Cara has been with WCVC for about a year now, mostly with Dr Heng. I’ve seen the other 2 vets but I still prefer Dr Heng — I personally feel he’s more sincere and detailed. One of the Dr misdiagnosed Cara’s first heat as UTI (I was a first time pawrent, so I brought her in to check), and recently encountered this Dr again during puppies 3rd vaccine — still didn’t like the way this Dr handled my dogs. Dr Heng has been very helpful in many ways especially when Cara needed a blood test urgently when she almost went into a fits when she had a calcium deficiency while nursing 5 pups. Dr Heng also just performed sterilisation surgery for Cara just 2 days ago (booked super last min) and he’s been kind to reply my enquiries via WhatsApp. I’m thankful to have a vet like Dr Heng, who’s dedicated in his work and sincere towards both animals and humans. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a vet in the west area.

Great nurses and doctor who's really attentive and helpful. We are dog sitters for a family member and werent experienced with pets and the nurses were very patient in guiding us how to do ear cleaning and putting medicine in the ear. We even had the opportunity to watch, video and record notes so that we can do it back home. The doc is also very patient in explaining to us the options so we could check in with the owner for the preferred treatment plan. Thanks so much for helping Coco get better!

Today I bring my kitten to do a sterilisation surgery with Dr Liang, she is very kind and patience. She give us a lot information and post-op instructions about how to take care our cats. Nurses are also very friendly. Both my cat do their regular check up here, service is good!

For skin issues, I cannot recommend Dr Liang enough. My dog belle (Singapore special) had very itchy, red and flaky skin all over her body and it affected her quality of life so badly. She would always be scratching day and night and her fur was dropping. We went to many different vets and received many diagnosis but nothing helped. In just a single visit to Dr Liang, she immediately diagnosed her correctly. Belle got all her fur back, and years of suffering and itch ended. Now I recommend strangers with SS dogs with skin problems to Dr Liang and they too had excellent results. Separately, belle tore her cruciate ligament in her senior years. We went back to west coast Vetcare and had an appointment with Dr Heng who was so sweet and gentle with belle, and was also able to identify her issue quickly and recommended us to a specialist (Landon Vet) who did an amazing job on her surgery. He also followed up on her well-being after our appointment which was really nice. Glad to finally have found a reliable and awesome vet for my dogs.

Wanted to leave a review for the clinic, esp Dr Heng who was in charge of our dog's first dental scaling. We had a really good experience when we brought our dog in for a dental scaling procedure late last year. Dr Heng was patient, empathetic and gentle towards our dog (who can be quite anxious even though we have been training him for this). As it was our dog's first dental scaling procedure, we were naturally a little worried but Dr Heng constantly gave us verbal affirmations through a thorough explanation of the procedure, taking time to clarify questions we had, building rapport with our dog (although our dog was very tensed) and so forth. He also personally explained to us the results of the blood tests etc and was just really professional & respectful throughout the whole process. Thank you for making our experience so pleasant!

It was a good visit as the vet immediately sprayed calming water when she saw my cat very stressed. I called the night before to book a slot for the next day and everything was good👍🏻

My cat went to West coast Vetcare last week because he can’t pee. In fact my cat just did once urinary catheter 2 weeks before this visiting in the other clinic. So my cat’s situation was not good. Dr. Tan and all the nurse are very professional and patience to treat my cat. During my cat stayed in clinic, they updated to me everyday. After my cat back home, they still keep concern my cat. So warming and loving. Even my cat hasn’t totally recover yet , I want to thanks Dr. Tan and the team. West coast Vetcare is not a big clinic, but so warm and friendly for pets.

