Holland Village has transformed from a Bohemian neighborhood of Lorong liput which seamlessly meets the newer plush, pet-friendly One Holland mall without any walls (yes Mr.Trump….we don't believe in walls!) I had already joined UBX Fitness down the road but after torturing myself for 2 weeks, UBX owner, Rebecca, recommended a studio called Freedom Yoga, which had a promotion running. Walking up the steps of a nearby shophouse, Freedom Yoga itself is as minimalist as it gets—a big yoga room, a bare reception area decorated with faded Polaroids for that “I’m a starving artist” vibe, and a co-ed changing room with 2 clean showers that’s got just enough charm to compete with a North Korean interrogation cell. Book online, find your locker, walk in—no fuzzy “first time here?” hellos, no zen smiles, no eye contacts from the other students. Well ok, I thought: I wasn’t there to find a new BFF; I just wanted a solid workout. After a quick spray of my Chanel Allure Sport I enter the yoga room. Well….the instructor, Veron, was great—she ran the class like a pro, handled my Meniscus torn knee with care, and spared us from any useless headstands. Just some challenging core work and flow movements that felt so good…. The verdict: Great class, no-fuss studio, concrete-changing-room vibes that say, “You’re done; now scram!”—and at $14 a class, it’s a deal. So I’m signing up for 10 classes. There’s a lot to improve on… And here’s a message for the owners: do you guys even care about your Studio? If you do, then you would be more proactive in making yourself present. After my trial class, no one even bothered to follow up with me to ask me to sign up for a package. That may be refreshing compared to other yoga studios, but hello….. at least pretend you care. I’m signing up for 10 more and I’m hoping during that time your Studio will improve….if not, I’m happy to take up this lease from you and transform it into a very cool cocktail bar… which by the way would do very well given I make the most awesome margaritas!

Went for a 5D4N yoga retreat earlier this December at Bali with Freedom yoga, led by Elvina. It was truly a retreat, just the right amount of yoga, free time and activity. Elvina guided us through our intentions for the retreat and added mindfulness sessions which I found really helpful to just slow down from the bustle in Singapore. She even tweaked her yoga sessions according to what we would like to achieve for the retreat. This shows great experience in her teaching and I appreciate that her lessons are student centric. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to step out of our comfort zone and encouraging us every step of the way. Lastly the retreat would not have been complete if not for the friends we've made along the way. Thank you Elvina for making this retreat happen. Will definitely look out for the next retreat again!

I have been going to both Freedom Yoga's Holland V and Martin Rd studios as of currently while I write this review, and have honestly been enjoying my experiences in different ways at each place. I like the rustic charm of the Holland V studio, and the spaciousness of Martin Rd studio. Both studios' mats are in good condition, washrooms are clean, and I really didn't find the studios smelly as certain reviews have portrayed, am feeling puzzled with the negative comments. The instructors know their stuff, are well-organised with their instructions and very affable. Happy to continue coming for classes here!

I walked in from the street and the front office staff answered all my questions and explained how things work there, patiently & with smiles. I joined their classes and soon that place kind of became my second home. Never ever has anybody there been rude to me nor have I witnessed any unprofessional behaviour at the front desk or in the class. I would always come back to their skilled and experienced teachers, bright & clean studio, well-prepared classes, professional advice and a place which offers common ground to everyone. Whether you want to deepen your practice, sweat the day out, calm your senses or stretch that body. They have got it ready and packed with kindness for you. Much love & gratitude to Freedom Yoga as you certainly do things right.

The classes are always quite packed with around 30 ppl in a small room, which is a bit painful for flow classes. Can’t really relaxed and concentrated on the practice, as you have to be cautious not to bump into your neighbors. Would be better if they can keep the group smaller... However, the instructors are overall good and there’s not many other yoga studios around this area, so I still come to this studio quite often...

Emilia was awesome! Class was relaxing and well paced. Thanks to my ability to read, I knew I had to bring my own yoga mat/towel and be on time. So I never experienced any problems unlike these poor poor victims of “bad customer service”.

Cosy studio, amenities were good, two shower stalls and two toilet stalls. Didn’t see any water cooler. Yoga room was abit stuffy (could maybe consider opening the window)

Very good instructors ; but classes get packed so you do feel like a sardine in a tin. For those with claustophobia; avoid . Friendly front desk staff. I do enjoy myself as I like the instructors.
