrates, vegetables and fruits to achieve the essential nutrients.
c) understanding the importance of freshly cooked foods affecting the health of our fur kids
d) selecting and adding the correct amount for the essential supplements into the daily meals
5) Highly recommended for all fur kids parents to attend this workshop with no regrets.
6) Lastly, iI served my 6 mths old puppy with the Chicken Stew for dinner that I cooked in the workshop. She loves it soooooo much. Complete the meal with 2 pcs of dog bone cookies. Awesome!! They were so fragrant and yummy. I tasted myself. Hahaha.
7) Fur Kids' Parents!!! Quickly sign up for the workshop for the health benefits of your lovely and royal fur kids.
Attended the cooking course by Siew Leng as I was always worried that cooked food do not provide all the necessary nutrients for my pup. The course was very informative and the hands on experience in cooking dogs' food & treats was helpful in ensuring that we do not overcook the food which would destroy the nutrients. As such, I am now confident in cooking a balanced meal for my pup.
Karen’s expertise in canine massage is second to none. Provided a lot of insight and value through her delivery of her class.
Highly recommend you to enroll this class if you want to extend your dogs live.
Your dog will thank you for it!
Within a few hours, the effectiveness of Karen's technique could be observed with the increased activity of miko. It was a huge relief for us to see miko being more lively after being ill for months, which slowed miko down dramatically. At the start we had to do weekly sessions, and now every fortnight. Week by week, tgt with physio, miko is slowly getting the spring back into her paws. Always looking forward to our next session. Thank you and highly recommended!!
Attended the canine massage and TTouch Bodywork course this weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it. They let you bring your dog along if you want, for hands-on practise during the course. Highly recommend if you handle animals often (this massage benefits all animals, not just dogs).
Very informative, useful techniques for my dog’s physical well-being which will help with her emotional well-being too! Thanks, Karen!
Having 2 senior dogs passed away at age 17 and 18, I became more aware of how to take care of older dogs. And therapy and massage is highly recommended to improve their quality of life! Helps in their mobility and relieve them of aches and arthritis! Learnt the right technique and it’s useful for dogs of all ages. Don’t wait til it’s too late.
This is a course that I will recommend to all furkid owners. I thought that biting of paw was due to food or environmental allergy as per Vet nurse advise but I came to know that it's due to back pain only after taking this course. Ms Karen is an amazing teacher and very knowledgeable and calm with furkids. I do massage him all the time but with incorrect pressure and inappropriate strokes. My furkid loves when I massage him these days after I learnt the correct way. Very thankful for Ms Karen and all the courses that Pawsfurlife provides.
Charcoal and I attended PawsFurLife massage class last week. We both learnt so much from Karen. The course was insightful and nothing like the tips I picked up from YouTube or Instagram which could be really confusing. Charcoal’s sitting posture is already making a difference in less than a week of daily massage. T touch seems to be working amazing like magic too even i am using this technique to subside my own joint and muscle pain. Charcoal dozed off many times during the class while I practiced the techniques on her. 🤣 I recommend every pawrents or pet parents to attend this massage course! Notes are included to take home too!
it's good experience to learn more knowledge about home cooked food for dog. I understand more about the gentle cooking method.
Siew Leng's pet cooking class was both enjoyable and informative. She taught us about crafting balanced diets for dogs and patiently addressing all our queries. Her dedication to pet nutrition shines through, making the class invaluable for pet owners seeking to improve their furry friends' health. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their pet's diet!
Excellent Sunday with Karen at her practice, she is such a welcoming energy. She has passion for healing and care of animals - it truly shows. Her demonstrations of massage and TTouch techniques were helpful and I came back home to practice on my fur baby immediately. He suffers from arthritis so am looking forward to being able to help him mamage his pain and improve mobility with these skills. Thanks Karen!
Very informative if you want to cook a balanced meal for your furkid. The pace was just right and the class size is good for sharing and asking questions.
I attended Canine Massage with TTouch bodywork course with my furkid Akimi!
It was indeed a positive and rewarding session. Karen's knowledge and the techniques taught have helped me identify and soothe Akimi's pain points. Karen was also very patient in answering my questions.
Throughout the session, Akimi was very relaxed and truly enjoyed the massage. I feel that there are many benefit to canine massage and i would definitely recommend this class to other pawrents.
Very informative session which I get to learn a lot on how to give my dog massage to improve her general well being. Karen was very patient in addressing questions and also clarified some myths about massaging dogs which I all along had. Highly recommended!
I have attended the class on 20th May with my puppy. The class is well paced and covers a good range of topics to introduce the benefits of massage and simple techniques that can be applied for a beginner like me from day 1.
I would recommend attendees to join the class with your dog because Karen is both observant and experienced to point out problem areas e.g. stiff muscles and bad resting positions e.g. ‘suckling pig’ which will harm your dog in the long run.