This review is based on our interactions with Dr Melvin and Dr Heng, as we haven't had any appointments with Dr Liang before. Dr Melvin is highly skilled in surgery. both my dog and cat were under his excellent care for different procedures. Their wounds healed cleanly and quickly, and you can tell from the sutures and eventual scars what steady hands Dr Melvin has. My cat had to undergo an emergency procedure and due to my blurness, he was actually in pain for a few days before i realised what was happening. Not only were we lucky enough to have Dr Melvin take care of the problem that same evening, but he also taught us how to provide wound care and how to keep the area clean. Despite the wound being located in an area prone to infection, my cat's wound healed earlier than expected and remained infection free. Dr Heng is an excellent doctor and wonderfully patient with both animals and humans alike. My dog was very skittish in the beginning but he was so gentle and accommodating with her that she quickly warmed up to him. On more than one occasion, she has even tried to sneak back into his consultation room while waiting for me to pay the bill. Visits to the vet clinic are now enjoyable outings for our dog :) Dr Heng was also very willing to make time to answer our many many questions, and has always been willing to give his advice/opinion on things that we are unsure about. I would also like to give a special mention to the vet techs/assistants at Westcoast vetcare. They have been incredibly helpful in person and over the phone, addressing with my queries before and after the appointment with the vet. Sometimes, in other places, you almost get the feeling that you're imposing on their time, or bothering them with your requests. But at this clinic, through their prompt and detailed responses, I have never felt that way. In fact they even ask me more about various symptoms and want to find out more about why I am calling. I appreciate that they take the time to make sure that my dog/cat receive the medical care they need. I highly recommend the vets at Westcoast vetcare, you can rest assured that your animals will be in safe (steady) hands and that the doctors and staff all have your animals' well being at heart.

I've had previous bad experiences with other vets and I was apprehensive about trying new places. Since I've moved house, I decided to give them a go as they were closest to my new place. Booked an appointment for my cat's castration over the phone a few days ago... Came in at 10am yesterday. Saw the vet within 10 mins (as there was someone else in the queue before me). Dr Heng first did a thorough physical checkup on my cat, Jenga. Then, proceeded to explain to me the entire procedure with plenty of reassurances. He also gave an option of doing full blood work but as I've rescued Jenga when he was about a week's old (100% indoor cat), I declined. He wasn't pushy but sincere about providing proper care. He was gentle and kind to both Jenga and I. Received a call from Dr Heng and the receptionist at 1130, informing me that the procedure has been done. Picked Jenga up at 1400 and took him home with painkillers. I frequently rescue/foster cats and have been to many vets over the years. It always feels like I've to choose between affordable rates and good service. Thank you for providing both. By far, the most fuss-free sterilization that I've had to put a cat through. Highly recommend. Thank you so much Dr Heng and team. ❤️😌

Vet Dr Lim Choo was very systematic in arresting a few concerns I had for my chihuahua, Kai. He carried out only necessary tests to rule out and confirm conditions. He refrained from prescribing antibiotics too early and suggested further monitoring on a condition. The assistants were also very friendly and helpful. I am a highly satisfied customer. Keep up the good job.

Was attended to by Melvin Tan. He was gentle with our corgi and very patiently answered all our queries. Place was a little hard to find as it was our first time, but was happy to find out that there are many parking lots behind the clinic and a sheltered pick up point just round the corner.

Dr Melvin Tan was very patient and knowledgeable when explaining to us in detail of Jo’s emergency surgery that make us feel less worried. We feel reassurred that she is in good hands and the surgery went very smooth. Jo has fully recovered very well from the surgery and is back to her active self. We are very thankful and grateful to Dr Melvin for his professionlism, care and patience. We would also like to thanks to the nurse who took care of Jo througout the night after the surgery. Really appreciated what has done for Jo on that night for the last minute surgery. Glad that we have brought Jo to West Coast Vetcare. Thank you again Dr Melvin and your team for the great service!

My puppy churros, has just undergone his neutering procedure with vetcare clinic. I am extremely happy with not just the service but also the level of professionalism provided by the vet himself as well as his Nurses. Responsible and frank doctors here . Honest business. Location maybe a little off, located right inside a HDB housing estate . Maybe a little wait here to see the vet . Waiting area consists a few chairs . Luckily the clinic outside is rather quiet , you could bring your pet out to wait if it's get to crowded inside.