The trainer is friendly , approachable, knowledgeable and attentive to us. She has shared some tips on how to do a good canine massage . After trying on my princess coco, she is happy and always let me massage on her daily.
I will advise dog owner to take up this course and do the massage for their dogs. There are so many benefits of dog massage and is worth to spend on this workshop.
Karen, the trainer is a very friendly, patience and knowledgeable. I am glad that I had attended the TTouch massage which I learnt the correct way to massage my furkid. Thank you so much for having us today.
The course was very informative but what I really loved about it was that it was practical. I feel that the tips given by Karen are very realistic and can definitely see myself massaging my dogs regularly. Also, I was rather worried about my dog being disruptive but Karen has a very calming presence and everything worked out well. Highly recommended but all dog owners as who doesn’t love and benefit from a good massage 😅
I like that the class size is kept at a small number which allows for more interaction and sharing if knowledge/questions. The trainer, Siew Leng is knowledgeable and passionate for good and wholesome food for dogs. Sources on Internet might be good enough for many of us but we will not know which is reliable source. I learnt where I have gone wrong and look forward to a youthful, healthy and happy Chewy!
He whacked the whole portion for the day!
I’m really glad to have attended the massage class by Karen. She’s very knowledgeable and shares very useful tips to help ease our Goldie muscle tightness due to his hip dysplasia condition. She even went the extra mile to advise us how to use the red light device (that we bought elsewhere) to further incorporate it together with the massage we can do for him. Would definitely recommend this course to others! 👍🏼👍🏼
I highly recommend the Dog Massage course for every dog owner, Karen was very knowledgeable and gave lots of useful information on how to handle and massage dogs. The course was very interactive and Karen gave very clear and concise instructions on the massage technique. I learned a lot today on how to improve my care for my anxious dog. I can’t wait to come back to try the cooking nutrition course!
Prior to attending the cooking class, I have already been cooking and feeling proud that my furkids are eating freshly cooked food. I was surprised to learn from the course, that despite my food being healthy, it was not balance as the meal was lacking in specific nutrients. Good that I attended the course as otherwise I would continue be giving unbalance meals to my furkids.
I recommend pawrents who are cooking for their furkids to attend the course. Thanks to Paws Fur Life!
So glad I signed up for this class! It’s definitely very insightful, Siew Leng shared a lot of useful info and was very patient in answering all our questions. The session was fun and informative, and I enjoyed the hands on learning. My furkid loved the treats and food I brought home from class! Thank u Siew Leng! Now I know there’s so many other ways of cooking food for her other than just steaming.
New skills and knowledge ! There quite a few stroke and techni .. Loved the detailed explanation and demonstration. Glad that I could bring my doggy along to practice on. They ve enjoyed too. Well spend afternoon!
We did a canine massage course recently under the guidance of Karen. We discovered this year that our 16yo dachshund is hard of hearing, in fact deaf. In less than 2 weeks after practising the massage on his ears, his hearing has improved!! Recently he would perk his ear up again when I call (well.. shout) his name, which has not happened for a couple of months since he became deaf.
We also enjoyed the little group session during the course with easy to follow massage techniques that we can easily practise at home with our furkids.
Would absolutely recommend Paws Fur Life to all dog moms, it’s great to learn how to release the muscle tensions with daily diy massage.
Highly recommended session for pawparents 🐶❤️ Siew Ling is extremely passionate and she has a big heart for dogs. The whole session was indeed an eye opener for me and you will realized there are things to be avoided or could do better, which you thought it is the right method, but may not be. I learnt a lot and Siew Liew ensure you understand and the engagement during the sessions was fruitful too👍 my dogs loveeeee the healthy meals so much they sniff and follow me around 😊😊 the meal you giving your furbabies, are they getting all the required nutrients? Balanced meal? ❤️🐶❤️🐶❤️
I had a wonderful learning experience (massage with TTouch) and highly recommend other pawrents to sign up for this. Karen is very patient and generous in sharing her knowledge. Would definitely comeback for the cooking class next!!
I enrolled in the “home cooking (for fur kids) made easy” class. Each of us had our own cooking station complete with utensils and stuff. Siew Leng is knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. I had a lot fun, trying the different methods of cooking for my dog. There was a lot to “tapau” home - which my dog loves. 3 hr lesson went by so quickly! Highly recommend :)
I am so thankful to have attended the cooking class conducted by Siew Leng. Her cooking class is so well organized and very informative! I learned so much from her class especially her online tutorial which is simple to understand and is an eye opener to the kibbles that I have been feeding my furry love for a decade! :-( Wished I had come across her classes sooner!!
Siew Leng is a very kind and genuine lady. She is also very compassionate, helpful and patient. Before attending her physical class, I have been texting her questions regarding nutrition and other matters for my 14 year old furry love who has been diagnosed with 1st stage kidney disease and she is very responsive and very open to share. She also took care to prepare separate ingredients which is suitable for my furry love. Thank you so much Siew Leng, I really appreciate you for conducting these classes to help educate people like me, who is so lost, to start cooking healthy food for my furry love!
I highly recommend the Dog Massage course for every dog owner. Karen was very knowledgeable and patient. She gave lots of useful tips and the course was very interactive. Would love to bring my dog back for the massage session 😃
My dog spring back to life from arthritis! I attended the massage class with Karen and in a week my 15 year old could walk up and down the stairs without assistance, appetite increase, and overall reverse in age. I am so grateful for this, and I hope every paw parent will consider this course.
I have TV time with my fur buddy and I could apply the techniques the trainer had shown us. Her session is easy to understand and I had enjoy it. The trainer, Karen is very patient with my dog who barked during session. Karen demonstrated how to calm her using the technique she taught. 👍
Been going to Karen for massage because we’re hoping to delay any cartrophen injections or oral supps lest it triggers her pancreatitis. initially I couldn’t tell if my senior BC girl, Mila’s arthritis got better cos of the weekly sessions or if it was caretaker’s bias that she’s always slightly more springy afterwards. But she had a 1-mth hiatus after about 6-7 sessions because she caught kennel cough from my other dog. During this month, her hind leg weakness got worse: a slight knock into her and she would fall. She was hobbling more than usual, possibly due to wet weather as well. The evening of the second session after we resumed the massage, she galloped a few steps into the house from the garden. Even my husband couldn’t believe it. The next morning, she completed the 1km walk with her siblings, although she started hobbling a little towards the end. This was significant because during the 1-mth hiatus, she couldn’t managed her usual 500m evening walks. My takeaway from this is, the massage absolutely works, with consistency. Very thankful for Karen’s intervention so we can avoid going to the vet.
Attended this cooking (for furkids) class with a friend and had a really great time! I went expecting to learn more but I was surprised at how much I learnt about nutrition for doggos and how to provide them with the best meals for their health! Every pawrent should attend this class, I really highly recommend it :)
Karen is very experience and humble lady. Knowing her 6-7 years ago. Attended massage course today and highly recommended to all furkid and pawrent. Learn & apply everyday to make our furkids happy & healthy 💜
Siew Leng’s Nutrition & pet cooking is a must for all pawrents to take. I have corrected lots of misconceptions abt stuff I read online. Moreover, after the course , I am 100% sure, confident and positive to cook a balanced diet meals for my furkid. I don’t have to doubt myself. Lastly, the course is properly paced, trainer is experienced, knowledgeable & passionate! Highly recommended 10/10!!!!
Paw Fur Life Cooking class has been a fun and rewarding experience for me both knowledge and practical aspects.
Teacher Siew Leng is very patient, obliging in answering my questions and unselfish to share her knowledge.
Definitely a class worth attending 👍🏻
A rare gem in the East. There are many pet business in singapore and Paw Fur Life is one of the business who really cares for animals wholeheartedly. My dog started on their massage service and I know my dog really enjoys the session. As long as he is happy, I am happy! Thanks for providing this service !!
Karen is great with my two dogs and Ttouch has helped with their pain and discomfort due to hip dysplasia, arthritis and old age. She also has a nifty wrap technique that almost instantly calms down my anxious dog with a phobia of thunderstorms.
I find the wrap helps in relieving canine anxiety, not only during thunderstorms, but in areas such as separation anxiety and skittishness. I find that he barks a lot less too when the wrap is on!
It has been around 2 weeks since attending the MasterChef session conducted by Siew Leng, and I've tried making 2 of the recipes taught by Siew Leng at home and my furry boy loves the recipes! Before attending the course, I was unsure of how and what to cook for my boy, and hence been pushing back making him 100% homecooked meals. After Siew Leng's patient and knowledgeable sharing (as my boy has a few medical issues that requires special care), I feel empowered and elated that I am finally able to cook for my boy. It has been almost a decade since he last ate any treats too, but he simply loves the chicken barkbone! It is also such a joy seeing him following me into the kitchen anticipating for his meals. Thank you so much Siew Leng for helping me to know how and what to give my boy!
I am fortunate to chance upon this Paws fur life does conduct classes teaching pawrents how to prepare a balanced homecooked meal. Now I have confidence to cook healthy balanced meals for my pet.
Attended the massage and TTouch bodywork class. Although I was unable to bring my furkid with me for the hands on but it was still a fruitful one. Karen, the trainer was able to make the session very interactive and cleared some of my doubts with regard to massaging and TTouch. Strongly recommended.
Is a good experience on how much to feed our paw and the amount of supplements to give. And you get to ask alot of questions which she's able to fill in the blank on dog food.
I decided to sign up for the course after I had noticed improvements in my cat’s health. The 3 hour course was very informative, well organised and engaging, Highly recommend pet owners to attend this course.
A fantastic opportunity to learn how to cook nutritious meals for our furry friends! 🐱🐶🍲
